1341  Economy / Economics / Re: Is there a place in the world you could live like a king via sig campaigns? on: April 14, 2022, 09:30:15 PM
Don't take the signature campaigns as a main income. This is should be just a bonus for the time and effort spent on the forum but turning it into your main income, there are too many negative effects.
First, spamming the forum because of the fulfilling of the minimum requirements often are quite high and if you have nothing to add to the conversation, you just post low effort posts and turn yourself to a spammer.

Even if the current signature campaigns today are paying well, but its never advisable to make it as a priority and be a sole source of income. Even if you live in countries where there is low cost of living, the funds we get from signature campaigns are not sufficient enough. However, if you treat it as another source of income, that will be more great. I believe working in signature campaigns alone will never give you a very comfortable life, but working in it as another source of income, there will always be high probability that it will give you a comfortable life.
1342  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto wealth can only be built in bear market on: April 14, 2022, 08:28:19 PM
Bearish = chance to buy more tokens at the cheap price. That's why the whales are always creating fear during the bearish market to shake the weak hands to sold their tokens cheap to the whales. I think that this is a common thing in the crypto. The smart guy will always be building their assets during the bearish trend. Newbies should try to build their asset rather than waiting for another low to come soon.
The whales will always be taking the advantage of it. Just try to follow what whale does. Newbie must learn from the whale and how they are trading in the market.
Bearish season will always be a good opportunity to build our wealth by taking advantage of the market's low value and buying potential coins at their low prices. This is how we should do it, but most of the newbies tend to be fearful than greedy. They let the big whales control the market and ends up seeing them panicking and selling all they have, instead of buying and hodling more when the market is bearish. Its wise to follow what the whales did but most of the time, they move secretly without us knowing.
1343  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Losing in trading needs questioning on: April 13, 2022, 11:35:03 PM
I have seen many persons come here to lament of them losing one or two funds in trading which is very obvious and need questioning of how and where they learn there own trading skill from. I have had of a crypto traders that lost all his funds in one day because of market volatility. This happens frequently and I think there is need to recall where the cause could be from.

Yes as a trader, losing one or two trades is part of the game but sometimes losing everything that had been accumulated for weeks, months is very painful and there is need to know whether it's due to ignorance or insufficient trading skill. Acquiring sufficient trading skill is very important in trading which can also help to get good results.

I usually ask myself questions whenever I have consecutive loses in trading, trying to know where I'm getting it wrong. This had helped me many times to get more trading knowledge that had improved my entire trading.
Losing once or twice in trading is very natural, but consistent losing in crypto is another story. There must be something wrong with how you manage your trades. So this is why we end up questioning ourselves where did we commit mistakes. But i guess making mistakes and losses in trading will have a bigger contribution in our success later on as we always learn from our past losses and failures.
1344  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbies Learn From Your Senior Colleagues. on: April 13, 2022, 11:07:45 PM
By the way, just because one’s profile is a newbie rank may not automatically mean that the person behind the account has no clue about cryptocurrencies and vice versa. While learning to read more than one can reply is very important.
You are right mate. Some newbies are seen more knowledgeable and have given more brilliant ideas than some of the senior members. But in most cases, newbies that have less prior knowledge and experience, should always take the courage to follow the path of those who are ahead of them because its more proven here that once you have stay longer in this market, you have more proven experiences that could help those newbies who are still starting to explore in this market.
1345  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why are there no altcoins that can replace Bitcoin? on: April 13, 2022, 10:17:28 PM
No alt will ever replace bitcoin, not in our lifetime any way. Bitcoin is King Daddy, there’s a reason alts were nicknamed shitcoins.
Bitcoin is the only coin who dominates the market, and altcoins are just created as an alternatives to bitcoin. But i believe not all altcoins are shitcoins, but definitely a lot of them. And no wonder bitcoin becomes the king of crypto market because its the most trusted coin that can give us guaranteed profits, whereas altcoins are more prone on scams that is why wise investors are very cautious when it comes investing in altcoins.
1346  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why beginners should pay attention to their privacy on: April 13, 2022, 09:05:18 PM
I don't often/ever encourage people to watch videos, but this would be 30 minutes well spent, even if you don't like his humor: Data Brokers: Last Week Tonight with John Oliver (HBO)

The whole segment is pretty terrifying. Everyone knows (or should know) that most browsers, websites, and apps monitor you and collect your data. What many people don't know is that data brokers buy and sell every piece of data about you that they can, right down to your debts and your medical conditions, and they sell it to literally anyone who wants it. A broker called Epsilon settled for $150 million after selling data to people they knew were scammers for over 10 years. Data has been sold to domestic abusers and stalkers, allowing them to track down old victims. The video mentions a case of a murder after the victim's data was purchased for less than $50.

Plenty of companies say your data is anonymized, de-identified, or collated with other data before being shared or sold, and lots of people think that means they are safe. Not so. One study found that 99.98% of anonymized data could be de-anonymized and used to identify individual users. Anonymizing data is meaningless. Even simply visiting a website (but not actually doing anything on said website) still provided the website with enough information to personally identify the user in question, track down their contact information, and send them an email minutes later.

They sell your data to the government. Governments might need a warrant or other legal ruling to come and search your computer or devices, but they don't need any permission at all to simply buy that information from data brokers. Multiple three letter agencies are buying your data and using it for anything they please. This is a very similar situation to a variety of three letter agencies employing the services of various blockchain analysis companies to track your bitcoin addresses and transactions.

In addition, centralized exchanges provide all sorts of data to data brokers, especially if you willingly hand over your KYC information. So do blockchain explorers. So do servers of SPV and light wallets. So will sites like Coinmarketcap or various crypto news sites. All this bitcoin related and other crypto related information will be pooled with all the other information held about you and sold to anyone who wants it, including scammers and criminals. Remember that simply clicking on a website was enough for that website to identify that exact person. Do you really want the whole world to know how much bitcoin you are holding?

The amount of privacy invasion going on in our daily lives is staggering. Don't make it even worse by willingly violating your own privacy.

A good place to start taking back some control in general: https://www.privacyguides.org/
Peer to peer bitcoin trades, avoiding the privacy invasion of centralized exchanges: https://bisq.network/, https://localcryptos.com/, https://hodlhodl.com/
Run your own node, and avoiding leaking information about your addresses and transactions: https://bitcoin.org/en/bitcoin-core/
Thanks for the very informative article that makes it a very helpful advice. I guess we need privacy not just in our crypto investment, but definitely in all transactions that we made either in fiat or crypto. This is why we need not to easily trust the exchanges even those decentralized ones because we don't hold guarantees that brokers can't get our personal information because once they do it as a job, they will always find ways to track our personal details and maybe in the future, expose how many bitcoins we have. So lets not wait for that to happen. Be cautious in everything we do particularly in visiting websites because that will aid them to indulge on our own privacy without our awareness. Better be safe than sorry.
1347  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Some Errors We Make In Trading Crypto on: April 13, 2022, 08:34:45 PM
  • Crypto is not a get-rich-quick scheme- so seeing it as one is a big error and can lead to a lot of other mistakes and loses.
Of course it isn't, but quite a lot of people do not believe that, i think a lot of problems people have with crypto stems from the fact that they want crypto to make them rich asap, as a result they invest/trade without research, they invest/trade with more than they can afford to lose, they become impatient, they choose 'lottery' coins and end up in the receiving end, etc. People need to take crypto trading/investing as what can produce/provide a secondary source of income, that way they would be patient enough to do their research and make good decisions.

In truth newcomers need to understand that there is no trading guide that can guarantee them profits, all they must do is learn all there is to and make the right choices, but profit and loss remains a possibility, but when you lose, just learn from it and move on.
Most of the newcomers see crypto as a big opportunity to get rich in a quicker way because i believe they are considering the higher value of crypto compared to fiat. Not knowing, that if they instantly invest or trade in crypto without prior knowledge and experience, it will easily lose their funds and they become poorer instead. So those who have mindset that crypto will make you rich instantly is definitely wrong. You will only become rich here if you have the knowledge and skills, the good and proven strategies, and of course patience all the time, but it takes time before you can achieved all of these.
1348  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: buy my home with bitcoin on: April 13, 2022, 08:12:17 PM
i want to sell my property for bitcoin..
is there anyone here who buys property with bitcoin??

I don't think anyone can buy your home with only this information.  If you are serious in selling your house in bitcoins, you need to tell your location and city. Since only the locals can buy your home and most probabaly they will not give you bitcoin for that.

Why not sale your home with the help of real estae agents in your city for fiat and later convert that money recevied by selling the house, into bitcoins. This will be much easy procress because it is hard to find people who are willing to spend crypto in order to buy the house.
Its hard to find buyers who are willing to give away their hard earned bitcoin in exchange for a house. Because bitcoin is tend to be kept as an investment, fiat should be the one to spend. Better to sell your house in fiat, that way you will find potential buyers. And when you have the fiat, convert them to bitcoin if you wish to accumulate more bitcoin than fiat.
1349  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Fall of BTC open the opportunity to buy alts on: April 12, 2022, 11:11:01 PM

The bear market of BTC means also bear for altcoins. You are not safe either to buy altcoins this time. But you may have to wait for months to finally see whether the bear market will be over. I'm not very sure actaully where the market will go from here, it could even go up again by mid this month.

The opportunity is from the traders who had sold thier BTC for stablecoin while the price of BTC goes up. If you are holding BTC still to buy altcoin then you have lost that opportunity already.
Opportunities are great when you start to seize it at its bear season. So definitely, its the perfect time to accumulate more bitcoin than altcoins. Because if you focus on altcoins since they are more cheap, your future profits will be lesser too. But if you stick with bitcoin, you can maximize the opportunity through buying more and selling more for huge profits.
1350  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin continue to have the same effect on alts? on: April 12, 2022, 10:37:39 PM
What do y'all think? Will BTC price movement continue to have the same effect on alts price in like 10 years? 20 years maybe? Let's hear some expert opinions.
It depends. If bitcoin still dominates the market after 10 or 20 years, then its always expected that altcoins are still bound to follow bitcoin's path. Whatever the price of bitcoin, altcoins will be greatly influenced and benefit from it. If bitcoin price drops more, altcoins prices are expected to drop more deeply than bitcoin. However, no one holds the future of bitcoin and crypto space, maybe by that time a new powerful altcoin will be able to replace bitcoin's position. In that case, bitcoin will surely be affected by the leading altcoin.
1351  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is Using a Stop loss "Good" or "Bad" on: April 12, 2022, 09:44:27 PM
It's neither good or bad — because it's just a tool. You simply use it if you want to idle out a bit. Basically you use it to automatically sell if it drops too much to a certain pricepoint where you think it could drop more. And as with any other tool, people use it differently. You just need to use it in a way that it benefits you with your strategy.
Using stop loss will only be useful if you are benefiting from it, but if you are seeing it differently, then that makes it useless for you. So it really depends on how you use it. But as for me, it serves as a helping tool to create security on my position. So i don't have to worry every time i trade, because i have set my stop loss so i won't fall for further losses. However, others are seeing it differently, because they tend to see stop loss as more of a threat than a helpful guide.
1352  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: No condition is permanent in crypto on: April 12, 2022, 09:12:54 PM
Take advantage of the moment, the price of crypto if permanent will not be as popular as now. Not only that even the stock market or other is also not permanent, and nothing is permanent in this world. Both sides are mutually beneficial but sometimes a prolonged bear market makes us hold for a long terms.
There are always bear and bull season of the market, and that is inevitable. Newbies should understand that the market is very volatile and that makes the market prone to changes. If we are in bear season at the moment, expect that in the next couple of months the market will turn into bullish. This is why we should always take advantage in every market's condition because we don't know what will be the behavior of the market the following day. Seize every moment so you can gain maximum profits in the end.
1353  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I'm new here, Is it a scam or what? They ask me to invest $100 and after 24 hou on: April 11, 2022, 11:29:16 PM
They ask me to invest $100 and after 24 hours you win $2000

I took a picture of the conversation but I can't download the picture here

First of all, this is really fishy. Who in their right mind is going to give you $2000 for $100?It is really a 101% scam. This is what they say: passive income, for which you are not doing anything. No matter what your conversation with that guy is, I am really sure that he/she will scam you. It is still your choice, but I know a lot of people will post here that it is a scam.  I think this should be moved to another board since it isn't about trading at all
You don't have to ask, because its very clear that its a big scam. Everything that seems too good to be true is certainly a red flag. Stay away from that kind of investment if you want to secure your money. Its better to stick on the established projects or invest in bitcoin if you are looking for guaranteed profits.
1354  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you spread BTC to people within you on: April 11, 2022, 09:09:52 PM
Just casually mention it to them, and don't force it down their throats especially if they didn't even show at least a sliver of interest. Unless you have the time to literally explain most of the things about it concerning security and scammers and such; because if you don't and they lose their money one way or another, there's a decent chance that they're going to blame you.
And knowing bitcoin is always associated with scamming, so there's always high chances that we will be the one to blame out from their ignorance. This is why i don't often share about bitcoin into other people, unless if they start asking me and i've seen the interest in them. That way, i'm very willing to explain. I guess helping others who really want to learn about bitcoin is one way i have done my part in spreading bitcoin and the facts about it.
1355  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do you agree market behavior has changed? on: April 10, 2022, 08:18:30 PM
Not all traders work the same way, that's the reason why all traders aren't profitable always. Every trader has different strategies to make money. And not many traders use tools for trading as well. So I don't think market behavior changed. A lot of things related to the market, a lot of psychology works on the cryptocurrency market. So nothing changing except using the latest tools. Some traders just see the candles like me those don't use any tools. However, I can't say market behavior changed just for a few tools. There will be always losses and gainer.
The market has remained to be unpredictable, and there's no way that it will be changed. What keeps on changing are the market trends and events, that create price changes in the market. However, if you trade using those new tools and using your own working strategies, you will have high probability to win your trades. But if you trade even with those new tools around but is not using proven strategies, more likely you will not gain anything. So its more on the trader's capabilities on how he will cope up with the fast changing market conditions and take advantage from them.
1356  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: April 08, 2022, 09:05:21 PM

One more is Brooklyn Nets vs Cleveland Cavaliers. Seth Curry is questionable to play but I want to lean on Kyrie and Durant to maintain that 8th spot. They could do it, they should. Nets -8.5

The last time I saw these two teams play, it was a close game, so I'm not really confident with that -8.5 seeing how the Cavaliers are playing. But anyhow, it is still possible for the Nets to cover the spread, it's just that I'm not confident, so instead, I'll go with the total and take the over 232.5.
1357  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Oscar Awards 2022 betting thread on: April 08, 2022, 08:46:23 PM
I saw a youtube speculating that the slap is just staged, because they say that no one is watching Oscars anymore, and after that slap, here's what happened.

Oscars audience grew by 555,000 after Will Smith slapped Chris Rock.

Quote
The Oscars audience swelled by more than half a million people on Sunday shortly after Will Smith slapped Chris Rock, capping the awards show with a late-night surge.

At 10:27 p.m., Mr. Smith attacked Mr. Rock after the comedian delivered a joke onstage about Mr. Smith’s wife, Jada Pinkett Smith. Nearly 17.4 million viewers were watching in the minutes after the slap, up from 16.8 million shortly before it, according to Nielsen data released by ABC.

If the speculation is right, then congratulations to them as they did a great job on acting.
1358  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: April 08, 2022, 12:44:45 PM

We are witness the great Jokic doing what he knows best and I think there are no more interpretations of who deserves to be MVP this year.

No more discussion, we already know the winner.  Grin

We have Phoenix vs Jazz tomorrow, will the home team (jazz) beat the number 1 team in the NBA now?
As per report, Booker, Ayton, and Paul are questionable, I think Jazz could handle the Suns.
1359  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Inoue vs Donaire II discussion on: April 08, 2022, 11:36:58 AM
^^ We can only speculate that a fighter can still fight and put up his best during his last performance. And with that said, we can see that Donaire has still the power in both hands as he was able to knock out his opponent and then get the belt easily. So for now, let's say that his age will not be a factor until we see him in the ring against Inoue. If he still has it, then it will be a good fight and he might have a chance to upset the Monster, if not, then he could be knock out in the early rounds because Inoue will be too much.
For Donaire to be able to win the fight, he must have a good look to counter Inoue and KO him, otherwise, he will just again lose in points because Inoue is more mobile and he throws more punches than Donaire. It's not an easy fight for Donaire but his win in the past fight should give him enough confidence to beat the beast.

The last time these two fought, Donaire converts good numbers of solid punches, but Inoue ignores and overpowers him. It's convincing that Inoue is really powerful but if Donaire will again converts those solid punches, the chance is high since he just win his last fight with a good decent strategy and combinations, if he will enhance that style he may upset and make his revenge to Inoue.

We can't tell if how this fight will end. The chance for both fighters is equal. They are both champ and have that KO punches.

Inoue was smart, he knows that he if will go bell to bell against Donaire, he might get caught by a solid counter that he cannot take anymore. Instead, he use his quickness, score and let Donaire throw more punches to make him tired, and then he use his body punch technique which wear down Donaire.
1360  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: April 08, 2022, 08:45:19 AM
Jokic's performance is one of the best we've seen in years. This guy is a true star player and I don't think there is a better candidate to be MVP. I really like what he does, I wonder if he will stay with the Nuggets next year.
I think this player deserves to be champion, I would like to see him in a better team Cheesy
There was Embiid who is doing well this season but Jokic is just too good because he provides consistency and the team's ranking is going up despite they are missing Murray and Porter Jr.

As we can read in this article.
https://sports.yahoo.com/nba-betting-nikola-jokic-is-now-massive-mvp-favorite-180117990.html

It says that he is already a massive favorite to win the award this season, he is now  -275 favorite to win.
