Dbag scam team/league does it again (3rd game in a row), NLEX up 39:23 after 15min and in the next 15min they are 12:33 , makes total sense.

When does FIBA or any supervision look into this shit and stop this?

Next game and NEXT scam, lol. Same as last game, leading whole start of the game until 43:33 and then some minutes later it is 49:58, another easy peasy 25:6 run against NLEX, as always .

Still not rigged when it happens every game?

It's still not rigged for me. what are you thinking? do you expect that the favorite always wins the game? Come on, this is a semi-finals series, every team will adjust especially those teams that are losing in the series. Actually, if you are a bettor and you are aware of the system, there's nothing to worry or complain about.

You'll only call a game is rigged when the outcome is opposite of your expectation, but don't mind it brother, it's normal, sometimes people have their personal opinon even though they don't have an evidence calling the game rigged.
1402  Other / Off-topic / Re: Jake Paul vs Conor McGregor on: March 24, 2022, 09:35:51 PM
This match may possible to happen if both parties agrees with the terms, we know McGregor will fight even if this is not his forte as long as he get paid well here, same thing with Jake Paul.

I think Jake Paul's camp are the one who offered the money for Connor, therefore the approval should only come from Connor and we will see this fight happening if he approves. The offer based on the previous post is very huge, we are talking of $50 million USD here, so I think that amount is hard to resist knowing Connor doesn't make that much in his previous MMA fight.

Looks like this is a bad news for Ginebra.

Japeth Aguilar's calf injury a dampener for Ginebra's Game One win

Quote
BARANGAY Ginebra's Game 1 win over NLEX cost the Gin Kings one key player as big man Japeth Aguilar went down with a calf injury.

Coach Tim Cone confirmed the 6-foot-9 Aguilar went down with the injury at the end of the Kings' 95-86 victory over the Road Warriors to open their PBA Governors Cup semifinals series at the MOA Arena.

"It put a damper on our win," said Cone.

This is a big loss for the team, and with that said, NLEX has a good chance of winning game 2, as well as the series.
1404  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: A few key points distinguishing traders from gamblers on: March 24, 2022, 09:05:49 PM
well, the very big difference i know from gamblers and traders is, gamblers purely expect luck in doing that, while traders are based on analysis, research and also other things to get it. Moreover, in the world of traders you are not risking your money 100%, even when the price drops, you still have the same amount of assets. whereas in gambling, when you lose, you lose everything.
Traders and gamblers share a common thing, both have risks. But traders have their own way to lessen the risk because they make preparations prior to trading. And by making theirselves exposed to technical and fundamental factors in trading, they create higher chances to win their trades. However, gamblers do the opposite thing. They always gamble with no preparations, just pure luck. And when they start to gamble, they mostly go all in. So they end up losing everything.
1405  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Scams now the second largest in the world on: March 23, 2022, 11:28:37 PM
What do we really expect from having an open decentralized industry though? Of course there will be a crap ton of scams. But we really can't sort of "police" this, people in general just need to be a lot smarter or just a lot less stupid when it comes to investing their money.
Scams are mostly inevitable for people who chose to invest without prior knowledge on what they are putting money into. They become the target of scammers because they are more stupid than being smart. But for some who don't easily trust people and will not care to invest if they are not sure about it, scamming will very rare to happen for them. But as they always say, you may spend money to make money, and not to lose it.
1406  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: My Trading Strategy on: March 23, 2022, 10:56:38 PM
True you can gain confidence if you always backtesting because on that way you can see which strategy and what pattern always exist in the history of the market and definitely after that you can build your own system as well,  it just required patience and a lot efforts.

Actually most successful traders that i know even they're good already but still they keep back testing after trading, wherein just to see which strategy still accurate and whats their mistakes as well so that they can avoid it in their next day of trading.
DCA and back testing have proved a lot of times that you will never be in a loss at the end of your trades. But in trading, there are no strategies that will always work all the time. No trading strategy is perfect so you have to improve it or even replace it when it seems its not working anymore. However, back testing may gained you confidence but its still not a guarantee that it will always bring successful trades. The trading market is unpredictable due to its constant changes, so traders should always learn to develop new strategies that will continue working on them.
1407  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Cryptocurrency education in school's curriculum, good or needless? on: March 23, 2022, 09:58:37 PM
This type of thread has appeared here before, but i could not recall the board in particular we render or rise different suggestions concerning cryptocurrency education and adoption in universities. So the only factor i notices that made cryptocurrency not be included in educational curriculum, is because government have not officially endorse cryptocurrency, even some countries who has legalize cryptocurrency have not embrace it's educational function, but i know in due course cryptocurrency will be a discipline in educational field.
Education should always comply with what the government says. Otherwise, the school will be subject for investigation. However, teaching cryptocurrency and include it into the school curriculum will always be a good idea as it can help the learners to know and understand what is crypto and its functions and benefits to the financial industry. But knowing the government has not legalized and accepted it, then the school should always respect the government and will not start teaching cryptocurrency unless the government has approved it.
1408  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: To all of the die-hard crypto airdrop hunters who can hardly relate…. on: March 23, 2022, 07:16:55 PM
Participating in an airdrop or bounty is, in a way, an investment of time. If we invest anything, we should do a good research of the project and the campaign to which we want to join. It is not easy and not everyone can do it, so if you want to reduce the risk, you should only join campaigns that are managed by experienced and well-known managers, because they will do the research for you.
In this case, it's hard to say anything because we don't know anything about the project, but asking to send any amount to get a reward is always a 100% scam.
Right. Asking money prior to distribution of tokens is already a red flag. Participants should never be the one paying, its the task of the bounty developers. This is mostly the case if you join a project without doing a research on it. Participants should always do a background check first before they  start to invest their time and effort. And yes, look for reputable bounty managers as they will never try to ruin their credibility just for a single mistake. Always have time to DYOR. That way, you will have an edge over the bounty.
1409  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Hoard Bitcoin? on: March 23, 2022, 06:01:25 PM
If Bitcoin is a better and higher currency than fiat, why then do bitcoiners hurdle it?
I think money is best used for buying and selling not hoarding, we get to see the value more when using it.
This my thoughts, wby?

It's just that "better" as you use it in this context is very imprecise. Bitcoin is more valuable than fiat currencies, it is a currency that has to appreciate and fiat currencies tend to depreciate. So if you have to make an expense, what are you going to do, spend the good currency (Bitcoin) and save the fiat currency? What you would do in that case is to impoverish yourself. If, on the other hand, you spend the bad currency and save the Bitcoin you will tend to get richer.
As long as fiat exists, bitcoin will always be a good store of value. Otherwise, spending it simply means you will miss the chances to be more profitable when its value even grows more. However, some people use it as a currency because its certainly its real purpose. Well, sometimes you also have to spend it especially if you run out in fiat, but in most cases, if you want to be more sustainable in making profits, spending bitcoin while its value is increasing is never a good idea. Spend fiat but always keep bitcoin for long term investment.
1410  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is trading journals worth it? on: March 23, 2022, 08:45:29 AM
Some traders do write down what they feel or what they were thinking the moment they make a certain trade, and they use the journal to see mistake patterns and learn from them. e.g. you might not realize that you might have been FOMO'ing a lot, and checking your journal might help you see that.
That's exactly why keeping a trading journal is important because it will help you track your past mistakes and losses so you won't be doing the same mistakes again in the next trades. Also, it will show how well you do in trading when you focus using your strengths. That way, you can be more successful in trading when you focus more on your strengths and do things to improve your weakness.
1411  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Assumptions of People who don't know about bitcoin... Ki on: March 22, 2022, 11:20:13 PM

1) Bitcoin is a bubble : This is the most common thing the community has said against it from the past and it could burst anytime but they are proved wrong each time. The prices increase they say it will burst out and when they falls they say it's crash but in reality they don't know anything about it.It is a currency and like any other asset can go up and down in value so what do you expect from it? But in reality btc is needle that is bursting fiat bubbles.
This is mostly what I've to hear from the people around before but today, upon asking them, you can hear different stories some will say "it was a profitable investment and any got rich" , while the others will still think it was a scam and it burst. It is likely to say that many were still not aware of the situation by now, many were never appreciates Bitcoin, in fact, it has already been proven so many times. And to argue with these negative people is just a waste of time, but I believe they'll change somehow sooner and they realize that they are wrong.
This is not new to everyone as skeptics have always asked this. But is bitcoin really a bubble? The fact that until at the present time bitcoin is very alive simply defines that bitcoin is not a bubble and its not going to burst out.

People always have their own misinterpretations about bitcoin but we can't blame them because they lack the knowledge and the facts about bitcoin. However, if they can go depth in research with bitcoin, that's the time they will clearly understand the real potentials of bitcoin instead.
1412  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you spend crypto? If yes, for what? on: March 22, 2022, 09:46:30 PM
Here's a question to the audience. Do you actually buy stuff with crypto, like services or goods? If yes, what kind?

I've recently got a Binance card to play around with and use it to pay for everyday expenses. Works pretty well.
If only Binance card is applicable in our country maybe I spend some of my crypto for payment using that. But since its not, my tendency is to convert to fiat first from stablecoins then withdraw it to my bank and paid for goods or services. Actually its same but some country enjoy the perks of some good crypto card like crypto.com and binance card.
Same here in my country. I can never use crypto directly, i still have to convert it into fiat. But maybe if Binance card and the likes are already available in our country, then its still not usable because most of the merchants here are still not accepting crypto as a payment. Though it can be used online, but physical stores are still accepting fiat only. However, no worries for me, crypto will be more valuable having it as an investment only.
1413  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: It seems that more people taking crypto trading as full time job on: March 22, 2022, 08:49:40 AM
If we are just a normal wage earner, this is really an opportunity but the problem is now how going to start if we don't have enough capital. Most of these people commit loans which I think was not a good idea because, for me, this will only give more problems if we got compromise our trades. It could really be very unfortunate that many individuals had lose their chance as to whether we like it or not, trading needs money that those who have problems financially can't take this. Some had started trading but later on, they also just quit that because of a lack of financial support.
The moment you decide to become a trader, you are not only knowledgeable enough, but you should also be capable to provide a good capital for trading. But this is not happening in the real world of trading. Most of the traders started with loans, and most likely end up with loans. This is really true as i've known friends who are really experiencing this.

Trading do not guarantee secure profits, but its one way to earn big if you are good at it. However, losses are still inevitable and this is why trading with borrowed money mostly never works and not really advisable. In fact, it may even lead you to live a miserable life in the end. So trade only with an amount available to you that you can afford to lose too.
1414  Other / Meta / Re: Why I love Bitcointalk! on: March 22, 2022, 07:42:03 AM
I've been on this forum for quite a few years (joined in 2014, but went through two large periods of inactivity) and to be honest, it has been a wonderful experience. Despite the fact that it's a great source of income, anyone who denies that is simply lying, it's also an exceptional website to gain knowledge and most importantly, ask for assistance, which will be provided selflessly, no strings attached and without risking being scammed.

I've seen exceptional people here, who were always willing to assist me without any hesitation, compared to Discord or Telegram groups for instance, which are filled with scammers willing to take advantage of you.
Indeed this forum has been my best outlet to gain more knowledge not just cryptocurrency itself, but even the important events that are currently happening. This is the reason why i always find myself scrolling down the pages in the forum that creates a day-to-day learning on my part. And to think that most of the members here are more transparent and very honest on their opinions and ideas, this makes me more eager to stay here for long. And as they always say that learning is more possible if you do it with peers, so this forum is indeed a living proof to it.
1415  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What can we do to speed up Bitcoin mass adoption? on: March 21, 2022, 10:51:06 PM
It's actually not that easy to encourage merchants in stores by suggesting they accept payments via Bitcoin. Here unless the merchant in the shop is a bitcoin lover. Maybe once in a while, if you really want to try it won't be too risky. However, keep in mind that the rules of a country that only allow one legal currency to be used for transactions will definitely be bound by that law. Because generally in some countries Bitcoin is only considered as an investment alternative that is equated with gold, stocks, and other types of digital asset investments. So that the transaction process outside the stock exchange that has been prepared by the government is clearly not allowed.
Bitcoin mass adoption will be always be hard if we skip with the very basic and certainly, the most important thing to do first. For me, let there be recognition from the government first that bitcoin is legally adopted and fully regulated so that all merchants will be encourage to accept bitcoin as a legal payment. Not that it will replace the official currency, because that won't be possible, but accepting bitcoin as an alternative payment method. From then on, buying and selling with bitcoin will become an easy routine that will definitely help to speed up its own adoption.
1416  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best strategy for crypto trading on: March 21, 2022, 09:52:45 PM
To be honest, sometimes different strategies can work out situations in different ways. Much depends on the market situation.

Everything depends on the market situation, even more on what we did before some big turn! How many of us got surprised with some crazy turn? Not once or twice, to some of us, this happened many times over the past years!
So the best strategy in crypto trading is to stay calm when the storm comes! For me, that's the hardest part... there are different strategies, but if we don't have a peace in mind we will probably make a wrong move, been there done that, so now I am trying to keep myself from negatives when market is bearish, better days will come, as a long term trader I know that patience is everything!
Just embrace all the market uncertainties because this is the nature of the crypto market. You can never trade expecting that the market won't crash at any given time because most of the time, the market goes in an opposite direction. So always stay calm and focused.  You can never land a best strategy in trading but you can always find a trading strategy that will best suit on you. Trading is never perfect, so you also have to deal its imperfections if you want to stay in trading for long.
1417  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stay away from crypto influencers on: March 21, 2022, 09:09:38 AM
Whether or not the influencers are getting paid, people should build the habit of Doing their own research when it comes to investing and trading. You bear the financial risk of your decisions and should not base those decisions on someone else's opinion.

There is no guarantee in cryptocurrencies, so any project that "promises" any type pf growth at all is a huge red flag.
The most common reasons why you stay in crypto are to make good profits and accumulate more bitcoin, and you cannot achieve these goals if you are only relying from crypto influencers. They're no good for nothing since they only focus on their own desire, to have their own profits.

Crypto does not guarantee huge profits in an instant. Everything will be done by hard work. But being knowledgeable and well skilled in crypto will always give you an advantage to create consistent profits in crypto, even how small or big it is.
1418  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Getting more skills in trading on: March 20, 2022, 09:18:57 PM
You are giving general headings which cannot be taken as a basis for benefiting from anything, so at least add more details like definition of technical indicators, how to read charts, opening an account in tradingview, and some simple experiments.

Then you can only learn if you do the experience, which is a basis for enhancing theoretical knowledge, and trading means losing, and therefore you must pay attention to the psychological aspects.

In addition to the science of studying the market, bearing risks and not investing money that you fear losing.
As a newbie, there are a lot of things that you really have to know and get familiarize with if you want to enter trading. With your due diligence, you can acquire them slowly. But the best teacher would still be experience. What you learned from the books, videos and trading tutorials will go into waste if you do not care to apply them in the real field of trading. Trading is practically more on developed knowledge and enhanced skills, and with the right attitude in trading, and of course knowing its best entry and best exit will certainly guide you to avoid so much losses in trading.
1419  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: March 18, 2022, 05:20:11 PM
So be it, this is still as interesting as Inoue vs Casimero. When we thought that Donaire is over the hill already, he shows some brilliance in his last couple of months paving the way for a rematch.

I do hope that the fight will happen in the US, so that there will be no restrictions from fight fans to be able to watch the fight live and for sure the tickets can be sold out and this is one of the most anticipated fight in the lower division.

We can probably see about Inoue vs Casimero soon after the latter is finish to his fight next month against Butler, and the other possibility is a rematch between Inoue and Donaire since the Japanese boxer have said that he's going back this June. Either way, we'll see some news this coming few weeks or next month.
I think this match is very interesting, I hope it can take place, although I really wish the GGG vs. Canelo match could take place, it's a fight that looks very interesting, but I don't know how many fights there should be between both boxers and others so that they can get to it, I also have doubts about the fight with Bivol, we all know that he is a Russian boxer and that due to all the sanctions that the world has given to the country, in this particular one they have not pronounced, it will be because of the huge amount of money that moves here? because here there have been no such prohibitions (which seems good to me, I don't see politics) and I hope that it can happen, but will that fight be in check?

GGG vs Canelo would happen if the rumors are true, but they have to defeat their opponent first in their coming fight. As a fan, all I wish is to see a fight between the best of the best, and GGG vs Canelo is surely one of the best fights to see and of course, our very own Casimero fighting Inoue, that's another treat.
1420  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: March 18, 2022, 04:47:25 PM
Playoffs would be boring if the stars will not play.

We need to see Curry and Chris Paul in their uniform in the playoffs because that makes the playoffs more exciting and we will see a deserving team to win the playoffs. On the news that I read regarding their injury, it didn't say that they'll be out in the season, so we have to be optimistic that they will return soon.
Yes, so true. Also, that takes out the bad reasoning being done by the fans of each team. Like "Phoenix Suns lose because there is no CP3." I don't like to hear that. So it would be better if all of them will be healthy although that is impossible with how they play at full force during the playoffs.
Something bad will always happen, either a punch to the face, an elbow, or a foot being left at where the shooter will land.
I still want to see them play at that time to avoid those kinds of reasons by the bandwagons and it's more entertaining to see them silenced and bleeding to find the cause of their respective team's defeat.  Grin
That happened last season, lots of excuses from the losing teams from the fans' perspective, I still remember the excuses last season.

1-Lakers loss due to Davis injury.
2- Clippers loss due to Leonard's injury
3-Nets loss due to Irving's injury
4- Atlanta loss due to Trae Young's injury
5- Nuggets loss due to Murray's injury.

==

6- Sixers loss due to Simmon's low basketball IQ,... kidding.  Smiley
