Ok so it seems that Inoue vs Fulton is already set and the fight is going to be held in Japan, probably May-June, so this is a big news for us boxing fans. When we thought that Fulton is going to step up and go to 126 lbs because he doesn't want to fight Inoue.

Let's wait for the official announcement, at least the path is clear now for Inoue to go after the belt but it's not going to be easy as he will be fighting a great champion as well.  For sure this is going to be a lot of action in this fight.

Fulton's highlights vs Brandon Figueroa.

What are they thinking? is this their way to keep everything balanced?  Cheesy Grin

Ja Morant is surely one of a kind and the fans are always looking forward to seeing him dunk on someone every time he plays. Thankfully he always has been negative and we can see more of his amazing dunks in the future. Though they are different from Vince Carter, I'm glad I'm seeing in the NBA who can actually dunk without hesitation whenever he got the chance. He really needs to do more of this because he will miss it when he gets old as Vince does.

Really? Grin Poor Morant, getting ambushed with a drug test for six times already in this season alone. I can't blame the NBA management if they are getting suspicious with the players this season because this season has been full of surprises and I still cannot believe that a 40 to 50 points became much easier to achieve. I remember Donovan Mitchell got an explosive night and the NBA tested him the day after.

If there is one player that they were to be suspicious, it will be Lebron James, lol. He has been in the league for 20 years and still can give us highlight dunks every now and then. Vince lost everything when he enters his 20th season.

Yeah, poor Ja Morant, perhaps we haven't seen this kind of players though, standing what? 6'1" or 6'2" but can dunk taller than him.

Probably he is really gifted or the trainings he got or the advancement of sports science, not drugs in his system.

We got trap by Kyrie not playing, Lol, woke up see the score in the first quarter and I say something is not right. Later we all found out that Kyrie is not going to play, ouch.

On the other hand, we all know that Giannis is not going to play against the Raptors, but some of us are still not being sold on it and think that maybe the Raptors can pull something, but Holiday want's nothing of that. Bad 1/3, only my Nuggets bet won the game last night.
2384  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Caleb Plant vs David Benavidez on: January 16, 2023, 11:36:42 PM
Canelo though might be changing his strategies as he is not getting old this year, he said that he wants to fight 3x a year but I doubt that it will happen since he has his hands broken already and that is not a good sign.

I know that all roads lead to him, but he will be very careful as who is going to face in his comeback fight, and yeah it could be Ryder first. And then wait for the outcome of this fight, whether it's a viable option for him or not to face a young Mexican in David Benavidez or hide in the reason that he doesn't want to fight a Mexican boxer next.

I believe the injury is not so serious, with enough time of healing he will be alright and will be back 100%. Canelo is definitely ready for challengers, and it's not a problem if he will only fights 2 times or even 1 time a year as we can assure you it will be a quality fight. Canelo is already 32 years old, not young enough but still capable, still in his prime IMO.

I cannot really say that it wasn't that serious because Canelo still had to go surgery just to bring his wrist back to normal, I bet the the doctors were already saying that he needed the surgery after his fight with Bivol because he's already aching at that time and when he fought with GGG afterwards, his wrist has gotten more worse than what he endured during the Bivol fight. Anyway, the good news is Canelo's hand is looking fine and he needed to test the waters first and fight Ryder to see if it's indeed recovered.

This is not the first time though that Canelo's hand has been injured, Alvarez fractured his right thumb during his fight against Liam Smith, but it didn't require any surgery that time, he had to rest it for 6 weeks if I'm not mistaken.

But this time, it was not just the thumb, but it's the wrist that is hurting, and yeah he had this prior to the 3rd installment fight with GGG, so he is suffering from multiple hand injuries throughout the years and say that he couldn't deal with it anymore so the best course of action is to hand his surgically repaired. Reports says that they have removed the cast already and doing rehab now and see the extend, whether he can throw power punches in the mitt without his hands hurting. It was his left hand btw, that powerful left hook.
2385  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum Vs Cardano on: January 16, 2023, 11:15:23 PM
Do you think cardano will over take ethereum in terms of tech with voltaire being worked on this year. Along with erc20 converter for easy conversion to cardano via ethereum.   Cheesy

No, eth has ton of development too and truth to be told Charles Hoskinson doesn't seem that smart. I mean he is smart but compared to ETH dev team he seems like he has impossible mission ahead him.
Ad then there are the devs, ETH has the lead and devs who want to make money stay on the chain that has most users for their tech.

Yeah, but you have to understand that Charles Hoskinson was once the developer of ETH too, so at some point he knows what he is doing and perhaps looking at his competitor and whatnot. Or having his own roadmap for this project. And if I'm not mistaken, he continue to developed ADA and he keeps on giving us update as much as he can in social medias.

ADA and almost every altcoin out there has been predicted to be an ETH killer, but somehow people don't understand that eth doesn't need to be killed. If someone has a new approach they can just do that. ETH and BTC can live side by side as they are not killing each other. They are doing somehing completely different. So it should be with newcomers. They should be fixing something ETH or BTC isn't fixing. Visionaries are building new things. They aren't next anything, they are themselves that others want to be next.

I do believed that there will be no ETH killer, we have heard this since 2017 and we haven't seen one even getting closer to ETH as far as the pricing goes. If this is the gauge for being a ETH killer. There are a lot of good alternatives though, but it seems that investors are just on the safe side. Putting their money on the prime movers like ETH and let their money grow.

But I wouldn't say that ADA is a bad investment, it could give 10x or higher this next bull run, I speculate.
2386  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC bulls back? on: January 16, 2023, 11:05:53 PM
I was thinking BTC was going to be on a down hill mostly until near end of 2023. Do you believe this is a bull trap or true recovery for next bull is now here?

I would be interested to see what you people think and why.

:3

Hard to say, but if you look at previous history, after a worst year, like in 2018 we bounce back a bit in 2019 in preparation for the bitcoin block halving in 2020. So this might be the same scenario here, 2022 is one of the worst bear market, but maybe this 2023 we could see a recovery, not the bull run that we expecting, but at least a good $30k-$40k at the end of the year will not be that bad isn't it.

In any case though, either bull trap or true recovery, I will advise you to continue to accumulate, the price is still very cheap today. Save and stack sats as much as you can and then we will see what will be the price in the next bull run, it could be a conservative $100k or higher. And that will be a huge profit for us if we start to pile up BTC thru DCA or any strategy that works for you.
2387  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Errol Spence vs Keith Thurman on: January 16, 2023, 10:40:03 PM
Here's what I found when I was browsing Spence's request to the WBA to contest the fight at 154 pounds.

Quote
It’s highly unlikely Spence (28-0, 22 KOs) will bother come back down to 147 and get filleted by Boots & Crawford. Spence isn’t another General McArthur who once said, “I will return.”
Spence isn’t returning to 147 after he faces Thurman at 154 because there’s too much risk involved at welterweight, and he’s not about to want to deal with all the danger, especially if he’s drained.
Source

I think this is the most desperate move that I witnessed in the whole history of boxing industry. Errol Spence Jr. and Al Haymon was really too desperate to get themselves out of the welterweight just to maintain Spence's value and record. Also, the governing bodies shouldn't just agree with their request to make the Thurman-Spence fight at 154 lbs. because their image will be scathed as it looks to the public that they are eating their words that they said in the previous months.

quote author=Vaculin link=topic=5420331.msg61605581#msg61605581 date=1673894219]
If I were Thurman, I wouldn't take this fight because it's not what I wanted in the first place as there will be no belts on the line.

I think he (Thurman) can take the fight and give his own condition.  Reading the article is just confusing.  How could a mandatory title defense @ 147 lbs or welterweight division be done in 154 lbs or jr. middle weight division?  Isn't that ruling a joke?  It looks like Spence and his promoter is more influential and has more authority than the governing bodies.

I'm confused as well, if there's no belt involved, then we cannot call it a mandatory fight and Spence could say no if he wants to. Well, even if there's no belt involved, it will be okay for fans that are desperate to see some action as we will definitely see a real action of these two.

Yeah the current situation looks like a circus.  Because Spence doesn't want to give Thurman a chance to fight in a title match he moves the fight to 154 lbs, while the governing bodies order a mandatory title defense.  How ironic when the sports authority issue a mandatory title defense and the fight will be done on a different weight division,  doesn't that makes the governing bodies a joke?

And it boils down again how corrupt this governing bodies, issuing mandatory fights and yet they can't even imposed it to boxers with influential promoters such as Spence (PBC/Al Haymon).

I don't think though that Thurman can give his own condition in this fight though. He is the B-side here, they have the same promotion, so he will be under what conditions they set on him and even the purse split. And that goes to show how powerful Al Haymon is as a promoter as his influence to his boxers and governing bodies as if he has total control of them.

Sorry for the bantamweights who had been aiming to fight him and stain his perfect record.
They'll be happy that Inoue vacates the bantamweight, now the competition will be fair because Inoue is just too dominant, no boxer that had a close match with him, except for Donaire, but in the rematch, he proved that he is far more superior.

Now this will probably make the super bantamweight more exciting, I bet all the top boxers in that weight class are all in ecstasy to have a piece of him too.
I love watching this guy fight too, there's the entertainment factor and the unexpected so that you won't miss any round of the fight.
The big question: Can he really do it? Take all the belts in the upper division? I can't wait for his next fight.

There's only one way to determine if he can do it, that is to see him fight his closest rank or a champion if possible. What about Casimero? I believe they are on the same weight class now, there fight should happen soon, it will be very exciting to watch.

This is the reason why Donaire suddenly changed his course after knowing that Inoue will vacate all the belts once he climbs the next weight class, supposedly Donaire will go down at 115 pounds in super-flyweight division because he knows that he won't be holding any belts while Inoue is still in bantam weight but after knowing the fact, he is now maintaining the weight and I've heard that he's already scheduled to fight once WBO belt was vacated. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Facts, Donaire said that he wants to challenge the winner of Estrada vs Chocolatito at 115 lbs, and we all know that Estrada won that fight already. But Donaire is old and it might be dangerous for him going down to 115 lbs as this point in his career.

But since Inoue has officially left the 118 lbs, and now the body is looking for him and others to have a fight and sort of eliminator as who will get one of Inoue's belt then for sure Nonito will stay here again and try to make a second run with another championship on his belt. The field is open now but he will have the inside track. Him and Moloney for the WBC belt.
2389  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: January 16, 2023, 10:15:00 PM
I think Westbrook was trying to pass to corner on that last possession, it looks like the ball went to the hoop but if you look closely he was trying to pass it to the guy who was open at the corner, which would have been very tiny time left, maybe not even enough to shoot. In any case, when there is a very little time left, it's never reasonable to go inside because there is a bigger chance you could be closely guarded, it's better to take a shot.

Either way, the Lakers should call a timeout and nothing else. That was around 10 secs. left and lots of time to make a good play.

The Lakers are down by 1 and no one from the coaching staff even advises their players to call a timeout. They blew that opportunity and chances to win the game. I don't know why they thought that time and didn't decide to call a timeout.

I want the close game though that both teams managed to perform where there are lots of exchange of score leads happened.

Thanks, not that I have a bet on the Lakers to win ML, hehehe, but as a good as a coach as Ham is, he should call a timeout and design a good play as it is more than 10 seconds to go in the clock, just saying.

And I don't think it's a mismatch as well, Embiid is playing good defense on Russ, he fumbled already so that is a sign that he is pressure because of the defense. But he didn't want to pass the ball either and decided to take it to the hoop in hoping to either get a foul or a basket, but both failed.
2390  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ BOXING POLL ADDED ] The Unification Fight: FURY vs USYK on: January 16, 2023, 09:58:20 PM
So here's what Arum has to say as far as the venue and purse split goes, He said that he is waiting for the offer from Saudi Arabia investors to bring the fight to the Middle East, I'm sure this is the same set of investors that have been putting and bringing fights that involves Heavyweight matches in Saudi, so that is their first option. If there is no offer or if they deem the offer not acceptable then they second option is UK.

However, one stumbling block is the purse split, Usyk wants 50-50, but Arum insists that his boy Fury should get the lion share if the fight is going to be held in Wembley stadium as obviously this is Fury's home turf and will be the one bringing all the fans into the arena.

2391  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you handle your losses on: January 16, 2023, 09:39:46 PM
Not really sure for others, but for me, yeah, play with the money that you can afford to lose and that's is. If your bankroll is swept by the casinos then there's no need to deposit and chase that lost. And when I lost big, I just took a break from gambling and just take it easy for a day or two and just enjoy and have fun with your families and friends just to get rid of those negativity that you think because of your losses. And then it make me feel relax and so I don't have the emotions to get back again. As for the greedy friends, you should be in control and if your friends invited you for another session of gambling after your losses then you should learn how to say no, and admit to them that you just lost the previous days.

Wow, games is too early in my timezone and I missed majority of them. So going live betting now,

Warriors vs Wizards - 2nd half, Warriors on the lead, 64-69, I'll take them -6.5 @ still at juicy @2.05.

Knicks vs Raptors - 59-56, I'll go with New York Knicks at their home court, -3.5 @2.05.

Lakers vs Houston - time for Lakers to take that W at their homecourt, -4.5 @1.98.
2393  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Artur Beterbiev vs Anthony Yarde on: January 16, 2023, 09:13:01 PM
Here's what Yarde has to say about the fight, he wanted to go for a knock out:

Quote
"Fact. That is what I'm trying to say. I don't think it is to do with anyone but myself. I had a mindset when I started boxing and, the second I tried to change it or listen to people asking if I could go 12 rounds, I went away from what I knew.

"I know why the Kovalev fight didn't go my way, I know why the fight didn't go my way in the amateurs, I know why they gave the decision to Lyndon Arthur in the first fight.

"When all these things happened, it was when I went against my natural instinct and what I said I was going to do from the beginning.

https://www.boxingscene.com/yarde-looking-points-beterbiev-fight-he-wants-ko--171850

So meaning he want's to go 100% and look for a knockout in this fight. He doesn't want to go full 12 rounds because he knows he might get the short end of the deal again just like in his amateur fights and some on the professional ranks.

Let's see if he has want it takes to knockout the Russian here, no one has done it before though, just saying. So it will be very different for Yarde to do that unless he hurt Beterbiev very hard and then he goes for that knockout.
2394  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gervonta Davis vs Ryan Garcia on: January 16, 2023, 11:10:28 AM

What I don't like though is that those boxers who throw below the belt insults against each other, they shouldn't allow themselves to talk about someone's family or wife or kids. Lets the trash talking between this two fighters that's it. It could be personal attack like what Ryan said on Davis years ago, or Tank accusing Ryan or taking some drugs because he looks huge right now or talking about his mental health excuses. So shots have been fired in the media already, but in the end we will see who's mouth can back the talks when they face each other in April.

I understand that with this chatter boxers support the hype around the fight, maybe it's even part of their duties that managers require of them (I'm not sure about that), but I do not support this. For me, the inability of a person to keep his mouth shut is a sign of a small mind. If you are a real champion, then all that is required of you is to enter the ring and show your best, everything else is superfluous. Muhammad Ali, Tyson, Lewis each showed their strength in the ring, but none of them wasted their strength outside the ring on empty chatter.
Same with Pacquiao too, he’s not fond of talking shitty words against his opponents, or even touch the personal lives of his opponents, but only give his best shot when inside the ring to beat his match. Let the performance talks, not the mouth. That way, whether you win or lose at the end of the fight, at least you have not harm others from your own words.

I guess maybe it's about the era's as well, and now that we are in social media era, boxers like Ryan Garcia became superstar because of their social media presence, hehehe.

In any case, Ryan Garcia's promoter, issue a ultimatum on and says that he doesn't have any contract yet and they will proceed and move on if the camp of Tank Davis will not submit any by Monday. So there is still drama in this fight and we don't know if the fight is going to happen or not. So let's wait for the official announcement first.
2395  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price, January. $20000 or above possible? on: January 16, 2023, 10:42:45 AM
Well we did not have to wait long for your question to get answered now with the price of 1 Bitcoin is more than $21,000. Bitcoin now has $406 billion marketcap and is up more than 22% in this last week.
But we can not be so sure this is the end of the 'bear market'. All coins in the top 10 are showing beautiful green on their charts and I am keeping extra close eyes on this run. We must be careful and prepared for anything to happen in the following days.

Yes, as I have said previously, I only closely monitoring the price in a 24 hour basis. Earlier we have risen as high as $21,100++ and I thought this is the time that we could be sustaining our run.

Unfortunately, it falter again, this is the 3rd time that we have broken that $21k but it's doesn't have that push to maintain in even for 24 hours.

So now we are back to $20,800, still very strong though, and I'm still expecting that we will go back to $21k'ish as some point tomorrow.

That is huge amount mate, I remember we have like discussions about boxing, right?

But I do agree that we should have at least play on different casinos, same as land based casinos here, we have the big 3, and I don't have specific which one I prefer to play because each one is very different as far as their promotions and loyalty programs for their clients.

Maybe you can message them here as to why you are not given any bonus because I think we can consider you as whale with the way you wager in them?

Yes. I remember our boxing chats too Tongue

Unfortunately this is sportsbet.com not sportsbet.io (which is on this forum). I thought they were the same company up until a few weeks ago.

Oh, I thought it's the .IO crypto based gambling site that we have here in this forum. Yeah, they are totally different and no way related to each other.

I am most definitely a whale but I only gamble what I can afford to lose.

I don't understand why these companies can't be very generous to customers and offer the highest RTP to players. They would still make hundreds of millions of dollars in profits but they are greedy and want to suck every dollar out of you.

But that is still a big amount though mate, that's huge amount of money to gamble.

Same here, they should be as generous as they can be specially for a customer like you. Perhaps it's their lost though, as you have said, you might have been looking for other site or most likely have found it already so you stir away from this website because they are not taking care of  their VIP customers. And hopefully you can find one crypto based casino that will look after you in terms of bonus and giveaways.
2397  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tank Davis vs. Ryan Garcia betting and discussion (May, 2023) on: January 16, 2023, 09:56:40 AM
It appears that Tank vs. King Ry will end very much similar to Crawford vs. Spence. They avoid each other because they are afraid that losing would affect their attractiveness to promoters and lower their demanding price during contract negotiations. This is very bad for the fans and very bad for the sport of boxing. The best boxers should be fighting against the other best boxers. Boxing's only chance for the greatest superfights on 2023 might only be from Naoya Inoue.

I don't know if both are being really protected by their promoters, or the boxers themselves are afraid to have their 0 gone. We've seen a lot of great boxers, who lost their 0 and yet still the cash cow, for instance Canelo Alvarez or even Manny Pacquaio. I think still boils down to money and the purse split and which network are going to carry this fight.

On the flipside though, and we should also take this into consider, on the second week of February, Gervonta Davis will have to appear in court for his 14 misdemeanor motor vehicle violations 2 years ago. I think this will have a big effect whether this fight will push through or not in April as it will entail Davis to have jail time for a hit and run case.

I didn't parlay with the Lakers, but it could have been perfect for me if I also decided to take the plus side and not just the ML, like I did with OKC on it's games against the Nets.

Anyhow, I will take that win, Lol, they are the underdog. But you know how OKC is specially SGA and Josh Giddey as well as they load the Thunder with 28 points a piece. We didn't saw the Bulls winning against the Warriors as well, how can you stop Vucevic though? 42 points for the big guy.
2399  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: January 16, 2023, 07:42:05 AM
What a game between the Lakers and the Sixers, I thought that the Lakers is going to win the game because have a chance when Joel missed the shot and Russ got the rebound. Unfortunately, he went 1:1 fumble the ball and then force his shot with Joel in front of him.

I have a ML bet on the Lakers, was so close for a win because they are the underdog in this game.

Not sure why they didn't call a timeout, I think they still have 1 and with 14 seconds to go, they could have execute a better play to them in order to get that huge win.

Just to go and move on in the next decade or so, hopefully by that time, we might see it really getting into the mainstream, from Africa to Asia. And it is being used as it was designed, as a payment system. Although we can't fault others for using it as a investment platform, but it's better if it will be adopted first as payment or remittances. So just imagine sending payment across the globe with bitcoin instantly. As for the price, hmm, we all know that's going to happen in the next bull run, so see everyone in 2024/25.  Grin
