1661  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue - WBC and WBO 122 lbs bout - May on: March 12, 2023, 10:16:24 PM
Thank you, @Ziskinberg, for updating us on the schedule of the upcoming fight. Now that we have a confirmed date, we can mark our calendars and make sure not to miss it. While the betting odds may be in favor of Inoue, do any of you believe we will see a major upset?

2 pages back, @inthelongrun has posted the official date already, and the OP has acknowledge it but perhaps to just update the title of the thread.

As far as upsets, Fulton is the champion and a live dog, so it's possible, but it's unlikely to happen because of what we have seen on Inoue in his last couple of fights in 118 lbs. He just tear up that division, knockout Donaire and then gets the last of the belt against Butler with another knockout win as well. This might be a new division for him, but it just just 4 lbs of his last weight class so we don't see any problem and on the contrary, it might help him a lot because he doesn't have to weight drain himself trying to make the weight. And it will be in his native Japan, so Fulton will have to travel and put his belt on the line against the Monster, which could be a difficult task.

And so far the odds are per Stake:

1662  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: March 12, 2023, 10:06:05 PM
It's over now, the Nuggets still on the losing skid, they just lost to the Brooklyn Nets. But it was a good game as they comeback from a 11 deficit in the 4th quarter and just lost by 2 points. Jokic has the chance to take the lead, but he was double team. And then they foul and sent Bridges to the line with 1.8 seconds like, making 1 out 2. And in the final seconds, Jokic has again had the ball in his hands, but it was a bad shot in my opinion. They are still seeded number 1 in the West and slim chance to lost that seeding. However, they need to start to win again. This lost is big because it's in their homecourt. They will have to travel to Toronto for their next game.
1663  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: March 12, 2023, 09:51:23 PM
Nevertheless, what's funny about it is that their are already weight class, I mean a predetermined weight that this fighters are going to box. So it this is supposedly 135 lbs, they agree to 136 lbs, but then have rehydration clause? I think it defeat the purpose of having this weight category another when there is a cap.
Yeah, and that's why after reading the details I was kind of intrigued because honestly, this is really the first time I saw a clause like that. I guess we will just have to witness it before Ryan Garcia steps on the ring if there will be a weighing scale before he enters.  Grin
It's almost like a punishment for a big boxer trying to cut weight for the weigh-ins and then avoiding rehydration just so he can still be in the range where the opponent requested it before the fight.
Now I know why the Tank's camp is avoiding Garcia for a long time. They are pondering what clause they will add to avoid losing the belt.
I think Ryan will have a big problem here if the fight will be long considering that clause.

It's part of boxing culture already, because a boxer can rehydrate and be big in the fight night itself, gain like 10-15 lbs or over 20 lbs is possible for this guys. I heard from Calvin Ford, Davis trainer, that they want the fight in 135 lbs, and Ryan's camp wanted 136 lbs. So they gave in to their demands but there will be a rehydration clause of 10 lbs for Ryan. So both trying to make their weight very easy for them, as Ryan say's it's a go and he has no problem with that. So in this case two weigh-in, before and after the fight to make sure that what is stipulated in the contract will be followed by both camps. We haven't heard about the gloves and the size of the ring and other stipulation.
1664  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A remark on casino bonuses on: March 12, 2023, 09:39:45 PM
The problem with these promotions is that you need to achieve specific goals, like betting a certain amount to get qualified, which means sometimes you need to spend more money.
Yeah, no matter what platform we choose, whether we play at a very popular casino or a new one, whether we choose an online platform or a land based, we must remember one thing, there is nothing like free money in gambling.

Yes, that's the obvious though, even in land base casino's you will see a lot of promotions and it's really very attractive because the prizes are so big. But then when you go in and read the T&C there are a lot that you need to fulfill in order to quality so it means you have to spend a lot of money as well just to be able to be on that promotions.

Bonuses are only given so that you make deposits and play on the casino, and casinos know that those that start playing won't easily stop and the house-edge will make the house win at the end. So any kind of a promo or a bonus a casino offers, they will surely have some requirements for it, and mostly it's a wagering or deposit limit. If you can't fulfill that, there is no bonus for you, simple as that.

So it's just better to play and not thinking of that bonuses or promotions in the beginning because if you do, you can't really stop and the more you want to hit that so called bonuses the likely that you will lose more money in the end because of those house edges. Play and have fun, if you hit the requirements then good.

And in the end, it's important to read that T&C too, so that there will be no surprises on your end.
1665  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tank Davis vs. Ryan Garcia betting and discussion (May, 2023) on: March 12, 2023, 09:26:49 PM
And so as expected, the tickets have been sold-out. Anyone though was surprised to see Leonard Ellerbe on the background? The guy with that white beard, he is Floyd's CEO and we all know that Davis didn't renew his contract with Floyd. But according to the news, he will be training at Floyd's gym in Las Vegas, so I guess everything is really cool between the two camps despite Davis no longer under Floyd. And I think it is a advantage for Tank, at least he has someone more experience behind him. And who knows, Floyd might drop to his own gym and still mentor Tank because this is the biggest fight of his career, both of them including Ryan. Goosen's training gym is in LA, so most likely Ryan will train there as he is from California.
1666  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Too harsh on user? on: March 12, 2023, 09:16:30 PM
Is it right to call a gambling platform a scam for confiscating users account with the deposited balance because you use more than one SIM card to access the platform? The SIM cards aren't from same network provider, so their IP addresses are different from one another.

This happened to someone I know very well, but I found this to be too cruel,  different IPs on the same device shouldn't cause this ban, what do you think?

There are some gambling platforms that pray that users make this mistake and use the opportunity to sit down on their money.

This is close to borderline scam in my opinion,

1. if the user uses different SIM, then obviously will be from a different IP address
2. so if regardless it is from the same mobile phone, it shouldn't be tag
3. OS of mobile phones could also be the same as well as millions of other phone users around the world

Not sure if there are gambling platforms though that somewhat want the users to make the same mistake. Only reputable platforms will do everything to really check the veracity of the users before calling their account and flagging it down.
1667  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will Gambling Legalization Reduce Gambling Rings? on: March 12, 2023, 09:05:28 PM
I don't think it will completely stop gambling rings, for this illegal operators, it's part of their life, it's business, it's where they go and make money. So regardless if their government will legalized gambling, they are going to continue with it. And there are gamblers that can't completely to to legal sport bookies, maybe it's very far from them, they are not that confident to go, they just have small amounts to bet and so they are somewhat "shy" about it etc, etc. So there are a lot of reasons why individuals are still going to patronized illegal gambling rings. And as far as I know, like here in our country, we have this kind of illegal lottery, and what this group to is to target individuals but going to the gamblers house, so it is very convenience for them to bet and if they won, their money is going to be delivered too without any hassle on their part. And then the middleman will have some sort of cuts from that winnings.
1668  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Is for the strong. on: March 12, 2023, 08:55:13 PM
With this, I wondered if other person's here in the forum that are into gambling too has at any point in time thought or felt that way, particularly when the losses are becoming overwhelming. And in that case, should such person stop gambling and rather divert such monies into something else since he/she ain't making corresponding wins or more, checking his bet history, Or he should carry on with hopes that winnings will start creeping in someday gradually?

Not just in this community, I think majority of the gamblers around have some kind of thoughts about their losses and the 'what if' scenario. And I guess everyone losses that we have, it will just crossed our minds. But it's always late and those are regrets and we can't go back and get our money back. So it will always be that question that are going to crossed our minds. So as gamblers, we have to fight it mentally, if you can't then you should stop gambling because it might really hit a toll on you. Or everyday after a big losses, you go to sleep but still thinks of the money that you have lost that night. And then if you are already ok then you can go back to your gambling activities again.
1669  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: March 12, 2023, 01:32:26 PM
Can't wait to watch tonight's golden state and bucks game, should be a good one on prime time tv, they should all be up for this one.
It was a great game that ended in overtime as both teams are really answering back and forth on the both ends of the floor.
Brook Lopez with a dazzling display of his defense acquired 5 blocks. But Kevon Looney won't just stay silent claiming 5 steals. Big guys doing their work and without a doubt, they play important key roles on their respective teams.
Steph Curry shined once again. Started the game with mostly perimeters and attacking the paint but ended with crucial 3-point shots and proving the reasons why he is still the dangerous player behind the arc.
GSW won.

In the end it was all Steph Curry and Klay Thompson, they are down in the 4th and thought that the Bucks are going to steal on at their homecourt. But Curry doesn't want to lose, hit back to back 3's and then the tie.

And in the OT, both of them hitting crucial shots. But for me it's their overall defense, Donte was really a good acquisition for them. But they really need Wiggins to play. Iggy try to step up, but I guess his age is the limiting factor.

Nice win by the Warriors! They finally broke their losing streak, but it was a hard-fought game for them. Even without their best player, the Bucks were not an easy team for the Warriors to beat. The Warriors need to improve if they want to become back-to-back champions.

Once again, Poole's production has dropped significantly. I don't know if this will help them much. I understand that Curry and Thompson are the usual scorers of this team, but seeing Poole's low production sometimes disappoints me.

Yeah, it's really not good to see Poole's performance drop a bit, but it's understandable as he is the 3rd man and so he received not much passes in game after Curry returns. But at least they have found a way to win against the Bucks and their home court, and that's what we say with the Warriors is that when they are at home, very hard to beat them.

Donte step up and contributed with his 3's. But Curry and Klay was the one who keep this alive against the Bucks in OT and it was over when both of them played that well in the extra 5 minutes.
1670  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Street Gambling Risk on: March 12, 2023, 01:16:36 PM
That's why it's called street games, it's either you know the rules of the street or not. If not then you might be at a disadvantage as you might be the victim just like what the OP has describe. So before you place a bet or gamble you should not the risk involved and also the players and the people surrounding you in a street game. Played a lot of street games in my youth, but I will say that I was never a victim because I never play alone, I mean I have my friends who cover my back as well just in case, you know, some individuals don't accept that you beat them in whatever game they want. Even playing basketball with money involved is very tense here.
1671  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Tony Harrison vs Tim Tszyu - Mar 13, 2023 on: March 12, 2023, 01:03:43 PM
By the odds though, it seems that Tim Tszyu is going to win this fight. But I was surprised on how Tim was really in this fight, I mean yes early on it was a close fight but he slowly gain the momentum and even fight the fight of Harrison, in the inside and he was hit with that job but we have able to overcome it. So it's a A+ performance for him in front of his fans in his home turf. And with this, it's a good tune up fight for him. And the numbers don't like as he hit Harrison with 45% of his power punches, the score on the judges though at the time of stoppage in round 9, Tim leads all the judges 77-75. And he clearly sends his message to Charlo in this win.

1672  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: March 12, 2023, 12:31:32 PM
Congrats as well to those who make it big tonight, I was out of the scene for at least 2 days, Lol, so personal stuff.

Anyhow, it's good to see the Warriors on the winning form, but it was not very easy to win against the Bucks as they have to make it come from behind in OT. And now the Suns feeling the pressure of now having KD on the lineup, as they lost to a tough Sacramento Kings.

Knicks though on a losing streak, not good after having a good run.

And it seems the date has been moved again to April 6, 2023 Japan time.

    https://www.mtgox.com/img/pdf/20230309_announcement_en.pdf

So I guess we need to wait for next month then, this has been dragging for years now, and obviously if this is moved to April, it has nothing to do with the price on the decline that we are experiencing in the last couple of days $20,200++.

@adaseb - you are right, as the March date is pushed, the new repayment date is Oct 31,2023 (From Sept 30, 2023).

Thank you guys for the replies and guidance,  would it be possible for someone to PM a trusted contact who is selling BTC if you know of one?  I'm embarrassed and feel like a charity case but I'm running out of time to get out from under the debt I'm in.

Maybe you can explore this board, Currency exchange. But still though, you need to do some diligence when dealing with anyone in this community.

I don't have experienced with DNM and definitely will not go and try my "luck" buying and doing trades on Darknet.
1676  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue - WBC and WBO 122 lbs bout - May on: March 09, 2023, 11:27:43 PM
But some people didn't see it that way because for them, Inoue is taking a shortcut because he is now fighting Fulton directly on his debut at super-bantamweight when it is indeed normal already as it's not Inoue who did it first. Besides, he is favored by the governing bodies because of what he achieved at bantamweight, now he is just taking advantage of it.

Don't know why other people say that Naoya Inoue takes a shortcut when it's obvious that no one from lower rankings in the Super Bantamweight can match Inoue.

Isn't the fact that Inoue is unbeatable at the bantamweight division and no one from there can even come close to his level, is not enough to convince those people that he is already qualified to face a champion at the Super Bantamweight which is a much better fight to see than organizing a debut fight for him against a considered not even contender.

I want to ask those people who considered Naoya Inoue as taking a shortcut, aside from facing WBC and WBO champion Stephen Fulton and WBA and IBF champion Murodjon Akhmadaliev, who else in the Super Bantamweight is a good match for Naoya Inoue that is worthy to watch and make sense to organize?
We will see that, if Inoue is beaten in this weight class then most higher-seeds boxers in the super bantamweight division will want a piece of him. They will try, obviously. But I doubt, he will be beaten that far if ever it happens. The weight is not that far and I bet his chin is sturdy enough to take them.

This is really going to be a huge test on Inoue's side, even if he win this one, but if the fight is competitive enough then maybe we will see Inoue getting soften because of Fulton. And just maybe in the next fight it will be a very different Inoue that we are going to see, perhaps because of that previous fight, it might affect his attitude.

Regarding the shortcut, no, I don't think so too. There's not enough competition in his former weight class anymore and he had all the belts so I guess that's living proof of it. What will he do there? Get old and be beaten someday? Whoever said he did cut corners, that's just foolish.
I like how wise his camp is, keep on moving forward, that should be the goal. Break records.

I think it's because of his first fight, it is already for the championship belt, maybe it's being the benefit of being the unified champion in his previous divisions that the governing body is pushing him for another title fight even if it is in new division. Nothing is unusual here, that's what the major bodies have been doing for decades now. And it's a win-win for them, so it just make sense.

Of course, both are enjoying their public workouts, there are fans out there to watch so it's good to see that. And this is so far the biggest test for Tim Tszyu and we really see how good he is, or just pure hype if ever Harrison pulls an upset.

Now the Lakers are in the play-in tournament and we never expected this one to happen in their last games with Westbrook as soon as they released him, they managed to play well even without Lebron. AD is doing well these past few games and they are coming to get that number 6 slot if they continue to win in their next games as well. They can really do well even when they are only a few stars on the court and seems like AD is finding his right rhythm while playing today even though he injured his nose but he continues to dominate the game.

Honestly, I didn't expect the Lakers to win anything during LeBron's absence, but now they have 7 wins in their last 10 games, and that's surprising. Maybe it's just a coincidence, but they've been doing really well since getting rid of Westbrook. However, it's too early for them to relax because there are 16 more games left until the end of the regular season, and they're not even guaranteed a Play-in Tournament or Playoff spot yet.

Yes, there's no need for them to cut some slack because they are still in a dangerous spot and a loss can definitely make their standings change again as they are still tied with the Pelicans, then there's the Thunder below them and ready to get their places if they will make some mistakes in their upcoming games.

But I think the Lakers can somehow manage their next five games, D'Lo might be back again on the hardwood this Friday to help the Lakers face the Toronto Raptors. No James, no problem as long as the remaining roster is healthy, they already proved that and will do it again.

True, they will have to build that momentum moving forward just like any teams right now. Sure there were reports that there are guranteed for a play-in, but it doesn't mean they need to be slacking again. They will have to win every games still with or without Lebron James. They had a good games, winning back to back and it's too early to conclude, but I must say that Rob Pelinka did a good job getting this role players to help AD and Lebron. It's just the question whether it's enough for them this season, salvage a playoff run or even contend for the NBA championship, but that is far stretch in my opinion.

He is on the list, number 33 in rankings with:

    33   Conor McGregor   $615M   $530M

    https://www.sportico.com/feature/highest-paid-athletes-all-time-1234711562/

So that is huge money for him throughout his career in UFC

For Canelo, no doubt, he did sign a massive contract when he severe his ties with Golden Boy and move to DAZN and it's like $300m if I'm not mistaken, and will have like 5 more fights in his career. And Floyd keeps making money with this exhibition matches in the last 3 years or so.

Those digits are not from UFC alone because he did have a nice big payday when he agreed to fight with Floyd Mayweather Jr. in a boxing fight, which I bet was his biggest payday in his entire career up to this point.
Although that certain fight was ruled as professional fight, McGregor cannot really defeat someone like Mayweather because UFC is very much different in boxing and the same thing will happen to Mayweather if he will face McGregor in the octagon.
About Mayweather Jr. though, the man will always be in the list and will always be included in the Top 10 as long as he will still have his exhibition fights.

That's a big payday for him and for sure until now he still enjoying that huge amount of paycheck after the exhibition match against Mayweather, though it surely place or being recognized as pro boxing event even it's only an exhibition but in terms of the amount that's very decent and even he will fight long inside UFC he won't earn that.

Speaking about Mayweather, we know the "Money" he will always be included as long as there are exhibition match that will be negotiated. He will make money in each fight that he will take.

Yeah, Floyd really uses his God given talent to make a lot of money out of boxing, fights like against Oscar Dela Hoya, Manny Pacquiao and Conor McGregor really put him way above any boxers in our generations with more than $1 Billion already.

Manny Pacquiao too, one of the biggest cash cows in his prime, make tons of money and if you are going to convert it to PH Peso, it's billion already, so one of the riches person in our country.

And in boxing news, GGG vacated his  WBA Middleweight Title

    Quote
“Mr. Golovkin has requested that I contact you in order to communicate his intentions moving forward,” John Hornewer, attorney for Golovkin and GGG Promotions informed the WBA via official letter, a copy of which was obtained by BoxingScene.com. “Gennadiy Golovkin is proud to have reigned as the WBA Super Champion and to have unified the Middleweight titles in Japan against Ryoto Murata last year. Gennadiy thanks the WBA for its support during that process and during his career.

    https://www.boxingscene.com/gennadiy-golovkin-relinquishes-wba-middleweight-title-erislandy-lara-upgraded-full-titlist--172992

So GGG doesn't have any titles, as he also relinquishes his IBF belt.

And this open up a lot of speculations. Maybe he is going to retire for good, or go one last fight at 168 lbs?

^^ Best of luck on that wonderful parlay.

Last night though my parlay was destroyed when the Knicks lost their game as they are a huge favorite against the Hornets.  Sad.

But for tonight, I will do another parlay as well with Nuggets -6.5 + Hawks -1.5 + Dallas ML at 4.98.

A quite crazy night for bettors, only Atlanta Hawks were able to cover the -1.5 spread, Dallas Mavericks lost the game to Pelicans although, Luka Doncic had to exit the game midway with what seemed like a thigh injury, I hope it doesn't he's not out for too long because the Dallas Mavericks needs every help they can get right now.

in Denver it was very close bucket for bucket game, until about midway into the 3rd Quarter, in-form Zach Lavine and Nikola Vucevic were highly instrumental for the Chicago Bull winning the game as +7 points underdog.
    Crazy and bad.
First, Jokic went crazy at trying to be Steph Curry, and then an off night for Jamal Murray.
On the Mavs' side, Luka Doncic exits with an injured thigh, reports say it may not be a good one. Let's just wish it's not a torn ligament or something like that. It would be bad for their team aiming for the playoffs.

    Results:
Washington Wizards - Atlanta Hawks - Atlanta Hawks (-4.5) - Loss. Hawks did not cover, Wizards made a run at the last minutes of the game. IIRC, the highest lead was 6 but didn't go further.
Miami Heat - Cleveland Cavaliers - Cleveland Cavaliers (-3.5) - Won! Wow! The spread covered just exactly what I needed. Cavs won by 4 points.
New Orleans Pelicans - Dallas Mavericks - Dallas Mavericks (-3.5) - Loss.
Denver Nuggets - Chicago Bulls - Denver Nuggets (-8.5) - Loss. Even my Over 227.5 did not cover. The lowest was Over 223.5 when I checked it yesterday, even if I picked that, it won't hit either. The offensive power of the Nuggets was not seen in this game tonight. Perhaps, they need rest.

Yeah, probably it's the worst game that I have seen with the Nuggets, And I will say that it is totally unexpected, but that's basketball for us. Same with the Dallas lost, Luka limps, get out of the court but then the Mavs close the game and I thought that they have a good chance to win the game because they are hitting their outside shots and they still have Irving really pushing the ball and penetrating. But then CJ, oh man, he was unstoppable, 2 three points and a good jumpshot is enough to stop Dallas in their tracks.

So try my luck with the Bucks vs Nets, - Milwaukee -9.5 @1.95.

And then Golden State vs Memphis - still no Ja Morant -3.5 @2.02.
