1621  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: March 16, 2023, 10:14:18 PM
Lakers having a rough start against Houston, and there's no Davis, so it seems that the field is even although the Lakers should have the experience in this game. But so far the young Houston team are dictating the game, with a huge lead in the first quarter.

Lakers need this one pretty much, and if they lost to a low team like Houston, it will hurt their momentum.

D'Lo and Malik doesn't have the same start as their last game wherein they just blasted with a 14-0 run start in the first quarter.

That indeed hurt their PCT because even if there's no Lebron and AD on the line-up, it's a winnable game on their side because it's just the Houston Rockets, a tanking team. And the Lakers lost against that kind of team? Pretty sure that the Lakers management is not happy with the outcome and likely embarrassed because D'Lo or even Schroder is expected to take over the game but in reality, it was Austin Reaves who led the team.

Yes, even gamblers was disappointed with that Lakers lost, I mean it's a tanking team and it's really a winnable game for them. But they show up empty in the first quarter, bad shooting from D'Lo and Malik as this could have been a easy W for them. But instead a very flat Lakers shows, giving the young Houston any resistance at all. And even if Austin put up a good game, others didn't step up, they are just standing there, no effort to get that rebounds as they allow the Rockets to score and grab rebounds very easy specially in the first half. Now they are down to 10th place and again, another must win in their next match.
1622  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Referral bonuses are waste of time on: March 16, 2023, 10:04:22 PM
In my opinion, I think referral bonuses are typically waste of one's time because of its processes that seems so impossible to claim and recently I came across a thread
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5437603.0 seeking for Casinos with paid referral bonuses and I tool out time to read most of the responses there and they all seem impossible to claim referral bonuses.
I wish to know if anyone has successfully claimed referral bonuses and how easy was the process and what Casino did you claim those bonuses

Maybe, but it could depend on the casino that you are promoting and maybe it's really on your account and it's credentials. Of course, you can bring any players, but perhaps the casino's are going to look whether the players that you are bringing to their platform are legit or not and it might take sometime for you to be paid. One thing I've learned though when I try to be an affiliate or use referral, is that you have to be a certain authority on the project that you want to promote, so what I'm saying that you have to established your name first and then have a circle of your own. So not going to be easy and it's not for everyone.
1623  Economy / Speculation / Re: Maybe it's time for BTC to take off and reach the $100K on: March 16, 2023, 09:54:24 PM
All this wait, same price for months, sounds like the calm before the storm. Maybe it's time for BTC to take off and reach the $100K. Just saying. This price is a joke for BTC's potential. Of course all we can do is hope. But it makes me wonder why it's not happening yet. Right now BTC is cheap as peanuts. Luckily 1 BTC = 1 BTC.

It's because we are still in the bear market mate, I know you are extremely bullish on bitcoin and still not selling at this point. However, for sure you know that that catalyst for it to reach minimum $100k is the block halving. And it is like more than a year from today, so again, we need to be mentally strong to stay in the game and wait for it to happen. Maybe people are still afraid of what is going around the world right now that's why they are not buying, or as we have seen in the past, people buy when they FOMO, which is not a good decision. But for those who are smart and have the experience of several bulls and bears cycle, maybe they have filled their wallets which cheap BTC, when it hits like $15,500 (lowest low).

1625  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Errol Spence vs Keith Thurman on: March 15, 2023, 11:32:47 PM
We should set aside Erickson Lubin's challenge for now, and focus on making this fight happen first to see what the outcome will be. It's a big fight, and Thurman is definitely facing the biggest challenge of his career (after Pacman). If he loses here, it will be his second loss and it won't bode well for his career. Therefore, I expect him to be very well-prepared, as we all know how formidable Spence is in the ring.

Everyone is going to call Spence, and who is Erickson Lubin by the way? he hasn't make any names for himself and I doubt that he will be given the chance to be the next one to face either fighter.

Erickson Lubin is just an ordinary boxer in super-welter who is just trying to make himself relevant and surely he cannot have any chance to face Spence or Charlo at 154 as both champions already have boxers in line that have the mandatory belt. Lubin's last fight was against the young and undefeated Sebastian Fundora who currently possess the WBC Interim belt at 154, so unlike Lubin, this Fundora have the chance to take a bite at Charlo's belt.

Forget about that man Grin There's a lot of good boxers around 147 and 154 who truly got some skills and is still undefeated up until now. They are just waiting for a mandatory fights.

Hehehe, yeah I do agree, he hasn't fought anyone that he deserves even to be mentioned in a sentence with this 147 lbs.  Grin. We still have Tim Tszyu as well next in line for Charlo's belt, and maybe both Spence are going to move up in 154 lbs or even Crawford himself.

But still there are still a lot of good 147 lbs even if they move up in weight class.

For Spence, yeah that photo surfaces about a month ago but so far we haven't heard if he is going to sign with Oscar just to get that one fight that we all wanted to see, Spence vs Crawford.
1626  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Project's Price after got exploited on: March 15, 2023, 11:10:14 PM
As others have said, it's hard to see where the price is going to be after the exploited because:

1. what are the chances that it will not happen again?
2. will the investors return their confidence in this project?

So as a investors it's very difficult decision to make right now, so it might take some time to see whether it can bounce back or be hurt by this exploit and never goes back to where it was before.
1627  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: $4 billion lost in total from DeFi Exploits so far. Guesses for 2023? on: March 15, 2023, 11:02:37 PM
The reason they get hacked is because its new technology and full of bugs. Hence why there is usually a "bug bounty" for many projects where the hacker can just legally get paid for his "bug finding" rather than exploit the bug and take 100% of the assets.

Hence why you shouldn't keep large amounts on anything Defi related. Keep it cold storage and when you want to actually trade, then send the funds and when you are done send them right back. Keep everything in Ethereum COLD storage.

DeFi is not just limited to trading our funds in a decentralised manner but its major aspects are staking where traders lock enough assets due to great to average returns being provided according to the ratio of least to highest TVL (Total value locked) in it. Let's think for a moment that you have staked your funds on Binance Dex and it gets hacked, was it your mistake? I guess no, and the funds gone will only be recovered either if the hacker agrees to send them back or is spotted/caught by police.

Maybe his point is that we shouldn't blatantly trust our money to his whole Defi as there are a lot of loopholes that cyber criminals are going to exploit over and over again. So still there is some mistakes if you believed that your funds are going to be safe with them.

And even if there are bug bounty or even 3rd party who look at the code and says it's good to go, sooner or later those hackers are going to find something in that code as they are one step of the game. So there is also risk, a very high risk that everyone should know. And if they are comfortable with it, then by all means invest and locked your funds and hopefully you will get a good returns after the lock in period.
1628  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: March 15, 2023, 10:48:38 PM
Ok so Beterbiev vs Callum Smith has been ordered by the WBC next, although it's going to be a short 3 weeks negotiation as the ordered is up to April 11. If there are no contract between the two sides, then it will go on a purse bid.

So definitely we will see Beterbiev fight this year again. But we have to wait for it and it is obviously not Bivol which is the fighter that we wanted to see and for the unification of the belt. But Callum Smith might be a good opponent for him. We all know that he had a good title run, until he lost to Saul Alvarez and then he decided to move up to 175 and now has another crack for the belt against Beterbiev.

1629  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: March 15, 2023, 10:34:22 PM
Another bad night for me, I thought that the Nuggets can get over the hump, but in the first quarter alone, they've lost the game when the Raptors beat a huge lead and almost scored 50 points already. So I just stop watching the game, hehehe. There's something wrong with their offense specially in the first quarter as the games that they have lost, they have problems in the 1st quarter alone. And if the teams build a commanding lead and they score 30 points or less, chances are they are going to lose that game.

So tonight, I have Sixers -1.5 against the Cavs and Boston -3.5 against the Wolves, Lakers -1.5 against the Rockets.
1630  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo Alvarez vs John Ryder - May 6th in Mexico on: March 15, 2023, 10:25:56 PM
Not that surprising because we have already heard this man's name even before Canelo Alvarez underwent to a much needed surgery because his wrist has been in pain since the Canelo-GGG III fight. I'm just glad that this fight is now a done deal because people are waiting for Canelo's return as he have a lot of boxer now queued to fight him afterwards, Canelo may put his belt on the line on this one but let's not forget that this is just a tune-up fight.

Yeah, hehehe, we have been discussing his name on the other thread, it's just this makes it's official now that Canelo will have a 'tune-up' fight against Ryder. He needs to put his belt on the line here, and it's going to be a homecoming fight for Canelo in Mexico. For sure, the fans are still going to buy the tickets even if he is facing lesser known opposition.

Good payday for Ryder though, for the face-off, here is the video below:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bw9y1vI6zuI

Fighting on "Cinco De Mayo" has been a tradition now for Canelo Alvarez and with him coming from hand surgery (which i'm not aware of), i think this is just the way to go, a tune-up fight for him in front of his hometown fans. I'm not expecting an upset here since we all know that Canelo is very serious in his training camp whoever it is that he will be facing.

I just hope that after this one, he will pursue his rematch with Bivol or a fight with Benavidez hehe.

He is the new Oscar, as I have remembered the Dela Hoya used to own this dates because of his Mexican Heritage.

But I can't remember if Oscar did fight in Mexico though, so this could be the difference and we are going to see how big Canelo is in his native country. I don't know how big Akron Stadium is, but for sure Canelo can fill that up.

As for Ryder, well, we will see if he deserves this spot or just another tune up for Alvarez.
Akron Stadium can hold almost thrice as much people compared to the MGM Grand Arena where its capacity is only below 20,000 while Akron can do 48,000.

So seeing those figures, we can somehow say that it's indeed much bigger than any arena's in Las Vegas, Nevada like Allegiant or T-Mobile as it can cater more guests especially Canelo's own supporters and countrymen. And considering the population of boxing fans in Mexico, I think 48,000 seating capacity is just enough to be considered full because aside from Mexicans, there are other people as well across the globe who will be glad to watch Canelo live again.

Quote
As for Ryder, well, we will see if he deserves this spot or just another tune up for Alvarez.
We'll see if Ryder deserves it but I strongly believes that it's the other way around because Canelo is not yet done.

Nothing compared though when Julio Cezar Chavez fought at Estadio Azteca against Greg Haugen, a record 136,274 fans attended. And so for Canelo to fill that stadium in Mexico is already huge and yes, it will show his drawing power as he wanted to stage his fight in Mexico for many years. We don't know if we are going to believed him, but he says that he opted to fight in Mexico for lesser money and against Ryder.

For Ryder, he has been in a 3-4 fight winning streak and has been rated and has held the WBO interim super middleweight title in which Canelo is the regular champion. So we can justify that he indeed deserved a crack at Canelo. But definitely a huge underdog in this fight.
1631  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Shakur Stevenson vs Shuichiro Yoshino April 8 on: March 15, 2023, 10:10:17 PM
[snip]
It could be, Shakur's ratio might be 47% and got a much lower ratio than the Japanese but I cannot really include that as basis because the latter is more of a local boxer to me because all of his fight are being held inside Japan, hence why most of his title are labeled as Asia Pacific. I'm more inclined that there's a good reason why Shakur's camp chose Yoshino and that is to highlight his debut.
It could be the right ratio --perhaps that is true that Shuichiro Yoshino may have a higher win ratio than Shakur Stevenson, but sometimes we give to consider the level of competition each boxer has faced. But we should not be comfortable with that --Shakur Stevenson has already established himself as a world-class boxer, having won a silver medal at the 2016 Olympics and held the WBO featherweight title and I think it is also a great consideration for him.

Exactly, it's the level of opposition too, that we need to look at and not just the record per se. So maybe Yoshino has more fights and high knockout ratio, but it doesn't mean that he is the better of the two.

Still boils down on who this fighter has, on the other hand, just the last 3 fighters that Shakur face might not be enough for the whole resume of the Japanese to match, just saying. So that alone shows how both fighters are very different, and it is reflected on the odds itself.

In terms of quickness and ring IQ, those belong to Stevenson. So even though Yoshino is a KO artist, I don't think he will be able to hit Stevenson with solid shots. That's a lot to ask for him, and since he isn't a popular boxer, I don't expect he will make it. This fight will most likely result in an additional win for Stevenson and an easy one at that.

As for the betting odds, Shakur is 1.08 to win.

https://www.aceodds.com/bet-calculator/odds-converter.html

1.08 is such a nay!
But you only need to put in a really huge amount as it seems a safe bet unless Yoshino suddenly strikes a lucky lunch putting Shakur to sleep and there goes your money. Not very attractive odds but it's also obvious Yoshi is not popular internationally and with limited exposure. Why there were even matched to fight is surprising.

Yes, that is a big nah for us boxing bettors, it's not worth a risk to bet with that kind of odds, I have showed a few pages back what other betting options. But a ML like for Shakur has no value, we might as better just wait for other boxing events to where we gonna put our money with.

And speaking of Shakur here is a video wherein him and Haney run into each other on Top Rank's boxing gym.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AQcZd3pTZlc

It's a bit funny, but who knows, maybe in the future, this two are going to fight in out for the belt as Shakur is going up to 135 lbs.
1632  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: March 15, 2023, 09:58:32 PM
So, Bucks swept Suns in regular season and became the first team to reach 50 wins. Suns actually was in the game until the last five minutes but Bucks played ending better, as usual.
Giannis' domination, Brook Lopez's paint superiority is impressive. Ingles and Crowder's bench contribution is important. Jrue Holiday was cold behind the three but made some important points in last minutes. Even without Middleton, Allen and Dragic they are good. Bucks lost only 2 games in last 2 months. It looks like they don't give up first place in the East.

Right, I thought that the Suns might pull some upset win as they try to fight and make a comeback in the 4th, even taking a 3 point lead with 10 minutes to go. Booker is hot, but when they inserted Ayton and that 2 crucial misses of him, very easy shot, the Bucks took their chances and score quick 4 points and that's it. The Suns was not able to recover from that and the Bucks steadily increase their lead with Giannis having a mismatch, same with Brook Lopez inside the paint. And they solidify their number 1 position in the NBA right now with their 50 games win this season.

For Ja, Powerade has pulled its ads featuring him, but we are not sure if Coca-Cola has severed their tie with Morant. Maybe they just have to pull it out right now because of the controversy surrounding him.
1633  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Street Gambling Risk on: March 14, 2023, 11:56:00 PM
Here is one sample in our country about this kind of street games, chess, but it's definitely a scam and worst

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hpf7Vb0z7Xc

So it's a chess gang, the people behind who bet are part of the scam itself. And it will encourage that one people to beat big money and even tell the player on what move is the best. But definitely it's not and at the end you are going to lose to this scammers. Or if the gang see that you are winning, then that's where the scary part is because they won't simply allow that to happen as they are going to surround you to get your belongings, demands money for you.
1634  Economy / Speculation / Re: 26k mark finally breached on: March 14, 2023, 11:46:19 PM
Bitcoin finally climbs 26k and it's definitely looking more like a bullish trend now as many new investors were worried from it massive drop from its 25k to around 19k in the month of March. For me am definitely praying for the price to drop more so I can buy as much bitcoin as I can but the dip always scares some investors but I say the dip is a good sign for me make more from the market as buying low and hodling till the prices go up is definitely more yielding.

What's your pick on this. Will March bring more great feats or a massive dip will be experienced after this pump.

I think it's great to see the price reaching $26k, but it's too early to celebrate, because as quickly as we go to that price, we are not going back below $25k. So for me, the big resistance is still in front of us, we need to really maintain that $25k level to really make a break out run this March.

Otherwise, all the hardwork that the bulls did will be nothing. So again, let's wait, still in the middle of this month and there are a lot of things that can happen. We don't look ahead of like $30k or more, the big test is $25k and so far we are still way below it. But in any case, you need to wait for the price to go low this month, your chances to stock pile might have gone already, as we might be around $22k as the lowest support in my opinion.
1635  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC bulls back? on: March 14, 2023, 10:50:37 PM
It's a nice day because today the price has skyrocketed by more than 17%, if we save in the bank then to get a bank interest of 17% in my country it takes 4 years, but with bitcoin 17% profit can be obtained in 24 hours, this is what makes bitcoin always attractive and worth a long term investment, but i wouldn't sell it now even 2 hours ago i bought it when the price was $25200.

Yeah, it was a big surprised seeing the price rally again, 13% and then 17% today, and we've seen it goes to $26,500. Unfortunately, it didn't hold up again, X times that when we reach $25k and up, their is a huge selling point.

Now we are back to $24,700, but hopefully the Asian market will push it enough to reach $25k again and they stay their for good and become our support line and not the resistance. That is the scenario that we all wanted to see this March and say that the bulls is really back in the market. Because it seems that the bears can instantly change the course, just like in the last 8 hours or so.
1636  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue - WBC and WBO 122 lbs bout - May on: March 14, 2023, 10:40:56 PM
As far as upsets, Fulton is the champion and a live dog, so it's possible, but it's unlikely to happen because of what we have seen on Inoue in his last couple of fights in 118 lbs.

I think Stephen Fulton is the only boxer as a dominant champion that Naoya Inoue will face for the first time in his career. Most of the time, Inoue defends his belts but this time he's the challenger. It's been also always a rare situation when we see a challenger as a Favorite and that's how strong Inoue is.

Yeah, since Inoue is moving up to a new division, he will be the obvious challenger. But I think it's doesn't matter to him though, and maybe he will think that this is going to be his biggest fight as he is going up against the champion in super bantamweight.

Fulton even as a champion is facing a tough wall to destroy. Can't wait to see them settling the score in the ring.

And same with Fulton, this will be his biggest test of his career, although he is the champion, he is now the underdog. Nod disrespect, but as we have been saying all along, this is a hard fight for him. He hasn't face a challenger like Inoue before.
1637  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: March 14, 2023, 10:27:42 PM
It used to be a very close odds between the Raptors and the Nuggets, Toronto now, the under and I should have pulled the trigger with the Nuggets much earlier with -1.5 at 2.x or even ML at 1.9x something. Now ML for the Nuggets are @1.82.

OKC vs Brooklyn Nets - I will the Nets a chance to win in this game, ML @2.00.

Best of luck.
1638  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Bitcoin cannot be a Bank? on: March 14, 2023, 10:15:19 PM
There is no deceiving in my opinion, Bitcoin was initially design as P2P and as a payment system. However, throughout the years, it become more of a investment, or commodities and even 'sound money' for some.

So to be able to used it as what OP has described, the only thing you can do is convert it to fiat.

But who knows,

- Maybe in the future you can pay your Mortgage with Bitcoin
- Maybe in the future you can pay your house rent with Bitcoin?
- Maybe in the future you can pay all your bills with Bitcoin?
- Maybe in the future you ca pay your medical bills with Bitcoin?
1639  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ POLL ] The Unification Fight: FURY vs USYK sponsored by Utopia on: March 14, 2023, 10:01:54 PM
So apparently Usyk has agreed to fight under this deal 70/30 deal and signed on the deadline day: https://twitter.com/usykaa/status/1634284129620578304
https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/boxing/64924925

Whilst I'm glad Usyk was the better man and took the lowball deal rather than letting the fight fall through which Fury would have been happy to have happen I don't think it's fair on Usyk and I think this is just going to encourage more of the same behaviour from Fury. To be honest, I hope Usyk wins now. Hopefully Fury gets booed during the ring walk at least. I see a lot of his fans turning against him over his recent shenanigans. No doubt the PPV will be a record high of near £50 or something.

And if there's no deal made, then WBA will have to ordered Usyk to fight Dubois, there are even news that the rematch clause has been disputed by Fury's camp. Could be true that this is clearly a duck on Tyson's part. And I wouldn't be surprised if this fight is not going to happen.

It will be finger pointing after this, and guess what, he will proceed to fight another B-level fighter and continue to dodge Usyk, hehehe.

Yeah, most likely some fans of his can't justify his behavior right now.
1640  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Caleb Plant vs David Benavidez on: March 14, 2023, 09:53:05 PM
And as far as Caleb goes:

Quote
“This the best Caleb Plant anybody will ever see.”

https://www.boxingscene.com/caleb-plant-this-best-caleb-plant-anyone-ever-see--173090

So yeah, they have might have unwinding their trainers by now, or slowing it down, and maybe focus on making the weight. So watching what food they take, liquids and vitamins and everything that is getting into their system. It's not just the training that they do in the gym, it's more on the outside preparation for their body to be at the best during the fight.
