Anyone else feel Bayern has a chance at an upset? You know they've been outright favourites for many seasons until City this one.
Just remembered this post  Cool
Looking at the current scoreline should remind everyone that Bayern are a different beast when it comes to champions league football and am not surprised that they lead against Arsenal because experience is at play here over the young Arsenal player's... 37 minutes played let's see how this unfolds Smiley

Inplay prediction Arsenal 2-3 Bayern Munich
243  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: April 09, 2024, 06:54:07 PM
If Arsenal fail to beat Bayern today then I don't know who they will beat in this UEFA competition, because everything is working in their favour starting with an Arsenal parked stadium which is their 12th player as Bayern supporters are suctioned which leaves them handicapped, and if am to be honest I think the Germany team is in their worst form for such a game but I wouldn't count them out completely as this stage is full of surprises.

My prediction Arsenal 2-1 Bayern Munich

I almost forgot about the Real vs City game today, my friend texted me to make a bet and I remembered haha
I've already placed my bet here, today I believe in a Real victory, with odds of 2.60, very good

I know Real Madrid are a well decorated team in this competition, but I think Manchester City currently has the edge and they should deliver.

My prediction Madrid 0-1 Citizens

Almost forgot about pool B submission as I could not find the thread on page 1 but luckily my alarm went off and submissions done and thanks for the reminder  @B  Grin

Btw is it just me or the bonus plays look more lucrative and more likely to happen than predicting an actual outcome of a game  Cool and to avoid wasting points , can one go for bonus plays only without having to touch on match results Huh

Anyone else feel Bayern has a chance at an upset? You know they've been outright favourites for many seasons until City this one.

It's the champions league and you can't write Bayern off easily and they will prove themselves tonight !!

Let's go giants Slayer #Bayern

247  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Investing in casinos: Still a thing? on: April 08, 2024, 09:05:36 PM
I used to invest on bankroll of the casino in the past but the returns are not impressive. They are low and boring, most of it around 10-20% a year, which are minuscule compared to what some safe trading ideas would bring you in a month.
Low and boring indeed  Grin
But don't you think if you consider bankroll investments means you going for the safer route  here without the high risk of other options out there  Roll Eyes and besides I think this model works well for people with money sitting comfortably in their bank accounts collecting dust and don't need to be liquid regularly...

And that 10-20% per annum looks small but if you compound your investments, the profits do actually add up as compared to going for the trading route which is risky if you don't know what you doing  Cry

249  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would you advise a friend in the same way? on: April 08, 2024, 06:57:48 PM
Is this the wrong advice? A friend of mine took over his father's company because he is so old already and he told me about the money thats available doing nothing in the bank.

I told him to think about investing that money if he wants to keep the company growing, I told him about how MicroStrategy is doing so well using Bitcoin as a strong backbone of the company, I believe that even a small company can turn big if they use Bitcoin as their main investment.
Personally I say this wasn't sound advice considering you telling your buddy to mix company business with personal business which is wrong! If your friend wants to take extra investments or diversify his portfolio in things such as crypto, better he does this from his personal pay because time will come to make a big investment such as non current assets and funds won't be available how will he explain this...and by him taking over the operations of the company does that mean his also the accountant managing the companies finances??? Anyway I know you mean well but don't mix business with pleasure/friendship, just draw that line and you will be okay.

Or am I wrong? I need to know if this advice is a good one or a bad one, I gave him this advice because we are very close and also because I will do the same thing if I am in his shoe, this is the best thing i can think of right now.
Don't mix friendship with business, for me bad advice...if he wants to invest in crypto let hisms use his salary to do so...if he so needs to use that money improve the company, let him have new assets acquired such as a utility vehicle, buildings painted, or acquire new office space to expand to help write his legacy...

253  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How about your experience in taking part in the same bet with friends? on: April 08, 2024, 12:39:59 PM
Wins and losses are common in gambling. Losing a bet creates a lot of human stress for many gamblers because there are many gamblers who bet such money that they cannot afford to lose.
If you are going to gamble in a 50-50 situation and you know that losing will hurt you so bad such that the feeling can turn to become depression then don't a gamble!!! Gambling shouldn't be a life or death situation and it's okay to watch from the sidelines, but if you will have to borrow money just to gamble then these could actually be early signs of gambling addiction and should find ways of managing your time to avoid being hooked to gambling!!!

Some other gamblers after losing betting money they become depressed. Most of the time I have gambled alone and some times gambled with friends. There are some positive and negative aspects of gambling in these two situations. I feel a bit relaxed there when I participate in the same bet with my friends. Because even if I lose there, I get consolation seing from others. At the same time there are some differences of opinion before betting which sometimes creates confusion.

Have any of you had any such feelings?
Fortunately for me, me and my buddies have agreed not to support the same teams just to create an atmosphere of competition and fun, but if it comes to putting money on a team this is usually personal as its easy to influence other people's decision if you are on a winning run and we try to avoid this kind of decision making.

Is there less human pressure if gambling is conducted in the same place with friends?
If everyone is saying X team will win then there is less pressure , but when there are divergent picks... this is were the confusion comes in as people don't know what to go for which is why sometimes solo picks are better to remove any doubt or confusion!
254  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How safe is saving screenshots of useful information and BTC transactions? on: April 08, 2024, 10:16:00 AM

* My question is, how safe is it to keep screenshots of Bitcoin/crypto transactions and useful information, on ones device?
Like your buddy, I personally do take screenshots of things I believe are important and would want to revisit at a later time which isn't a bad thing, and besides content could be deleted and you won't find what you looking for, or perphaps you could use this as evidence in case someone says a transaction never happened...
If you ask me, it's actually a good habit as compared to relying on your biological memory which can forget if it wasn't interested in something.

* How do I go about letting my friend know about such a habit of taking and keeping screenshots on his device that I have observed and warn him about it, without looking like I sense bad days coming?
If it's something sensitive such as a mnemonic or some private keys his keeping as screenshots here you could tell them that should you lose your device or should it remain unattended to someone else could have access to this information which could lead to him losing valuable items and to avoid this he better find other means to store such data.

But if it's nothing too personal and private, I think there is nothing to worry about and nice looking out for your friend;)

This United -Liverpool match is explosive, Garnacho just had a goal ruled for offside but good to see Uniteds intentions that they want to win this one, and hoping they get a double on them!!!

I can only imagine how many want United to win today...Arsenal , Manchester City fans etc lol Let's go United¡!

Only a few minutes to go for the Manchester United - Liverpool game.  Grin  Liverpool are favoured a lot according to bookmakers (1.61) which isn't surprising. However I would still expect their odds to be a little higher than this because they couldn't beat the Red Devils yet this season. We can't be sure of anything about this game either.
Totally agree, this price should have been 2 odds to show that this is a tough game for them but to be at 1.6 is undervalued if you ask me and United will win this one!!

259  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is it right to advice other people against gambling for personal reasons like?? on: April 06, 2024, 06:49:24 PM

Do you guys think it's OK to advice other gamblers to quit gambling simply because of your own bad experience, does your bad experience mean that every other gambler out there will also have the same bad experience?
I will like some really useful discussions around this topic.
It's easy for him to be the ambassador of people stopping gambling after he lost his life savings and doesn't want other players to go through the same ordeal!!

And not to be judgemental on this... how does one go from $10 bets to losing $60K..come on fella's what I see here is a player full of greed and isn't sure with what they want or how to gamble! You know what they say, winners know when to stop and by stop doesn't mean you are profitable, this also means you have had a losing session and you walkaway to play another day...let's know when to walk away, simple!

Otherwise I would have loved to see a video of the player playing to see what went wrong...might learn something here.
260  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is a best way of taking advantage of BTC dips when away? on: April 06, 2024, 06:24:57 PM
.

What if I can't be available when Bitcoin is dumping? What if I am away because in reality I am always busy, you can tell how epileptic my activeness on this forum have become.

Is there anyway to buy Bitcoin dips when I am not available? So this come to my mind straight away.
The secret to this is knowing your technical analysis and employ a good risk management, and once you have this you can put in your pending orders that will fill once price pulls back (dips) to your price...just avoid buying at a premium.

.
A bitcoin buy the dip bot, that can trigger a certain price when I am away, is this possible?
Very much possible, by the way a simple limit order or stop pending order can help you just depends if you buying to hodl or its leveraged trading you are after.

.
Don't tell me to use a centralized exchange, been not active in crypto space means that a centralized exchange can collapse before you come back, I want something in my control.

If you have a better option, don't hesitate to share.
Buy from a centralised exchange then move coins to a non-custodial wallet, problem solved.
