241  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Is Now Climbing Back Again !! on: January 05, 2018, 11:01:17 PM

Bitcoin is climbing back again after the big December dip and it seems that people who almost got nervous breakdown when they read that Bitcoin was crashing are now smiling happily again. As just another traditional move for Bitcoin, we have been to a great rollercoaster ride for the holidays.

I am sure this is one of the many ways that Bitcoin is telling us that it is very resilient despite of all the problems it has been carrying on for a long time -- the clogs and the high transaction cost -- and that we should be looking for a better and much prosperous 2018.

Are you happy that Bitcoin seems to be back on the game -- again?

I am very happy that Bitcoin has climbed back higher once again. I hope this movement of Bitcoin will finally tell some Bitcoin supporters out there who seem to appear emotional when there is a dip that they should learn to trust Bitcoin because it will never be crashing at all. 2018 will be a year for new peaks for Bitcoin. That is very sure. I think the previous all time high Bitcoin will be successfully surpassed within this month. The rest of 2018 will be a great rollercoaster ride for sure.
242  Economy / Speculation / Re: 2018 predictions on: January 05, 2018, 04:44:24 AM
Crypto is at another rally. I heard that 2018 will be the GTFO year where BTC will hit 20-50k, maybe? Or some McAfee levels... Who knows. And then it crashes and will be low for quite some time. But what if the crypto will be just calmer. Go a little bit up, then down and stay on pretty much the same levels. What if there will be no bubble. Or what if the bubble already burst. Opinions?

There was no bubble actually. Why can there be bubbles when the majority of the cryptocurrencies, led by Bitcoin, are flying higher and higher every year? And we cannot discount the fact that all these cryptocurrencies are worth almost a trillion USD for now even if there are only a few people who are into it. Now, what will happen when the cryptocurrency market will finally attract and convince at least a quarter of the world?
243  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: KUCOIN Scam??? on: January 05, 2018, 03:08:50 AM
I've been using Kucoin to trade NEBLIO a few days now. Since last night it seems they have started faking trades to push the price/volume up.

Don't believe me? Try this..

Goto NEBL/ETH on Kucoin
Put in a buy order of 1 higher than the top buy order, eg if top buy order is 0.013117 you put yours at 0.013118
Within a minute there will be two trades completed 1 higher than yours at 0.013119, one will be double figures like 45nebls worth and one triple figures like 110 Nebls worth

The completed trades seem completely fake and always follow the same pattern. Don't worry your trade shouldn't go through as there will be no real buyers for yours.

Are you new to trading? It seems to me that you are quite not familiar with how trading platforms work. I have been trading in several exchanges and there are always robots or bots playing with you there. That is normal. Bots will not allow you to be on top. They will either lessen or increase their bid or ask prices by either one or two Sats. Do not mind all these bots. If you compete with them, you might end up losing so just name your price, proceed with your order and leave it. Actually, it also depends on the coin.
244  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum All Time High on: January 04, 2018, 03:51:22 AM
Ethereum can do so much than you think with  its current standing. Im predicting it would reach 2000$ by next month or should we say in the month of february. Ethereum has so much to look forward and with its power, applications and achievements, More and more big investors will notice this suppressing coin as much as the crypto community. So watch out. And now the price of ethereum is $930 and its increasing.

I hope what you are saying will come true. 2,000 USD per Ethereum by February is a bit high for me. But everything can be happening here. This is just the beginning of the year, it is expected that there are huge pumps especially in Bitcoin's and the major altcoins' prices. And that would definitely include Ethereum's. We are less than a thousand dollars for now but we are still on the early days of January. That means February is still very far. 2,000 USD to February it will be.
245  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin be too big to fail? on: January 03, 2018, 09:44:38 AM
After spending much time as a guest on this forum learning all I can about Bitcoin, I finally decided to join. Glad to be here and thanks for all the great advice along the way!

Now I have a question I'd like to ask. Is Bitcoin going to get to the point where it is too big to fail? The government bailed out Wall Street to avoid a financial collapse. Can Bitcoin gain the same status as Wall Street? The market cap is steadily increasing making it a big player in the game and I'm looking forward to where it is headed.

Thanks in advance!

Do not expect that the government will do the same thing that it does to Wall Street. The Wall Street is a very powerful and influential body that it even controls the government in some ways. It does not allow itself to fail and collapse just like that. In the same manner that the government is also saving Wall Street because it also benefited from it. Both are helping each other because both have the responsibility and large stakes whatever happens to their own status. In Bitcoin and crypto, there is a different situation because generally, Bitcoin and crypto is the antagonist.
246  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: cryptopia scammed??? on: January 03, 2018, 08:55:18 AM
The site of cryptopia does not work all morning.

Error code 20
The proxy failed to connect to the web server, due to TCP connection timeout.

Begin to worry?

UPD: like already works, but it looks frightening ...

I don't like hearing FUDs and panic reactions to virtually almost everything that is not working even for a day or half of it. If you care to monitor their operation and their announcements, you would have known what is happening and would not be rush-posting in here some unnecessary reaction. Maintenance is always needed in every website, most especially to trading sites because they are holding so huge a treasure. They have to see to it that everything' checked every now and then to preserve the security and safety of the platform. It is running now. Learn to chill, mate! You are worrying too much on things that are not even having a problem.
247  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin really secure? on: January 03, 2018, 08:01:56 AM
Hello pals,
Recently I introduced Bitcoin and cryptocurrency to my friends and family, they liked the concept but they asked me a question that I wasn't able to answer. Is Bitcoin really secure? What if a hacker was able to hack Bitcoin system/blockchain?Who manages Bitcoin security and what are the security measures taken to avoid hackers being able to steal Bitcoins? Why Bitcoin is not blocked for those who use it illegally by buying/selling in the deepweb market? What if governements ban Bitcoin because of these people?
I really appreciate if you  guys give me some answers

To be fair to your friends and family, they are raising some legitimate questions and concerns that you need to take as a concern to yourself as well. As regards hacking, Bitcoin is relatively secure and safe. As compared to other blockchain, Bitcoin is much better. I think the Bitcoin core team is the group that manages the security matter of the Bitcoin blockchain. But as to what measures the team is taking to avoid getting hacked, I particularly don't know. Bitcoin is not blocked because it cannot easily be blocked. It is decentralized so there is no single entity that would control its use.
248  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best Altcoin to invest right now? on: January 02, 2018, 01:55:25 AM
So I recently left the Bitcoin Market as I felt like it was not worth holding.

I want to get into Altcoin market, but what is the best currency I can buy and hold?

What are some coins that would rise drastically in 2018?

I guess you are wrong by completely turning away from the Bitcoin market. At least, do not fully turn away from it. Be patient. Bitcoin is the king and it will give you a safer way of earning in crypto. Perhaps you came in only in December because before December, the last quarter of 2018 is very great for Bitcoin. It was very bullish in fact. Well, you may invest some in Waves, Strat, Ripple, NEM, Ethereum, Ethereum Classic, Siacoin, IOTA, Monero, DASH, Litecoin. I am mentioning the ones that are surely going to boom this 2018. Many of them are relatively old timers in crypto land.
249  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to find coins with potential on: January 02, 2018, 01:07:08 AM
There are lot of things to study to find a coin with potential to rise. You have to study the project, the team working behind it and their experience in that field. Price is also a big factor in rise of a coin.

Cryptocurrency is way more difficult to study IMO because the value purely depend on supply and demand
So how they attract people to invest into their project ?
They must show some advantage that unlike other well known ICO so people become more interest on it !

This is right because having a good project sometimes doesn't help to have a high price on the market. Everything is linked to supply and demand balance.

I beg to disagree. The best thing that a coin has to offer is a good project. Never mind the supply and demand. The law of supply and demand will naturally follow afterwards. The first thing to do for any project is to develop their projects very well and then market it as well also. If you have a good project it is easy to market it and attract investors and supporters. And then of course this will result into a high demand. This is automatic because you have a high quality project. Unlike others that are bent on promoting their projects even if the truth is that their projects are half-baked. What will be the result later on? There might be investors but in the end, they will leave. You do not just want to attract small time and dumb investors. You always want the big ones.
250  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Cardano HOLD or SELL on: January 02, 2018, 12:23:51 AM
Hi, I have 650 ADA coin. Its chance to 10$ in 2018? Hold or sell?

If I were you, I would continue to keep my ADA coins in my wallet. ADA is still very new in market. There is still a brighter future for ADA. It is one very influential and powerful coin. As a matter of fact, it was actually outside the radar of so many people here until it suddenly reaches in powerful exchanges such as Bittrex. Not only did it suddenly came to the people attention because of exchanges but also because its pump was too high and yet sustained. There is still growth to this coin for sure in 2018.
251  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin starts new year with Bump on: January 01, 2018, 08:56:11 AM
Bitcoin started this new year with a little bump and all the other coins like ETH,LTCand BCH also bumping,so this bump will continue to rise in this year or still the price correction with bitcoin is not finished.

I hope this bumping in value of the top coins is indication enough that the following weeks and months of the new year will be very good to all crypto fans and supporters. Well, in the same time in 2017, the values of Bitcoin and the great majority of the alternate cryptocurrencies are also flying high. I hope everything will be repeated this year 2018. That was a very great feeling seeing the charts all green and the lines going upward. I think the correction is already done. This time, we will be seeing them fly.
252  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what to do if bitcoin decreases? on: December 31, 2017, 07:14:19 AM
now a lot of investors are investing in bitcoin, therefore bitcoin has increased very rapidly, if bitcoin decreased what should be done?, whether the investors will lose? Roll Eyes

There is no losing for as long as you continue to believe and hold your Bitcoins. The dumping will not go on until Bitcoin will finally die. The dumping is on a normal level I believe so there is really no reason to panic and go on selling Bitcoins even if their buying price was much higher. That is so absurd to do. As a matter of fact, large investors are taking the opportunity that Bitcoin has gone down and let them ride the bandwagon. Those who will sell as lower as the buying price will of course lose.
253  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BITCOIN IS STILL FAMOUS on: December 30, 2017, 08:39:04 AM
Bitcoin remains not only famous but also the most trusted and most-invested of all. We all know that when cryptocurrency was introduced to the world, there was only Bitcoin that is available. Bitcoin was a lone wolf back then. But it has carried the cryptocurrency brand alone until now. And not only did it carry the crypto brand but also made it super famous that all the cryptocurrencies right now owe a big part of their success to Bitcoin.
254  Other / Off-topic / Re: Is bitcoin dangerous ? on: December 30, 2017, 08:06:00 AM
I'm wondering why bitcoin was made if there are too many currencies in each country, why would anyone add or make a type of currency in the internet? For easier and faster transactions or so ?

Well, there was no digital currency yet before Bitcoin came. There was no online form of payment apart from fiat that was invented before Bitcoin. But on top of these all, Bitcoin was an invention to counter the centralized way of running things. The seat of power has always been with the banks. They are the regulators and decision-makers when it comes to our financial lives. Bitcoin gave the power back to individual persons.
255  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What ICOs are you looking forward to in 2018? on: December 29, 2017, 01:23:56 PM
As stated above. What are the ICOs that you are looking forward to invest in 2018?

Maybe im going to invest in Cypherium, but there isn't too much information about it yet.

I will most probably be investing in Titanium. As you can see, I am wearing their avatar and signature. This is because I totally believe that this project will be an easy sold out in its ICO this coming January 1, 2018. I am not promoting this because I am a participant of their campaign. Instead, I participated in their campaign because I am convinced that the internet infrastructure they are offering is one of a kind and truly revolutionary. I also believe in the Crypterium Project.
256  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin dead? on: December 29, 2017, 11:07:23 AM
Hey all check out my interview following segwit2x explaining why bitcoin is not dead!  https://humblyyourservant.com/2017/11/13/bitcoin-is-not-dead/

Would love any feedback!

Even if this may seem like a click-bait just to promote your Wordpress Blog to increase its traffic, I still did so. So your traffic had just increase by one visitor. You are welcome.  Grin Anyway, I am happy that another person posted another topic that is pro-Bitcoin. I hate to see and read so many threads and articles that are against Bitcoin. It's as if they have not made a treasure out of it. The soft fork or SegWit was not a threatening move but rather a development to Bitcoin so it was generally a welcome update. The Bitcoin Cash team has always been spreading negative news about Bitcoin. No one is buying it.
257  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Most anonymous coin at the moment, Deep onion or not? on: December 28, 2017, 12:58:17 PM

Who can tell me wich coin has the most anonymite ?

Deeponion has yet to prove its anonymous worth. It is still very young and has not really been tested fully. It is not yet even fully developed. If you really want anonymous coins, try reading about Monero (XMR) or ZCash (ZEC) or Dash. You may also try looking into Verge (XVG) or Komodo (KMD). There are much more tested and popular altcoins that made names because of their highly anonymous features. Deeponion is not yet one of them.
258  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Reasons You Shouldn't Buy Bitcoins on: December 28, 2017, 09:16:27 AM
Why should you not invest in bitcoins, cryptocurrencies?
Is there any valid reason to stay away from cryptocurrencies?
I think it is good to have some discussion here for our kind information.

If I want to remain in the shackles made by the banks, then perhaps I will not jump into Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. If I am totally convinced that the best way is the conventional way in which the governments and the banks are the most powerful and the ones in total control of our lives, then I will not consider joining the Bitcoin saga and the rising cryptocurrencies all in all. But since I am into transparency; since I am into decentralization, I am joining Bitcoin. I hope Bitcoin will continue to serves us.
259  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin's design is severely flawed on: December 28, 2017, 06:22:32 AM
It's perhaps one of the worst currencies in the world for everyday transactions. It's only good for transactions greater than $10,000, for now. As time goes on it will only be good for TX greater than $100,000. Any small TX would be useless to make with bitcoin.

Visa, Amex, Mastercard, will continue to dominate. Bitcoin really has no place in the financial world in this aspect....

In terms of transaction fees, Bitcoin has a really expensive one. That is the reason why Bitcoin cannot simply be used to buy our ordinary needs such as a can of soda or a piece of hamburger. There is really no point spending Bitcoin to buy such things. It might even end up that the transaction fees are much higher and more expensive than the thing you are buying. That is too odd and ugly. That is why it is advisable that Bitcoin be used in huge amounts.
260  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should I invest now or wait a while? on: December 28, 2017, 02:56:28 AM
Hey guys, my name is Thamos and I'm fairly new to Bitcoin. I've been reading up on Bitcoin for like, only, 2/3 weeks now. I was already planning on investing but I wanted to have a bit more knowledge about it all. I guess now I do.

I was just wondering, seeing how Bitcoin's price has increased by a lot over the last couple days, when would be best for me to hop in the pool. Should I buy now or should I wait till the price drops (even if it's only by a small percentage)?

I'm just looking for some advice. Thanks a lot!

Have you bought your Bitcoins already? The price has already risen. But it is still a little lower as compared to the All Time High that it used to reach. Bitcoin has reached $20,000 in some exchanges. But right now it is still around $15,000 so you can still buy it with a significant discount. I hope you were able to buy when Bitcoin went dipping at around $10,000. Either way, you will still have a good deal of gain in the early days and weeks of year 2018 for sure.
