2403  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Putting the Un in fUN on: September 21, 2014, 10:52:29 PM
The Unobtanium community is lucky to have two providers of dice games. These games help utilize the network and create fees for miners, while at the same time letting you try your luck and enjoy your Uno. These dice providers also help the network by keeping useful nodes online, ensuring that you'll always find peers when your client connects to the Uno network.

There are a variety of games offered. The dice games are very simple and are an easy way to begin your gambling addiction Wink.  First, go to the dice website and select your game.

Games are offered in a variety of odds.  My favorites are the 75%, 78% games. That means I have a 75-78% chance of winning. The higher the odds of winning, the lower the payout.  Games range from 98% to 1%.

After your game is selected, copy the address and send whatever amount of Un you want to risk.  It can take a few minutes, but eventually you either receive your winnings, or if you lose a small of amount of Un will be returned to your wallet as an acknowledgement. The games also show the latest winners/losers on their site.

Here are the two game sites:

http://cryptap.us/uno/dice

https://gameofdice.com/UNO

If you've never tried it, give it a shot. Supporting the network, our service providers and miners can be a lot of fUN with Dice!

with all those exchanges and other good new things a small ecosystem around uno is emerging. I think the future is bright for the No1 anti-inflation-commodity on the planet.
Good to be here before massadoption Smiley

I think things are about to get interesting.
2405  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN][UNO] The Blue Crypto Award on: September 19, 2014, 01:35:49 AM
What is uno?  Never heard.. Is it like the card game?  Lol Wink

Hi Promojo,
That's great! Welcome and thanks for asking. We had hoped to reach Un-newbies.

UNO is a sha256 pow cryptocurrency with unique characteristics. It was fairly launched in 2013.  It's nearly a year old. No premine. No instamine. It's rare, only 250k will ever be mined in 300 years. 190k exist, and the reward is halving against next month, so it's rare and getting rarer. This has made Uno very stable, and your holdings are not continually eroded away with a constant influx of new coins from mining or POS. Uno is well supported with great devs, great community, great exchanges, and even a growing merchant base. If you're tired of scam coins or coins that can't hold their community past the first pump, we hope you'll check out Uno.

The Blue Crypto Award is a grassroots effort by the community, which organized everything and donated the award.

If you're tired of scam coins or coins that can't hold their community past the first pump, we hope you'll check out Uno. We have fun, don't take ourselves too seriously, even as we are very serious about the future of Uno.
2406  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / UNO to remain on MintPal v2 on: September 19, 2014, 01:19:28 AM
Moolah said in a blog post yesterday:

"At this stage, we are not removing any coins from [MintPal] V1 in the migration. Every coin currently on the platform will be given a chance to prove itself, though every coin will also be eligible for delisting as per our previously published guidelines (ref: route to removal). "

It's official. Un is no longer in imminent danger of being delisted from MintPal v2. Thank you to those of you who stepped in to lobby Moolah on behalf of Un.

project idea #120

usb bootable wallets (:preloaded:)

On my wish list:
Cool looking physical Uno coins in a 10 un denomination or higher
A multi-pool where I can mine more profitable Scrypt coins with these cheap scrypt asics and auto convert into Uno would be great.
Merge mining of Un to increase profitability for miners.
Android wallet

That's just me talking, not speaking for the dev team by any means. What kind of things would you like to see?
2408  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [UNO] Unobtanium Info & Discussion - Current wallet 0.9.5 on: September 18, 2014, 02:45:19 AM
The last 30 days have seen a steady rise in UNO price, even as Btc has fallen.

Accumulators gonna accumulate.

A little bit of a pull back from .005, where there's more willing sellers. This is a good time to pick up some more $uno in the mid .004's before the run up to .006. based on this month-long trajectory.  Very interesting to see the decoupling from Bitcoin price.  Many traders seem to relate the price of Un now to the dollar, which is in that $2-$2.50 range for the moment..
2409  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Unobtanium In-House Exchange on: September 18, 2014, 12:13:03 AM
I accept fk003. PM your BTC address.

You got it.  Coming at you, Mark.

2411  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / It's official: UNO on Altmarket.com on: September 17, 2014, 11:57:22 AM

2412  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [UNO] Unobtanium Info & Discussion - Current wallet 0.9.5 on: September 17, 2014, 11:53:04 AM
@ gustav .... BOO YAH!

newcoinissues vs. coinstraded

Bitcoin: 3600 / 5400
UNO:  30 / 280

newcoinissues vs. coinstraded

Bitcoin: 3600 / 5400  (on all usd-markets combined)
UNO:  30 / 280  (on bittrex alone)

we could be tracking those numbers and also compare to other alts to help people understand what the deal is with unobtanium.

I love this idea! It's an interesting metric for traders and helps them understand a coin's true demand and it's potential as a store of value.
I could envision a website like coinmarketcap.com springing up to rank coins in this manner. The data is all there on the explorers and exchanges.
2413  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Parallelcoin | SHA256 + Scrypt | Multialgo | Bittrex! on: September 17, 2014, 01:42:12 AM
I'm still watching, and ready to help in whatever way I can. Would love to see this come together with Un and other coins.
Devs aren't always very chatty. The coin is working, people are mining; lets see what develops.
2414  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Offering 10 @ .0046? [fk03] on: September 16, 2014, 11:56:00 PM

I didn't even know bears could be taught to shave. Can you teach my wife?
2417  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Btc @ 466 on: September 16, 2014, 06:24:22 PM
BTC is at 466 at Coinbase.

If my best case scenario happens (and it's not too far fetched any more) get ready to say goodbye to .005 Uno for awhile. Smiley

I LOVE it when BTC tanks. New money goes in and I don't ever intend to take it out.
2418  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN][UNO] The Blue Crypto Award on: September 16, 2014, 05:00:14 PM
The Blue Crypto Award was mentioned in Crypto Currency Daily... http://paper.li/Kapsg/1386949501
It's in there, just you just have look. Wink
2419  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BETA][EXCHANGE][REALTIME] CoinEX realtime exchange on: September 16, 2014, 04:13:19 PM
Hey CoinEx victims.
We feel your pain. We get it. A large % of Unobtanium was on CoinEx, and we had to buy it all back from Erundook as he dumped it on Cryptsy over a couple of months. Buying back our own coins from a thief really sucked.

Anyway, if you want to be part of a coin community that's been through hell and survived/thrived, come check out $UNO and read our CoinEx story.

We're here for you. Smiley
2420  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Shin Dong-hyuk on: September 16, 2014, 03:26:34 PM

Am I allowed a second nomination?  If so I would nominate Shin Dong-hyuk

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shin_Dong-hyuk

He is a North Korean defector and activist. Shin has been described as the world's "single strongest voice" on the atrocities inside North Korean camps by a member of the United Nations' first commission of inquiry into human rights abuses of North Korea.

Anyone can definitely recommend up to 3 nominees; if you have a really good one, you can even recommend more!!  We have a capacity for 100 nominees, the way I set things up.

Now, hmm..., we haven't rejected a nominee, yet....  Well, firstly, our nominee recommendation and guidance is here on the 'Award website, or scroll down to the bottom of the 1st post here in this thread.

The 2014 Blue Crypto Award is intended for more of a science/technology crop of nominees, focusing on invention, but also of innovation of inventions and ideas.

Has Shin Dong-hyuk utilized new technology in broadcasting his fight, which benefits Humanity above and beyond the technology used by other activists?  If Shin Dong-hyuk is to be included this year under the artist exception, how different is his activist 'art' from other activists's?  See how much of a stretch this is?  We aren't saying Mr. Shin isn't deserving of an award, but this is too much of an outlier beyond our class of nominees this year.

We do hope to have additional 'Award categories next year, of which I hope we include one just for 'heros'.

Ok, maybe he's worthy, but is not a good fit with the established criteria. I'll withdraw the nomination,  and may re-nominate him next year.
