2381  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [UNO] Unobtanium Info & Discussion - Current wallet 0.9.5 on: September 26, 2014, 05:20:51 PM
Little help guys... My Unobtanium wallet not want to be synchronized. I have 7 active connections. Thank you!

Hi! Are you new to UNO or have you held for awhile?  If new, how did you hear about the coin?

BTW Welcome!

Since I mined on coinex. I took a interest in this coin! I been following in it regularly, in it for the long haul.

My problems remain I have active connections, but just does not sync, it says it does but it doesn't. Where should I add the nodes?

Here? libpng15-config Does not allow me to do it. Thanks again!
First be absolutely sure you have the 0.9.5 wallet. If not, get it from the OP here or from unobtanium.uno
Check the "block height" of your wallet (click on Console, then find "Current number of blocks). It should be very close to the block height shown at https://chainz.cryptoid.info/uno/    If block height is way higher than what's shown on the block explorer, then you're on the bad fork, and you'll need to back up your Uno wallet, and then delete the block chain and download it again.

Just out of curiosity, see who are you connected to. From Console, type getpeerinfo
This will give you a list of peers. It will also show which version of the wallet they are running (subver). If you see a lot of connections running wallets below 0.9.5, then that's the problem.

Here's how to create an unobtanium.conf file:
If you're using Windows, go to C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\Unobtanium
Create a text file called unobtanium.conf  and paste the addnodes in there and save.
Restart your UNO client.

Here's how to delete your block chain and download it again, should you discover that you are on the wrong fork:
Close your Uno wallet
If you're using Windows, go to C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\Unobtanium
Backup your wallet.dat. Just right click on it, copy it and paste it to a Usb drive as a precaution against loss.
Delete only these 3 folders: Blocks, Chainstate, Database
Restart your Uno wallet and it will begin to download the block chain again.

Oh man, it looks like the jump to 6 across all exchanges right now could happen for @ 7 btc, which is about half the amount that was spent in the past day!

once it's on, it's on Wink
Like Donkey Kong!!!!

I found this great video about trading Uno vs Bitcoin.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YubN1MPVN-4

It's animated so even I could understand it.

Cryptsy is on fire! I wonder how long it will take for the average price to burn through .005

My feeling is that it won't take long to burn through 005. Uno got a nice little bounce on CMC, but, historically, we're still too cheap vs USD.

2384  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [UNO] Unobtanium Info & Discussion - Current wallet 0.9.5 on: September 26, 2014, 01:21:34 AM
guys, it broke 0.005 on cryptsy few seconds ago. No need to pay off shills on twitter. Most people don't like the twitter pumpers and it is seen as a negative if they pump it often times.

I wouldn't say it's important to have twitter celebreties pump uno on twitter. Why should it be? If they like to tweet about it, ok. But paying them for that? I wouldn't do that.

we don't want pump and dump. We want some stability on higher level.
I prefer constant growth over panic-action any day.

Nah, we don't need those guys. Uno isn't some shitcoin that needs a pump.  We're approaching 3 months of upward longterm momentum based on fundamentals.

I don't begrudge those "fair pumps" where gamblers just show up and they're in and out in 4 minutes. They know what they're getting into. They redistribute the order book for a day, but it's no harm done really.   Real pumpers can do a lot of damage and give bad rep.  I hope Wolong doesn't show up again; he left a ton of bag holders who were selling for 2 months after the pump. We don't need that right now.

This was fun to watch. Smiley  Wasn't me, but I applaud the investor who understands the value of Uno in the .005's and 006's, and beyond.

2385  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [UNO] Unobtanium Info & Discussion - Current wallet 0.9.5 on: September 25, 2014, 11:57:35 AM
Seriously, V, I learned something. They weren't listening. It strengthens my conviction that we should engage The 99%.

And if I had a hundred-thousand bucks, I'd just buy so much Uno that we could indeed just sit and wait for everyone else to figure it out.

M

Someone must have been listening, because Bittrex traded 7 btc of UNO while I slept, and Cryptsy 5 btc.
2386  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 005 on: September 25, 2014, 01:18:39 AM

I'm not selling any more Un below 005. I've pulled any market making sell orders that I had on exchanges and repositioned them above .005.

+1 It's uncanny how we think alike.  I basically figured this out before you stated it, and did the same.  ...Except some of my UNO that was on the exchanges are no longer for sale at this time.  Wink

Sorry if I'm ranting, but consider this. Uno's market cap has traditionally and reliably and faithfully been above US$500k.

If the price climbed right now to .006, here's what the market cap would be:

That's just based simple math:  191,300 UNO  x  .006 btc, and converted to USD.
That's way undervalued imo.

Even at a price of .007 btc, that's merely a market cap of $565,610, which is still way too cheap. UNO has been far above that even in more recent times.

Anyone who wants .004 UNO won't be getting it from me.  It's worth more than that. You're going to have to fight me for it.  Cry
2387  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / 005 on: September 25, 2014, 12:55:40 AM
help needed swallowing the 61 UNO guys , i just bought till there

UNO < .006 is a very good price imo.  Looking at the Cryptsy book, after busting through .005, there is thin supply and nothing I see that would stop a run to .006.

yawning emptyness on the sellside after 0.005 on cryptsy. I think once breaking 0.005 we are through that layer of short-term profittakers. Need to watch out. Can fly away very easily after hitting 0.006 with no sellwalls popping up out of nowhere.
Supply is thin upwards of 0.005
I think next real sellresistance from 0.008 to 0.012
There's a gap with low supply between 0.005 and 0.008 pretty sure.
You'll see we get that spread on mintpal closed too once we are on higher level.

I'm not selling any more Un below 005. I've pulled any market making sell orders that I had on exchanges and repositioned them above .005.

Maybe I'll sell a little on the 1 to 1 exchange just for fun, but I'll only be buying in the 004's for the rest of the year (or for as long as sub-005 Uno lasts).  I have tons (literally Smiley ) of confidence in Un. I don't see the point of helping it squirm around in the 004's when the market cap is less than 400k ($ 376,376 as I write this). It doesn't make sense that I would sell that low, and I now see this as only an accumulation opportunity. The danger from my perspective is that some of the exchange volume might drop off as I won't be making markets in that 004 range any more.  Maybe you can step in and sell Uno cheap. But if you want my Uno, you'll have to climb the ladder to come and get it.
2388  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / "Microsoft Attack" on: September 24, 2014, 07:55:11 PM
I would be more concerned about a Microsoft or Apple attack on Bitcoin than the Government. Government will attack by regulation, but big companies will attack with dollars.

Just in your wildest dreams, imagine that the Bitcoin Foundation becomes disfunctional, slow to innovate and doesn't respond to serious problems discovered in the protocol. I know, that could never happen, but just play along with me here.

Microsoft senses an opportunity, so they step in with a new BTC client that is now going to be embedded on all Windows computers virtually overnight through a point update (Windows 8.2 we'll call it). It's "on" by default, and quickly surpasses 51% of the nodes on the network. MS even hosts the blockchain on their cloud drive so you don't have to download the entire freakin' thing to your computer/device.

They fork btc,  centralize the block chain, honoring all bitcoin that happened before the fork (except Satoshi's known stash and some known stolen bitcoin, which gets them good press as they claim to squeeze the criminals out of Bitcoin). Simultaneously they do a couple of strategic acquisitions to tilt the ecosystem in their direction (buy Bittrex and/or Cryptsy, a few large miners, a bank).

Merchants and other miners flock to "MS Bitcoin" because now it's backed by a huge company that has relationships with other huge companies and seen as safe while still laying a claim to the Bitcoin name.  The old fork drifts off into oblivion with us hardcore "stand your ground" libertarians and the BTC Foundation, while MS implements POS and other ungodly things that the masses don't care about; all they know is that it just works and it's kinda cool and it's supported by safe ol' Microsoft instead of crazy nerds who talk in a funny technical language and argue all the time. Bitcoin Girl is hired as spokesperson. Wall Street and most VC's cheer as MS announces a "MS Bitcoin fund for start ups."  Eventually it's rebranded as "Bitcoin Dot Net" and then just "Dot Net" as it's embedded into Visual Studios as a payment app.

It would hardly take a few billion dollars, chump change to these guys.

100 UNO Bounty Offer

If, Falling Knife gives us the permission to do so (I just him a PM asking for permission), please post the solution here (either the list or Youtube video) along with your UNO address.  If not, then please post the solution on a blog, website, Pastebin, or some other publicly accessible site along with your UNO address.  Once the solution is posted, I will verify that it solves my problem within 24 hours (probably much much less that 24) and I will send out your 100 UNO,  Thank you! Smiley
Permission granted. Smiley Using UNO to fund solutions to solve real world problems is good for the community. We can always start a community sanctioned "UNO Bounties" thread if it starts to get out of hand. But I think most of us would find it interesting to watch this and discuss it.

Needed email viewing software for work last week. During checkout I saw that they take Bitcoin, so I paid them with Bitcoin!

This is all so confusing. Lets setup a Peter Schiff vs Andreas Antonopoulos debate and settle this bitcoin thingy once and for all.

Sorry my skills are very limited.  $2 Uno will give way to $5 Uno.
2397  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [UNO] Unobtanium Info & Discussion - Current wallet 0.9.5 on: September 22, 2014, 10:56:23 PM
another 270 uno ready to be bought at 45 , just below my order of 59 UNO , more support needed !

Go get 'em tiger! Smiley  In USD, these are very good prices.
Uno should be at 006, easy.
2398  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [UNO] Unobtanium Info & Discussion - Current wallet 0.9.5 on: September 22, 2014, 10:50:05 PM
Is there any chance that BW's new exchange would allow for direct fiat to UNO purchases?

Yeah, I think there's a good chance. AltExchange & BW have been working on it, but having difficulty finding willing banks. BW has tweeted his thoughts on that already. But in the long run, I believe you'll be able to move fiat into Altmarket and then exchange directly for Uno.
2399  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BETA][EXCHANGE][REALTIME] CoinEX realtime exchange on: September 22, 2014, 08:07:25 PM
exchange will be back soon, recovering the database backup to fix all the mess happened overnight

I hope your not joking that would give the community another push towards the negative, to me it seems like there's a whole lot more going on than just a database faillure.
He is joking. It's never coming back. They've already sold coins stolen from Coinex users. There is blockchain proof.
2400  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [UNO] Unobtanium Info & Discussion - Current wallet 0.9.5 on: September 22, 2014, 07:38:05 PM
Someone got 465 uno at .0045 today at Cryptsy. Nice score.

Everyone's happy to be buying in the 004's right now. Nobody feels like punching through that little wall at 005? Not yet, anyway? Smiley

Uno is looking pretty the past 60 days, since the July low.

View back to April shows the clear break with the long term down trend, and the start of the current uptrend.
