2481  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: You don't need to hodl a particular coin all your life on: December 27, 2021, 02:20:07 PM
It depends on what coin they are hodling.

There are some coins that are good be to hodl in long term and there are coins that are not. I've hold my ATL token since 2017 and decided to sell it way back 2020 because I already accepted that their project was already a trash. Yes, that's a very wrong move to hold something like that, but since I didn't use any money on that, I still made money out of it.
2482  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Always take profit on: December 27, 2021, 12:31:31 PM
Have you considered taking profits of $1-3$ repeatedly throughout a trading session it might sound small for professional traders but it would go along way in growing an account most especially for beginners. If a trader cultivate the habbit of taking profit during trading he would have an upper hand over the market and also get clearer pictures of better entry points and also be on alert on when to exit especially during retracement.

$1-$3 profits ain't that bad if you're scalping, but if not, this is too small to be called profit, especially if you spend too much time on a certain technical analysis for a certain coin. Yes, I do agree that taking profit is important because that's what we need to keep on trading but we must not get easily faze by a fake out and take the $1-$3 profit. Setting a stop loss is also important, that would help us to minimize our losses as much as possible.
2483  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Technical aspect in trading on: December 25, 2021, 06:12:13 PM
Hello, friends, I have a request on trading skills that prompt this request is because of my recent experience in trading I used a large amount as capital for trading and at this moment the only amount being left to trade with is $200 I lost all my funds to spot trading.
Am looking for the technical aspects of trading what are the tools needed to build a good trading career.

You need to be patient, slowly learn about the basic fundamentals of trading, try it using smaller amount of money, when you find it profitable, increase the amount of money you put in trade and never be greedy. You have to keep your composure always, don't get easily frustrated just because you lose a lot, take a break and cool your head because you need it to polish every trade you're gonna do next.
2484  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is the market going to dump like that 2018? on: December 25, 2021, 03:44:25 PM
What do you suggest in such a situation?

Normally do nothing...

When everyone's excited about something, that's the point to sell. When people are disappointed, that might be the time to buy some more but when people are neutral and most have mixed feelings, it's normally best just to wait.

Mixed feelings don't normally cause dumps afaik too.

That being said, don't invest more than you can reasonably afford to lose.

I agree.

There's nothing to lose if you're just gonna wait for the right time, especially if you don't need the money. But that doesn't mean that you won't stay updated, it is important to know what's the update about that coin you are holding. Trading because you're afraid of bear market is just typically saying that you're ready to throw away the time you've spent hodling your token(s).

It's about losing your opportunity for a while and losing your profit forever.

Nag-pump kanina kabayan, $50,000 yata if I'm not mistaken.
2486  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Ang crypto after ng isang super typhoon. on: December 25, 2021, 02:18:12 PM
I disagree.

You wouldn't have fiat in the first place if you don't have your cryptocurrency, isa pa, depende na lang rin yan kung paano mo ihahanda ang iyong sarili sa isang sakuna. Kapag nawalan ng kuryente at internet connection, kahit yung mga pera sa bangko ay wala ring kwenta, so technically speaking, everything is useless if it's only available when we have electricity and internet connection.

Kelangan lang palaging maging boy scout.
2487  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Stake.com & responsible gambling? on: December 25, 2021, 12:59:00 PM
so you should change the thread title because your problem is not about emails and addiction, your problem is about new account you created after receiving emails and your new account was blocked with funds.
No, locking the second account is not the problem here because they locked it after he informed them about it.

Quote
is there any rule that prohibits people who are addicted after self-closing account cannot come back later to create a new account?
According to the self-exclusion terms, an excluded user must not create a new account or use any of his alternative accounts.
You should not attempt or proceed to open any new accounts during your self-exclusion period, or indefinitely if a permanent self-exclusion has been selected.
If the casino finds out you creayed a new account they will lock it immediately.

Quote
how would stake.com know that your addiction is gone? would you be able to prove it for them to unlock your account?
They don't. But when you request to be excluded you can choose for how long this exclusion shall remain ( 1 month, six months... or permanently).

now I don't understand what exactly OP wants stake.com to do? That's what I want to understand, I'm reading several posts but so far I can't understand what the OP wants? Does anyone understand what OP wants?
He wants that Stake wont be already sending out those promotional emails that might poke up again on his gambling addiction but since
he hadnt able to get on what he do like for Stakes response then he do whine out into the community.

I know that gambling addiction is hard but it would be just common sense that you shouldnt access things on where you could possible
see those in related with gambling things.

He do make out this issue to be this big but actually its not really needed or having no point.

It's really hard to resist your urge in playing gambling after you ignore it for some time, but I guess it still depends on the person on what's gonna be his reaction towards on that certain trigger. Gambling addiction is a serious disease that needs longer medication and therapy, but as long as the person who is addicted to gambling will never quit to his medication and will always report to his therapist, he will be cured in no time.
2488  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Thurman vs Barrios - Feb 5 on: December 25, 2021, 11:09:25 AM
Thurman being a cocky boxer who always underestimating his opponents is a reason that he is very prone to losing all of the time no matter how much training he had for an upcoming fight, just like what happened to his fight with Manny Pacquiao. I would bet for Barrios because he is more calm and focus when he is fighting, no throwing any attitude while fighting, just pure sportsmanship.
2489  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Nigeria Local leagues on: December 24, 2021, 02:04:55 PM
Have you tried Betway already? according to this Article, betway main sport is football, so I think this would be the one you're looking for.

Disclaimer:

Just like what others already said, I, myself don't try to gamble on this sport gambling site, so please be careful and be cautious before depositing your money. It would be better if you'll do some research about this website to confirm whether they are legit or not.
2490  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Betting to Risk Free Fights on: December 24, 2021, 01:16:22 PM
<...>

this reminds me of the old saying: "do you want to be right or do you want to make money?"
different ways to approach the world
maybe its better to approach betting as a job than as a pure entertainment activity if you want to win on the long run

It depends, I mean some of rich people would never consider betting as a job, it is just pure entertainment on them, however for those unfortunate people, they always consider betting as a job no matter how hard is it for them in winning. Your bets will never be always be right based on the information you've gathered, sometimes it is being bended by something that change everything, a win became a loss and a loss became a win, if you know what I mean.
2491  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Stake.com & responsible gambling? on: December 24, 2021, 12:21:49 PM
Dear fellow users,

Let me explain the situation im in with Stake.com,
I am a recovering gambling addict with an account at Stake due to problem gambling.

This account has been closed for a long time and they still kept spamming me with promotional and bonus emails, even though they were fully aware of my problems.

I have contacted live support and the legal department, and they have admitted their was a error in their database allowing to send promotional emails to problem gamblers, they have let me know they have fixed it after my messages.

Unfortunately Stake is not taking any responsibility regarding my issue and will blame me for their mistakes.

I hope there is someone noticing the pain Stake is causing to some of the problem gamblers out there, and I still hope Stake will solve this issue with me.

I'm sorry you are undergoing this problem knowing that you're still in the process of recovering from gambling addiction. The casino which is Stake should be responsible for this because they handle the lists of subscribers they would send promotional emails and bonuses advertisements for. The moment they knew your condition, they should have eliminated your name in the list that they would spam email to, to avoid doing any harm to you. It's just so saddening that the casinos have a very little concern to their clients and previous clients to the point that respecting the healing or recovering phase of someone who became obsessed or addicted to gambling is hardly done. This should be one of their priorities as a matter of fact because so many people have been suffering from this and it's no joke undergoing such challenge in life.

As small concern as it appears to be to others, this is a serious issue and a bomb to some. These promotions trigger the sleeping and slowly taming addiction in them. It won't help them recover if the sites would keep on spamming. I know there are other things that can be done such as unsubscribing or blocking their emails. But still, the casino should be held liable of their actions or lack thereof because not everyone can do such things (deleting emails, blocking, and unsubscribing) without triggering their addiction at all.

It's a good move that you have reached out to them. However, they really lack empathy because instead of doing something and apologizing for inconvenience, they chose to blame you instead. This shouldn't be their resolution. If their customer service would really insist to blame you or make the actions on your own, you can try to escalate it here in forum by reaching out to the higher ups who are managing the site. Maybe they could help you addressing your concern as a whole. I hope you continue to recover and please don't let this circumstance hinder you from totally healing. Goodluck and I'm really rooting for your recovery.
2492  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Worst exchange you experience for trading on: December 23, 2021, 03:54:56 PM
Probably those sensitive exchanges, I won't name them but those who has only a a very small amount of withdrawal you could make per day if you're not a verified user. Those who do not requires KYC and yet after you deposited your money, they will force you to submit your KYC to be able to unlock your account, etc...
2493  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Stop or continue trading on: December 23, 2021, 03:12:53 PM
That's gonna be a tough decision to make.

In my opinion, you should have to consider few things first before proceeding to continue your trading journey. First, you should consider your financial status as of now, if you can't afford to lose anymore money, then don't go back for now to trading. Second, you should think if you gained something from it aside from experience, if you gained only disappointments, and not learn anything from your experience, change your point of view and try something else instead. Third, losing a huge capital on trading doesn't mean you should stop, take a break, and read again the first two that I've mentioned.
2494  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Futures Trading (Cross vs Isolated Margin) on: December 23, 2021, 01:14:32 PM
I want to ask which is your much prefer the platform to use when trading futures?

There are some trading platforms that you only need collateral (could be any cryptocurrency) and you can trade in futures without having particular pair like USDC/USDT.

For example, in Binance there is a Cross/Isolated margin;

If cross, your balance in your future wallet will be used all and possible to liquidate.

If isolated margin, only the amount you set when opening your trade will be liquidated.

And on Binance, you can only use USDT to deposit in USD-M.

On the other side, FTX Exchange which got a sub-accounts feature if you want to isolate your fund and you will transfer a fund to a particular sub-account if you only want specific funds to liquidate since FTX is using cross margin and the same leverage per sub-account.

So, for you? Which is much better if you already tried to use this kind of feature trading futures?
Sub-accounts or Binance like trading futures?

I'll go for Binance futures since it's easier for me to use, also I know Binance much more than FTX, of course as a trader, I want to trade with assurance that my funds are safe even when I'm sleeping. Cross margin is only good if you have a lot of USDT and isolated margin is only good if you only have few, that's the simplest way to explain it. Either way, every traders should always be careful on the trades they are gonna make to avoid liquidation as much as possible.
2495  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Where I can check the crypto events calender? on: December 23, 2021, 12:35:50 PM
Look up "cryptocurrency events calendar" and you'll get lots of choices.

https://coindar.org/
https://coinscalendar.com/
https://coinmarketcal.com/en/
https://cointelegraph.com/events
https://www.coindesk.com/events/
https://coinloop.io/cryptocurrency-calendar
..., etc

There's actually way more than expected... unless someone is able to give their personal experience on your first picks, you should probably observe them for a few weeks first to see which has less garbage content and which is more updated.

I agree.

But I love the most is coinscalendar because their interface is very user-friendly, so you won't get confused about how their website works. I just wanna add www.cryptopanic.com if you guys want to read updated news about cryptocurrency. It helps me a lot in Trading because I know news that will hype the market and news that will make the market bearish.
2496  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Errol Spence Jr vs. Yordenis Ugas 3-Belt Welterweight Unification Match on: December 22, 2021, 12:06:31 PM
This will definitely be a great match because both players have reputable records and you can really say that are monsters inside the ring. Based on their previous matches, they are both aggressive and their performance is really great in which you can conclude that they really train so much to achieve every title they are fighting with. There is no specific date released yet about their fight, but I guess it would take place in the first quarter of 2022, maybe around the month of March or April. I'm not really sure, but that's just my lucky guess. Nonetheless, I hope this fight will push through because as we know, there are many fights already that have been postponed or even canceled completely because of conflicts in either the personal lives of the boxers or natural disasters.

In this fight, I think the favor would be in Spence despite his recent operation that caused his fight with Pacquiao to be canceled, still, he can definitely perform in his best version because it's only minor surgery and will not really affect his throwing punches as well as his body coordination. If ever Spence would win, I guess the Spence-Crawford fight would be next on track. But of course, before that, let's hope this Spence-Ugas fight will come into reality first. Really expecting a thrilling and exciting match in this.
2497  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitstarz Need help getting my deposit back/credited on: December 22, 2021, 11:32:52 AM
So I play pretty often at various crypto Casinos.  Not very often with Ethereum.  But anyway I bought some Ether from an exchange and sent it to Bitstarz.  Well the Adress they populated.    Total Sent

Here's the wallet address

0x57095Fb28aCeaCB24807Ad1c8b5C06866F2688e4
Here's the ID of transaction
0xb74f3c7edc700194f3233f53325842c1ba3e29a460fae481f6f9313decb9ef84

So you can see I attempted to send

0.00542271367344. + 0.006219. =0.011641

The fees were so high

Anyway the Ether is sitting at this wallet address and Bitstarz will no credit my account.  They say they can't and my wallet manager can fix it. . They say The other thing.  So am I screwed out of my money or is there anything I can do?

I really do hope that you didn't send your coins to the wrong address. Otherwise, consider it gone because there's no way of retrieving it unless the active user returns your funds back to your account. Now, if the address you have sent your coins is correct, maybe the reason why your deposit isn't reflected yet on your account is that you sent an amount that is below the minimum deposit that the casino has implemented. Most often this is the problem the players encounter mainly because the casinos do not really do the necessary steps to improve their service, hence, the players suffer. Once you try to deposit a certain amount that did not meet the requirements, your deposit will be forfeited. You will receive no deposit to your funds and most frequently they weren't really able to get their money back. I don't know if the casinos not updating the users about the minimum deposit before their transaction is done on purpose or what. Because this has been a problem for some time now not only in casinos but to other exchangers as well.

I just hope that the casinos and exchangers will address this problem and make necessary solutions to make it convenient and secure to the end of the user. Because after all, they make profits because of their patronage and if it weren't for them, they won't be making money so they should make sure at the very least to make their clients well-taken care of, giving them great products and services and not treating them like trash.
2498  Economy / Gambling / Re: If you loose your funds don't loose the fun on: December 22, 2021, 11:01:36 AM
I wish to share my story
While I played with all my money
I risked more than I could loose
My eyes suddenly saw my doom

I lost my mind, my eyes wall full
I had nothing left no one stood
How do I face this, my struggle has zoomed
I pondered on this but my emotion was fused

Take me home was all I could Muter
When I got home I went in search of peter
This was my childhood friend, who acted like a brother
I had enough confidence I felt I was out to gather

I felt a warm wrap on my shoulder
I understand u have lost, but u have to be stronger
You have to forget the loss, the fun is sweeter
With this words gradually I began to feel better

It's really very risky to gamble all out. Risking everything that you have is not really a good move. You should only risk what you can afford to lose and this applies to almost everything. Once you want to enter something, you should do your own research to avoid regrets and losses. After researching, you should know how to manage risks and do risk assessment the moment you already made up your mind that you will enter and dive into it. Because once you go all-in, you will really feel the devastation once you lose your bet all at once. It will be frustrating most especially if you staked everything that you have and left nothing for your future self to use.

The moment you lose everything will be the moment for some to wake up and come back to their senses. It's really saddening that some people really have to experience the worst before taking notes of the steps needed, when in fact it could have been prevented if they weren't so stubborn. But I guess that's life and we just really have our own ways in life.

But also please do remember that not all the time there will be someone to comfort you during your darkest days. Sometimes you'll just be left all alone, with no shoulder to cry or lean on and that's the reality. I agree that you have to be stronger and should bounce back and recover despite the losses. However, I disagree big time that you should forget the losses just because winning is sweet. No, that shouldn't be the case. You should remember your losses and take them as a learning experience in your life so that you won't be able to make the same mistakes again in the future. You don't have to sulk and take your failure to the heart, but you have to carry the lesson that situation has taught you. Eventually, you will come back stronger and wiser than ever and I think that is the beauty despite the failure. Just remember the next time around the values from your previous worst scenarios and use it to your advantage.
2499  Economy / Gambling / Re: This is why I love this forum...and we should make it more powerful on: December 22, 2021, 10:26:33 AM
I claimed 0.1etc and got lucky on crash and won 1etc. When I tried to cash out, lol they asked me to deposit 0.1etc and roll over 3 times. This is nowhere mentioned in their original thread:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5375243.0.

Below are the proofs:

I am waiting for my cash out and I will soon open a scam accusation against them if I have to.
I suggest you to stay away from this casino who is not even willing to pay 37$, guess what can happen if you play and win big there.

Edit: I got my cash out but I am sure I got it because of this forum.

Have you read their terms and conditions? If it is indicated in their TOS that you have to wager and deposit to claim your winning prize from the free spins, then you have to comply to be able to get your winnings. Otherwise, you will not be able to get any of it because it is in their policy. You have to follow their requirements. If it isn't originally stated in their TOS, maybe they have updated it without prior notice and that's completely legal. You should have read the whole policies to avoid confusion because it was possible that they include a disclaimer that they can change without updating their clients. I know some companies which have the same policy, but most of the time the companies really update their clients that they have changed and updated their agreement and proceed to ask the permission once again.

As a player, we should do our part to read everything that is stated in the contract, agreement, policy, or terms of service, whatever you may call it. So that in the future, we will have something to hold on to because we just didn't click the "I accept and agree" button, but also read and understood everything of its content. I know most of the time people just carelessly click that button because they are too lazy to read everything. But trust me, reading that, despite the long content will benefit you in the future most especially if that something is related to money or finances in general. Make reading a habit, like they say to avoid ignorance and future troubles.
2500  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com suddenly banned my Account on: December 22, 2021, 09:42:10 AM
I am an active using STAKE.COM site and using sport betting as gambling way, last week my account suddenly banned after success winning sport betting and now I have 2.3k doge in my wallet but my account have been banned. I try to chat support online but their reason my account banned because fraud with bonus, I never joining any bonus program and only active with gambling on sport side, how come 2,3k doge coin received from bonus, here my fund and my account still banned until right now

Did you do something that is against their terms of service? If so, maybe that thing is the reason why you have been banned. If you know to yourself that you have bypassed their conditions, then you shouldn't be crying here because you'll just waste your time and effort. Even if there is only a thing that you did wrong and clearly it is stated in their policies that you will suffer repercussions, then you should have prepared for the worst. The things that I am referring to are abusing bonuses, multiple accounts, usage of VPN, using scripts and the likes that basically has the common ground of cheating on the casino.

Now, if you know to yourself that you didn't do anything wrong at all and you are a good player that follows the terms of service, then that's the time that you should take an action to secure your funds. You can post on the scams and accusations board to address your concern and to spread awareness as well.  Post every detail of what happened and attach your pieces of evidence on your posts such as your screenshot of a conversation with their representatives and history/record of your account activities. After doing your part, wait for their resolution. If you won't receive any in the following days, escalate your issue to have necessary measures be done by the higher-ups or authorities.
