1561  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Twitch gambling problem and Sliker issue on: September 20, 2022, 12:52:34 AM
According to what I have read, gambling content particularly slots are permitted to be streamed on twitch. I think they don't have a rule in their terms of service that states an outright ban or suspension for those creators of gambling streaming content. This is why there are a lot of streamers on gambling games that share their content in twitch since it is a platform that caters their interest, and do not really have a strict regulation or limitation of content creations topic.

Perhaps twitch will just be alarmed and will make necessary actions the moment they will be called out by many in other platforms. Since they are profiting with what their streamers are doing, there's a big chance that they will just let this kind of cases to slide unless there's an urge for them to make a step to put such things into halt. Personally, I don't really get why streamer like Sliker will still ask to borrow money, most especially from his viewers because he makes a decent income for sure in streaming his content and therefore he shouldn't be soliciting from his followers. This just shows how addicted he is in gambling and how he handles his financial matters which is not really a role model specifically to the younger generations lurking around twitch platform.

Yes ofcourse, nobody can accurately predict the outcome of an even going to happen in future especially in gambling.
So even if we lose the bet it's still one of the outcomes that had happened and we should know that fact.
Moving on from a loss is definitely a skill that not everyone has. Many people chase the losses and end up losing more.
Moving on from it and planning out your next move is the strategy that everyone should focus on.

There's no such thing as perfect gambling so we can't expect consistent winning because no matter what strategy we may apply, the result will always be unpredictable. For me, chasing our losses will only lead to more losses so accepting failure and moving forward will be the best step that we can do to reach our target profit. Gambling is a challenging and exciting journey if we'll enjoy it.

Indeed. Flawless gambling methods don't exist. We can't continuously win as much as we want and no matter how good we are in gambling because aside from the gambling techniques and strategies, luck also play a role in winning a bet. Adding the fact that the house edge is greater than the RTP, it is wise to assume that after several winnings, eventually, the player will lose too because the algorithm is set in that way so that the casino will profit as well.

I think one of the greatest moves of casino to encourage players to play consecutively is to let them win until they become greedy of the winning prizes and then lower their chances once they hit the certain bracket intended to gradually lower the RTP. In that way, they will be enticed to play because they kept on winning, and will try to bet more to get more. This can be a make or break on the side of the gambler because he can take the profit if he is already satisfied, however, if he is greedy, he'll keep on playing until he runs out of luck that could lead to chasing losses.

Gambling has its benefits if and only if people will utilize it into their advantage. If not, they'll be the one manipulated by it and it could cost so much hassle, money, and time.
1563  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When betting becomes to high on: September 19, 2022, 04:04:09 AM
Have you ever had an experience betting in which you knew that you were going over the limits of you finances and still continued? I have one playing a game, it was absorbing plenty of my time and despite me knowing it, I was kind of hooked on it. It was not a financial problem, but left me wondering how easy is to actually fall into a bad habit and how difficult is to break it.

I haven't experienced it yet, thankfully. But I know some people who were so hooked about a particular betting game or game in general to the point that it consumed most of his time and even money. It was really confusing at first because you'll really wonder why some people choose to spend their money over something that they don't really need and not worthwhile in your perspective. But I got to understand them the moment a close friend opened up about why he spends so much over a video game accessory. This was because it was his joy and he experiences satisfaction whenever he buy something and even bet related to that online video game.

He said it was addicting to the point that he don't notice his accumulated expenses during those times he was so hooked with it. He is just lucky that he managed to see his bad behaviors along the way such as overspending before he even got too much addicted and dependent on it. You can easily fall into the cycle of continuous playing and betting, however, it is hard to break the chain once you are on it.
1564  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcoin as an electronic currency, can it be use for bet gambling on: September 19, 2022, 03:25:36 AM
As an electronic currency, I will like to know if bitcoin can be use in sport betting, apart from using your local currency, can I found my sport bet account using bitcoin.

There are numerous websites that already accept bitcoin now as deposit. Way back, there were only a few that accepts bitcoin but recently, a lot of gambling sites started accepting crypto, particularly bitcoin as a direct deposit of their players due to demand of many for convenience. You can check several threads regarding casinos that accept btc deposit for gambling. As far as I know, the websites popular here in forum accepts btc and other form of deposit. I can name a few gambling websites that accepts bitcoin to be used in betting which are: Stake, Cloudbet, Sportsbet, BetOnline, BitCasino, BetCoin, and FortuneJack. These are only a few of bitcoin-friendly website and there are many more you can choose from if you prefer playing using btc.
1565  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The Rise of Mobile Gambling Is Leaving People Ruined and Unable to Quit on: September 19, 2022, 02:31:09 AM
It can also increase the risk of gambling addiction because of how easy we can access gambling do experience all sort of things that make a person addicted to gambling.
There's this report that I've read during the first heavy blow of months of the pandemic.

That, this pandemic too many people have been hooked with their phones and made a lot of addiction, including gambling. It's because many are looking for ways to make money and they've thought of gambling is one of the easiest and quickest way.

In result, it made some money but many made it addicted.

This is true. This pandemic lasted for almost two years strict to moderate lockdown here in our country and I can attest that it is so boresome to the point  that I also wanted to find way to entertain myself and to make some income as well. During the pandemic, people decided to find something they can be busy with that can make money at the same time. In the middle of the crisis, NFTs were popular and people were enticed by the things it offer.

I myself, decided to invest in NFT during its peak. It is one of my most impulsive decisions in my life that is why a part of me regrets that I risked a huge amount of money without doing a background check and only to be driven by emotional aspect, not weighing the consequences. Although I've learned so much from that experience which I surely will look back when making decisions in the future. It taught me that money is earned with proper ways. There's no shortcut in generating a huge amount of money and therefore, do not be blinded by too good to be true offers and promises, most especially if you know little or nothing about the particular method they are referring. Because it will be addicting and the repercussions will cost you so much without you noticing.
1566  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto Casinos vs money laundering. on: September 19, 2022, 01:39:59 AM
It is instant after the decree is issued but it will take some time depending on the severity of the crime.   Authority cannot shutdown a service easily unless proven guilty of the accused crime.  It takes process and often times when the attorney of the service provider is well versed with the system the process takes months to years before the decision is made.
Yes, that's what I'm saying and that's why there's a due process and proper procedure before they do that. It is out of law if they force closure without due process.
These businesses and establishments know also the law about it and that's why if there are authorities that have done it to them, they can sue them and put it properly in the court.
Having that pending case can already ruin the reputation of the site, either they ask for compensation if they won the case or totally close the business to save their reputation as a developer and make another business again that will follow the law this time. Money laundering is a big issue, gambling activities are already red flag to the government and that’s why many are strictly implementing the KYC system, or else they will face problem later on if the government intervene with their system.

I agree with this.

Serious cases such as being involved in money laundering is a huge red flag for a casino and even in different financial platforms because the government loathes such act since it is against the law and it is one of the main sources of corruption. If a casino is known to be tolerating incoming funds or deposits from their players that the source is unknown for or is already known illegal, they will really face several charges that can break their reputation and even put into halt their business operations.

The casino owners should know that they should abide by the law and not just when it's convenient to them. After all, the law can make or break their business. They might lose their license and they might even face several cases that has different levels of punishment and fine. This is the reason why most casinos now ask for KYC to avoid this kind of inconvenience on their part because their source of income will be at stake if it is proven that money laundering in being done in their website or application.
1567  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Choices: Gamble or Help the poor ? on: September 19, 2022, 01:07:37 AM
In order to understand the psychology of gamblers, i have decided to come up few questions for discussions, and here is the first one.

Suppose that you are a responsible gambler who have allocated a certain portion of money to gamble each month. Now you came across a poor person/family who is in urgent need of money. Will you quit the gambling for that month and give the allocated money to the poor family or will you prefer to gamble as you can't live without gambling ?

I guess this will depend on someone's perspective and principles in life. Some gamblers are gambling not just for fun but for profit as well because it becomes their additional source of income, so some might ignore it because they are also looking for a living. Meanwhile some people are gambling just for the sake of entertainment so there's a higher chance that they will be able to give some portion of their gambling allocation to those in need.

Although it will really depend on the attitude of the person whether he is a giver or not. Of course, there are people who like to prioritize themselves first before anyone else and we can't really blame them because we are brought up in different environments. Some have innate empathy in them, while some people only have a little. But personally, if I will be in that situation, I will choose to give what I can afford to give. I will give wholeheartedly the amount I can spare for them, not compromising my needs and of course my risking fund in taking a chance in whatever form of gambling.
1568  Economy / Economics / Re: How to save as food inflation jumps more than 11% in a year on: September 17, 2022, 03:12:50 PM
Although it is indeed advisable to grow and raise your own food, many people in urban areas simply can't do that for lack of space. And although they could afford to rent or lease a piece of land on the outskirts for the said purpose, many probably don't have the time for it. After all, it requires commitment.

Raising crops and growing animals for food entail responsibilities which I'm afraid many of the working people in cities couldn't afford to take. As a matter of fact, majority of the working class in my country work 6 days a week. The only day which is supposed to be their rest day isn't even enough to take care of household chores which they couldn't attend to during weekdays.

I agree.

However, raising crops and animals does also gonna cost you a lot, fertilizers, feeds, and other needs of those two are affected by the inflation, so even in the rural areas, inflation is also a problem to the society.

Privileged people are the only one who could easily survive inflation, because those people who are living from paycheck to paycheck, no permanent source of income, blue-collar jobs with low salary and in on-call basis only, are cannot be advice to do the "look for higher income", because it's not easy, especially if they have a very corrupted Government that doesn't have any plans on how to solve the inflation problem going on.
1569  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto Casinos vs money laundering. on: September 17, 2022, 02:23:53 PM
Let's be honest, money laundering is the best thing that can happen to a casino and there is where most of high rollers comes from. I have seen some rollers in the past that runs some huge scams and then go to the casinos to play with the scammed money and with that justify where they get the money from after hitting some huge wins.

Nowadays most casinos has KYC, but i don't think that is enough to stop the money laundering, what casinos should do is to investigate the source of the deposits to fight against this illegal activity, but that will not happen because is a win-win game from them.

So, what do you say, does crypto casinos really care about money laundering?

Actually, it's not really a win-win for the casino just because they generate profit from it. Because once the authorities find out that they are tolerating such illegal activity from their players, the government will eventually come after them that could cost halting of their operations and eventually, loss of profit. It will cost them so much, that is why there are many casinos that are including rule/s about AMLA and doing of mandatory KYC in their terms of service to make the players aware of what they are planning to sign up for.

They don't want dirty money because handling dirty money could mean trouble. After all, they are still a business that needs a go signal to continually operates. They can't bribe the central organizations most especially the government, do they? Unless of course they have strong connections to the higher ups. But if that's not the case, then they better abide the law to avoid possible chaos.
1570  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will satoshi come back and give his 1 million btc to users of this forum if BTC on: September 17, 2022, 11:21:12 AM
What's the point of having Bitcoin given by Satoshi if ever, if it is worthless, like no value at all, it doesn't make sense. But if Satoshi will do some generosity like that, now, I'm sure he will never give you some by asking nonsense question like this.
1571  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BITCOIN IS NOT DEAD! on: September 17, 2022, 10:18:53 AM
Bitcoin never dies, it never will, in my opinion. If you are wondering why, bitcoin is indispensable when there are so many investors and money in it. Its lack of control and decentralization make it an excellent choice.

It's like you're saying that you could predict the market 100% accurate. Honestly, we couldn't ignore the possibility that it might die, or the right thing to say is to be devalued, though I agree that in the near future, Bitcoin will not reach that state, to be called "dead". It's not even new that people will call bitcoin that way because of the bear market. Every time Bitcoin's price dumps all the way down of half of its ATH, they spread FUDs even though they don't own Bitcoin, how ironic.
1572  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Bitcoin changed my life on: September 16, 2022, 01:56:10 PM
Don't quit your job to invest in bitcoin, it is a very unwise option to take, investing in bitcoin is not a business, neither is it time consuming, so you can keep your other sources of income or your jobs in real life and still comfortably invest in bitcoin.

It depends, I mean if you're not happy about your job, where you lose a lot of confidence, pride, self-love, because of the toxic workplace, then it's okay to leave, do not hesitate. Maybe that's what OP meant, or he is not happy about the salary he is getting every month which doesn't worth the energy and time he put per month.

Having full time in cryptocurrency is a bossy move, you can sleep anytime, you can wake up anytime, and you can do whatever you want. It's toxic free that could help anyone to earn more if done in a right way.
1573  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Crypto day trader groups on: September 16, 2022, 08:57:34 AM
I have a question! I am looking for an active messenger or telegram group (other platforms..) of crypto day traders to share information, signals, news...
Do you guys have any suggestions? Smiley

If you'll find any, most likely they are going to ask you money before you could join and have signals everyday that there's no guarantee you'll get profits. If you get unlucky, you could lose a lot of money with their signals and ended up having nothing, which is more frustrating because you lost your money using someone's decision.

Instead of looking for groups like that, there's a lot of tutorial on YouTube, just to have a basic knowledge about trading, and the rest is up to you to figure out.
1574  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to raise funding for trading? on: September 16, 2022, 07:25:31 AM
If I were you, I would do a fundraising, because that would put a lot of pressure on you that might cause a lot of error during trading. Rather than doing a fundraising, why not slowly invest in something instead, like a small business as another source of income that you could use to increase your fund in trading. Also, you could use the profits you're earning in trading because you said that you're earning good.

It's all about money management, don't buy things that you want, prioritize your funds in trading if you wanted to have a big capital by yourself.
1575  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: leverage trading method and psychology on: September 16, 2022, 04:32:24 AM

The issue I have is not so much bad calls but getting scared
I will go in with 10-20x leverage and see my money drop like a stone be down 20% and exit only to see it climb back up and hit the TP or climb higher
This has happened three times now.

If you don't do your technical analysis, of course this would happen to you, getting scared all of the time when your PNL became red. The right indicators and technical analysis is the solution to your problem, trust as well in your knowledge. Plus, you should also put stop loss in the price where your technical analysis told you, always follow that and you'll be able to grab the profits you always wanted.
1576  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: trading is good for traders with passive mindset on: September 16, 2022, 12:57:50 AM
Trading can be a hectic endeavor must, especially for those who are not persistent in their trading journey, but those who put all their time and mind into trading will develop skills over time that makes them more stable in trading. So in conclusion trading is for the passive mindset and not for the laggy mindset.

But not all of the people who are willing to spend a lot of time in trading with their persistency and perseverance are going to have the skills later on, it's not happening to everyone. So it is important to have a self-realization, whether it is worthy to continue the path in trading world or to try something new that is still related in cryptocurrency.

Because the other scenario that's happening is that a trader ignoring the signs that he isn't suitable in trading world, and forcing himself to spend more money and time in trading but only will get frustrations and losses.
1577  Economy / Gambling / Re: What is a game you would like to see in an online crypto casino? on: September 13, 2022, 03:48:23 AM
It seems to me that I may be wrong, but fairly simple games with not intricate rules attract the bulk of gamblers, really complex games should be considered from the point of view of the interest of professional players.

-  It is really better to play a game that is simple but you can earn a lot, as long as you have self-control and don't be greedy for money.

Now, if there's anything I want to see in casino games, maybe it's the color games, a game where you guess what color will come out and then you bet your money on the color you want, and what's even better here is that there are with players who will also bet on the color they want and they can also bet on the color you chose but you will be paid in cryptocurrency.

You're right. As long as someone knows his limitation, there won't be any problem. Betting what you can only afford to lose and having a good strategy and patience in betting will be someone's armor whenever he is playing. Of course, luck still plays a part in winning. Someone should just remember to always practice risk management before making an action.

Regarding casino games, I heard that color game is popular in the Philippines particularly in the province area and in city as well that has little amusement parks. I haven't tried it yet, but it seems fun reading and hearing other people's experience about color game so I might give it a try when I visit one near my area. Hopefully, there would be a casino game even locally that involves it for us to try. Because incorporating it in international and reputable casinos is still blurry, might as well start in local gambling website first. Although that is, if the gambling website owners see it as an income generating.
1578  Economy / Gambling / Re: Some Crazy Fun Facts About Casinos And Gambling You Might Not Know. on: September 13, 2022, 02:56:36 AM
Hmm peeing is crazy, but it's not fun at all.

If you ever worked as a cleaner or just at any restaurant or fast food especially where you will for sure have to do some cleaning, you'll definitely agree with me.

This is the part of gambling I don't enjoy, where people are no longer having fun and already addicted and people just stand by and feed off them.
This is definitely crazy and very inappropriate. Just imagine how the whole casino smells when all the gamblers just keep on peeing on the floor. This is too much addiction that they can’t even leave their tables just to urinate for a second. Although there are cleaners assigned but I think this is still too much. I wonder how the operator of this casino deals with this and tolerate their gamblers actions.
They shouldnt tolerate those users or gamblers who do commit out those kind of messy behavior on where peeing or defecating on the said venue or building which they should really be banned and wont be allowed

to go inside because its not really that right on having those kind of acts.Cant be denied that they are making huge money or revenue with those gambling addicts but its not tolerable into those people who just

crossed the border line yet those establishments does have comfort rooms whenever you do feel that you do need to pee or something else. Its not bad on having some pause on doing the right thing.

If they want to maintain their casino's orderliness and cleanliness, they should have zero tolerance to misconduct and unpleasant behaviors. This clearly disrespects the establishments as well as the owner's effort to build a place for them to play. Even if the players are the reason why a casino is running, it doesn't give them the right to make a mess out of someone's property and business. People who act like wild animal should receive a punishment such as temporary restriction from entering the casino's premises or outright and permanent ban from the establishments.

It's just so gross to even think about a smelly casino. It's horrible to even be in one because the addiction of the players is just too much to the point that getting up their seat for a minute just to satisfy their call of nature can't be done and instead just pees on the floor like an uncultured and ignorant swine. I hope there would be no establishment and gambling owner to allow such things from happening in their property because it will appear that they are tolerating and enabling them from acting as such which is not really a good example and will definitely harm the players in the long run.

poker still falls under the category of gambling, despite its status as a game of skill

Its absolutely gambling, theres no way even a good player wont have a day he is destined to lose because the cards dont come.   You cannot bluff everything, its a stop gap.   Im nothing close to good at Poker but I just wait for other peoples mistakes, problem is if you never have good cards which is totally possible then you lose the game that day.   Poker you win one day and always keep some because its going to be a loss another day you play, gambling overall is like that in handling the loss is part of the game.
People should have this kind of mindset that not everyday would be a profitable or winning day even if we do say that we are dealing with strategic based ones which we know that
we've been dealing with gambling then it would really be just normal that you would lose certain games on possible day which you should really make yourself that accept those probabilities
so that you wont really get disappointed or something like that because if not then it would really be creating that kind of desperation inside.

Indeed. It should be known to all that everyday is not a good day in gambling. There will really be times that the odds won't be on your side and that's totally okay because after all, there is just a certain percentage where you will win. No matter how good your strategy is, most of the time, the higher edge is on the house. There are just certain percentage of RTP which is beyond your control as a player. So definitely, there would be days that you will lose but do not let it eat you up. You shouldn't be shaken for a loss that you have bet because if ever you will be easily shaken, you'll end up chasing that loss until you no longer notice that you keep on losing your funds continuously.

Desperation of winning will just get you bankrupt. It won't do you anything good most especially if you do not possess the right mental headspace to handle the stress. If ever you lose, do not let your emotions control you. Remember to do proper risk assessment and management. Let yourself cool down and do not engage in further activities if you know you can't handle any more betting stress.
1580  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Vasiliy Lomachenko vs Jamaine Ortiz - October 29 on: September 13, 2022, 01:41:20 AM

What I love about this possible match is that this might last for 12 rounds. If it goes the distance, which it most probably will, it would be a terrible show of technical boxing skills, in-fight adjustments, etc. This is a great match not in a way that we will be at the edge of our seats anticipating that somebody would fall down on the canvas any moment but in a way that every opportunity to make a point is going to be very precious.

Often times when a fight last for 12 rounds the early rounds start slow and boring.  I just hope the fight would be exciting from rounds 1 to 12.  I would rather have a 1st round knockout than a boring 12-round fight.

I hope that would be the case, continuous adjustment with a frequent tactical exchange of blows every round.  Not the one I am thinking of when I heard about adjustment and strategy which often ends in both boxers waiting for an opportunity to counter making them idle for almost the entire round.

Magdaleno used to be a great fighter in is prime, he defeated Nonito Donaire, but for unknown reasons, he stay out of the limelight and even turn down a fight against Emmanuel Navarette.

Donaire fell in love with 1 shot knock out during their fight so Donaire failed to do a combination in this fight and as expected Donaire lost to him since the majority of Donaire's losses are when he go after for 1 KO punch which make him forget to do combination attacks.

I also don't prefer boring rounds. Slow paced boxing fights aren't my thing. I prefer aggressive, but calculated fights between opponents because it excites me and gives me the thrill. Because when an aggressive match is set on the ring, it is always surprising and worthwhile to watch. You'll never know when the opponent would land a strong jab against the other that could cause the other's fall for possible knockout. It's just so exhilarating to watch the aggressiveness of each to score a point and get the round on their side while exhibiting the art of strikes and footwork combined.

Although a continuous fight is surely tiring on their part, so it isn't really advisable on their end to continually exert effort and strength because it will just drain their energy which could give and opportunity and an opening weakness to the opponent they could take advantage from. This could be the reason why some trainers tell their handle to go slow at first and familiarize the opponent's style and strategy before going all out so that the effort and energy exerted won't be put into waste.

Hopefully, these boxers will showcase us one of the bests of their moves. Their fight has still over a month to commence, so they still have a lot of days to prepare and get ready. Definitely they will be pursuing to bring home the bacon and move forward with boxing careers.
