1581  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo vs Golovkin 3 - September 17 on: September 13, 2022, 01:08:16 AM
So I think the next match would be like a chess match where they will take it slow in the early round finding the possible strategy that will works on their opponent.

I'm thinking the other way, the fight will not be in slow down phase from the early rounds until the end to settle the score between them without any issues, they should try winning each round as much as possible. There's no need for them to wait on the usual testing skills before releasing their main strategy which is to try to always make a successful blow.

They already met twice, know each capability, know each other, know everything, and many more. Once they stepped onto the ring, they will exchange blows right away and who's the last man standing will be the winner.

This is one of the possible things to happen. It could be their approach once the game starts because as you mentioned, they already fought each other more than once and with their previous fights, they surely know now what is the style and strategy of their opponent. They might have practiced and prepared for the counter attacks to score more than the other and to win the rounds and to hopefully, win the match.

But still, we'll never know because they might have changed their fighting style to surprise their opponent. I can say that these both boxers possess good stance and power in fighting so for sure they will give us a thrilling fight. Their bout is about to happen few days from now. Let's wait and see what the result would be. So far, the crowd's favorite is Canelo, but surely the underdog won't let this opportunity to win slip away.
1582  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto Casino Stake.com sued for $400 million on: September 13, 2022, 12:37:21 AM
I hope the 3 former college schoolmates, friends, and business partners would reach an equitable settlement over the matter as this might seriously affect not just their personal relationships but also the business they're operating.

From a limited viewpoint, it seems the other two has indeed unfairly sidestepped Freeman. Not only was he not included in Stake, which was not just an idea he originally proposed but something he helped design himself, he was also kicked out from Primedice. But, for what?

Well, we'll see how this case unfolds. In the meantime, I'd rather be cautious in dealing with the two platforms as their operations might be affected in one way or another as they get embroiled in the case.

While this shamble is currently happening in Stake and Primedice, I guess it would be a better option if the players will temporarily pause betting and withdraw their funds for the mean time. This is because you'll never know what would be the outcome of this lawsuit. There is a chance that the lawsuit filed against stake would affect the casino's run, so it's better to be safe than sorry. Although I really do hope that they'll arrive at a good settlement and fair decision for each and everyone. I know it's hard to swallow that the people whom you trusted to go and sail with you will suddenly leave you behind without any notice at all. Hence, I understand why the co-designer got mad and felt the need to file for a lawsuit against his friends.

Afterall, trust is one of the most invested here aside from it being a business, the reliability and trustworthiness has been tainted. Hopefully this will be resolved as soon as possible and have only a minimal damage or effect to both casinos.
1583  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bonus Abuse: Who is to Blame? on: September 13, 2022, 12:06:06 AM
every promotion carried out by gambling sites has a large enough abuse loophole and it's not just 1 or 2 gambling sites that have experienced this. it's difficult for gambling sites to prevent this, especially those that don't require KYC, the gap for abuse is getting bigger, the problem is that gambling sites that require KYC will be deserted because people prefer non-KYC. the conclusion is that no one is to blame!!

So that is the reason why gambling as a whole bears a lot of risk. Not only for the gamblers but also for the one implementing the gambling activities. They will do anything to their power to get more users on their website. Bonuses and other stuff like that are always subject for abuse. Because people always finds a way how to get everything for free while monetising at the same time.
There would be no abuse if the casino/platform does really set out those security measures and those terms and conditions on the right manner because if people do find out some exploits or probabilities then it would be

normal that they would really be abusing it as much as it could or still possible on doing so thats why as a platform who do launched out these bonuses then it would be normal that you should really be checking out
first on everything.
Bonuses and perks are standard and a very common ways on hooking up people on playing on the site but it do always falls down into someones preference.

I have the same sentiments with you. There would be no bonus abuse if and only if the casino is conducting a maintenance, daily checking, or update on their security measures and servers. If the casino's security is strong enough, no one will be able to bypass and exploit the system. But if the security is weak and they are only conducting checking complacently, then certainly there would be bugs and glitches that would occur.

And as we know, the moment people know that there is a vulnerability in the system, they will utilize and take advantage of it for their own benefit. There are only a very few who will be honest and kind-hearted to report the glitch in which they can profit from. While both may be at fault because taking advantage of something that is just an error is bad, the casino is in greater responsibility of bonus abuse.
1584  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Some Popular Themes for Online Slot on: September 12, 2022, 02:39:32 PM
These themes are quite refreshing to the eyes because of the vibrant colors they possess as well as the graphics. Personally, I have no specifics in what slot theme to play, but I am fond of those which involve graphics of animals particularly cats. I am a cat person and it makes me happy and relaxed to see cat-themed slot games. As long as their graphics and interface are nice, then I'm most likely to be drawn more with it. I just don't prefer too many objects to the point it will look like they are all over the place. Balance and proper mix and match of colors and object content in a slot game is still of importance to me. Although I don't play often and I just do when I'm in the mood, but I guess those were my preferences, not just enclosed with the themes.
1585  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is the best way of contacting steamers who do live stream their gamble? on: September 12, 2022, 08:27:14 AM
If you want to reach out the streamers who gamble to ask a query, you can try checking their website or social media accounts to verify if you can contact them through it. Most of these streamers have social media pages you can try to message or even business email address to discuss about an offer or to ask something about what they are streaming.

Some of these streamers are approachable most especially those who are just starting yet so most probably you won't have a hard time. But if the streamers has made a big reputation already, expect to wait for a while before receiving a reply. You can check their YouTube account if they have any and perhaps Twitch. Or you can check if they have a discord or discord community intended for the fans and supporters. Some interact with their supporters quite often so discord might be an option. But the most used ones are Facebook, YouTube, Twitch, and their website.
1586  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The Rise of Mobile Gambling Is Leaving People Ruined and Unable to Quit on: September 12, 2022, 03:27:00 AM
It is obvious that with these technological advancements also come some negativities for a lot of people, great example outlined here are gamblers who cannot control their gambling urges. Usually self-exclusion solves this problem. But there are still cases wherein people can access other gambling platforms due to a weak self-exclusion system. By this time, it would be best if the gambler would seek advice from a psychologist regarding their condition. Intervention really is the key and perhaps the last resort for addicted gamblers if they keep on finding ways to gamble even though they want to stop.
Gambling addiction even from mobile gaming has also become rampant these days maybe because mobile gambling has become so easier that even kids these days have learned to access on it and become totally attached. The reason why most of the kids these days become lazy from doing household chores and sometimes turn into dishonest kids so they can ask money from their parents.
Only parents have control what the kids doing with phone, so it is responsibility of parents to keep away children from dangerous websites. Using various softwares like VPN of Parental Control services can be helpful for avoiding it. I have seen underage people using their dad's credit card to play slots and make some money to buy new stuff. It doesn't make sense to blame casino but when they ask KYC, it becomes hard to tell parent and explain situation.

It's one of the possible ways parents can resort to, to protect their children from the possible effects of gambling. Although this won't really guarantee that their children will be safe from the influence of gambling because like what is already known, gambling is all over the Internet and they can easily have an access to it if the gambling website do not really ask for KYC. In addition, the kids are now getting smarter and more techy which means some kids are already knowledgeable enough to bypass the security.

I still believe that it is much better to educate the children once they reach the right age to understand the concept of gambling. This is to ensure that no matter what they see, hear, or read online, they won't be lost in the wrong path and instead, they will know how to determine a risk and an opportunity and when to do actions that will benefit them.
1587  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The Rise of Mobile Gambling Is Leaving People Ruined and Unable to Quit on: September 12, 2022, 01:28:35 AM
Gambling has indeed positive and negative effects to the player. The effects of it will depend on how the gamblers take responsibility on their behavior towards betting. If they are impulsive and high-risk gamblers without the literacy about financial and risk management, they are likely to suffer gambling addiction and other problems related with gambling such as money aspect. However, if they are calculated and moderate-average gamblers with financial and risk management enough knowledge, they are lesser prone with gambling addiction and monetary issues because they won't bet more than what they can afford to lose.

The rise of mobile gambling has become an entertainment for some and way of generating income to some. To others, it is a mixture of both. It brought advantages to those who utilized it in strategic and right manner while it brought misfortunes and troubles to those who are haste in making a decision. It's up to us whether which of the two we want to be. Because gambling has a lot of risks and one of it is the serious case of addiction that is hard to managed and hard to treat most especially if the person is uncooperative and unwilling to be diagnosed by the professionals.
1588  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Importance of Multiplayer Gaming in Gambling Industry on: September 11, 2022, 11:51:57 PM
There are different types of people regarding the game they want some of them to want to play alone just a casual game that they can enjoy on their selves, and sone of the people are want to play against other players too some of them want to show up their skills and talent in playing and of course, it is more entertaining because you can compete with another player, and can challenge them but of course, it becomes possible toxic at the same time due to players mood in the current game.
But most likely, gamers these days are more on multiplayer gaming because aside from encouraging social interaction, it will also create a big challenge for them to show their abilities and skills on how to win that certain game. Though some prefer to play alone, but having these additional games that are played with numerous gamers, this creates more enthusiasm on part of the players.
Multi player gaming not only enhance social interaction but it’s also a way of developing certain strategies to excel and become an asset player in a group. The more players who engaged in a certain game, the more skills and strategies shown, and the more lively and challenging the game becomes. The reason why even kids these days have higher chances to become potential gamers in the future.
Yes, it has happened with different gamers. But one in thousand turns to be successful in this way whereas the rest doesn't make anything out of it. As stated the combined involvement will help in creating strategies, but a single player benefitting out of the same happens most of the time which discourage people from gaming.

You have a valid point. While the goal is very much ideal, in real life, there are only few gaming groups who attained the same level of success in each of their members. Some member really do excel and given more opportunities to grab while others are left stagnant. Perhaps it depends on the way of approach of the team and its manager so that each of the player will get the recognition they deserve.

This is indeed a good strategy to showcase different skills and techniques in playing but the methods toward fame and making reputation should be well thought of. Because most of the time, the players end up going solo to pursue more and to achieve more leaving other members behind.
1589  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: "The Lower-Risk Gambling Guidelines" Is this a joke? on: September 10, 2022, 05:04:28 PM
Some people doesnt really feel out some excitement when it doesnt really involved money thats why they do really end up on engaging with gambling because of this intent. Some does really have
good self control and some doesnt really have this kind of discipline which do really ends up on spending more.1% in overall salary or income wont really be bad thing but just what
been said by most people about spending 1% wont really be that enough for you to justify on the leisure or entertainment you do seek off thats why
ending up on spending more which it isnt that surprising.
Yep, most of the people are being tempted to bet more because other people are betting higher as well, without money or anything in return will not give thrill to any game that we are playing. Most of the people who spend a lot more than their salary are those people want to earn more or have more money to support their needs I just remember my uncle, until now he is doing the same thing.

I guess we can say that they are pressured by the people around them who bet with high amount if they are also tempted to do the same. Perhaps this have some sort of connection to FOMO because they don't want to be left out betting with small amount only. This isn't really a good thing if they will continue doing it without thinking about the consequences. Because as much as they want to be in the same page, if they can't afford to lose the money they are betting, the more painful it will be if they lost it.

Risk management is really essential as well as critical thinking skills. You shouldn't just impulsively bet just because you see others doing the same.
1590  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: lost 10 BTC in between Feb and May on: September 10, 2022, 10:36:54 AM
10 BTC is a huge chunk to lose within 3 months, but that's the risk attached to trading.

I agree.

Looks like OP enter huge trade with high leverage to get easy big profits even in small fluctuations. Maybe he got also greedy that he forgot to take profits along the way, or he didn't have any risk management therefore he just randomly traded any amount he wants hoping he could make an easy money over those 3 months. Trading won't always go with our plan, good to know OP that you're back again and I hope you'll gain that 10BTC back.
1591  Economy / Economics / Re: Why Bitcoin will always remain the best choice on: September 10, 2022, 02:32:53 AM
Bitcoin is a good investment because of its volatility, and it's proving its worth since it was released in the cryptocurrency market. Honestly, gold and Bitcoin are good to posses, however, gold is a little bit eye catcher, especially to thieves, so you can't sleep at night if you don't have any good storage and security at your house.

I love Bitcoin in all of the cryptocurrencies that are existing here in the blockchain world because it's accessible anytime and it's not hard to keep.
1592  Economy / Economics / Re: Working hours | How many are too many? on: September 10, 2022, 12:16:51 AM
I think that's the standard working hours, which is 8 hours, except if there are days that you need to do some overtime because you need the money or the company requires it. The only thing I don't like working 8 hours here in my country is being underpaid, and also I hate the fact that there's a salary difference each job, I mean we are all trying to put food in our tables therefore everyone should get the same exact minimum salary.

For example, if you're a construction worker here in my country, you'll get a minimum salary of $8 per day, if I'm not mistaken, and when you're working in a company like a call center, I think the bare minimum is $10-$12 per day (correct me if I'm wrong).

It's just sad that the work that requires no diploma or any educational background are being discriminated too much and underpaid too much, they also need the money so why.
1593  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Scalping, my best trading strategy on: September 09, 2022, 10:57:36 AM
Scalping or any kind of trading in cryptocurrency needs technical analysis, for you to maximize the profits you're looking to have every trade. Scalping is risky as well, and it's not suited for people that's indecisive, or having second thoughts always, because it is a type of trading that uses a very short timeframe to close a trade, if you hesitate to close trade, you'll lose couple or hundred of dollars depends on your leverage and how much did you put.

Scalping only has small profit every trade, but if you'll sum it up at the end of the day, the total profit is still good.
1594  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: buying low and selling high on: September 09, 2022, 06:34:27 AM
Trading platforms should always work with this principle.Always aim to buy low and sell high.Trading platform should never be in a hurry and always keep a cool head and take time to trade. Those who hastily bought at higher prices are the ones who fell off the seat from the trading platform. Always use the buy low and sell high strategy to make the most of this strategy.
high or low prices all depend on the planning made. Such principles are widely used for short-term investors. This can be done by taking advantage of market fluctuations. sounds easy but I'm sure it's quite difficult to do for a beginner.
it will be difficult to apply in daily trading, because in daily trading, sometimes we also have to place buy orders and sell orders at the same time. some traders may use this method.

It's not that hard actually if you have time to focus on trading in this kind of approach every day. However, doing buy low sell high without any knowledge on reading the price chart (technical analysis) could actually backfire in no time. I also happened to do this way back 2017 using ethereum and I could say that it is all about luck when making profits without using any technical analysis at all.

Day trading is the easiest way to trade in spot using your luck by assuming that every time you buy, that's the lowest it can get for that time and it'll pump a given timeframe. Again, technical analysis is a must for a higher chance of making a sure profit.
1595  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: stop loss and take profit on: September 09, 2022, 05:15:25 AM
I've never heard this platform but I'll give you my answer to that. Spot which I do believe, doesn't have any stop loss or take profit because you could sell or buy a coin in any price you want, leave it there after you made a trade and automatically it will be executed for you. Spot and futures has so many differences, the stop loss and take profit feature that futures has is because to avoid too much risk of liquidation, which is spot doesn't have.
1596  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Good trading software for Windows or Linux? on: September 09, 2022, 04:13:23 AM
If you're going to explore the internet regarding about this matter, many favors on Linux because of its less flawed lines of coding on its system. Linux is much better than windows especially when it comes to security, however, you need to be more advanced user when you're going to choose linux to maximize its potential as a software. Compared to windows, that has too many users around the globe, it makes it vulnerable to cyber attacks, malwares, and viruses.

Since you're trading, you might want to consider the fact that you need to secure the funds of yours that's going to be your key to make profits in trading.
1597  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: "The Lower-Risk Gambling Guidelines" Is this a joke? on: September 08, 2022, 03:07:46 AM
However if this guideline is solely created to newbie, I think the best title should be "Don't gamble unless your income reach millions dollar per year".  Grin

Such a joke that newbies will find not funny. Newbies are culprit of high gambling because they see every chance to gamble as opportunity to make profit and so they won't have to wait to take a bet until they exhausted all that money with them. Sometimes the advise of betting moderately sounds like it is mere news , newbies will not keep to that and that wouldn't make their income reach millions because of losses  Grin
There is no newbie that will ever want to take that into consideration because it may look weak and impossible to them. They can lack the ability to wait and gamble with small fund because they will want to be like there favorite gambler or like someone they are always inspired by there stories. The see the road to making a lots of money from gambling as easy as possible but never new that everything takes time and concentration.

We can't force ourselves to win when we gamble. Gambling is a spirit and we can always be intoxicated by what we hear and see which can make us loss guard and take up the most interesting part as our routine gambling habit.

I think this is a case to case basis. Gamblers differ in style. There are newbies that are cautious in gambling because they are afraid of losing so much especially they are still just starting. While there are also newbies that are impulsive in gambling because they feel the need to spend more to win more. It varies in perspective and risk management of a person. Although there are few mistakes that are generally made by newbies because of lack of knowledge and experience.

Indeed, we can't force gambling winning, but we can make things and do several strategies to win in order to profit. In gambling, you need to be skilled and knowledgeable in some areas. It also requires luck so we should already know that not everytime we will win. Sometimes we will lose as well and the percentage of winning will now depend on how we will do things.
1598  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Finding value bets on: September 08, 2022, 12:50:35 AM
Last night, Djokovic, one of the best tennis players on grass out there (potentially he is the favorite to win in Wimbledon) - had odds of 1.25 at peak against Timmy, after Timmy won one set.
Would you see that 1.25 as a value bet or not?

What if a tennis player in Wimbledon or some other big tournament, quickly goes 40-0 and you have him @ 1.10 to win the game (not the match, just that 40-0 game) - can this be a value bet?

What about a basketball match, the total line is 180.5 and the game in live goes 150.5 - is it worth taking the "over" because the line has dropped 30 points below the original line?

How do you define value in general?

I think it's an acquired skill to pick out these sort of value bets and still very hard o beat the sportbook analytics in the long run. With enough practice and a keen eye you could probably make it profitable, I was once able to pick something like 8 winning bets in a row for a free competition, although that's an extremely rare event - most of the time you'd barely be able to pick 2 or 3 correct in a row at a coin toss. Mispricing does happen and only someone who is very close to the sport is likely to know all the characteristics of who will win a certain event, in-play betting does have a lot more potential to disrupt the odds and give an individual an advantage.

This is indeed possible, but of course, it has its risks. Value bets are tricky because no one knows for sure if the bet is overestimated or underestimated which could lead you to losing end. Sports betting live could be one of the options someone would look into if they want to check the status of the odds first before making a bet. To some people this works good enough to predict the right outcome and win a few bucks. But to some it is tricky and risky because sudden turn of events make them doubt.

You are lucky and skilled enough to make consecutive 8 wins over a free competition. If someone has this kind of skills, definitely that person would generate profit over time. But of course, to acquire that would be handful as well and luck will also play a great part.
1599  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you play online/offline without your wife or family knowing it? on: September 07, 2022, 02:50:06 AM
I'm not sure if this is appropriate , but can we just let our self gambling outside our houses? if we really wanted to Hide from playing then better play outside their sight , meaning we should deal in gambling when there isa  given time or allocate time not close to them?
i never tried hiding because I am an open person that dont wanna make things complicated so instead of hiding I will tell them directly no matter how they react and decide .

It's really good to be open about your personal matters to your wife because you are already committed and should act and decide as one. Your partnership strengthened with marriage should have a strong foundation which should be honesty and trust. If you will keep secrets from your spouse, then expect misunderstandings later on. Because being secretive can lead to series of arguments once the other one suddenly finds out and is against it in the first place.

Discussion should be done in a relationship. If you want to gamble, you can tell to your wife and then from there, communicate what you want to do and why do you want it. If you are confident that you can provide, then adding leisure activity wouldn't be a problem. As long as you know your priorities such as providing your household's needs, most especially if you already have children, then you won't be lost because you'll properly allocate a part of your budget only in gambling. After all, we should only risk what we can afford to lose.

Communication is the key for a relationship to workout. If you are a good provider and a responsible person, for sure your wife would let you relax and do some entertaining activity once in a while to avoid burn out and of course, to reward yourself as well. But if your wife knows that you don't have the sense of responsibility in spending money, then most probably you'll have a hard time convincing her to let you gamble. I think this is one of the major reasons why some men do not let their wife knows they're gambling. Because once you get caught up, you might be lost and the risk is high too.
1600  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: "The Lower-Risk Gambling Guidelines" Is this a joke? on: September 06, 2022, 02:35:09 AM
From the things i see in gambling it does not have low risk what it have is risk, the risk i noticed with gamblling is similar to the risk which is involved in any other cryptocurrency related. I notice that gambling is as same as what we are dealing with. Do you know that even the cryptocurrency that everyone is buying is also an risk and provided that you have invested on it, is as same you think of gambling

Sure, gambling and crypto has risks, but they vary in level.

Gambling is a recreational and leisure activity. The main purpose of gambling is to entertain and its bonus factor is that you can profit while you are playing. You get to enjoy what you are doing with potential source of income on the side. However, gambling being a leisure activity with potential earning could be blinding to some. Without the firm sense of responsibility and discipline, some become lost in gambling. Due to its nature to entertain and at the same time to make profit, some people disregard the risks that come along with gambling, thinking that it's just low. However, the risks in gambling could be great depending on how you let it control and take over you instead of you utilizing it to your own advantage.

Meanwhile, cryptocurrency is an investment and not really an entertainment. People enter cryptocurrency to gain income and to become their storage of fund to avoid inflation. This appreciates overtime as long as you invested in a great crypto coin. Once you enter in an ideal position which is low price point, you can profit as much if you'll take profit once it sky rockets and hit your desired value to TP. In this case, you should just make sure that you know what you are doing. Otherwise, the risk would be big too because if you don't know where you are putting your money, you are basically burning it already with your very own hands.
