2501  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: prediction betting platform pros and cons? on: January 09, 2022, 11:35:24 PM
Though it is fun, nowadays the existence of different gambling sites have slowed down the interest over these kind of betting.
Prediction via pool betting is now trending on defi like on Pancakeswap prediction contest that let user bet on the price of BNB. The multiplier of the bet will depends on the difference between the difference of the prize pool of each side. This game idea is with the prediction betting that you mention earlier. Many dapps are already creating different version of this game. Maybe on typical casino, This kind of game doesn't in demand anymore.
That does not really seem like a game in which people should be interested, and the reason for that is that we need to have a very strong distinction between gambling and trading, gambling is supposed to be an activity that we do for fun, and as such there should not be any problem with losing a little bit of money each time we play, but when it comes to investing then everything should be about making profits, but at least to me the games that you are describing are trying to mix the two making many people believe that they can do both, to obtain profits and get some fun, when most of the time this is simply not possible.

I have seen in freebitco that they still have their regular betting lines regarding price prediction of btc, eth & fun token.
So maybe, this kind of betting doesn't attract anymore in some gambling sites, but I believe freebitco is still gaining a lot of bettors on this aspect.
I also believe, it is how the platform presents their betting lines here or promotional incentives offered to their players to sustain their interest.
They need to add other games or features aside from the prediction betting lines, because gamblers need to see or play other games while waiting for their results.
2502  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Thurman vs Barrios - Feb 5 on: January 09, 2022, 11:05:30 PM
Let's check the betting odds again. As per this site https://www.oddschecker.com/boxing/keith-thurman-v-mario-barrios/winner

Thurman is the favorite though not a heavy favorite, and I think the odds are still very attractive. He is currently 4/7, -175, or 1.57 in decimal.
That's 57% winning of your bet, I think I can take it without hesitation as I really love to see him win here.

At Duelbits, Thurman is at 1.59 odds. Just a lil bit higher.

https://duelbits.com/sportsbook/match/31435521-Thurman-Keith-vs-Barrios-Mario

I even saw one crypto bookie here offering 1.68 in favor of Thurman.
So yes, Thurman is slightly the favorite here. Hope he will not disappoint us here.
If he will win this fight, for sure, he will go after big names.
This is just a test of his strength in this comeback fight.
2503  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Best gambling site in 2021 on: January 09, 2022, 09:57:47 PM
The year 2021 has been flooded with the introduction of but new and old gambling platforms, the forum witness high traffic the year 2021 recorded the highest number of new gambling sites registering the presence on the forum while some became successful other simply scam and left. Let see a list of gambling sites that score the highest in 2021.

I'm sure that most of us here already know the list of legit and trusted gambling sites since they're not just famous but also being preferred by most of us here. Even though we don't name them, I believe that we already know the gambling sites with high reputations and those that are scams. There will surely be more gambling sites that will exist this year.

The good thing about here in the forum is, if you are a regular visitor in the gambling board, you basically will get the idea which casinos are doing good.
Or better yet, the popular casinos where gamblers are playing at, it may be old or newer casino. But you can get which one is credible, and the ones which are not.
You can also see how they are offering rewards, contests, or bonus programs to their loyal players. Are they generous or stingy one?
So yes, even if we don't identify those casinos, we basically know which of them are trustworthy, and building very good reputation in the gambling community.
2504  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Understanding the Ponzi Narrative on: January 09, 2022, 09:14:11 PM

Educating the masses would help clearify the issue of Bitcoin seen as ponzi. Many people have been a victim of ponzi schemes and most of them now generalize any online investment or opportunity as ponzi. But educating the masses can throw some enlightenment and clear the notion off. Ponzi is very different from ponzi in the sense that Bitcoin is completely decentralized and once a fraction is purchased either through a p2p network or throw any other means it remains in your wallet giving the buyer complete possession of the coin. In the area of ponzi the investor is investing in a project that isn't self explanatory. The attractive attributes is the promise to double the investment by an attractive percentage and most investors fall for that

Yes, education is the key for these people to change their perspectives towards bitcoin.
Because most people who are identifying btc as comparable to ponzi scheme don't know what they are talking about.
If they try to learn more about btc and these alt projects, they can easily check the difference.
Understanding on what's really happening in crypto market starts from educating yourself.
2505  Economy / Gambling / Re: Please suggest a bookmaker with a great referral bonus on: January 08, 2022, 11:56:52 PM
Is your influence the same as that of your friends out there? Don't confuse this just because your friend made a big profit from the program he ran while at the casino. Try to take a look at the Sportbook.io casino as it is by far the casino that has the greatest level of programming in the sports arena. But if it makes you more discouraged from gambling, I think you should start without expecting anything in return from the affiliate program.

I am assuming you mean sportsbet.io here, right? Smiley
Anyway, earnings from affiliate program is good if you can really invite active gamblers.
But if not, look for other features of the casino like their VIP program or bonus rewards as mentioned.
With the suggestions above, you can already check the site if they are indeed will serve your interest.
2506  Economy / Gambling / Re: BustabitWin.com | New Crash Game Earning more than you know, Gives 100 bit Bonus on: January 08, 2022, 11:09:57 PM
What's so original in a crash game launched in 2022? I'm asking since that's what you placed in your site.

It is just the common promotion of any new site, claiming to be something.
But we already know this kind of advertising. So hopefully, newbies will not fall easily on this kind of tactic.
As I read the previous comments, it seems that the OP here has a lot to clarify about.
We will wait for him to answer some valid questions here particularly his bankroll.
2507  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Errol Spence Jr vs. Yordenis Ugas 3-Belt Welterweight Unification Match on: January 08, 2022, 09:57:00 PM

I could say that Ugas is tough and good but beating up Spence is something like a wall.

That's an overstatement but I respect your personal opinion. We can always say that an undefeated fighter is tough to beat but they also has their weakness just like when we think that Ugas could never beat Pacman as Pacman is so fast, but look what happen, it was a complete opposite, Ugas dictated the fight and clearly dominated the Filipino champ.

I agree that we can never be sure what will happen inside the ring.
But I believe, bookies will still favor Spence here in terms of odds.
With Spence Jr's age and record, he can be considered at his advantage here.
But who knows, Ugas is working on the strategy how to beat Spence in the most unexpected strategy?
So this fight is indeed interesting to look forward to, bet  and watch.
2508  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What's the $500 for? NFT or Coin! on: January 07, 2022, 11:55:33 PM
If you have a capital of $ 500 for now then investing in potential altcoins is the right choice, since the decline at the beginning of this year is not a few investors who have capital then they invest in the best altcoins at this time, such as polkadot, matic and solana, but if you are interested in the current NFT project then only one project that I am sure for now is axie infinity maybe you can try to play while getting result.

It depends on the capability of the OP. Because not all people who go into NFT gaming can generate good profit.
But anyway, we don't know if he has already invested those $500 to crypto projects, because this thread was created last year.
There are really good projects like SOL, DOT, BSC as mentioned already. But one should know the risks involved.
2509  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ripple makes a $1 price bull set for 2022 on: January 07, 2022, 10:52:42 PM
As the entire market is in the recovery mode but a slow stage, Ripple one of the most active coins in the last couple of weeks back has made it to All-time high of $1, coin telegraph made the revelation on the news platform this afternoon.
https://cointelegraph.com/news/bitcoin-price-flatlines-as-xrp-hits-1-with-massive-altcoin-move-set-for-2022

1$ is so easy for XRP to reach. I actually believe that it could strike higher than 1usd this year since it already built a good reputation and is trusted by most investors despite its previous issue with sec. It isn't a bullish season yet it could reach the 1$ easily since its price rages quite lower than that.

The chance of reaching $1 is I think really not difficult or far away for XRP.
Once the bullish season comes, a lot of alts not only XRP will recover.
But are there new updates regarding XRP developments?
We also don't know what is the final verdict with SEC issues as based from below article, it seems that they are not yet out of SEC's eyes.
I guess, it would take years before they stop the tug-of-war scenario.

2510  Economy / Economics / Re: BTC: is it really bearish? on: January 07, 2022, 07:26:36 PM
I think current Bitcoin price has more to do with inflation and the pandemic than traditional economics.  You cant really graph or predict anything in a linear fashion with so many uncertainties going on at the same time.

Exactly, with the things going on right now, there are so many factors to consider.
The traditional economics I believe is also not applicable in these challenging times.
We can still use the concept but the situation is largely influence by the pandemic factor.
We are not living in the normal years here or should we say, it is the new normal even in the economic point of view?
BTC for me is still performing good, we are still above 40k.
Remember at the start of pandemic (Jan 2020), the value of btc was only about $7-9k. Just look at the difference.
2511  Economy / Speculation / Re: Evaluate your Bitcoin for next year on: January 06, 2022, 11:53:50 PM
The year 2021 is over, bitcoin failed to live up to analyst predictions with Bitcoin price hitting $100,000. Entering the new year there is still hope that the bitcoin price will improve and hit a new ATH record again. In this year, the investment strategy must be made as mature as possible. At least it should be more profitable than the previous year. Therefore, I hope that this year bitcoin will have a better performance with the new ecosystem that can push prices up significantly.

It shows that even so-called experts can't make an accurate prediction of the market.
Though it is good that you will see positive perception, but sometimes we also need to be realistic with our goals.
But the lifespan of btc is still not yet over so the chance of hitting a new ATH is always there.
Before breaking previous records, it is on your hands how you will attack the market to take advantage of what may possibly happen next.
2512  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do I know legit and scam investment? on: January 06, 2022, 10:11:04 PM
Many people do research on everything but stay behind this kind of problem. Since there are scammers all around us , caution is the only weapon. It is said that most of when we invest any new projects if the projects can not survive in the market and be fail we just claim that this is attracted by scammer but truly say that they fail to reach the goal. Some times it can be happen. There are many sign for identifying scam project investment. Very beginning have to learn what is their goal and product as well as their development. You just realize those things carefully, i think you will get better idea.

Most of the time, it is already too late before we realize that the project is going to disappear or end up as a scam.
While some are sincere with their endeavors but the problem is their financial capability, why some are ending their developments.
Up until now, there's no defined strategy how to spot a legit and scam project, you just look for possible warnings.
Like for example, if the project is using fake images of their members, then, the likelihood that it will bad is high.
2513  Other / Off-topic / Re: Theranos and the limits of Hype on: January 05, 2022, 11:23:04 PM
Good to see that at least some justice is served.

In way too many instances vapourware or phantom companies that have no product are able to raise money pre-revenue. I think that is a symptom of an underlying problem, especially when most investors who put money into Theranos were large institutions with various connections.

Decentralising and democratising access to capital is absolutely crucial.

I have watched the documentary - The Inventor before.
And I can say, she really did great job in attracting big investors.
If only the product was true, she would have made a difference in this world.
But I am wondering, in what stage of the product development did she honestly realize that that they don't have the product?
Maybe it was already too late for her and she only covered up and continued the pretensions to save the reputation of the company.
Sometimes if you are already in the top level, you have no idea what's going on from the ground level scenario.
But thanks to the whistleblowers, without their courage, their product may have been in this market.
2514  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Most private cryptocurrency on: January 04, 2022, 11:34:16 PM
I know there are cryptos that focus specifically on privacy like Monero, Zcash and others, so, when it comes to transactions anonymity and wallet exposure, what do you believe to be the best cryptocurrency in this field?
[Guide] Decent mixing methods is written by theymos. He recommended Bitcoin with Wasabi wallet and Monero.

Points are no mixing method is perfect and can 100% protect your anonymity. I read some posts by forum members and they discussed about a method by mixing between Bitcoin and privacy coins in and out exchanges or tumblers. I think the idea is good.

Assume you have Bitcoin, you can use Wasabi wallet and Tor, Coin Join transaction or tumblers, then you will use output after mixing as deposit to exchange and buy privacy coin. Then move a first privacy coin to another exchange and convert it to another privacy coin. Repeat it a few rounds.

The thread by Theymos is a good one to look at.
If you don't want to use mixers, monero is a very good candidate alt to use as already pointed out by other users.
And XMR is available in most trading platforms and you can also use their wallets (hardware or the lighter versions)
Just head to their site - https://www.getmonero.org/downloads/, and check which one suits your needs.
2515  Economy / Economics / Re: IRS says stolen property and bribes must be reported as income on: January 04, 2022, 10:15:03 PM
~
While I can't say I completely understand the process or future of the IRS in the country. It is quite possible that in the future, the IRS will be legally bound from sharing accounts of criminal activity with law enforcement to guarantee the government reaps a higher share of tax revenues from crime.
I initially thought this as a joke, but from the way it is presented and knowing the situation in the US, this looks really weird to begin with and i am not sure where this will end. If you think that the tax authorities will not share the criminal activities, that is a joke that might last till the presidential term of Biden, who i think is a puppet dancing to the tune of others.

They already created a huge mess and they are legitimizing many illegal activities and now paying your taxes for the things you stole, it is a funny world we live in  Cheesy.

Perhaps this is just a legal requirement to be able to later indict those that took bribes or earned on illicit activities on the usual charges plus the ones related to financial fraud. Effectively, this means that they will, for example get 10 years for drug trafficking and another 5 for fraud, so it basically makes their liability for anything that produces a profit even larger and also allows going after their accounts easier.

Do they really think that people who steal or accept bribes will report what they got?
This is somewhat funny but I believe, there's more story on this.
But high likely that people doing their illegal activities won't report it.
Because it is admitting their crime and it equates to possible jail time.
So don't know how they can encourage those people to come up front and report what they did?
2516  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CEX] Catena X (Catenax.org) | Bridging Blockchains! on: January 04, 2022, 09:30:24 PM
Harry Potter is more believable to read, hackings, death threaths. Ok, so now the project owner's sales have been made and the tokens burned? Can we see the burned tokens from somewhere? If that pump calmed the menace, there is no need to shut up. Silencing only increases speculation of rug pull.

Organize the AMA and code that bridge

As I am reading the conversations in their telegram channel, it seems some people have their reasons why they are thinking the possible worst scenario here.
However, we can't stop the team from what they are planning to do because they are holding their funds and their tokens.
As they already have negative trust, I hope people will be more cautious on this project up until the team clarify this matter, if in case they will go back.
Deletion of their social media account is one warning signal. I've seen this token to be around more than 50 cents and now it is $0.004???
2517  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 💎[ANN] Graphene [GFN] 100,000+ TPS💎Sharding • CASPER • Golang • eWASM • dAPPs on: January 03, 2022, 09:54:15 PM
I finally claimed my airdrop in the second round of airdrop I experimented by changing the wallet address where I can claim my airdrop, on my first try I was charged 0.75 BNB which is useless to proceed because of the very high fee, but when I changed my claiming address to a new one I was only charged with 0.002 which is way to low from my previous attempt, I recommend to those who are charged with a very high fee to change their claiming address and try again, it works for me.

A charge of 0.002 seems about fine, 0.75 BNB is indeed way too high.

Nice to read that you've claimed them without paying a high fee.

Most likely the 0.75BNB as a commission is an error of the procedure, the BSC was chosen precisely because it has much lower commissions.

I don't know if I'm in luck I almost lose my patience on claiming my airdrop but it just came to my mind to try to change my wallet address for claiming my airdrop and it works, I like to ask if others have claimed their airdrops by changing their wallet address, only a few more days to go and we will be claiming again, let's see if my second claim will be successful will be using the same address I used on my first claim if the fee is high I have two wallets ready in case.

Lucky for you that you can claim your airdrop at your own time.
But for example, those who put in stakecube, they are not claiming the 2nd airdrop up until now.
And now, the 3rd airdrop is coming. Maybe, send a message again to stakecube people about claiming this GFN airdrop.

But on another note, I am looking forward to see the GFN network to compete with new networks like SOL, AVAX, MATIC.
We know that SOL and MATIC are gaining their position in the market, having at the top 5 and 14 in the market positions, respectively.

Just want to make sure that this project is indeed supported by Azur Games, can you publish also the photos of your team members?
Because in azurgames.com, the Founder (Dmitry) has his photo posted on the site.
Whereas, in this axes.io, no photos of team members are published.
Maybe, just give a link of article or blog stating that azur games is officially part of this axes project.

edit : ok got this from the blog site of azurgames, just confirming the authenticity of this project.

I have been helping betnomi here and there for a couple years now, owner is still the same.
OK, I see they changed website a lot and it does look better, but I couldn't access any of the markets yesterday and it was loading non stop.
I could browse all the pages but I couldn't see any odds and matches, but when I checked again today everything is working fine.
I am not sure if that was some website issue or what, because I did new registration and there was no history or old cookies.

They have changes also when it comes to your deposit and withdrawal.
Now, you can view your funds to what coins you deposited and just view it in USD (if you choose USD as your fiat).
Because before, once you deposited, it automatically changes to USD amount, this is what I remember.
Also, for withdrawals, people should take note that they have 24h withdrawal limit. So need to check that out also.

Your goal of replacing the MADA payment seems difficult to achieve here.
Looking at your project, I don't know how strong your foundation is.
Are you working with ME merchants or shops so you can introduce your coin?
Just to test if your digital riyal will be accepted by these merchants.
Because if not, how can you replace their current fiat system if no merchant is accepting your coin as payment?
