~

Only an idiot thinks the enemy of his enemy is his friend, but calling you an idiot would be too insulting to people named George Bush.  But you go ahead, align yourself with elmanchez and lets see how many trust system inclusions you acquire as a result.  Cheesy

But, rather than spamming your drivel in the lending board, why don't you insult me in the reputation board where these types of discussions belong?  Afraid I'll expose you for the shit-posting, spamming, trust-system-troll that you really are?

ETA; I may be obnoxious, but repulsive?  That's just rude.
262  Economy / Reputation / Re: loginsam45 and his alleged alt-accounts: ltcrstrbrt, GigaBit and bluedeep on: August 08, 2023, 06:57:28 PM
I ask ltcrstrbrt, GigaBit and bluedeep to add their views as soon as possible. I also ask loginsam45 to explain in as much detail as possible:

And, exactly who the fuck are you to make such demands?  A shit-posting reputation board spammer and trust abuser?  What makes you think you have any authority here?  Harassing newbies and 1xBit sig-campaigners, and shit-posting your way through the reputation board may have convinced some to elevate you into DT, but I have news for you; your demands don't mean shit.
263  Other / Politics & Society / Kill the Boer? What's going on in South Africa? on: August 08, 2023, 06:30:51 PM
Is there a genocide taking place in South Africa?

For those of us who remember the days of apartheid in South Africa, we probably recall believing that we were on the "right side" of the argument if we supported ending the policy.  I have no personal experience with the country, other than having a white friend who participated in the Rhodesia-Zimbabwe civil war, and hearing his stories and his take on the political issues of the day.  I'm aware that one side of the story is not enough to make a judgment and his is the only first-hand account of the situation that I've ever heard.  It's worth noting that my friend is also vehemently opposed to apartheid, but he does argue that the implementation of the new governments and their policies were flawed.

Here we are, three decades later and there's still contention, fighting, and what appears to be a genocide of white property owners.  The most recent issues are related to property rights, specifically rights to the farmland in the country of South Africa.  Here's an article from 2021 that paints the picture:
https://www.accord.org.za/ajcr-issues/farm-attacks-or-white-genocide-interrogating-the-unresolved-land-question-in-south-africa/

Recently there was a rally held by the Economic Freedom Part and one of it's leaders, Julius Malema started chanting "Kill the Boer" (kill the white man,) and the crowd dutifully joined in the chant.  Since the EFT is a left leaning party (self described Marxists,) their aggressions have largely gone ignored by the American media.  However, a recent article in the NYT went so far as to excuse the allegations of murderous aggression.  Here is a substack article by someone who differs with NYT's editorial:
https://roddreher.substack.com/p/kill-the-boer-murder-white-south

I'll admit I'm very removed from the situation, but I still want to know what's going on.  I have no trust in the media in my country, they are more prone to obfuscate or straight up omit some of the more important news depending on political implications.

So, I'm asking those who have better insight into the issues facing South Africa today, what's going on?
264  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Are you running Bitcoin Core through Tor? Should it be a requirement? on: August 08, 2023, 05:00:39 PM
You seem to want to avoid Tor because you think your government will blacklist you if you use Tor to hide your traffic from them, but you think they will have no problem if you use a VPN to hide your traffic from them instead?

If that is satscraper's belief, he might actually have a point (to some extent.)  I'm sure the government would love for everybody to take satscraper's advice and use VPN instead of TOR, because the Feds can subpoena a VPN provider to trace your movements.  They can't subpoena your TOR movements, because there's no central provider for TOR.  They would have to subpoena hundreds, if not thousands of individual TOR relay operators, and even then they're unlikely to find anything concrete.

On the other hand, if you're using TOR and the government knows about it, what can they do about it?  Outlaw the use of TOR?  Will that stop the use of TOR or only make it's use more wide-spread?

Anyway, it's not out of the realm of possibilities for the feds to plant a Ray Epps in Bitcointalk.org to spread misinformation.
265  Economy / Lending / Re: Want to get a loan of 150 USDT on: August 08, 2023, 04:47:12 PM
Will you give me a job to earn USDT? I am well experienced on PHP, MYSQL, JAVASCRIPT & WORDPRESS. I will make a professional website for you.
NB: I am always open to do a job.  Also please tell me what to learn? If you really want to give me USDT with job colleteral, please mail me:

Doing job is better option for me. In this case I don't have to pay back. I am trying hard and soul to get a job online.

You've already earned an untrusted red-tag on your account for this silliness, which could prevent you from getting a job as it is.  You won't be getting a loan here and asking in multiple threads will only make things worse for you.   Stop this nonsense and lock this thread before some DT member decides to tag you also.

Post your offer to work to the Services board where it belongs.  There is a chance you'll get some work, but if you continue this bullshit, you'll earn yourself another red-tag  which will make finding work very unlikely.
266  Economy / Reputation / Re: Hhampuz using his position on forum to vindicate scams on: August 08, 2023, 02:52:15 PM
If you were confident in your statements you wouldn't use a new account to create the old known drama in this section.

What old known drama?  I wasn't aware of any issues with Rollbit until I read this thread.  If this is old news, it obviously wasn't known to all of us.

As I've clearly stated in this thread, I have no issues with Hhampuz's review, but I do have issues with all those focusing on the least important aspect of this thread; the status of the OP's account.  Even if the OP lacks confidence in his assertion, I would rather have him create a sockpuppet and bring up a non-issue than to have a potentially damaging issue go unaddressed due to fear of retaliation.

Look at all the members attacking the OP as it is.  Imagine if this were some up-and-coming Sr. Member with good potential.  Do you think these "Legendary" members would leave him alone, or would they continue to harass him for calling out one of our favorite CMs?

Don't be scammer asking colleteral.

Lol!  Condoras has been hear for 7 years, conducting deals for thousands of dollars.  He's far more trusted to not scam than a 9-post newbie who's contributed nothing to this forum, and done nothing but request hand-outs.

You have questions, here are some answers:  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5460744.0#post_Borrowers
268  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: bitcoin has its own operating system on: August 07, 2023, 08:57:56 PM
bitcoin and crypto also have their operating system

No they don't.  Bitcoin is open-source and compatible with almost every OS under the sun, and it certainly doesn't have or need "it's own."  Overledger is a proprietary OS that needs to be purchased to use, which obviously means it's not open-source.  I think you're confused by Quant's advertising and promotion campaigns, but I'm not sure how you got there.

Overledger is just another operating system, with built-in technology for blockchain management and integration.  I don't know what kernel it's based on, but I'll bet it's one of the more popular free Linux distros such as Debian or OpenBSD.  It's designed to help blockchain companies build and integrate blockchains more efficiently and faster.  At least that's what I've gathered from their literature.
269  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The danger of gender inequality on: August 07, 2023, 05:43:57 PM
What's the point of having a poll if the answers are the same, or too vague to even know what the options mean?

Is it fair to give a physically demanding job to a small MAN who can't preform the duties required of the job, and expect his collogues to pick up the slack?  If you answered no, then you're thinking clearly and without bias.

If I changed the word "MAN" to "WOMAN" in the statement above, would your answer be any different?  If so, then you're a bigoted activist, and not at all interested in "equality" but some corrupt notion of "equity."
270  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: unauthorized transactions on: August 07, 2023, 03:00:54 AM
Sorry for your loss.  There's really little that can be done other than filing a report with the cybercrimes law enforcement authorities in your area.  Who knows, maybe years from now they'll actually recover your bitcoin and you'll be a millionaire, but don't hold your breath.

Cricktor asks some really good questions, I'll highlight in yellow the ones that will help us help you, and in red the ones you should answer in secret.  Wink

1. What system did you use for your Electrum wallet? Was that also your daily driver? What kind of software was on that system?

2. Who had access to your computer, to your place? How about when you're on vacation?

3. Did you ever take digital pictures of your wallet's recovery words?

4. Where did you store your wallet's recovery words? Is it possible someone else could get access to those?

5. Did you use some password manager and saved your recovery words there, too?

6. Who else did know that you had bitcoins or other crypto currencies?

7. Did you always verify your Electrum software update downloads?

8. Your wallet had legacy addresses. Was this wallet created by Electrum or did you create your wallet by some other procedure?

Some other observations; the hack only targeted two private keys, and you say other funds in the wallet were left untouched.  That leads to more questions I'll add:

  • Did you start using a new mobile wallet recently?
  • Did you "stake" your keys with a service promising an "air-drop" (I don't know if people still fall for that, but it's worth asking)
  • Did you do anything seemingly innocent, yet out of the ordinary with the last several months?
Unfortunately this reminds me of a few incidents reported around the start of the year.

Joe Burrow is higher than Josh Allen,

No.  But Justin Herbert might be better than both of them this year.

Dak Presscott lower than Aaron Rodgers?

Yes.  I'd rather have Aaron stoned out of his gorge on weed, mushrooms, and mescal than a stone-cold sober Dak.  I don't know how Rodgers will do in NY, but normally I would put him higher than 9th.

Should Massage Watson be in the list?

No.

Pool address sent to all via PM.

We didn't really discuss the entry fee, other than making the suggestion that it be 2.5mBTC.  Well, I already submitted my payment, so it's settled: BTC0.0025 is the entry fee.  No rush, but let's try to get the fee paid before draft day.

Okay, now who's stalking whom?

Please stop spamming your nonsense in the lending board, if you want to rant do so here.

Also, you must have issues with your reading comprehension, I don't want to meet you because my time is too valuable to waste it on scammers.  Go back and read what I wrote, including what I wrote about my knowledge of martial arts, lol.

Maybe if you behaved like a man, owned up to your mistakes, and stopped hiding behind your army of alts you might actually be able to recover a somewhat respectable reputation here.  But obviously you're not ready for that.  You don't have to believe me, but it's a lot more likely to happen with your main account than it is while hiding behind an alt.

I wish you the best, elmanchez, I really do.  There was a time when I really liked you and thought you were a good kid who just needed some guidance.  But I'm sorry, I have no interest in meeting you face to face unless you reform yourself from the shady scammer you've proven yourself to be.
274  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏈🏈 The American Football Discussion Thread 🏈🏈 on: August 06, 2023, 04:03:06 PM
Fine, I'll play one more year with you guys  Grin

Woot!  We've got a full crew, and a damn fine bunch we are, even if I do say so myself.

Last night I had a dream that bitcoin pumped to $41k, so I'll send out the pool address today, before that happens.  Not that I think my dreams are likely to come true, but this one has a reasonably good chance.
275  Economy / Lending / Re: I want a 24 hours collateral btc loan. on: August 06, 2023, 03:11:10 PM
Save your energy until we meet, you may need it  Kiss

Another thinly vailed threat?  You must think you're the only one who's ever claimed to know martial arts on the internet.

Well, I know Karate, Wing Chun, Taekwondo, Jujitsu, Kimchee, and whole bunch of other Asian words.
276  Economy / Lending / Re: I want a 24 hours collateral btc loan. on: August 06, 2023, 12:41:37 PM
My account did got hacked and everyone have the right to think what they want, to be honest I don't care.

Yes, everyone has the right to believe you're full of shit, if they choose.

This week I had two close family members...

It's always such elaborate excuses and sob stories with you, elmanchez.  Full of tragedy and hardships.  I bet the reality is that you still live in your mom's basement and she makes your bed every morning.

it better to speak face to face then like a video call and we can see ourselves.

Who wants to waste time, effort, and money to schedule a meeting with someone they're convinced is a scammer?  Do you really expect anyone to care that much about proving you wrong?  If so, that makes you rather narcissistic.  Sorry to burst you're bubble, but when I'm in Thailand next year, the last thing I care to do is waste any of my time on you.  And one more thing, I still think you're lying about your location is really doesn't matter.

I don't think my reputation here should get destroyed by this.

You're entitled to your opinion, and others are free to disagree.

And one thing to add, why would I need to take a $65 collateral loan?

It's never about the amount or the need when we're talking about kleptomania.
277  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏈🏈 The American Football Discussion Thread 🏈🏈 on: August 05, 2023, 04:33:58 PM
Well, this all looks settled to me.  Unless I forgot something, please let me know.

1) Spot lockup deadline: 3 Weeks (7 votes in favor)

2) date of draft day: Sunday, September 3rd (7 participants agree)

3) Accept Yahoo and Seek3r into joining the league? Yes (7 votes in favor)

4) Keep Hueristic as Commish? Yes (7 votes in favor)

5) Keep DireWolfM14 as treasurer? Yes (6 votes in favor)

6) should we go into debating and voting for rule changes before the player list is set and dues are collected?: Yes (7 votes in favor)

Now for something completely different; a man with more questions:

1. For what time do you prefer to schedule the draft?  I vote for ~12:00 UTC and later, or 05:00 UTC and earlier.

2. Get rid of kickers?  NO!

3. Change waiver order to reverse standings?  Yes.*

*This isn't such a big deal to me, really.  I don't mind keeping things the way they are, so consider this a soft vote.  The way things were last year certainly didn't hurt Hueristic, he was doing horribly at the start of the season, and made a ton of smart moves despite the random waiver order.

I just think that "reverse standings" could help keep the league more competitive, and it's worth trying for a year.

I think it's fair to allow yahoo62278 and seek3r to vote on the above questions.
278  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Are you running Bitcoin Core through Tor? Should it be a requirement? on: August 04, 2023, 08:44:04 PM
Bitcoin as a decentralized network, for the people, by the people should provide as many options as possible to make it easy for all types to use.  So, no it should not force TOR onto it's users.  Some folks will require more privacy than others, such as those who live where bitcoin is banned, but others who don't need the IP privacy should be able to use faster, less congestive, more accessible networks.  As mocacinno said, there're other ways to maintain privacy, since no one can determine if a node originated the transaction or merely broadcast it.  Especially if a node has both, clearnet and TOR enabled.

The sad truth is that most people who were born after 1985 have no clue what privacy really looks like, and couldn't care less about it.  They're used to living in world with cameras everywhere, including one in every pocket of every human they encounter.  Geezers such as myself are still distrustful and skeptical of the Surveillance States that have taken over the majority of our national governments.  But that doesn't mean I won't troll them.  So, unlike o_e_l_e_o I have one node server running both clearnet and TOR, but I never transmit any transactions over that node.

I run two other nodes purely over TOR; one is my desktop hot wallet, and another server for SPV services.  So, whether I use Electrum, or just transact through my Bitcoin wallet, I know that my transactions are likely to be routed through TOR.  I say "likely" because there is a chink in my armor; all three are configured with addnode to connect to each other using my local LAN IPs, so in reality I don't know which of the three is going to broadcast my transactions to the rest of the network.  But that's a decision I made fully conscious of the risks, and it's something I can change in about 30 seconds.

So, why do I want to troll my government?  They deserve it, and should be put on notice!  The Federal Reserve is a leading cause of corruption within our economic structure (banks are too big to fail? WTF) and facilitates the federal government's overreach of power.  Not to mention it's unconstitutional.

So yeah, bitches!  I'm using bitcoin every chance I get.

Oh no, have you been hacked for realsies???@@@###!

Lol, I think he just locked down the account and left in a tizzy.  Don't worry, he'll be back in a couple of days, if that.  He can't get enough of this place.  Usually he starts another account before abandoning his red-tagged ones, so he may already be posting as I type.

This latest debacle makes his personal text ironic to the point of being absolutely hilarious.
