Winner is MrRandom!  Smiley

Thank you. I am sending you a private message with my bitbar address.

I bought 100kFTC here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=183264 with all positive feedback, so trade in confidence Smiley
2622  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How many Bitcoins in a BitBar? on: May 03, 2013, 06:28:31 PM
.000000000000001 BTC to 1 BTB

It's an altchain released about 24 hours ago with 0 dedicated services and no real purpose other than pump-and-dump. The only think keeping it's price up right now is mindless hype and insane speculation. Assuming this thread is a discussion of the "true" value of one BitBar, I say it is effectively worthless given current conditions since you can't actually use it for anything other than speculation yet.

An exchange is in the works.

I have high hopes for this coin.

2624  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / 0.5 bitcoin - how much bitbar will you offer me? on: May 03, 2013, 06:17:50 PM
Start your bids gentlemen. I will close this in 2 hours from now.

New condition: bids must increase by at least 0.05 bitbar

What are the transaction costs when sending these?
2626  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Buying Bitbars - I will buy small amounts or large amounts (trusted forum buyer) on: May 03, 2013, 05:39:02 PM
Please pm your offers. I can pay in Litecoin or Bitcoin.

I am a trusted buyer, see this topic (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=183264) where I bought over several thousand dollars worth of feathercoins.

Thank you.
2627  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [WTS] 5 BitBars for BTC, multiple slots of 5 BitBars available on: May 02, 2013, 11:16:58 PM

Does it exist? If not, I wonder if Dreamwatcher has any intentions of creating one  Smiley

This coin seems a lot different from the standard Bitcoin clone that is floating around. I bought a bunch, but not sure if I even got good price as they seem ridiculously rare.

I wonder if you will ever get tired of pumping shitty altcoins. Don't you have enough money to stop being the spokesperson for crap currency soon?

Huh?  Huh

I didn't even buy any CHN coins or MIN coins? Most altcoins I don't buy actually...

I have had a couple of thoughts about all the new coins, and I think the best answer is to open up a second CCE site for new or low use coins.

Cryptocoinexplorer 2  ?

Cryptocoinexplorer JR. ?

I have bought the altcointech.com  .net  .org and .info domains as I want to stat a technical wikki for Alt coins.

What do you think?

Perhaps have new coins on the second site and only promote ones to the main site if they stand the test of time? We're definitely seeing way more new coins than normal...

Or you could just them all on your main site.

Either way it is beneficial to the alt currency community  Smiley

BitBar is a lot different to other coins. If you get 1 or 2 BitBars that is a lot. That is why the name is bars and not coins...

People will mine less, the difficulty will drop = reward increases.

The market will determine the equilibrium reward and price
2633  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BitBar New POW-POS scrypt CryptoCoin on: May 02, 2013, 09:56:10 PM
Right, I'm sure 0.00000001 BTB as block reward and 0.00000000 BTB as transaction fees will cover mining costs. Grin

Does the reward decrease to zero? Can anyone graph the reward per block?

reward is like NVC. it will rise again, if difficulty drops. reward is function of difficulty, not time.
according to balthazar:

 reward = 100 / (diff ^ 1/6) for novacoin ,

so here in BTB  it should be:

  reward = 1 / (diff ^ 1/6) .

So BTB should roughly be valued at 100x of NVC? which makes the fair value 3 BTC per 1 BTB?

In a perfect scenario, I guess so. But there are way too many variables to make such an extrapolation.

If anything, BTB should be valued more, since this is a no pre-mine version of NVC.

That makes sense. But I think the low reward is going to give some troubles. I think people will find it hard to grasp why such a new coin can be worth more than a bitcoin, which has been around for so long.

The coin value is determined purely by demand and supply.

I've been getting a few pm's and have a good idea of the fair market rate. Message me privately to discuss please.

I can't believe what is happening !!! people is buying this shit , you know the funny thing that this coin got 1 FTC= 1 BTC as hight today just when BTC-e add it .

I am not trying to disrespect anyone here , but are people this stupid !!!! it really makes me think about the hole thing here.  if it is going to be like this I will point some of my rigs to some feathercoin pool mine the shit out of it and sell it to these idiots for some profit as long as they are willing to pay . I do not care for the fucking coin. let me make some decent profit. pump it and dump it .

and  I am so surprised LTC network went from 14,500,000 kh/s to 10,847,767 kh/s .

lol you don't understand how a free market works.

I guess it's similar to people who don't understand how a painting is valued at $20,000,000. It is called supply and demand, perceived value etc.

2639  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BREAKING: Feathercoin just hit BTC-e on: May 02, 2013, 05:54:16 PM
Currently the supply of FC is less than the supply of LTC.  FC is not 4x LTC yet.

Very good point. And it will take months for FTC to even match LTC's coin supply let alone pass it.
