Perez is getting close to the victory by every lap we are leaving behind. That safety car was like a golden opportunity for Perez to take. Verstappen can't close in on him much right now. I don't think Red Bull would prevent a rivalry between these two drivers. Therefore this will be a completely deserved victory for Perez if he doesn't mess up things in the remaining laps.

Leclerc is even 16 seconds behind Verstappen and this look is really terrible for Ferrari. They still can't give Leclerc a fast car which makes it very difficult for Leclerc to fight with Red Bull drivers. He is under threat by Alonso for podium as well.
2642  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: April 30, 2023, 12:04:07 PM
Manchester City are still the favourite for the Champions League title by a big odd margin. It isn't surprising to see at all as it has been the same since beginning of the first games here. They are going to need to get past technically the biggest obstacle among the teams remaining in the tournament. Real Madrid are literally the king around here as you know.

Manchester City were strong in the previous season as well maybe but now there is still a significant level of difference. Haaland's impact is big and he will be their best card against Real Madrid to have their revenge.

There is a really big derby game today between Besiktas and Galatasaray. Having an advantage of playing home for Besiktas is making thing a little more difficult for Galatasaray. This is one of the most critical games for Galatasaray thinking of the league title. If they somehow manage to win this game I think that will be it and they will become the champions of this season.

However their job is really difficult here. Because Besiktas are also in a great form these days and they haven't lost a single game for a long time. Even a draw here would be for the benefit of Fenerbahce. Therefore Galatasaray had better play their best attacking game in this one.
2644  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: April 30, 2023, 08:10:02 AM
It wasn't the kind of a game I expected to see from Roma and Milan yesterday but at least we watched some goals in the critical time period of the game. I would have waited for these teams to be more competitive as they are fighting for a spot in the Champions League. Maybe Milan players had their minds on the semi finals of the Champions League in which they are taking part.

But as they don't have a very big probability to win the Champions League title they had better keep their focus high in the Serie A while there aren't many games left. Getting a draw in an away game against Roma isn't bad but they could have performed better anyway.
2645  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: April 30, 2023, 08:04:00 AM
Fulham's winning odd looks like very high now. Of course Manchester City are highly favourite side but I don't know. Fulham aren't the worst team in the league and they are playing home as well. Maybe they deserve a little lower odd than this. However honestly I don't expect Manchester City to make any point loss in this game. They have captured a huge advantage by beating Arsenal the last time.

It is time for pushing it to the limit and taking the lead from them as well. Most probably it would be a temporary lead for Manchester City on this week though. Because I think that Arsenal will put an end to this bad streak by beating Chelsea which are in a terrible shape.
2646  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: April 30, 2023, 07:56:37 AM
This time, I am quite optimistic that Barcelona will win their match against Real Betis. yes, they will win the game over Betis.    ~snip~

It looks like you were right about your prediction. I wasn't expecting a win by a this much big score though. But of course the red card Betis got made things easier for Barcelona. I wish Betis scored a goal at least because I bet on both teams to score.  Grin  Maybe they would have been able to score that goal if it weren't for the red card. That incident dropped their morale level a lot.

After losing to Vallecano away previously this win must be very satisfying for Barcelona. They are getting close to the league title anyway but it is better to keep the gap with Real Madrid as high as possible for a bigger victory of course.
2647  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2022/23 Season on: April 30, 2023, 07:50:17 AM
There was some serious level of drop in Roma's performance against Milan yesterday. I mean that they were able to create many goal opportunities of course but there was a big problem on finding the target generally. However I wouldn't like to judge them in a bad way by looking at only this game. In the end they have come a long way to reach this round of the Europa League.

Their fight against Feyenoord was also fierce and made a great comeback in the last minutes of the second leg. Their job isn't easy at all for qualifying for the Champions League through their Serie A position. Therefore I expect them to continue to play fully focused in the Europa League as well. I'm still favouring them to eliminate Leverkusen by a close score gap.
2648  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: April 29, 2023, 02:21:04 PM
Brighton are doing well against Wolves right now. As you know they also have a significant level of chance for qualifying for the Conference League or Europa League. Because not only the gap is not big but also Brighton have some missing games to play later on. Currently they are 2-0 ahead in their game and they had better secure the win to the end of the game.

Liverpool - Aston Villa - Tottenham trio had better be more careful in their remaining games. Especially Tottenham had better do so because their recent form is way worse than the other two teams. This is a very disappointing season for Tottenham fans.

Leclerc started as the leader to the sprint race maybe but he still couldn't keep the lead I'm afraid. Perez waited for the right time and it didn't take him a very long time to overtake Leclerc later on. Verstappen seemed slower than my expectations. I don't know why he has been in the background for a while at this weekend. Of course his performance hasn't been bad.

But still people expect more from Verstappen in the end. I thought that maybe it was limited to the qualifying session only but the sprint race also didn't change anything. The big race is still a much longer one so I'm still waiting for him to do better than this. But honestly I wouldn't say no to seeing a different winner just to make the season more fun.

There are rumors that Jude Bellingham has finally chosen Real Madrid over the other clubs; Liverpool and Manchester city. Liverpool emerged favorites to sign earlier this season, but they dramatically pulled out of the race to sign him. If the deal goes through, I think this will be a good addition to their team. He has a good work rate. This is one dirty player. He can sit, roam around, and make third man runs. He will bring physicality to that midfield. Honestly that’s a tactical edge to Real Madrid in the El classicos.

It looks like Real Madrid are the closest team to sign Bellingham indeed. However I haven't heard it like Liverpool and Manchester City are the only other teams being interested in him. There are rumours about a couple of more big teams to have plans to make an offer for him. But I don't know the final look would change much anyway.

Because Bellingham has had Real Madrid in his mind for a long time. His father was more a fan of Liverpool instead and he also tried to convince him as far as I know. But Bellingham doesn't seem to have any intention to join Liverpool side. I wouldn't recommend it either because Liverpool won't be a part of the Champions League next season obviously.
2651  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: April 29, 2023, 02:03:11 PM
I think losing against Lens by 3-0 closed the gate for Monaco to compete with Lens and Marseille for a Champions League spot now. Because Monaco are 5 points away from Lens now and it isn't going to be easy at all for them to catch up with them on the remaining game weeks. At least Monaco's bad performance in the previous game is making me think in this way.

Right now there is only a competition between Lens and Marseille for the second position. That position is pretty valuable you know because the team finishing the season there join the Champions League without playing qualification games. If Marseille don't lose much thing in their concentration level I will be favouring them to make it.
2652  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: April 29, 2023, 09:23:15 AM
Dortmund continue to disappoint their fans and the people who want them to become the champions this season. This has been the biggest league title chance for Dortmund considering the recent years. But they are throwing it every time they take the lead in the standings. Bochum wasn't an opponent they would have this big difficulties normally. They even won against them 3-0 home before.

However they couldn't be that much effective in offense this time. It feels like there is no way Bayern Munich can lose points against Hertha in Allianz Arena. I'm afraid they would take the lead back from Dortmund by the end of the week.
2653  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: April 29, 2023, 09:14:21 AM
Liverpool have made some improvement in their results in the recent times. They finally are able to start a winning streak and this can be helpful for them to qualify for the Europa League at least. And tomorrow they are going to play a really important game for this against Tottenham in Anfield. Honestly both teams are bad at defending these days.

They both concede goals nearly in every game recently and have difficulties in having a clean sheet in a game. However Tottenham are in a much worse form these days. They had serious difficulties in drawing with Manchester United home the last time. I think that Liverpool have a significant chance to win this one.

There is a really good opportunity for Inter to take advantage of on this game week. While Roma and Milan are facing each other there might be a chance for them to make it to even top four or climb one position in the standings at least. However Inter also have a difficult job to do. They are going to host Lazio and this is another competitive game of the week at the same time.

Inter don't have a good history against them in this season. Lazio beat them by 3-1 home before. Currently they are in much better condition than Inter as well. I'm favouring both teams to score for this game as well and it feels like we can have a draw at the end like 1-1 or 2-2.
2655  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: April 29, 2023, 08:52:53 AM
There is a game between Barcelona and Betis in Camp Nou tonight. It is hard to believe in Barcelona to win this game honestly. The result they got against Vallecano was also a loss last week and it wouldn't make surprised to see them losing points again. They are already comfortable in the lead and for the league title. They just don't see any necessity to show their best performance from now on.

On the other hand Betis would really make use of a decent result here. I'm still not sure if they can beat Barcelona away. Technically it isn't a too low possibility considering that they did it last season. But it depends on how Barcelona will perform. A possible win would be great for Betis about their Europa League chase.

Stephen Curry is trying his best to have his team in the quarter finals. They have had big issues against Sacramento so far. But I must admit that Sacramento were pretty impressive in the regular season. It is lovely to watch them putting up a solid fight against Warriors in this round. However it looks like Warriors have captured a nice advantage now.

Because they are 3-2 ahead and the next game is in their own court. I don't doubt Sacramento that they will do their best in this game here as well. But Curry and his friends can finish the job by concentrating fully on it before their fans by 4-2.

Leclerc's performance seemed nice in the first practice session maybe. But I still can't fully trust Ferrari on one hand. Because the season hasn't started well for them and they don't seem convincing yet. But my hope is that Leclerc finishes the race on podium at least. It is up to Ferrari's preparing the right strategies for Leclerc as well. Because they haven't seemed very good at it so far.

Ferrari couldn't make the necessary amount of improvement in the car either. They are still far away from being in a race with Red Bull for being the top team. Even Aston Martin have made a huge improvement despite being terrible last season.

The latest rumors about the coach's return are blowing, Real Madrid is reportedly starting to approach Zinedine Zidane again when Ancelotti leaves Real Madrid. Maybe some people are already familiar with this rumor, but this news is increasingly reported by various media sources. As we know Ancelotti's fate is now increasingly threatened if he cannot deliver a single title this season for Real Madrid and if Real Madrid re-appoints Zidane as coach, of course that will also be a good thing for Los Blancos.

We still remember how Zidane managed to lead Real Madrid to win the champions league for three consecutive seasons and I think that is a very difficult record for any coach to break. However, after that, Zidane began to be inconsistent and lost several titles with Real Madrid, be it the league or UCL, which made Ancelotti replace his position since the 21/22 season until now. But what is clear is that if Zidane does return to Santiago Bernabeu, I hope this time he will have a better strategy and tactics than before to make Real Madrid continue to win in league or European competitions.

Really? I thought that Zidane would be closer to signing for PSG instead. Because he hasn't had much intention to sign for a normal team instead of a national team. He has been eyeing the position at France but I don't know if France have any plans to part ways with Deschamps for now. He still has a contract that lasts until 2026. France haven't been doing very bad so far either.

Real Madrid had really great years with Zidane but I have my doubts about his return to the team again. He has already achieved many titles with the team not only in the La Liga but also the Champions League.

The new game week is starting with a Bochum - Dortmund game tonight. From now on Dortmund are in a really critical period because they need to win all of the rest of their games as of now unless Bayern Munich continue to make mistakes. However while Bayern Munich have only the Bundesliga left I expect them to be more focused on the league title.

I know they lost to Mainz anyway but then they were really tired and unhappy with the result they got in the Champions League. As a result I hope to see Dortmund winning today by showing a solid performance.

Arsenal have become a big disappointment about their title goal in only a few weeks. They got three draws in the games they could have won normally. The defensive issues caused them big issues. If they won those games and lost points to Manchester City only then it wouldn't have been a big problem for them. But now they are on the brink of losing the lead.

I still hope to see Arsenal winning the rest of their games at least to maintain their championship chance as much as possible. They should definitely be winning against Chelsea up next. But it feels like Manchester City will win their missing games and not lose the lead after taking it back until the end.
