It was a really great show by Arsenal against Barcelona indeed. Even though it was a friendly game they seemed really determined to beat their opponent. I feel like we are going to watch a really strong Arsenal this season. I just hope to see them being consistent throughout the season. They were so close to becoming the champions the last time but inconsistency on the final weeks finished them off.
There are quite many talented players in the squad now. There is a lack of experienced player though so I hope it doesn't become a serious problem for them. I'm curious about how good they can balance the Premier League and Champions League as well. The expectations should be higher for sure.

As for Sadio Mane, he has given the green light to Al Nassr and it looks like negotiations will take place this week.

Choupo-Moting should definitely stay of course. He can still be a really decent replacement for the main striker they will transfer soon. He isn't just the player for big games maybe but he can still be useful in some Bundesliga games and cup games as well. Tuchel isn't very keen on keeping Mane so it would be the best for Mane to leave while there is an opportunity. I wonder if he would think of returning to Europe later but I don't feel like that. Mane can just make a lot of money for quite many years in Saudi Arabia and then retire. If he continued to play for Liverpool he would have still been one of the appreciated players. But now things are just not going as he imagined at Bayern Munich. |

Emiliano Martinez has started to be rumoured with Inter these days. You know they have just lost Onana to Manchester United. They need to fill his place with a decent goalkeeper. Martinez can be a really good candidate for that. I think he is a pretty decent goalkeeper and his World Cup performance was also impressive.
However he has a contract until 2027 now. Aston Villa wouldn't like to lose him just like that. Inter had better hope that the player becomes very eager to join them. Technically Martinez should be like that because he will be the main goalkeeper of a much bigger team in the end.

I think the exchange between Manchester City and Barcelona where there were rumors about exchanging de Jong for Bernardo Siva won't happen because does Barcelona really need Silva? He is good of course, but currently Barcelona has several offensive players with decent quality. But what I miss is this one star player that is above all else.
Technically Barcelona don't include an attacking midfielder in their usual formation. There is no such player in their squad as well. Bernardo Silva is mainly an attacking midfielder so Barcelona really don't need him specifically now. Of course he can play as a right winger as well. But there are so many alternatives on both wings at the same time. While they have Raphinha and Dembele in the first place they don't need another big right winger transfer. This will just have to keep one of those players outside of the starting lineup if they bring Bernardo Silva to the team. I don't think Xavi wants that now. |

Bernardo Silva should definitely be kept by Manchester City for now. He is still not old at all and his performance has been impressive lately as well. He is a very useful midfielder in every tournament they play. He is a versatile player as well so he can play as right winger and at the centre of the midfield too.
He is a regular player in the starting lineup too so it is better for Manchester City to not make big changes especially there. At least until finding the right replacement for him I can say. He is 28 and still has 2 more years on his contract. After this season maybe things can get more serious about Silva situation.

Think about the unthinkable!  What if Osimhen receives an offer from Saudi Arabia? Has that yet happened? I think I read about it once but now that we seem to have entered a whole new level as the offer from Al-Hilal shows, I have no idea what Osimhen would say and even Napoli when they also get an irresistable offer from a Saudi club. For now I think the only personnel issues that are safe are those where the transfer window is actually not open anymore. Otherwise I think we could still see some huge surprises as an offer could be made any time and with any amount. Saudi Arabian teams can surely offer a deal for Osimhen as well. They can make a very satisfying salary offer to him too. But I don't think he would leave for Saudi Arabia at this young age. I mean at least he wouldn't think about that if such team offer a long term deal for him. But those teams should already know that he wouldn't accept that kind of a deal now. Maybe it would also be a one-year deal just as they offered to Mbappe. However it is still hard to predict that scenario. They are ready to pay an amount between 700-800 million euros to Mbappe for only one season. There is no reason for Mbappe not to accept that deal now in my opinion.
Of course he would like to play at Real Madrid but this won't happen until next season as it seems. He can take advantage of the season between like this rather than staying for getting that loyalty bonus which is worth way lower than the amount of money he can make at Al Hilal.
Mbappé won't extend his contract with PSC even though he stayed at psg because his contract with PSG expired but now that he has received a big offer from the Saudi League, he might move to Saudi Arabia for a year for sure. I think Barcelona still should make two transfers to specific areas. These areas are defensive midfield and centre-forward. Because in the defensive midfield there is still only Oriol Romeu. Of course players like de Jong and Kessie can also play there. However their main positions are central midfield so it is better to use them there.
For the other position there is only Lewandowski there. Barcelona don't need to spend so much money for bringing a striker. They can even loan someone who can be useful in Lewandowski's absence. Signing a backup striker should be even the priority for them.

They were away from their consistency and productivity than their times with Lewandowski. It isn't a thing that they can do with a striker like Choupo-Moting or using Mane as a striker.
Kane is just the kind of a striker they would make use of now. He is one of the closest centre-forwards to Lewandowski in terms of role. Kane can even be more helpful for his teammates as well. Because he likes to make assists in addition to his scoring skills as well.

It looks like Napoli are quite likely to keep Osimhen this summer. At least for now. Because there is no rumour regarding him to sign for another team these days. However there might be a chance for PSG to think of bringing him depending on Mbappe's situation. When they lose a player like Mbappe they need to bring another top player to try to make up for that.

Technically he needs to do that because Henderson and Fabinho are both leaving the team. There will be a need to make more transfers to the midfield.
