Because Rabiot and Pogba are injured and their return date is unknown. I can't believe Pogba managed to get injured again in July somehow. He is useless for Juventus but they won't be able to sell him this summer probably either due to his injury. It is a nightmare for them.
Pogba was injury prone and he will not able to play in juventus anymore. He must accept it if he may need to leave from juventus. Juventus is also keen to sell him for some money.
The club is still focusing in swap vlahovic for lukaku at this moment. Juventus really needs to replace vlahovic with lukaku as soon as possible before the opening match of serie a.

https://www.juvefc.com/latest-on-juventus-lukaku-how-allegri-is-trying-to-lure-chelsea-striker/

Juventus were after Kessie according to rumours for example but he has become another player to sign for a Saudi Arabian team. Gravenberch was on the agenda for them in July so maybe they would return to him now. They had better be faster than now. They shouldn't start the season with a problematic midfield.

Juventus' biggest weakness has been their midfield for a long time. This really doesn't change. Signing one midfielder might not even be enough for them while Rabiot and Pogba are both injured. They are Juventus so they should be able to solve this problem by using their influence.

Honestly I was expecting Manchester City to win this Community Shield title one way or another. I waited for a good competition at the beginning of the season of course. Because this was the first official game for both teams so I didn't expect so many goals. We were about to find out which side was readier than the other one.

Palmer's goal was really lovely and I thought the game was going to end by 1-0. But it was unbelievable that there was a stoppage time of more than 10 minutes and Trossard scored the equalizer in the last moments. This was the turning point for Arsenal as they won by 4-1 on penalties.

Courtois is one of the best goalkeepers in Europe now. I can't say he is old for a goalkeeper either despite being 31 years old. I won't be expecting Real Madrid to wait for him to leave for no reason. Courtois must also be very happy to be a part of this team now. There is a long-term contract and I won't expect anything unusual happens for more years.

The thing I would wait for the most would be to see him getting an offer from Saudi Arabia. But I think he will turn it down for now even if he gets one this summer. But after a couple of more years maybe he would start to think of going there.

If Kane transfer isn't really going to happen then it is unfortunate news for Tottenham side more than Bayern Munich. Because they will lose him as free agent just because Levy has become stubborn to have him for one last season. It was even said that the owner gave an ultimatum to him. If it is true then how can't he listen to the owner?

Bayern Munich will need to find a new striker then and they had better hurry. They wouldn't like to have another season without a credible striker. Choupo-Moting is a name who is good for only the Bundesliga and even there he wasn't that much impressive to me.

I agree about Dembele. He hasn't been able to satisfy the expectations and I think it is a good thing that PSG are signing him by activating his release clause. I don't even know why Xavi was still satisfied with his performance. While he isn't able to play even in the most part of the season what is it you see anyway?

Now it is time for PSG to deal with Dembele's being injury-prone. Neymar and Dembele have the same characteristics on this topic so they had better hope not to face serious problems about it this season.

Juventus have been quite silent in the transfer window so far. I see only Weah as a new transfer. I think this isn't good at all for them. I don't believe their current squad is decent enough. There are still weaknesses to be strengthened. Especially central midfield position needs some transfers now.

Because Rabiot and Pogba are injured and their return date is unknown. I can't believe Pogba managed to get injured again in July somehow. He is useless for Juventus but they won't be able to sell him this summer probably either due to his injury. It is a nightmare for them.

Bayern Munich got problems with finding a good sticker and a player to finish balls for them that's the reason for Tuchel to ask the team to hire Kane. However, in the last time when they hire Sadio Mane, he had a perfect performance in Liverpool and scored many goals in that team but when he joined Bayern Munich he couldn't have a good performance that's why I think there is a chance to see the same story about Harry Kane.
Even though Harry Kane could perform better than Sadio Mane in Bayern Munich but it is absolutely possible to see the same story again. Just to remind about Lionel Messi poor first season with PSG. Even a top world class footballer could fail to adapt fast so they have to wait and give him a second chance if ever that happened.
Tuchel wants an excellent number 9 to drove the team to victories, this point is totally agreed by Bayern Munich staff, otherwise recruiting a number 6 isn't considered as a priority to them although Tuchel insisted also on that point.

Of course there is no guarantee for any player to start playing amazingly after they join their new team. But when it comes to Messi's situation it was a little different as well. I mean he was used to playing according to Barcelona's game plan for long years. However PSG's understanding of game plan was way different than Barcelona so Messi didn't adapt quickly.

Because he was used to getting passes and distributing to his other teammates to create dangerous attacks and goal chances. But he wasn't able to apply the same things at PSG in his first times. But after some time he started to get used to it and performed really great.

Eddie Howe believes in going slow. And strengthening the team gradually makes it last longer. Perhaps this is why Eddie Howe is in no rush to strengthen his squad. I wouldn't have high hopes for Newcastle in the Champions League next season. But expect this team to fight for the top four of the Premier League table.
I think Eddie Howe long-term approach to Newcastle United's ownership and management emphasises gradual squad stabilisation and investment in emerging potential. While their Champions League aspirations may be doable in the future, success in both home and European competitions will depend on gradually strengthening the team. Newcastle voyage in the forthcoming season may be shaped by Eddie Howe cautious attitude and the management confidence in him.

Newcastle can't be competitive for the Champions League much for now. Maybe they are one of the richest teams in Europe but they still can't make their squad one of the bests yet. It isn't an easy task to convince big names into their squad despite qualifying for the Champions League. They need to maintain consistency in the Premier League first.

Once they convince bigger names with their performance then they will able to bring that kind of players easier. Those players are already playing for top teams in the end. Newcastle will need to give them a reason why to join them instead.

Barcelona need to have a long way to go before reaching the level to be able to compete for the Champions League title. It might take many years for them to reach that level. Because they are technically in a rebuilding phase with very young talents. This kind of teams need a long period of time to get a good level of experience and have full chemistry as well.

Xavi will need to go step by step but most probably he doesn't have any choice other than reaching last 16 this season. The board still don't extend his contract because they want to see what he will do this season first. If we see the same struggling Barcelona in the group stage then Xavi might not be able to stay any longer.

It looks like Inter have lost Scamacca to Atalanta in the last minute. I'm also quite surprised with that because I didn't even hear Atalanta's name until the moment I learned about this. Atalanta are paying 25 million euros plus 5 million euros bonuses to sign him. Inter's waiting too much caused them to lose their target to another team.
Intermilan had been signing marcus thuram. Signing scamacca was not inter's priority at this moment. The club is putting sommer as the main priority as a replacement for onana which already joined in MU. Atalanta really needs a striker at this moment.
That's why the club is not taking a long time to decide whether the club gonna try to get him or not. Intermilan has another priority that must be completed as soon as possible.

Yeah there is Thuram now of course. But as Inter lost Dzeko and Lukaku both at the same time it looks like they want to fill both of their places in the team. One of them is done already with Thuram's arrival. The other one was supposed to be Lukaku but Inter withdrew from the race after hearing about Juventus' negotiations with Lukaku as well.

Scamacca has been lost to Atalanta now so I'm curious about who would be their alternative to him. Sooner or later they would handle this transfer too.

Tchouameni is rumoured with some teams this summer but I don't expect him to go anywhere already now. Real Madrid think of him as a part of their future and we can understand this from his contract as well. Besides he played in most of the games in the La Liga in the previous season. He isn't an unnecessary player for the team now.

While Real Madrid are trying to make their midfield younger and credible they wouldn't give up on any of their young talents at the moment.

Unfortunately Hojlund has an injury according to reports and he will be out for a couple of weeks. I was excited to watch him at Manchester United from the beginning but it looks like I will have to wait for a little longer. Hopefully he doesn't miss many games as he would need to go training to reach match fitness as well.

The more he plays in official games the better he can improve his game in a shorter time. I have loved to watch his performance for Denmark so far. I would love to see the same effort in the Premier League as well. But the competition is at the highest level in this league so he will need to work really hard.

It is nice to see Scamacca back in the Serie A. He really belongs here. I remember how great his scoring skills were while he was playing for Sassuolo. I think Atalanta made a good signing after sending Hojlund as well. Because I expect Scamacca to be more productive to score goals for them.

After David Raya and David de Gea, Bono is also a candidate to be Bayern Munich's new goalkeeper according to rumours. But among all of these goalkeepers I would still favour de Gea to be the one to sign for them. I just can't see the other candidates at his level now. I know Bono impressed people in the last World Cup together with Livakovic.

But I don't think this is still good to be better than de Gea. I know de Gea's performance was better than now in the past but he is still a solid goalkeeper. I can't even remember the number of times he saved Manchester United by great saves in the recent times.
I still don't believe how De Gea was sent from Manchester United. I think Manchester United betrayed him. He was one of the best on the roster. The contract has not been extended and being the second baseman is not good for him. If he transfers to Bayern Munich, it will be a huge transfer for Bayern Munich. I think he is a better goalkeeper than the other candidates.

de Gea was actually keen on staying at Manchester United. But he didn't want to take a pay cut at the same time. Manchester United didn't want to give the amount of money he wanted anymore and that was the reason why he became free agent later. Otherwise de Gea was quite happy to be there.

A goalkeeper like de Gea shouldn't stay as free agent for a long time. Hopefully Bayern Munich or some other top European team act quicker than Saudi Arabian teams. Because I don't want to see him leaving Europe yet as he is a really quality goalkeeper and his age is also not that old for a goalkeeper yet.
1735  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: August 05, 2023, 09:02:57 AM
Sevilla are a quite interesting team that they can win the Europa League title even when they are having a bad season generally. I really don't know how they can be this successful there even in this kind of situation. There are big candidates to win that title except them as well in the end. But they somehow collect themselves and give their 100% to the tournament.

But despite winning the title in the previous season they still need to improve their La Liga performance on one hand. Because previously they were quite bad and started to get positive results quite late in the season. This team need to be able to play for top 4 as much as possible.
1736  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: August 05, 2023, 08:47:08 AM
PSG are about to create a new trio in the attacking line with Dembele and Goncalo Ramos additions. These are the first steps of a big change at this team after Messi's departure. There is more to come after Mbappe leaves next summer most probably. Even when they had Messi, Mbappe and Neymar at the same time it didn't work out well for the Champions League.

Therefore I think change is good in this kind of situations. Who knows maybe the new version of this team in Luis Enrique's lead can do much better things. The team are getting younger with these transfers in the recent times too. I'm curious about their Champions League performance this season.

So you think when the attacking line consisted of Mbappe, Messi and Neymar and it was not enough to win the Champions League that they must change the attacking line in order to have a chance to win it? Isn't it possible that the team has more and other problems than the attacking line?

Dembele isn't better than Mbappe or Messi and we will have to see whether he is missing most of the season or whether he is fit and available.

The PSG experiment has shown that you can buy the Ligue 1 title with money so to say, but you can't buy the Champions League title.

Having one of the best attacking lines doesn't guarantee the Champions League title for any them. I also agree with that. I don't believe the main reason behind the failure was that trio of course. Neymar was leaving Messi and Mbappe alone for a long time because of having lasting injuries maybe but they are still not the main reason.

The main reason has always been related to the understanding of management here. This team hasn't been managed very well so far and it has been only able to achieve domestic titles the most. If the other teams were more competitive in the Ligue 1 then they would have big struggles here as well.
1737  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: August 04, 2023, 11:14:17 PM
Chelsea to win the Premier League title? It is a really far possibility for now. We need to be realistic now. Chelsea had a very poor season and they are going to try to collect themselves new. Pochettino can hopefully be the savior for them this season. Even if they are seen in the fight for top four during this season it would still be a serious progress for them.

While Manchester City are in this condition it is really difficult for any other team to make it to the title. I know Arsenal did a great job during most of the previous season. But it is hard to expect that from Chelsea for now without seeing their new season look.
1738  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: August 04, 2023, 11:09:08 PM
I understand Roma that their priority is to maintain current squad integrity. After that they want to make some decent additions to the squad to get stronger. But they never spend a huge deal of money for a transfer. Yeah there have been really only free transfers made by them so far. But there is still another whole month for the transfer window to be closed.

They made really good transfers last summer and most of them were free transfers again. They are again aiming to close another transfer window with the minimum number of money spent. We will see whether it will be enough to finish a season in top four finally.
1739  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: August 04, 2023, 11:03:11 PM
Manchester City are continuing to strengthen their squad even more by new transfers. Gvardiol is set to sign for them officially and I have no doubt it won't take him much time to take his place in the starting lineup. He is a very talented young defender who deserves to play at the highest level now. No need to be surprised about why Leipzig wanted around 100 million euros for him.  Smiley

They don't need to make big changes in their starting lineup of course. But small touches like this can be really important to maintain success. But despite being an absolute favourite this is still the Champions League where it isn't easy to become champions repeatedly.
1740  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: August 04, 2023, 08:46:50 AM
Alvaro Morata has been one of the most rumoured players to leave at Atletico Madrid. The rumours have been coming from everywhere like from European teams to Saudi Arabian teams. But still there is update on that lately. Felix's returning to the team has raised these rumours. Felix is also in these rumours so maybe one of these strikers can really leave before the transfer window closes.

I don't think Felix would be signed permanently considering Atletico Madrid ask too much money for his transfer fee. Maybe he would be loaned again. If he doesn't then I think Morata will be the leaving one. Maybe he would return to Italy if there is still interest from there.
