After hearing that Chelsea aren't interested in Vlahovic deal now I'm curious about what his future will be this summer. Because so far he hasn't been doing well with Allegri's system. The number of goals he scores has dropped down a lot. He just can't get enough chances in this system now.

Honestly I think he should still leave for another top team whose system would fit his playing style more. I would love to watch him at Real Madrid for example. Because Real Madrid are also in search of a striker and Mbappe is likely to join them only by next summer as it seems.

The opening game is Burnley - Manchester City. On paper of course this is a comfortable matchup for Manchester City. However this is the beginning of the season so let's see if we would see some struggles. They started the season with a sad loss against Arsenal in the Community Shield game. It would have been helpful for them to motivate themselves for this game more if they won.

But of course we are still talking about Manchester City. They should be able to win this game by one or two-goal gap probably. The gap would be even higher to me if we weren't at the beginning of the season. But who knows maybe I would still be wrong about it and we see a bigger win.

We are only two days away from an Athletic Bilbao - Real Madrid game. This is a quite tough game to start the season for Real Madrid honestly. If it wasn't an away game then maybe things might have been a little easier. When we look at their head-to-head history in this stadium Real Madrid have actually been quite successful.

But as this is the first game of the season it is still difficult to predict how Real Madrid will start. Their addition of Bellingham to the team is really important as he is a very skilled young midfielder who can be regular in the starting lineup. I wonder whether we will see him in this game. I think Real Madrid will manage to win this by one goal gap.

Liverpool have been trying to sign Romeo Lavia so far but now I see Chelsea are also in this race to steal him from Liverpool. It is said to be a 48 million pounds offer by Chelsea. This is quite a high amount of money so I wonder how true this rumour is about the transfer fee. But it looks like Liverpool are closer to signing him now.

Liverpool have been in need of a midfielder after losing Fabinho and Henderson both. Lavia is a quite young midfielder though but talented at the same time. I hope to see him adapting quickly and performing decenly. He is a defensive midfielder so he would play in Fabinho's position mostly.

Even before Lukaku joins Juventus the fans started to say how unhappy they are about this player and they said 'We don't want this player'. I think the transfer is not going to be done any time soon because Lukaku doesn't want to play in a team where they are unhappy about him and they can't have a good atmosphere there.
However, is clear yet and they can still have negotiations.

I don't know if Juventus officials would be affected negatively by the reaction of fans to this possible transfer. But if Lukaku doesn't want to go there because of that then there is no way such deal is happening. In this case it starts to look like Chelsea won't be able to get rid of Lukaku this summer which is bad news for them.

In Nkunku's absence Chelsea would make use of a striker transfer by giving Lukaku in a swap deal as well. Vlahovic is normally a decent candidate for them but let's see.

Chelsea - Liverpool is going to be a pretty interesting matchup on the first week of the new season already. It is pretty hard to predict which side would come out on top here. It is more like a tie game to me for now. Chelsea were much worse last season maybe but I hope not to see them the same this season too.

I believe Pochettino will do a better start for Chelsea. But still it is really difficult for them to win this game. Liverpool have made good progress in the recent rimes of last season. If they maintain that they wouldn't lose here easily. I expect a draw at the end and both teams to score as well.

Bayern Munich need to solve their centre-forward problem first and then I can be more confident about them. This was one of the main reasons why they struggled more than normal last season. They needed a striker like Lewandowski. Finally they have found their candidate who is Kane but there is still no agreement on transfer fee.

One way or another they should finish this job successfully. Apart from that they need a goalkeeper as I already said. In addition maybe they would make use of a winger as well after Mane's departure but it isn't priority of course.
1708  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: August 09, 2023, 10:22:10 PM
An offer like 110 million euros to Kane? Bayern Munich really want to complete this signing as soon as possible. But despite offering a lot of money for him Tottenham chairman is just continuing to resist. I don't know how long he can maintain this attitude against Bayern Munich. Because the offer is just getting better in time.

It looks like Bayern Munich are fully concentrated on signing only Kane for this season. Therefore I expect them to continue to make improved offers until some point. Hopefully they can be successful as well because Kane should leave that place already.

Barcelona can't spend too much money no matter how good their finances are now. Because they are still dealing with FFP. This is even why they are planning to add Cancelo to the squad on loan. They are trying to finish some transfers at low cost at least. If Barcelona were more careful with their expenses in the past the situation could have been more different.

They have spent a lot of money on players such as Dembele, Coutinho and so on and they couldn't send them for a profitable amount later on. They just need to be more careful about this as of now if they don't want to have this result again.

Nkunku is out until November 1 due to knee injury which is such a big disappointment for Chelsea. Now they are in a serious need of a striker. They should improve their attempts for signing Vlahovic by giving Lukaku in a swap deal plus cash. They should drop being stubborn about finding 35 million pounds cash too much now.

Because they can't rely on Lukaku at this moment. I know Jackson is another new striker signing but this still doesn't feel good for me. Chelsea should go for Vlahovic and finish the deal as soon as possible. I believe it will be worth sending Lukaku and having him instead.

Inter still haven't extended Inzaghi's contract despite having a wonderful season with multiple titles and qualifying for the Champions League finale as well. Maybe they want to wait because they want to see Inter fighting for the league title again. You know they couldn't do so in the previous season due to having a bad run for some time first.

He has one year left on his contract now. But I feel like this extension will happen during this season. Because I expect Inter to be a part of the title competition this time. In the last times they made progress about their defense and offense both.
1712  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: August 09, 2023, 09:08:31 AM
Neuer won't be available for a while and even when he returns I don't know if he can meet the expectations from now on. Sommer has also left the team so Bayern Munich are absolutely in need of a goalkeeper now. I still believe that David de Gea is the best option available in the market.

David Raya was also a target once but he has joined Arsenal now. There is no need to wait any longer for Bayern Munich as a result. de Gea is still a goalkeeper who can be trusted very much. He was still performing great for Manchester United until leaving the team.
1713  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Turkish Super League 2023/24 Season on: August 07, 2023, 04:23:40 PM
I think Galatasaray will definitely stay in the groups. The teams they played in the qualifiers are not as strong as Galatasaray. Also, Icardi and Zaha have been drafted and will play in the European matches. Players who add great strength to Galatasaray. We remember that important teams from the Turkish league were at UCL in the past. We want this success to continue.

I think so too. Galatasaray don't even need to show their best performance ever against this kind of teams. A decent performance level with high concentration should be enough for them to reach their main goal in the Champions League. After qualifying for the group stage they will just hope to have a little lucky draw to push even harder.

Galatasaray have a really good history in the Champions League back in the day. Why wouldn't we see another example?   Smiley

I can't blame Pep Guardiola for this result and say he is guilty of losing the game just because of not placing Haaland in another position or because of replacing Haaland and Palmer. Pep Guardiola is a wise coach and he proved it in the last season when they won many titles with this coach but still Guardiola can make mistakes, even the greatest coach in the world can make mistakes.
But I think the main reason for Macnshter City to lose that game was not Guardiola. But it was because of Haaland.

It doesn't matter who starts and who sits on the bench, both teams did portrayed their best on the pitch, I guessed the best team wins. Manchester city have achieved quite alot during Pep Guardiola incharged, losing do happen to other elite clubs, and Manchester city was not exempted. The game was tough for both sides, the cityzens keep domination while the gunners were extremely defensive, securing their territory with everything they had. Mikel Arteta boosts the moral of the fans with additional potential new players in the squad, I would say that Arsenal is quite different from the one we met.

I wonder why Guardiola didn't prefer Ederson for this game. Maybe he wasn't caring about this title that much but then I think he would have made a bigger rotation. Their opponent was Arsenal in the end so he should have started this game with all of their main players including the goalkeeper.

In that case this might have even affected the direction of this game much more. Ederson could have performed much better on penalty shoot-outs.
1715  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: August 07, 2023, 04:12:57 PM
Real Madrid still have nothing on the table when it comes to signing a striker. What is the reason for waiting this much to take action? It is clear that Mbappe isn't joining them this summer. So it would be much better for them to start to work on a striker transfer immediately. Because they will need to determine their target first and then prepare a bid for him.

These are things which are taking some good amount of time and there isn't much time left for the beginning of the new season. If Bayern Munich don't make any more offers for Kane then I'm curious about if Real Madrid would think of an offer for him.
1716  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: August 07, 2023, 04:04:23 PM
Barcelona must be dreaming by making a loan offer to Bernardo Silva. I see it normal if they do the same for Cancelo because Manchester City are already okay with sending him from the team. But when it comes to Bernardo Silva he is untouchable now. Manchester City have zero intention to sell him to another team now.

Therefore Barcelona had better look for someone else to fill Dembele's space in the team. Silva isn't the only player available in the market in the end. They should be able to find a player who isn't injury-prone like Dembele as well.
1717  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: August 07, 2023, 09:33:12 AM
Milan have spent 110 million euros on transfers already. But they have done this by spending this money on 6 players rather than 1 or 2. They don't like the idea of making one sensational transfer then I assume. They just want to strengthen multiple areas and increase the number of alternative players at the same time.

As far as I can see Pulisic, Loftus-Cheek and Chukwueze are the most impressive transfers. I don't have a wide knowledge about the other transfers. I can just criticize the Okafor transfer because he hasn't been a good scorer so far as the number of goals over the years isn't much good.
1718  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: August 07, 2023, 09:24:53 AM
I know this scenario very well. Manchester City would have some struggles at the first times of the season maybe. But after some weeks they would slowly start to dominate the league. It is all about getting fully ready for a new season. When they have full chemistry again it is just very difficult to stop Manchester City most of the time with this squad.

I'm just curious about whether there will be a team to be able to compete with them for the league title this time. Maybe Arsenal would be the most serious one about this topic again. They still seem quite strong. This might be the time they are really starting to be consistent in the Premier League.

Tottenham are still not letting Kane go despite having an offer like 100 million euros. This is a wonderful offer for Kane while he is 30 years old. They should have taken this offer already. This is the worst management ever by Tottenham. What will change when Kane plays one more season? Will Tottenham start winning titles magically?

I want to see Kane achieving some titles in his career as he deserves it very much. Tottenham are just blocking his way now. I would have already sold him if I were in their place and looked for other striker.
1720  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: August 07, 2023, 09:09:35 AM
Al-Ittihad have been reported to be preparing a huge offer for Mohamed Salah now. It is a deal of 60 million euros for Liverpool and 180 million euros for Salah for two years. This is really a similar deal to Benzema and Ronaldo but the thing is I don't expect either Liverpool or Salah to accept this deal yet.

Because Liverpool have newly signed a contract extension with him. It clearly shows that Salah wants to play for them for a longer time period. But he has 2 years on the contract so maybe after one season he might start thinking of going to Saudi Arabia.
