Barcelona couldn't make the kind of a start they would like maybe. But I believe in them to make up for this next time. Their opponent is going to be Cadiz in Camp Nou. We should be able to see them getting their first win without big issues. But maybe the win would be by two goals the most. Because for now Barcelona don't seem that much great with finishing.

They are newly warming up for the season in terms of this and in time I will be expecting bigger victories from them. To do that Lewandowski need to start meeting the expectations of course. He is the goal source of this team currently. His having possible problems would affect the team deeply.

Chelsea are said to be close to agreeing a deal with Romeo Lavia. I wasn't expecting to see them going for him as well after signing Caicedo by spending a lot of money like 115 million pounds. I don't know whether they need another defensive midfielder right now. Because they already have many options in this position.

I would like to see Lavia going to Liverpool instead honestly. Because if he also joins Chelsea I have big doubts that he would have so many chances in the starting eleven while there are too many alternatives. But if he goes to Liverpool his chance will be much higher.

I didn't like what I saw from Manchester United there. Especially in the second half they just handed over the dominance to Wolves. Still they were able to score in the same half and win by 1-0 surprisingly. Because I wasn't waiting for the Red Devils to just get the win with this poor level of performance.

Lisandro Martinez wasn't good at defending in this game and it didn't take him a long time to be replaced with Lindelof as well. Manchester United really can't beat Wolves easily in most of their head-to-head games. This was the first game of the season as well so it is harder to be sure of anything. At least they got 3 points.

I don't see any news related to Osimhen's contract extension. But maybe the sides are close to reaching an agreement. I assume Osimhen was waiting to see if he would get any offer from a top team this summer but there is none so far. Then as long as Napoli meet his demands he could really extend with the team.

This will help Napoli put a release clause onto his contract as it has been rumoured as well. It should be around 150-160 million euros. This would at least increase the chance of Napoli to keep Osimhen in the team for long years. Because any team would think twice before paying that much for a player.

Atletico Madrid just met the expectations by beating Granada in the first game of the season. Keeping the score at 2-1 until the final moments was quite risky maybe but they still secured the 3-1 win by a last minute goal. Morata started the season with a goal which is a good thing for him. This should improve his self-confidence.

I always think Morata is an overrated player. But I would still like to see him proving me wrong in this season. Besides he was expected to leave the team for an Italian team this summer but it looks like there is no such thing anymore. Felix was in the subs as well so I wonder how his future will be.

Mbappe is expected to play against Toulouse four days later. He was out of squad first but thankfully he is back in it again. Because he would be a big loss for PSG if they don't give him a chance while they still have him in the team. There has been a serious tension between sides maybe but it looks like things are better now.

Mbappe would play in Asensio or Lee Kang-in's place in this game most probably. He is already not playing completely like a winger or centre-forward. He is more like the key player of the team who gets the most amount of passes and creates big goal opportunities by using his one-on-one skills.

There is a quite lovely game on the same week as well. Leverkusen are going to host Leipzig. You know Leipzig have made a great start to the season by destroying Bayern Munich 3-0 in the Super Cup. This should be a big morale source for the players to motivate themselves better for this fixture.

Leverkusen are the favourite according to bookmakers by 2.45 while Leipzig have 2.80 odds. The gap is a small one as it should be. Leverkusen hosted Leipzig 7 times in their history and barely managed to win for the first time which was their last meet as well. But it feels like Leipzig won't lose this one so I'm thinking of betting on double chance on them.

Napoli and Juventus have been given a close chance for the Serie A title by bookmakers. But I don't think the same as them honestly. Maybe Napoli played much extra in the previous season but Juventus were still not good enough. Even without the punishment of points they would have still stood far away from Napoli.

I don't feel like there will be a big change happening for Juventus this season either. They haven't even brought many new players. They have just made some of the loanees permanent members of the team. However I believe they need new players for some areas to get stronger.

Manchester United - Wolves is going to be the closing game of the first week. Manchester United are clearly the favourite by far of course. Hojlund has picked up an injury before and I don't see a certain time for him to recover. But he is expected to return soon. However he isn't expected to play today against Wolves.

Rashford will have a big responsibility for his team starting with this game this season as well. His contribution level last season was just enormous. He is able to contribute highly in terms of goals and assists both. Hopefully he will continue from where he left. I expect a goal from him and the Red Devils should be winning this.

I didn't understand them as well. There was a quite visible problem on finishing the attacks with goals. I hope to see Lewandowski performing much better in the coming games. Barcelona's start to the previous season was similar to this one though. But the continuation of it had better be similar to that as well.

I was hoping to see Lyon winning last night. Lyon had a really good head-to-head game history against them in away games in the recent times. But this time they faced Strasbourg on the first week and they couldn't maintain the unbeaten streak against them. After it came to 2-0 it was just over for them already.

If Lacazette was able to make a good start maybe he could have helped his team get one point at least. But I don't keep only him responsible for this result of course. Lyon had a huge dominance especially in the second half but couldn't turn this into points.

Napoli are going to have a comfortable game on the first week of the new season. It is an away game against Frosinone. They are one of the new teams of the league. It isn't easy for this kind of teams to do a good work against the biggest teams of the Serie A in their first season already. I think it will be the same for Frosinone as well.

Osimhen is injured for at least a few weeks maybe. But Napoli are still a strong team that can deal with their opponent here easily. I just hope to see the same strong mentality from them with Rudi Garcia as well. This is going to be their first official game with him so let's see.

The opening game of the new season is going to be Werder Bremen - Bayern Munich in only four days. Kane can have some training in the meantime at least to be readier. But of course he will need some time to fully adapt. I hope he doesn't have big problems with language barrier. Because as far as I know he doesn't speak German.

Getafe - Barcelona was indeed an interesting game in terms of the length of extra time. Barcelona could have won this game actually. I'm saying this even though I knew that they couldn't beat Getafe in their last three head-to-head games in this stadium. Barcelona were the better side here but they weren't effective enough.

Dominance isn't always enough for a team to get a win. Barcelona had issues with finding the target a lot and this cost them two points. If Getafe also didn't get a red card I wonder whether there would have been a chance for Getafe to steal a shocking win.

Inter are still looking for a centre-forward now. They were interested in Scamacca but they lost him to Atalanta in the last moment. Balogun and Arnautovic are shown as the latest rumours. Arnautovic is a very experienced striker but he has got quite old now - 34 years old. Therefore I don't think he would be an ideal transfer.

They should improve their attempts for Balogun if they are really interested. Even if they sign him on loan it is nice for them. He is a quite young but talented scorer now. If we see some good chemistry there between him and Lautaro Martinez then Inter can do a pretty nice work this season.

Schmeichel is reported to be joining Chelsea after Kepa's departure. Actually Chelsea have newly signed Robert Sanchez who is also a decent goalkeeper. But they did this while there wasn't anything on the table like Kepa leaves the team. Therefore this situation might mean that they will sign another goalkeeper.

Schmeichel is a very experienced goalkeeper. He is 36 years old though but he can still do a good work when he is given chances. There would be some nice competition between Sanchez and him in this situation. Sanchez's point against Liverpool wasn't much impressive as well by the way.

If there wasn't any offside on Chilwell's goal maybe things would have been much more different for the Chelsea - Liverpool game. But it was still not seeming easy for Chelsea to win the game of course. They had a quite big dominance in ball possession but when it comes to finding chances there wasn't a big difference.

The problem for Liverpool was that they had big problems on finding the target. Despite 13 goal attempts only 1 of them was on target which ended up with a goal. It looks like Liverpool aren't quite ready for the season as well. But this is only the beginning so let's see the next ones.

Kane found a chance in Bayern Munich's first official game already and played for like 30 minutes as well. I wasn't expecting him to be brought to this game honestly as he has just been signed. He couldn't do much thing but this is totally normal of course. He hasn't even trained with other players to adapt to the system yet.

When it comes to Bayern Munich's performance against Leipzig it was just horrible. Especially the defense had big issues and the goalkeeper was Ulreich at the same time. Bayern Munich need to solve their goalkeeper problem as quick as possible.
