2641  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptotourism - is it evolving? on: October 06, 2017, 01:42:09 PM
I am not sure if anyone used this term before here, but would like to discuss with you guys, when we have great and working opportunities and abilities to travel and use full services using cryptos and Bitcoin only?
So far we can get services, food, museums, etc. only at specific places and countries. It's impossible to travel using only digital coins probably.

So what are your thoughts and future vision about that?
This is evolving and its being used currently I had read about a guy who travelled across two to three countries without enough cash but bitcoin in his wallet which came back and create a thread on that even on the forum. Bitcoin is evolving and spreading its tentacles across various sector of the economy where money is being spent.

However, everything has not been completed yet, as there are still a lot of ground to be covered what is needed is the modalities to make that happen without flouting the rule of migration between countries.
2642  Other / Meta / Re: why my post is reduced? on: October 06, 2017, 11:08:14 AM
Since most of your posts are insipid little turds like this:

do not be too hasty in deciding a thing, you should buy bitcoin when the price is down, until later if the price goes up you can sell it and get a lot of profit
you really ought to be banned for shitposting.  Your post count should be reset to zero.  You're actually whining because two of your posts got deleted?  Give me a break.
Well, I apologize if my last post was less qualified, I will keep improving the quality of my posts forward.
Thank you for the help

That is a very good restitution to make but you are actually not the only one involved because if you look well enough even in this section of the forum, you will see several people claiming such. Its basically some amount of cleanup that happen occasionally so this is not going to be the end of such. You need to brace it could be people like you that caused it or it could be someone else, just that everybody who posted in that thread, gets their posts reduced.
2643  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Problem with "browser minning" - freebitco.in on: October 06, 2017, 10:23:18 AM
It does not matter what the FREE pay out per hour is, because we do not know what the price will be in the future. Let's say for one moment the pay out is 80 Sat/hour and you use it 8 times a day = 640 Sat per day. Now let's say you have done this for 6 months = 115200 Satoshi --- In theory, something big happens and the value of 1 Sat goes up to $1 per Satoshi. This will mean for 6 months you solved a few Capthas to receive some free Satoshi and the total value now increased to $115 200 USD. Valued at $5 now with a price of $4350/BTC

We do not know if it can happen, but we can be ready if it does. ^smile^

This your analysis is very correct and I can relate with it as at the time I just came into bitcoin during the below $1000 era I claim several satoshis from freebitco.in  but I got frustrated because of the amount of satoshis pegged at maximum of $200 equivalent then. If I could look back and value the amount then in today's price, I surely made something worthwhile and same thing will happen to those who stick to it and wait till the future time when it would worth more than today's value.
2644  Other / Meta / Re: How to keep forum clean from similar and crap threads. on: October 06, 2017, 07:05:09 AM
We have seen a mess on the forum due to many similar and crap threads, what i have observed that most of these threads are started by "Brand New" and "Newbie" members.
Just a suggestion that if there would be some restrictions for "Newbie" and "Brand New" members that they can't start a new thread on the forum except "Beginners and Help" section then i think this will help to keep clean the forum.
Share your views about this. Thanks

In addition to that I want to suggest if there is a way to perform a form of walk through test for newbies immediately they are registered which will directly take them to certain threads that have been created by reputable members of the forum to serve as a way to answer most of their questions. Threads such as

1. How is activity calculated,
2. How do I rank up
3. How is trust system managed
4. Basic rules of the forum etc.

At the end of it there will be some acceptance to have read and agreed to it and if you are not clear, you can only post into that same thread and until you click affirmation before you move to the main forum. With that newbies will then be held responsible for asking questions they could have been provided answers to.
2645  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Core, Bitcoin Cash, Bitcoin Gold, and Bitcoin 2x... Oh my! on: October 06, 2017, 06:27:14 AM
There's no end to this forking stuff...

Unless there's a significant change worthy of mass media coverage that reach to casual people and awake their interest, you'll see as many forks as you like coming at you. But Bitcoin will stay on the top of the ranking.

The forks will keep coming and the success of it will depend on how acceptable it is to the community of users. The people who have promoted the forks believes they meant well but that is surely from their own point of view and not any thing related to the point of the generality.

A case study is the massive publicity that surrounds BCH and few months down the line we are its yet to live up to expectation which is largely due to the community. The market is gradually getting bigger than individuals and group of individuals and that's what will happen to the several other forks that will come thereafter.
2646  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAM] [REOPENED 2nd time] Moneypot does not want to buy my RBIES on: October 05, 2017, 09:08:27 PM
after a few mails to MP support

another try to get an answer

please send me the RBIES address for the 20K and another address for 10k more

kind regards
JPR

I received not long ago the following answer

Sir,

I cannot transact with you until you return the funds.

my answer was
believe me you can

are you trying to fool me? you promised to buy RBIES and I have some to sell you.

rethink your decision not to fulfill your PROMISE

kind regards
JPR

and the MP support answered now
You can definitely sell your rubies.  It goes through a process and I can't get that started until you send back the funds.

and another mail
I have explained to you.  I am trying to receive the funds back and then restart the transaction so I can process it properly.

they insist that I will send the 0.2 BTC first and only then I can sell the 20k RBIES for the same 0.2 BTC I have already huh they insist on double fees

I dont see any reason to send the 0.2 BTC back and then to initiate a RBIES deal for the same amount. one can see what they want to achieve.

I am asking again for trusted members to read this scam accusation and give MP owners the red trust they earn. they promised to buy the RBIES and now again they start a dirty game to avoid to buy RBIES back

Guy, you must have really had them to have made them committed to this extent. That being said, in my opinion, I think they have a point to have insisted that you send the coins first to them before further transacting with you. Why? Because looking at the precedence of the transaction you have had with them, its you sending first before they send you back your equivalent btc but in this case you are doing a form of reversal.

Its obvious they are trying hard to honor the word but I you do what they are asking for then you can have more ground to accuse and even get them tagged as well.
2647  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: rollback bitcoin will it? on: October 05, 2017, 05:10:37 PM
Because the price of bitcoin is not only speculative, but also objective, it increases as investors increase. To Price retreated to the previous level, it is necessary that there was an event that will significantly reduce the number of users, ie, will get rid of bitcoin. While such events on the horizon can not be seen, the upcoming hardcore does not attract such an event.
Significant drawdowns are possible and will be, but not global level.

Factors that surround the movement of the price of bitcoin in both directions goes beyond the singular factor investors losing confidence or some new entrants coming into the game. Over simplifying it will make such narrow conclusion. Other reasons that could cause the issue mostly is based on and because the market is so volatile which means the trust is easily gained so also easily lost and its not necessarily new participants but market players who trade based on the trust in the market at a particular time.
2648  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Do you use Tor? on: October 05, 2017, 03:54:45 PM
As quite a few of you gamble in cryptos casinos from countries where gambling is forbidden, I was wondering if you use TOR to hide your identity. Or if you use it as well, even if you don’t gamble, to avoid your movements being traced when operating with btc and other cryptocurrencies.

I had use it once but because I was not even getting the benefit of it. It was because I wanted to access a site to benefit from it but I couldnt eventually. TOR has been so efficient in keeping identity anonymous and because gambling is not illegal in my country of residence, I really dont have the need to continue its use.

Avoiding movement being traced as a result of using btc will mean more to what using BTC for just normal purposes. Over here there is no law to say you cant use BTC and for that, I dont see anyone tracking my activities. I dont commit fraud neither do I engage in hacking activities.
2649  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What are you planning till November Harfork?? on: October 05, 2017, 01:47:46 PM
I want to know and take some advices from you guys because I have no idea and I dont want to do mistake.  This time things looks serious and I have fears for the Bitcoin. What are you guys going to do in nexth weeks?

Why will i bother myself only someone who was not involved during the time of the last fork or was not paying attention when it happened will be perturbed with situations such as this. The basic thing you need to do is very simple

1. Keep your bitcoin in a secure wallet that you have the key.

2. Wallet providers and exchange sites that will support the new coin will release their statements in due time.

3. The forum will also come up with ways to go about it.

Just relax and let the situation takes care of itself. When its time you wont labour much to get the right information.
2650  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Government regulation of bitcoin on: October 05, 2017, 01:11:21 PM
It will be wrong or living in fantasy to think government regulation will not come. Its not possible because it and government does not like its influence to be reduce which is what will be interpreted as the objective of bitcoin. But our consolation is that bitcoin cannot be stopped.

The regulation to me, would go a long way to sanitize the system of some individuals that are not supposed to be here and whose actions propelled the regulation in the first place. However, it will not come without a cost which means a lot of core developers and believers will have to abandon bitcoin with the understanding that bitcoin has been hijacked.

Either way, I believe strongly that element of regulation will mean alot by boosting the confidence of corporate bodies in bitcoin.
2651  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Bitcointalk Signature Campaign Monitor on: October 05, 2017, 11:02:21 AM
Aside from the quality of posts which is largely based on individual managers decisions, there are still several things participant do which makes it difficult to track. An example is someone who alternates signature campaign and because the paying time is different, managers managing large number of followers to be monitoring them couple with several campaigns, wont do that until pay day and the culprit will get away with it as only few has been caught.

What I suggest is to PM the managers with your service, tell them the advantages of using it and suggest to manage it for them by giving report on a weekly basis while they focus on the quality, you focus on compliance and I am sure a lot of them will want to look into it.

However, there is need for your service to capture evidence when the infraction took place for argumentative purpose when it arises.
2652  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] ChipMixer - mixing reinvented on: October 05, 2017, 09:36:48 AM
Ok I am a noob and I don't know much of technical stuff but can't Chip-mixer make a encrypted connection between the client and it's servers so if a third party is involved the data is well encrypted? I don't know if it's even possible lol

That would be the HTTPS protocol, which as you might expect, ChipMixer is already using. When you try visiting ChipMixer.com, you will find yourself redirected to https://chipmixer.com rather than http://chipmixer.com. If you click on the lock in your address bar when this happens, you will see all of the information related to the encryption used, website identity, etc.

On a side note, it seems like the site is still down. I am not well versed in the methods possible to resist DDoS attacks, only simply jargon such as null-routing incoming traffic, but as a reminder to anyone trying to use the website when it's down, feel free to access it through Tor.

It actually took me a while to identify the difference in the two options you posted. If the DDOS attack is too much and there is no way around it without compromising the privacy of users, then I dont see anything wrong in migrating completely to Tor. Anybody who even value privacy to have been convinced on going through with mixing services, should also be aware of Tor and even more convenient in using it by default.

I think at this point, emphasis should be placed more on the Tor version of the site if the normal is becoming unavailable for use at the right time.
2653  Economy / Lending / Re: Need 0.01 btc loan on: October 05, 2017, 07:41:28 AM
Account is likely to be hacked/sold and is owned by a butthurt spammer hat leaves fake retaliatory ratings. Untrustworthy.

This user's email address was changed recently.

Shut up,get the fuck out

Instead of you to respond to the various to what has been labelled against you, you resorted to name calling. Even if the account is not sold, I don't expect that you believe someone would want to fill that loan of yours by sending you a PM.

There are ways to ask for loans and everything should be in the open which is something you already know after all. Couple with your red trust, I doubt if anyone would be willing to loan you money even if you had done the right thing. All the best is getting a newbie to fall for something like in other to get your loan filled.
2654  Economy / Economics / Re: what will happen to banks? on: October 04, 2017, 08:12:58 PM
Since banks profit from fees and blockchain will kill fees, my guess is banks will be negatively impacted.
Some banks are already stepping into the blockchain world.
But blockchain will not bring back the profits as otherwise.
Any thoughts?
Apologies if this is not the right place to discuss.
Thanks in advance.

Majority of bank profit does not come from fees rather they come from interest by charging as much as 35% over here though before granting loans to people. Fees constitute part of their revenue but not a large percentage.

Bitcoin will affect the fees no doubt about it but at the same time, you should not be weary of the fees that is being charged when we try to convert and withdraw fiat which means the fees they might be loosing as a result of blockchain is being compensated in another area which might not be equal but commensurate enough to keep them floating.

Also, with the continued dominance of bitcoin bank still turns out profit because revenue is not only what brings profit but reduction of cost which a lot of them are harnessing to the fullest.
2655  Economy / Exchanges / Re: cheapest place to buy bitcoin? on: October 04, 2017, 05:29:04 PM
Cheapest way to buy bitcoin is to buy from individuals within your reach because if it were to be an exchange a member on the forum, you can only open scam accusation and get the individual tagged if there is merit in your argument aside that there is nothing much to be done.

If its going to be from exchange sites, they have their reputation at stake so they probably wont scam you. But individuals one needs to be more careful in this era where people no longer care about means the moment money is involved.
2656  Economy / Marketplace / Re: enough bitcoins to start small project ? on: October 04, 2017, 03:15:51 PM
i if want to start small project (site)

how much i need for basic one ? OR complex one ?

Its on the amount of capital and the complexity of the business involved as well coupled with the country of residence. In my country, with a 5btc, one can start a viable online business without having to break a bank for it but wanting to set up a manufacturing establishment with lot of work force, will surely need more than a 5btc.

Carry out your feasibility study with relevant details and analysis, and be sure with the amount you will be needing to set up but beyond that the cashflow needs should be properly analysed because that sometimes could be more than the initial capital.
2657  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Where can I buy 50 Bitcoins below market value? on: October 04, 2017, 02:00:35 PM
I am looking to buy 50 bitcoins below market value. Does any know if this is possible and can give me some direction as to where to go please?

I hope you have seen eventually because its either going to be that you are scammed, or you are looking to scam someone. Instead of looking to buy below  market value, the market itself has created an avenue for one to buy more even at low price with the various price volatility that is being witnessed in the last couple of days which I feel any serious individual should have taken advantage of.

For Op and any other person looking to buy below market value, just have it at the back of your mind that to make that possible, someone somewhere, is getting robbed of that coins.
2658  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What do you Do When You Run Out of Money to BUY During Such a Great Opportunity? on: October 04, 2017, 09:08:17 AM
So, I'm loving that Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies are crashing. It's been giving me plenty of opportunities to buy in on the markets. However, the markets are so low that I've bought ALL IN with my funds.

Here's the problem...

So many cryptocurrency markets are tanking... which means there are SO many opportunties to make money. But I can't buy anymore, because I'm all bought in.

Do I now wait until we go to the moon (or at least another high)? Do I try to day trade this?

How would you approach this?

The waiting is killing me and I want to play in the markets more!

Opportunities abounds and when you miss one, another one will surely show up but the concern is that because of our inability to know what the future will hold, we are not decisive in taking decision.

When the price crash, we tend to wait further if the crash will be sustained rather than seizing the moment to act, eventually when that happens, the feeble hearted individual will still be scared ''what if I buy now and it crashed further?'' but for me, I have learnt my lessons over the months that I have been involved that you dont have to be a money bag to make high returns in trading.

Imagine someone who bought when the price was below $4000 and now its above, it simply means he has make a nice and decent return, just by merely acting in the right time.
2659  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading Secrets? on: October 04, 2017, 08:29:25 AM
Im curious but are there trading secrets that experienced traders or smart traders have where they dont disclose to the public?

We all know the buy low and sell high concept.  But are there traders who know a few things where regular ppl or even advanced users do not know?

And thus if they reveal these secrets, it would hurt their bottom line as other ppl would do the same?

For example in sportsbetting, there are very smart guys who have very smart angles etc.  Now obviously they would not reveal these secrets or plays because if they do, ppl will all know about it.  Sportsbooks will be aware of it and make adjustments to the line.

So im wondering if there are secrets in trading coins that very few ppl know about and where disclosing it out in public is not a good idea.

If there is any trading secret, I would want to know about it but the fact is even the expert themselves are dont win all the time and aside the big bag holders and those who have access to privilege information, most of them to see themselves as experts as they make trades based on their own analysis and nothing else.

The best teacher to being a mini-expert is through experience. Those who we are all looking up to didnt get there in a day neither were they born with but with constant pushing and learning, they got there which I feel its something anybody can achieve.
2660  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading dilemma on: October 04, 2017, 05:48:49 AM
I bought my btc - DGB for a price of 0.00000693 last August and I'm trying to sell it for 0.00000800 for I hope that the btc will rise this September but I guess I was wrong - It's kinda frustrating to be honest.
To all my fellow traders out there, Does the price of the bitcoin is bothering you - what are plans ? will you sell or wait?

If you are bothered by that, I guess a lot of things are really going to bother you the more because by the time you hold several stocks and everything seems to be taking a reverse trend, what do you do?

Everyone into trading will face one dilemma or the other and even me, I am facing one currently so what I did is what I am going to advise and that is, since you have a set price in mind, just make the open the order and forget about it if you looking at the price bitcoin to decide, it might not work that way every time. If price should rise even in the middle of the night, your order will be fulfilled.
