3641  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Do you think there is a world government. on: March 18, 2017, 02:10:22 PM
I went for yes because o believe there is world government which is being ruled by world powers. They rule and the other countries follow only for some who deceives themselves with the policy of nonalignment in other not to be caught amidst cross fires. These countries will change other countries leadership as they so wish but because they are at loggerheads, that's why the world seems we dont have a government controlling the world.

username: shasta09

If you read the first page of the thread the issue of verifying the rolls has been dealt with and answered very well as the games itself are provided by verifiable source. Having visited the site, I can say I am impressed by the level of worked done and in addition to adding of new platforms on a regular basis.
3643  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Idea to avoid high fee on: March 18, 2017, 12:01:14 PM
A lot of people complain about increasing transaction fee of bitcoin and some even consider to postpone their transaction to avoid these fees.
What about we always convert btc to some other Altcoin before sending and recipient can convert it back to btc as per is convenience?
We can do it for smaller amount of transactions as paying high fee for them is not feasible.
This will also reduce the network congestion to some large extent as most of these transactions are usually of smaller amount.
What is your opinion?

From the way it seems, high fees will only compound the problem because it might erode the spread on profit but the issue is that it cannot be avioided but rather minimise and to do that, first thing is to avoid send small amount of btc and then instead of making withdrawal every now and then, it could be aggregated to move at once then wait for a while to do same.
3644  Economy / Speculation / Re: It going to hurt..! drop back under 1000$ on: March 17, 2017, 08:45:36 PM
For me, I Dont have any problem regarding whether the price of bitcoin is going below or above $1000 but at the same time I have a belief that its not going under even when the news of ETF filtered the town last week and things are even getting more stable. I dont see I happening any time soon maybe when we face one big news though.
3645  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin has no competition on: March 17, 2017, 06:48:00 PM
Currently, we can say bitcoin has no competition but I hope it will keep it for that long not because I am a doom prophet but because of the factors involved firstly is the fact that the price of bitcoin if it becomes unaffordable then I see people looking for options here and there, another is the issue of anonymity which is being contested as other crypto are coming to beat that among other several reasons.
3646  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: LIBERSTAD - "a little piece of freedom" on: March 17, 2017, 06:43:35 PM
Did you already see this site? They are selling pieces of land in Norway to build an "anarcho" village, accepting Bitcoin as payment method.

Legit or fraud?

http://www.liberstad.com/

I actually looked at it but what I would advise is any one considering patronising them will need to do serious and proper investigation in other not to lose money because with the acceptance of bitcoin, if its found out that its a scam, then there is no trace whatsoever and there is nothing that can be proved. Also, I will prefer todo transaction like this with physical presence because of the fund that will be involved.
3647  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin price is crazy or its just preev.com on: March 17, 2017, 04:12:26 PM
I've just visited the preev to see how the price goes on but it goes crazy from 1130+ to 1190? What the hell is going on? Or its just the preev's error? Did some one noticed this also?

I just recorded those matter and upload it on youtube

https://youtube.com/watch?v=QtyCZfbxri8

I thought its actually from my end alone until I stumble on this thread. But I still dont believe its a mistake because we all know how erratic the price of bitcoin could be in a matter of minutes., what I will suggest is to get the quoted price of more exchange site in other to know an average and by so doing, one can make. Informed decision.
3648  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Proton Mail vs Gmail? on: March 17, 2017, 03:56:52 PM
I've been a long time user of Gmail and I've really loved using it for all this time, Google is one of those companies that is linked into to most things and can usually be used to sign into a majority of sites on the internet. Though, with recent revelations of the amount of data companies are really tracking about me and everyone else in the world which is sold down the line to marketers and so on I was looking for a better email service as they pretty much have my entire life on their.

I've seen many people saying ProtonMail is safe, secure and the way to go but I've never really used it and wouldn't really want to try without hearing input from some users, would love some people to let me know how it goes.

I believe even the Proton mail that is assumed to be free might not actually be free after all because how would they pay for what the services they are offering? The next is to let adversitement frustrate you because they have to get the money from somewhere. Even though currently they might be the best option but gradually when their popularity started getting high, I see them following the foot steps of gmail.
3649  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 4 Things I Learned as A Bitcoin Holder on: March 17, 2017, 03:43:37 PM
Have you ever thought of why some people succeed in investing bitcoin while others lose? a chinese bitcoin holder shared his story about 4 things he learned from his successful investment in bitcoin.
Actually, he started with Litecoin, but lost everything. He began investing in bitcoin in 2015 and won a return of 330% in 20 months.
Read more about the story.
http://news.8btc.com/4-things-i-learned-as-a-bitcoin-holder
In any endeavour there is always a loser and a winner it now depends on how chance is on individual side to determine who will win or lose. I dont see anything new I'm what he learnt as everyone here no matter how small you have invested in bitcoin, we have learnt one thing or the other and we will keep on learning. What matter is just getting ready for whatever will come out of every decision taken and that settles it.
3650  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is 21million BTC really enough for the wole world? on: March 17, 2017, 03:35:34 PM
I Dont even believe that bitcoin was originally made for the whole world in the first place. Its either that Satoshi never had the idea that the project will be as successful as this or the 21 million maximum cap is a ruse for everyone to believe that the number of bitcoin is limited so as to keep the pressure high and miners can make more money. But either way, I dont see the 21 million enough to cater for everyone.
3651  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and Bitcoin Community Dissertation. Mind completing the survey?3mins max on: March 16, 2017, 04:38:07 PM
I have posted it firstly in the Discussion section and it has been moved to Services. It is an unpaid survey because I do not have the funds available to reward people for doing it. Also, I do not understand why should be a restriction on newbies to get reliable information Smiley)? Isn`t this forum what it is about? To learn about Bitcoin, increase the knowledge about it and promote the ideas behind? The idea with Newbies makes sense for spamming, but as long as u are on subject I see no reason why my thoughts or what I want to express should be treated differently because I joined later.

Thank you all for your help with the survey! It is extremely appreciated and helpful. I found some interesting ideas in there and I hope I will see even more from you.

Your arguments are right and I also believes that there is nothing wrong for being a newbie afterall even the Legendary rank members today where once newbies. However, I wont even blame those who are skeptical about newbies, its actually due to how people have exploited that rank as a means to perpetuate things that are not right and even defying the rules of the forum.
3652  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: did you place all your funds into bitcoin? on: March 16, 2017, 04:09:29 PM
I am thinking .. to put all my money in bitcoin what do you think? is it a good way to grow my money? or it is risky or.. ?

I will suggest you take it slow but if you are a risk taker, go for it but just have it at the back of your mind that you might end up been bitten because no one knows what will happen the next minute which could end up in a loss for example in my country, while bitcoin price in increasing anyone who puts large amount of money like 4 weeks ago will lose simply because our local currency just started appreciating against the dollar.
3653  Other / Politics & Society / Re: France: Suspect arrested after shooting at Grasse school on: March 16, 2017, 03:44:05 PM
One person has been arrested after a shooting at a high school in the town of Grasse, south-east France, authorities said Thursday.
A 17-year-old armed with a rifle, a handgun, a revolver and two grenades entered the Alexis de Tocqueville school at about lunchtime and opened fire at the headteacher, CNN's French affiliate BFMTV reported.

CNN: http://edition.cnn.com/2017/03/16/europe/france-high-school-shooting-grasse/

The question I would want to ask is how the hell does a 17 year old high school guy lay his hand on a weapon like that? It show the society and government has failed in his own responsibility and if it does that then the society should be ready to bear its consequence and thats exactly what is happening the worst that will happen is he is being arraigned and the lawyers find reasons for his action and he may get a slap on the wrist whereas the person he killed is gone forever.
3654  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Brexit bill approved! What does this mean to bitcoin if anything? on: March 16, 2017, 03:04:43 PM
I just begin to wonder why does everything that happens needs to affect bitcoin, even to those who promotes things such as this will continue to increase uncertainty around bitcoin. The next we will hear is what if there peace in Syria what will that mean for bitcoin, or if Israel and Pakistan shoud have a peace deal, what will it mean for bitcoin? some will even go to the extent that what if Isis stops killing what will it mean for bitcoin? The fact is bitcoin should stand and let world politics does its thing.
3655  Other / Off-topic / Re: Is it possible for us to hack some gambling sites? on: March 16, 2017, 09:32:57 AM
In this digital world, nothing is impossible. Have we not seen an exchange site being hacked and funds stolen? But where I will have a concern is why would any one want to hack a gambling site when its not that funds is being kept on the site and if its to ensure winning most of the payouts are done manually by the administrators of these sites who might to extra length in verifying that the winnings are done legitimately.
3656  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How does bitcoin trading works? on: March 15, 2017, 05:20:26 PM
This probably is a silly question, I am still a newb in terms of trading and other bitcoin related topics. How does it work?

Do I buy bitcoins from a seller with low price and sell it to people with a higher price? Did I get it right? Or my idea of trading is different?

Since you have admitted that its a silly question, then there is no need for me to overflogged the matter. For you to be able to create a thread for this and even in this same section of the forum like this then it shows a level of understanding of how the forum works. But it would have been better if you just take a look at other threads and you get more than enough answers.
3657  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How is trading *not* gambling? on: March 15, 2017, 04:50:33 PM
To a pro-trader who has mastered everything about trading with information, or statistics as well as timing will agree 100% that there is a huge difference between trading and gambling but not for someone like me who go into trading because of hearsay and ended up been bitten as a result of things not working as predicted will see the two as same and if there will be any difference, it will be a thin one.
3658  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling and Supertition on: March 15, 2017, 04:41:15 PM
There is no way one would have been involved in gambling and will not attach some level of superstition to it. Even the luck that we all talk about as a reason for winning in gambling to me is superstition because how do one that is lucky today becomes unlucky tomorrow. How does one determine that? There is no way it wont be attached to something, maybe I woke up right, maybe the person I spoke to, or the the guy that advise me and the likes. One way or the other, superstition is involved.
3659  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Fake Transactions at Bitcoin Exchanges on: March 15, 2017, 03:03:55 PM
you may be seeing transaction volume as a metric when choosing bitcoin exchanges. But bitcoin insiders reveal that it is an open secret that exchanges generate fake transactions to make themselves look better.
this could be devastating for bitcoin newbies like me. Normally, there are three ways to do so.
Read more about this story at:
http://news.8btc.com/threes-ways-to-generate-fake-transactions-at-bitcoin-exchanges

Hardly will one see any site that is entirely truthful. They will want to use one way or the other to entice cclients to patronise their services. Its even happening in the real world where companies will paint themselves as very solvent and standing firm whereas they are wallowing under bank debts. In other to be careful, one just needs to patronise those sites that have stand the test of time and have even proved themselves worthwhile over the years rather than those who came into existence just last month and have started claiming large volume of transactions.
3660  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Whether anyone believe???? on: March 15, 2017, 11:34:21 AM
Whether you believe if you Continuously Buying The same number, one day you can win the lottery. there i read some stories much people can being rich by using this way.

I dont believe and I wont believe in something like that because the way the winning in all this lottery is positioned, buying just one number every time, one might need to wait till eternity for that to turn out well. Even for those who have one over the years, is there any one that have admitted he has been buying the same number, I guess its a no. Its just chance that happen at that point in time.
