I think he's going to try to shine BTC in a bad light  It'd be suspicious if he was making it look like a wonderful thing. That's not the quite the feeling I was getting from the comic. What I got was that it is no worse than the banking system and stock market anyways, and the bankers won't be able to extract their pound of flesh for the "privilage" to use your hard earned money. To me, at least, that sounds neutral to slightly positive, in an everything-is-already-screwing-me-over kind of way.

Odd thing, a few minutes after you sent me the 300, it dropped down to 299.9999999
I added BitStamp as a "trusted" user but accidentally added them as USD, when I wanted to add them as BTC. But, now I can't trust them with BTC because I don't have 300 XRP (Apparently 300 != 299.999999, but we'll leave that discussion for another day.) Can you help again?

Right, well I understand I can trade BTC for ripples, just trying to figure out how more can be earned, or won.
I saw the thread for the 'free giveaways' but I don't see anything active.
In any case, thanks for the help. I've gotten the 300 now so I can set up "trust" with bitstamp and transfer some bitcoin over to xrp. So I'll probably do that.

Someone will probably trade you some BTC for it. The people who made Ripple are supposed to be distributing it but I believe their restrictions prevent new accounts from attaining ripples (to prevent abuse, which isn't working, since bots collected a ton of them.)
