281  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is E-DeFi , and How it could help Crypto Community in Time of Dip on: July 30, 2022, 05:34:30 PM
Is there a difference between regular p2p and e-commerce p2p? other than transactions from one person to another! if this is already been offered in most online stores how is it going to make a big difference in the crypto community?
To me, I don't see any big deal here to make a huge difference, p2p or e-commerce p2p is good because it gives an opportunity for direct transaction in a much quicker way but nothing more to it.
282  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Futures Trading is not for everyone on: July 29, 2022, 06:16:40 PM
The way some traders brag about their earnings from futures trading usually entices some newbies to want to try it. In one of the telegram group chat i follow, some futures traders guys in the group usually make so much noise about their trade and make the rest members who don't trade futures feel like they are missing out.  Just as traders can win big with futures so also they can lose easily with one little miscalculation, better for those who can't read the chart properly to stick with spot trading.
@op your second attempt should have been half of your funds.
283  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Be a wise investor on: July 29, 2022, 05:48:44 PM
Yeah, there is nothing wrong with taking a profit when the market is at its peak, this is something that varies for individuals, some people don't want to take a profit until the price reaches their target, and others do so when there is a reasonable rise in price.
From my little experience as an investor in this space for some time now, it is best to take profit, especially during the peak period of a bull run, once that period ends and the bear market comes in, you will be filled with regret for not making the move when you had the opportunity.
284  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Most BTC you've spent on something? on: July 28, 2022, 07:57:45 PM
$100 worth of btc for an online service around 2018 or so (bad at keeping date) it was my first and last transaction with btc directly. i didn't really take note of what btc was trading for at the time as was too excited to pay with btc. the experience was great but i would rather have those btc in my wallet though since every sat matter. Grin
Maybe someday i will buy a physical item with btc from my local store, that will be fulfilling.
285  Other / Archival / Re: Bitcoin is King on: July 28, 2022, 07:38:27 PM
Most definitely, btc should be about %70 of a portfolio for stability and most especially for a long-term goal guarantee. It is true that most of the top 10 we have in the market today may not be in a few years to come, several factors can result in that, but as long as btc covers more than half of your investment I believe the impact (if any unexpected eventualities occur) will not be too the detriment. So far only very few alts have a long-term goal capability imo.
286  Economy / Economics / Re: You don't earn money only from others, but also when you avoid spending your own on: July 27, 2022, 05:59:27 PM
To sum it up, cut unnecessary expenses, and stop spending on things that won't really make any difference even if you don't buy them. I think it is in human nature to spend flamboyantly when they have extra cash. In other for someone to be able to save and increase their funds, one must learn to cut down all unnecessary expenses and be prudent in spending. Know how to economize  Cheesy
287  Economy / Economics / Re: Elon and his bag of tricks on: July 27, 2022, 05:48:25 PM
Their CFO wanted to manage risk and they indeed did made a financial decision in which they think selling bitcoin was the right move to do. In the end, I couldn't care less, and so should you unless you hold their stock.
Exactly! I don't think you should care or continue to care so much about Tesla and Elon musk unless you hold their stock. As far as I am concerned Elon will always do what is best for him and the survival of his companies and you too as an individual should consider and concern yourself with doing what is best for you and your survival financially instead of worrying if Tesla's recent development was in line to raise their trading price.

Not just Elon any business-minded person will do what it takes to sustain their business especially during serious economic crises like this.  You could clearly see there was a reason for the sale, I mean why sell now when they had the chance to sell higher a few months back! After really thinking about it, I feel they did what they had to do and which isn't a big deal because btc price was not too affected by the news. Tesla is not the largest holder of btc and now that 75% of what they used to hold has been liquidated, they are like a tiny threat now.
288  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stablecoins is a good way to keep and save money or not? on: July 26, 2022, 08:09:51 PM
What do you think about stablecoins, some scandals around them and their future? It is interesting to hear the opinion of the members of bitcointalk

If you manage to find a trusted, transparent, decentralized stablecoin you can save your money with such a stablecoin (it does not make such coins 100% guaranteed) just as the name implies, stablecoins will retain the value of your money during times like this because it is not as volatile as the rest of crypto.
As to the news scandal revolving around some stablecoins, not all have this issue, some are transparent and can be trusted, those are the type you should look for.
289  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your ultimate choice? on: July 26, 2022, 07:48:27 PM
So, guys what will be your choice from these coins and why? Any specific reason? - BCH, AXS, EOS, BTC, ETH

Seriously! why is BCH and EOS part of these choices? there are too many competitors in the market when it comes to play2earn so AXS will really have to work extremely hard to still be in the spotlight because from the look of things, there are many good p2e that are already overtaking its position as top p2e.
I won't be touching those 3 imo, EOS is old and outdated, and doubt anyone is even using the network, BCH is just a fork with no relevance, better to use the real deal which is BTC, eth on the other hand is a high gas sucking maniac that should be avoided at all cost (if you can) Cheesy
so my choice here will only be btc. Case close  Cool
290  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Terra Classic scam? on: July 25, 2022, 07:49:59 PM
Terra Classic is not a scam. It just happened to be a victim of an unfortunate experiment. And if new projects can start to launch on the chain and burning taxes are applied and rightly implemented, it can possibly be at 100x from its current value.

Did you read the root of the cause of terra's downfall? scams are of different levels and from the look of things, you may not be able to identify one even if it stirs directly in your face.
If you don't mind my asking what experiment exactly is terrea a victim of? is Do Kwon aware of this so-called experiment? have you ever thought why Do kwon never go with the terra communnity vote for burn when he could instead went ahead to do a fork? Yeah, victim of bad experiment indeed.
291  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to be a blockchain based developer ?? on: July 25, 2022, 07:20:21 PM

Your interest to be a Bitcoin coder needs to be honored but I'm afraid it is impossible.

I find this post of yours very ridiculous and bulshit, you don't know his/her capacity for learning, the compassion and zeal to learn already you think it is impossible just because learning to be a btc dev is only meant for superhumans right?

Coding is not like you are learning some stoff about cities and rivers in Japan, bro.
Coding is huge and requires special knowledge.
As a Bitcoin code developer, you need huge skillz and experience.

And even more nonsensical post, perhaps you can tell the @op what are these special skills other than his/her brain that is required to learn, and by learning it means LEARNING THESE SPECIAL SKILLS AND NOT BORN WITH IT.

292  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is the possibility Bitcoin will rise before the end of the year ? on: July 24, 2022, 08:50:31 PM
Perhaps the reason you get lucky with your prediction was that btc bull circle was already around the corner. If you say rise before the end of the year, I would say high probability but rising above the previous ath, most likely not.
There is no doubt btc will rise before the end of the year after several months of dipping, it is not possible for btc to remain down throughout this year.
293  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hold your bag when you can on: July 23, 2022, 07:38:13 PM
It's crazy when you realize that someone still thinks that bitcoin can go to $1 or even zero. Well, it's different these days and not the same anymore as before because bitcoin has gone far and despite being a very volatile asset, it's unlikely that it will go that low.
Think of those people that are waiting just to buy cheap bitcoin like around $10k down to $3k, there will be a massive buying order on exchanges if it's reached and even to $1k so thinking that it could be low as $1 or zero is totally crazy despite of that "possibility".

That's how you know the btc community is growing when you have people thinking it is possible btc will go to $1 (even though it sounds ridiculous) at the same time it makes you realize these are new people in the space and will learn over time just as we (the old timers) have all learn.
Many newbies won't be able to recognize the opportunity this bear market has presented to them until when the market is back in full bull mode,  their thoughts are filled with all the crap they read from different news sources out there, so buying now is far from it, they are waiting to buy the $1 bottom.  Cheesy

295  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Tesla: "We have converted approximately 75% of our BTC into fiat currency" on: July 22, 2022, 07:36:02 PM
Elon loves the spotlight and he never gets tired of drawing attention to himself, honestly, I wish he had sold everything and be done with it so that the crypto community will finally be free from tesla btc bag. Despite selling 75% the market was not severely affected by it, seems there are more hungry buyers than tesla selling. Am not sure what he was expecting from that move but I can tell it is not what he expected. There was no panic sale, Your loss Elon.
296  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Can applications/games that promise coins and tokens as rewards be trusted? on: July 22, 2022, 07:03:39 PM
I am not sure why you should include stepN in your list since earning the token is not free unlike sweatcoin, StepN requires you to invest in other to earn and so far they seem like a genuine project since they are binancelab incubated project, I think to some degree StepN can be regarded as trusted.
As for sweatcoin  i really can't say if they can be trusted or not since so far you can easily earn the tokens for free without any investment, while popcoin is completely new to me.

297  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Shiba Inu Partners with Longtime Marvel Collaborators !!! on: July 21, 2022, 05:41:39 PM
As interesting as this news sound, never thought anything useful will come out of an ordinary memecoin like shiba inu, I must say the dev are trying to let no stone unturned in their quest to create a strong utility for this very popular memecoin.
I like metaverse and want to invest in any of the top metaverse projects in the ecosystem for long-term goal but am not sure about shiba inu as a long-term thing (I might be wrong), just my opinion.
298  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: TIME's new cover: The metaverse will change everything!!! on: July 21, 2022, 05:34:04 PM
We can say that the concept of metaverse reached its highest level when Facebook changed its name to "meta". However, many metaverse projects have emerged in the crypto money field. While some of them were scam projects, some of them were really projects belonging to the concept of the metaverse. With the cover of TIME's magazine, will interest in the concept of the metaverse rise again? We have to follow.

Changing a name of a company will not give such level awareness, Facebook change the name of the company but they haven't create any outstanding projects to be the cause of what metaverse is today. This is as a result of the collective innovative ideas of different organisations, companies who believe the metaverse ecosystem will be the future of digital reality and not because of Facebook name change.
Those who thinks metaverse is a dream, AI already existing in many companies and it is part of the whole metaverse ecosystem. The world is going digital on a daily basis.
299  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are governance tokens (UNI, COMP) a good long-term investment? on: July 20, 2022, 03:46:14 PM
....Uniswap's "UNI" token performed well in the past, but prices are relatively stagnant these days due to the platform's high ETH gas fees and poor performance.
That doesn't sound right. This makes me think that you just came out of the cave after a long hibernation hehe. I'm pretty sure those who were really around knew the gas price measured in ETH were even higher when UNI was surging. A lot of the traders and investors didn't mind how much they will spend to buy or sell during that time since as long as they make a profit.

Yeah surprisingly the huge gas fees did not prevent most traders to trade in uniswap as much as they could back then, some investors made a huge profit despite the high gass fee. As long as uniswap exit i don't see why buying some uni for long term base is not a good idea, the current market condition making things to be slow but it also gives an opportunity to buy these coins very cheap, look at the price of comp now compare to its previous price, it is a discount.
300  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think about TON? on: July 20, 2022, 03:34:46 PM
I've invested some money in it and waiting for its growth but it's kinda stable rn. Also I'm wodering should i invest more moeny in it or no. When do you think it will grow and will it grow at all? Really want to hear the opinion of some more experienced traders

Usually, you ask these questions before investing and not the other way round, I have never heard of this TON project before now, and since you already invested I guess there is nothing more anyone can say, between I see about 3 projects with a similar ticker on coingecko so it is kinda hard to know which among them you are referring to.
You should do your research more about the project before putting more funds, you know alts are risky investments.
