2921  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Lomachenko vs Commey - December 11 on: November 14, 2021, 08:18:50 PM
So 2 fights this year for Lomachenko? indeed he might be thinking of regaining his previous position in the p2p lists. And it's a tough comeback road for him, but he is not taking it a lightly after that shoulder injury that causes him the title against Lopez. All roads though seems lead to Teofimo Lopez, so if he wanted to get his rematch, he has to do it the hard way. And I will go with the popular opinion here that Loma is going to win, maybe we just have to wait for the bookies to open up and see the odds.

If he wants to make a comeback then he has no other option to but to begin to fight more frequently, however it is yet to be seen if Teofimo Lopez will give him a chance, it seems they have personal problems that go beyond the ring as Teofimo accused the camp of Lomachenko of being disrespectful to him.

But in the case it happens Lomachenko will need to increase the amount of punches he throws as during their last fight Teofimo Lopez threw more than twice the number of punches he threw.

He has been fighting more frequently, he just beat Nakatani like 6 months ago if I'm not mistaken.

And then he is facing another great boxer and former champion in Richard Commey here. So there's no question that Loma is the more active fighter for this year. And has face the better opposition (although Lopez beat both of them already, but he has a hard time against a tall Nakatani. While Loma just toyed around and then knock out Nakatani).

We will see Lopez fight Kambosos in the next couple of days, but that fight took many months in the making, changing of promotional company etc.. etc..
2922  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: November 14, 2021, 03:04:08 PM
What do you think of GSW vs Hornets game tomorrow? Will GSW continue its magical run?
They hot, can't bet against the Warriors after playing a very dominant basketball in their previous games.

This is a road game for the warriors but I think they'll still win this one and the winning streak will continue.

Right, I do agree, the Warriors is on a hot streak, I don't think that the Hornets can stop them in their home court. They are on a 7 game winning streak and NBA's best 11-1, so everything is on the line for the Warriors.

Curry scored 40 points against the Bulls, and I think he will continue to score and lead his team against a 7-7 Hornets. I think they can cover -4.5 to -5.5 spread in this game.
2923  Economy / Economics / Re: crypto for the development of local farmers...can.....? on: November 13, 2021, 09:28:47 PM
Until now, several cryptocurrencies related to the agricultural sector, seem to be less effective for farmers and also there is no progress. because of several projects such as those in my own country, including Hara Token (HART) and Agricoin (AGC & AGCMN).
who try to use the agribusiness sector as an asset for crypto offerings, there is no development and tends to be left behind even though 30% of the world's population is a farmer and the other 10% is related to agriculture. Can cryptocurrencies still be applied to future economic developments in the agricultural sector because it seems difficult?

Maybe this projects are not properly marketed to countries wherein farmer agriculture is still one of the main source of income for their population?

Or I guess still depends on the nation? if they are not into crypto then how can you promote this projects to them?

I guess the goal here is good no doubt about, but it might take years to really apply this project to farming sector as there are obvious a lot of challenges in the line.
2924  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Lomachenko vs Commey - December 11 on: November 13, 2021, 08:55:12 PM
Wasn't Nicholas Walters a knockout artist and could not land nothing being heavy handed is one thing but you gotta land. I only see teo land body shots and he hits like a mule to I got Loma on points but you never know in boxing. Hopefully Loma gets his rematch with Lopez. Man, I never heard that comment from Lopez after the Nakatani fight only picking fighters his height.

That's true, Walters knockout Donaire, but he can't land a single blow against Loma and then quit on his stool, Lol. A power puncher who says 'no mas' to the great Loma because he is frustrated.

The Lopez fight is very different though, now we understand why Loma fight very odd against Lopez is because he had that shoulder injury.

Lopez said he doesn't want to fight taller fighters no more like Nakatani. But look at what Loma did to Nakatani when they fought.
2925  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: November 13, 2021, 08:28:03 PM
Just watched the final between Shapovalov and Paul, must say that I am very disappointed with Shapovalov. He was better player for the most of the match but had 2 unbelievably bad patches. Both times he lost 12 points in the row after not converting break ball. At the end of the match he had 4:3 and 15:40 on his opponent serve and then went on and lost all the remaining points in the match. That is just mental instability for a guy with serve like his on fast surface.

I dont like Shapovalov he either plays top tennis or really bad one. He mostly plays couple of games good then losses too many at once. If he losses a break in the set its probobly over. He for me cannot reach top 10 he is not capable currently at playing at a big level, like finals or winning them

Wow, I thought that when he won the second set, Dennis will win this tournament.

So that's how the match ended, he has a good lead and then blew everything off. Very inconsistent and for bettors of him, it will be very tough as well.

And as far as I know, he really did play bad for this year and this match probably sums it up.
2926  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Logan Paul vs Mike Tyson on: November 13, 2021, 03:40:08 PM

There is no way Mike Tyson will lose this fight willingly just for the sake of money. The reputation he has built over the years can't be given up just like that.
If the fight is scripted it will just be that Mike Tyson will receive a few punches as well but Mike Tyson won't give up losing the fight for money sake.

If we were only going to base on the record or reputation that Mike Tyson has built for all the years of his life in boxing then I will going to agree with you mate that there's no way that this man will lose however as a bettor and boxing fans we will not only rely on the record but also on the physical well-being of the fighter too. Mike Tyson is already on aged, he is also a human being that his skills, agility and strength do speed down and changes. No one is telling that he is not a good fighter but through his aged that's why I think Logan Paul has the edge on this upcoming bouts.

I honestly would avoid betting on this match because its just an exibition and can go eitherway just because of that.If Mike Tyson was a little younger he would just destroy Logan Paul. But we have seen the match with Mayweather,Logan Paul went the distance and he just wanted that. Logan Paul has the only advantage that he is younger,if Mike Tyson gets him once its over.

Yeah, I think the Mike Tyson vs Roy Jones should be a fight that we learned from this exhibitions match.

They can be rigged from the fighters themselves to judges. Everyone see that Mike should have edge Roy Jones but the judges score it a draw and for sure many was surprised to see the results.

So I agree that it's better to avoid this exhibitions matches for now. As the results could be rigged.
2927  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: GGG vs Murata December 29 on: November 13, 2021, 03:15:52 PM
^^ I agree this is a huge fight, I mean boxing is big in Japan and if I'm not mistaken Murata is only few Japanese who has a belt, the other famous Japanese boxer is Naoya Inoue.

And having this fight in Japan and in New Year, it will really translate into big money.

Remember Floyd having an exhibition years ago that started this whole cross over and exhibition fights? He was offered $9 million for 3 rounds. So there's a lot of money in Japanese market whether boxing or MMA.
2928  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: GGG vs Murata December 29 on: November 12, 2021, 10:15:51 PM
Surprised to see GGG fighting this year at his age.

And even though he lost to Canelo, (controversial and then no rematch), I still consider him the greatest MW of our era. This will be his second reign and I agree that GGG has so much experienced that we will favor him against the Japanese fighter in Murata. But Murata is also a champion and we all know that Japanese boxer is also durable, so this is going to be a good fight.

I agree with that, have seen fights involving Japanese boxers and they were tough and courageous and this Murata, though he only has 18 fights record still he could bring some challenges to the not-so-young GGG. Fighting at 40 years old is tough for GGG as you have to train religiously for a fight, I admire him for that.

Have not voted yet as I'm having a hard time picking when an old fighter fighting young guys, we all see what happened to Manny lately  Grin.

Murata is not that young as well, he is at the ripe age of 35 years old, so both of these middleweights are in the crossroads of their career. Maybe this division though is very weak that's why GGG and Murata remain the dominant champion even at that age.

Hopefully, GGG will not age overnight, maybe he still targets Canelo for a fight before he retires.

Here are the boxrec,

2929  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cardano Price Analysis. on: November 12, 2021, 08:40:12 PM
ADA Struggles to Close Above a Critical Resistance Level
Despite the bounce in Bitcoin’s price, ADA is currently struggling to overcome a critical resistance level. Cardano price is now 2.17$ is there any possibility that it will rise soon or reach a new ATH because the btc is now back to bullish and the current btc price is now 51,602$.

Even though Bitcoin is currently bullish, the ADA is running normally at the current price. I am optimistic that the price of Cardano coin will reach $5 or will set the next ATH record., but this change will occur after the Bitcoin price movement stops. Some information I found, that the next bull run the price of ADA will reach $7.  However, this analysis cannot be used as a reference in crypto investment. A crypto investor of course needs his own analysis so that he can reduce the risk of loss.

This thread was open like one month ago, so I think it is still within the range of $2.xx.

People need to slow down, ADA has been tearing the market for the last year or so and it has given tremendous returns already so it's just normal for the project to take a break.

Maybe it has hit the ceiling already, maybe not, but we need to be patience and wait for that $5.00 that majority of you are waiting.

BTC though reaches another all time high, just saying as the OP tag the price of bitcoin that time at $51k.
2930  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can BTC rise to 1 million US dollars? on: November 12, 2021, 08:09:12 PM
This is all I can say, in the beginning, what was the price of Bitcoin? $0.01? $0.1 and then it grows to $1.00 and people are saying it's going to die so many early bagholders sold their stash.

Moving forward now, how many regrets of selling their Bitcoin that time? we have seen it countless times in twitter and social media accounts saying this and that?

Now with the current price, what would you think be the price in the next 10 years or 20 years or more? Just think about it, Bitcoin has a lot of surprises for us.
Although it often experiences negative sentiments, the bitcoin price slowly but surely continues to experience a significant increase from year to year, even though it takes a long time but I am very sure if we will see the bitcoin price even more than $500K later, now we just need to be patient and continue to hold our bitcoin for a long time and waiting to right time for later we release it at the highest price.

But knowing how big the marketcap needed to achieve before that to happen and I think that price mark is so impossible to be reach by bitcoin knowing that market is so volatile and for sure it will struggle to reach that far. And maybe its good to speculate first on when $100k to be reached since if we can see that achieve by bitcoin then the next target would be the $200k and this is a quite hard path to take.

It won't be that easy, I agree, but think about it, before bitcoin was not being used by companies as a hedge to their assets, and then Wall Streets and Institutions are not investing on it. And now we have government like El Salvador buying as well.

So there could be like some factors in the future that will make them buy again bitcoin that can even push it higher and higher every halving. And the price that we never thought possible in the future could happen.
2931  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Terence Crawford vs Shawn Porter - Nov. 20 on: November 12, 2021, 10:49:21 AM
^^ Not sure if they can reach at least 1 million PPV buys though. The Alvarez vs Plant peaked around 800,000 million buys.

So I would say that maybe the max of this fight can reach is around 500,000+/-.

But still this is a good numbers if they hit that numbers as we are still in the pandemic era and maybe there are people are still not willing to pay that steep price.
2932  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: November 12, 2021, 10:00:03 AM
Ah I cant believe Murray lost to Paul. As above he is indeed very unpredictable.
He will be dissapointed with that, not being able to back up the win against Sinner,
that would be a market or progression for him.

I think anyone who thinks Murray is getting back to former glory is kidding themselves,
the problems with the hips has set him back massively.

I'm not betting on Murray past the first round in future tournaments.

I agree mate, with his huge win against Sinner, who wouldn't have thought that he will lost to Paul in this match?

Maybe it just shows that his body in really no longer there, I mean maybe there is already the fatigue factor about that huge win against Sinner. If that is the case then we wouldn't see him win any tournaments.
2933  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: November 12, 2021, 08:48:41 AM
^^ Probably Rudy Gorbet is frustrated that he was blocked Turner. Imagine the league leading defender and shot blocker being serve with his own medicine, and then they are on the losing end. He pulled the shorts of Turner and it's good that he didn't fall badly.

However, again, it's always the retaliation that is being caught by the referee, good thing is that no punches are being thrown. But for sure suspensions for the players involved.
2934  Economy / Speculation / Re: [Poll] If this happens, is it time to sell your Bitcoin? on: November 11, 2021, 11:35:54 PM
Voted for the fourth option.

I'm keeping BTC as a long term hedge against a fiat collapse, which will be imminent.

I'm not interested in taking profits in the short run quite honestly - you might feel great for a while, and you could even potentially buy back for cheaper, but history has taught us that more often than not BTC will be on an uptrend long term due to its scarcity.
A total collapse? Probably a long way off of that currently. However, we can definitely expect something similar to 2008/2009 where there was a global recession. This has undoubtedly been escalated by Covid, and the measures that needed to be taken for that. A global recession something like 2008/2009, probably bigger is likely to be imminent, but I wouldn't go as far to say that a complete collapse is imminent.

Also, there is likely a ceiling that Bitcoin will hit, as with everything. Though, at this moment considering the currency is relatively new, it's hard to figure out what that ceiling might be when it has already broken a lot of peoples expectations.

I don't think there will be ceiling for bitcoin price? Unless we really reach the point 'where all btc has been mined', so it might take at least 3-5 halvings to realized that.

In any case, I see people still holding their precious bitcoin even if we didn't reach 6 digits, and I'm somewhat on that side as well. There were instance that I took short term profit, but looking back now, I should have hold and then just wait for the right time to sell and probably I could have profit x more amount in terms of fiat. So now I've learn from that mistake so I will still hold no matter what and wait for the next halvings.
2935  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I think Ethereum is more dynamic than bitcoin on: November 11, 2021, 09:42:00 PM
Yes, of course Ethereum is more dynamic than Bitcoin. Bitcoin doesn't have really big features and it is not cared very much in terms of development. But it is not the same for Ethereum. The developers are always working on new updates. Ethereum 2.0 is really promising. As long as Ethereum keeps being updated, it can even dethrone Bitcoin after some point. Bitcoin is just enjoying its spot for now.

There is one improvement in the calendar on Bitcoin which is Taproot activation, should happen this week.

What do you mean that Ethereum 2.0 is promising? it didn't solved the gas fees right? well, that's what I heard as people is till complaining about it because now it is more expensive than bitcoin itself.

Ethereum might be dynamic because obviously the devs are very active, but it seems that's one of it's drawback though, issues after issues have arises and the devs can't cope up with it and their iteration releases are always behind schedule.
2936  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin's new All Time High (ATH) has been reached this year again (X2) on: November 11, 2021, 09:19:52 PM
Now that he have reached a new all time high, but then again it was followed by a sell-off. Not surprised  though, just the natural occurrence in this market, people sell at the top to make profits, simply as that.

That's how I read it. When we went back through the previous $20K ATH from December 2017 last year, there were two or three times when we got close to $20K, even passing it slightly and the price dropped again, until we managed to break the resistance clearly.

I think there has been mainly profit taking now, but that we will be back up again soon, and that the best is yet to come until the end of the year.

This is a period of profit-taking, but things will turn around soon. As I went through previous comments, I found that people thought that Bitcoin was dead and was going to crash. There was no possibility of it going that low. Now look at how much it has pumped. BTC has reached a new high recently and $70k is coming soon. It's possible that this bull run has been cut short due to a distinct difference. However, even 70k would be fantastic.

Is November/December going to be a high-flyer or will it dip a lot? There will be 100k next year if the cycles remain steady.

It there's something that history will tell us, November/December is a positive month for bitcoin. Even during the last bear cycle, we will see some occasional pumps, specially in December for profit taking. So what's more if we are in a great and super fast bull run right now. I'm not worried for those who sold to take it's profit, for sure they are going to buy again when the price is cheap and wait for the price to reach $70k-$80k again before doing the same. That's how it goes though, and I will be positive that we can even reach higher than that, maybe that 6 digits can be achieved this December or early 2022.
2937  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Nonito Donaire vs Reymart Gaballo (WBC bantamweight) on: November 11, 2021, 08:31:59 PM
For the promotion, again a full one month could have been enough for this fight. And the one handling this fight have many experience in promoting a fight so I don't think this will be a problem.
Donaire's fight is not hard to promote, but this fight is between both Filipinos and I think they'll get little audience compared to Donaire fighting another race like Mexicans or Americans, but still I'm hopeful the promoters will be able to make it a profitable fight.

True, and no offense to Reymart, he is no name as compare to Donaire and even if he won against Rodriguez, boxing fans are not familiar with him. Even to some Filipinos, he is relatively unknown, if not for the fight against Rodriguez, he will still be under the shadows of most well known Filipino bantamweight champions such as Casimero and Donaire. But it good that there are also other Filipinos in this division, like Jonas Sultan who recently won. At least we can say that the Filipinos are dominating this weight class.
2938  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: November 11, 2021, 06:03:02 PM
I predicted the result of Lakers - Heat game wrongly as Lakers were the winning team by 120-117. But Heat played as good as them that Lakers were able to win this game after overtime. Lakers succeeded in beating them even in the absence of Lebron which is a good sign for them. Because this season, it is really hard to beat Miami Heat as they are quite solid so far.

With Lebron James not playing and Jimmy Butler having only ended up playing like 12mns before exiting with an injury, this game tells us next to nothing about these two teams and their future this year.  Missing these two players changes the entire dynamic of the teams.  I think the Lakers will only continue to get better and better and with both squads being fully healthy I'll take the Lake Show.

The Lakers has yet to make a good game. All of their games I can say is pretty bad. However, they have pulled a W in most of these games.
Well, is it a sign that they've got a good chances of them gel together to become a tough team. Maybe yes maybe no. Just like what you said, they aren't fully healthy since the start of the season. THT just cleared to play, and the Lakers still have Ariza who hasn't played a single game this season.
So, I guess they have still a chance to change the system from what we have seen from them so far.

Right, it's a very close game for them, even if they win, it's almost that they are in the brink of defeat. Sometimes they will take a huge lead, then lost in the 4th quarter and then they have to regain it back again. So they really need to get their act together, of course, WB has a triple double, but we need to see more of those to say that the Lakers are really going to be a dominant team in the West. So far that title belongs to Steph and his Warrior team.
2939  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: November 11, 2021, 12:26:33 PM
Thats great news for Emma Raducanu and her fans. Finaly she seems to have made
a very good move to team up with Torben Beltz.

https://www.theguardian.com/sport/2021/nov/09/emma-raducanu-torben-beltz-tennis-coach-upper-austria-ladies-linz

Quote
Emma Raducanu has confirmed that Torben Beltz, the former long-time coach of Angelique Kerber,
will be her new coach as she prepares for her first full season on tour in 2022

Hopefully we will see her game develop in 2022 with some consistent wins and a good
development of her skills.
Torben was quite successful when trained Kerber, Kerber can win the GS and reach first rank so it was reasonable for Raducannu to choose him as coach. We'll see how she is in the 2022 season if she can maintain performance because the pressure will be stronger and any result will always be in the media spotlight.

Yeah, good choice by Raducanu, hopefully he can be guided by Torben, similar on how he successfully trained Kerber to go to the next level. 2022 will be a good year for this young and upcoming players.

I know women's tournaments don't get much attention, but I'm interested in betting on the WTA. Guadalajara
M. Sakkari vs. I. Swiatek and A. Sabalenka vs. P. Badosa Gibert, all in over.

Will look into this ladies tournaments, I just took some time off and I'm back.

Thanks for your pick, yes, I agree this could be over as this match is very even.
2940  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: November 08, 2021, 06:34:34 AM
That Clippers game was something else. They finished on a 27-4 run to comeback and beat the Charlotte Hornets. After the game the coach for the Hornets said they were just missing shots at the end of the game and there was no other explanation for the breakdown… Paul George had another great night, barely missing a triple double with 20-9-8 as his final stat line.

Surprised though to see the Clippers big comeback against the Charlotte.

But I become shy, It could have been a good win for me (forget the odds when they are down by 2 digits). And who else are going to lead but Paul George, good numbers.

We've seen some teams collapsing in the 4th quarter, whether in their backyard or not. And it makes the game more exciting.
