1961  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: July 25, 2022, 02:40:04 AM
I did not see that defeat of Alcaraz coming. He seemed to be able to easily win today, especially when you see how he easily won the previous rounds. And he was also placed 1st this tournament. I have no idea how good today's opponent was. We have often seen players in the past who are mayflies. We haven't seen much of him at Roland Garros, for example. It's all preparation for the US open, where Djokovic will in any case not appear at the start  Cool

Yeah, I wasn't able to watch, but the last time I check Alcaraz was like 1.12 as betting favorite. Too bad for those who bet huge money on him and thinking this is an easy game.

I have to check what @Trofo is describing though, might be controversial to me. I'm not saying that Musetti cheats or what, but could be a question of sportsmanship? I don't know, most likely borderline.
1962  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Haney vs Kambosos II (Undisputed) on: July 24, 2022, 08:37:51 AM
Kambosos wants to focus, if he will fight another boxer, he has to study the style of that certain boxer, so it's better if he will just fight Haney as he is already familiar with his style, it's still fresh on him and that motivation is on him trying to bounce back after a very embarrassing loss.
If Kambosos is winning this fight, I think we can call lightweight division is full of manipulation and roller coaster since there's many boxer which only fought for single match can take 3-4 belts from his opponents lol.

The first is Lopez, the second is Kambosos, now the third is Haney. I'm not sure how many fights needed for Haney to prove if he's deserve to become undisputed champion, but I hope he will fight against both Lomachenko and Tank.

For Haney to be called undisputed, he needs to clean up the division as you have said, beat Kambosos again, then Tank and then Loma which for me is still the best in this division despite the lack of fight because of what is going on in his native land.

So if he can do that, then no doubt he can surpassed Loma and then defend the belt for those upcoming fighters. And as others have speculated, this is another win for him as the fight will be the same as the first one.
1963  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: There is a new scam going around on Twitter, WHY THOUGH?!? on: July 24, 2022, 08:04:44 AM
These scams are very rare these days because price of ETH gas for transactions is very low. You can send a erc20 token now for $0.50-$1.00 and nobody runs these scams because at best they steal a few pennies.

Someone sends $1 worth of ETH into the account, they immediately make a transaction using $0.50 worth of ETH and their profit is like $0.50.

Back then you needed like $50 at least for an USDT transfer and people sent usually $100 worth of ETH. And for TRX network it’s fees are in the pennies so this scam is not vert smart in my opinion.

Yeah, but still though, imagine if hundreds or thousands fell into this scam, could be worth something for scammers right? no effort whatsoever on their side, just looking at their address if they scam someone again.

And I have heard this scam or at least research it after seeing this, yeah it's all over the social media now and scammers are cashing this simple but yet very effective way to make money out of those innocent victims.
1964  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 23, 2022, 10:42:51 PM
^^ I guess it's just a question of Booker's mentality though, I rated him above Tatum couple of years ago, but right now, it seems that Tatum is more clutch than him specially with the way their series with Dallas turns out.

So let's see if he can go back next season with a lot of pride and prove something in return. He is still in his prime, can average 25 ppg++ and be on the top of the scoring list. He just need to be consistent and have that Black Mamba mentality.
I was just about to mention Tatum too but I read this first.  Cheesy Comparison, Tatum is more effective on both ends of the floor. That's the difference.
Booker is too focused on his offense and forgets about how defense will help their team too. They cannot just rely with Jae Crowder and the Warden. He is the weakest link on that side.
So, his escape is to be better on shooting but it seems like he is not yet ready to be a champion.
Game 4. That's the only time he won in points against Luka. But if we sum up the other stats of Luka like assists and rebounds, he won't even be near.
What is lacking? Both are young, height is almost identical but it seems Luka can do everything.

Basketball IQ is Luka's advantage in this league, as he said it is much easier to score in an NBA as compare to Euro League wherein he sharpen his skills. He was exposed to that so when he arrived in NBA slight adjustment on his side but he can score anything he want. others might say he is slow, but he is still very effective with that kind of move. It's very calculated and then he has that clutch in him, as compare to Booker who doesn't have as of this time. All he want is to score and doesn't have that defense in himself.
1965  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Haney vs Kambosos II (Undisputed) on: July 23, 2022, 01:31:24 PM
I would have agreed with Arum that Kambosos fight another opponent first before facing Haney once again. That would have refreshed him a bit before fighting once more against the only man that beat him. But this is his decision. I hope he and his team has already studied his bad loss in the hands of Haney and devised plans and strategies to counter Haney's style.

The first match was a boring domination of Haney. Kambosos only got 2-4 rounds. He was apparently helpless in that match. He couldn't get inside. I hope he will be able to bring the fight on against Haney in this rematch and take the undisputed title.

He wants to avenge his losses immediately, he cannot wait so let's see if he had already figured out how to win. It's hard to beat Haney due to his defensive technique, he is like Mayweather but if Kambosos really found the formula, it should not be a problem winning the fight. Hopefully we will not get bored again regardless of the outcome.

Yeah, probably this is one of the reason why he chooses to go on a revenge match against Haney. His pride and ego take the best of him so he immediately jump on the gun, and activated the rematch clause. Arum could only advise Kambosos, the decision is still with George and for him this is the right decision. So I'm expecting another trash talk in the press conference. Not sure how George will response since he lost the first fight already as he also has a loud and big mouth.
1966  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: July 23, 2022, 12:59:02 PM
Thiem success was put to an end in the semis, as he was dominated by Berrettini.

Same with the match between Ruud and Ramos Vinolas. Both Ruud and Berrettini won setting up the finals match. And they didn't give any chance against their opponents as they completely demolished them. I thought that it will be a close semis, but both won in 2 sets. Ruud even have 6-0 win against Ramos Vinolas. Berrettini 6-1 against Thiem.
1967  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Gerry cansler from sec and crypto on: July 22, 2022, 11:22:04 PM
Yeah, and if I'm not mistaken, as far as what they level Bitcoin and Ethereum in 2017-2018 but are not been labelled as securities. So obviously, they don't have a control over it. But now it seems that SEC is changing their tune because of Gensler? I agree he is going bananas, and will just spin out everything so that they will have the authority to two of the biggest prime movers in crypto. And this is not good for us enthusiast, both are not tokens that can be used to pump and dump and no one has control over the price and it's hard to be manipulated.
1968  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Teofimo Lopez vs Pedro Campa - Aug 13 on: July 22, 2022, 11:02:10 PM
No surprised with the odds for Lopez, it seems that sport bookies has totally put him in front with that huge odds. Again, this is just an early list, so it's better to look for other options.

It's no justice for Campa, but he is unknown and just not on Lopez level so crypto bookies might have this in mind that's why they put Campa as a huge underdog against hard hitting Lopez. So we will see if they got it right or Campa has something in his mind and derail Lopez entry into the 140 lbs.

But as you have said, better wait for other betting listing, for sure there will be some juicy odds that we can find for Lopez, unlike the ML which is we don't like.
1969  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 22, 2022, 10:44:32 PM
Just let the man prove his worth this upcoming season because we saw that he was clearly struggling and he is not averaging the same figures that he did a few years back but there's a reason for that, as we know, the NBA changed some rules so that Harden cannot have many free throws he wanted because he's using fouls to make free points unguarded.
Anyway, let's see what is the improvement of the 76ers this time.
Harden is the type of player that never won and played very well, and there are many like that. The most famous one is Utah Jazz back in the day with Stockton and Malone, they never won a ring, hell even when Malone went to three-peat Lakers just to win a ring, they still ended up losing that year.

Westbrook and CP3 are also in the list of valuable players along with Harden who don't have a ring until now, I think these 3 mentioned names are the remaining players in their generation who haven't got a ring that is still playing up to present and the rest had already also retire without it. Now, I'm kind of curious which of these 3 has the most chances to win its first ring before they retire? Mine is CP3.

Those 3 names mentioned above do belong to a heavy teams in the league, the competition has gotten tight and I'm looking forward that at least one of them can grab a title.

Well CP3 was close with the Suns against the Bucks 2 season ago and I will agree that yeah, amongst the 3 he still has a good chance. (1) his games has not yet deteriorated as compare to Westbrook and Harden (2) still a good team with Phoenix, (3) mentality to chase that ring.

So if he remains healthy, and then Booker and Ayton had a break out season and bring the Suns to another 60+ games record, chances are they might push it all the way again with CP3 doing his thing.
1970  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Haney vs Kambosos II (Undisputed) on: July 22, 2022, 12:34:39 PM
I didn't vote for anyone because I don't know how it will go.I know that in every sporting event there is the favorite and the underdog but while this can be true in sports like soccer where they fight eleven vs eleven in boxing or direct fight between two persons I almost never bet because at the night of the match we don't know the real physical form of the athletes, thus making it almost impossible to guess it right.

The fact that may have a huge dis-balance on odds between one and the other doesn't say anything to me except the bookies belief, how many times we have seen people in tennis lose when they have an odd of 1.10,it is because of the same reason I said above,we can't know for sure the physical form of the contenders.

Well it's not the first time that this fighters are going to face each other, so at least if you have seen the first fight, you will have an idea on how this fight might be. But you have a point, maybe Kambosos will adjust and make things correct in this rematch.

As far as the odds, crypto bookies got it right on the first time, putting Haney as favorite if I'm not mistaken. Both physical form could be equal, they train very hard, it's a matter of how they are going to executed everything in the ring and who has the IQ to adapt.
1971  Economy / Speculation / Re: Effect of Tesla bitcoin sale not significant on: July 22, 2022, 12:04:44 PM
If I'm not mistaken, it's not like the went to the public and then sold. They have sold already months ago and this is why the price goes down hard, just one reason together with the Luna crash.

So when the news come out, there is no significant impact, we are just tired of hearing news from Elon Musk that all of us didn't bother at all with this news.
1972  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: July 21, 2022, 11:21:16 PM
^^I agree, Garcia was one of the best welterweight in his prime, become a champion and if I'm not mistaken, lost the belt to Spence. So we will see both fighters that I would say still have some in their tank in 154 lbs specially for Danny "Swift" Garcia who is going up in another division to maybe chase another belt. I think though he bet Porter, he has really very choosy on that fight, not letting his hands go but when he does, it usually was in target. But we all know how Porter his, swarming his opponents and then throwing volume punches and that is enough for the judges to give him a close win. So hopefully Garcia again can renew his career at this division. I don't like his Father though, him and Teo Sr.
1973  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Crawford vs Spence on: July 21, 2022, 11:00:50 PM
^^Well that's what we fans are seeing it, Spence is afraid to face Crawford and get his first lost. Because him or part of his team keeps delaying it. And then goes to the public saying otherwise, but then Crawford will contradict all they said. So we become so frustrated with him not making the promises after the Ugas fight that he will fight Crawford for the unification before his desire to move up in 154 lbs to chase more money against Charlo.
1974  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: July 21, 2022, 12:53:03 PM
Hard fought match, but Thiem pull through with a big win against Delbonis. It was close in the first set, and I thought that Thiem might lose in the tie-break. But when he won at the score of 8-6, I knew that he can overcome Delbonis easy on the 2nd set and that's what he did, at 6-3.

Let's see the Gasquet vs #2 Berrettini later, maybe this will go on 3 sets and Gasquet might pull another surprised run again.
1975  Other / Archival / Re: Are you ready to see Bitcoin at $10 000? on: July 20, 2022, 10:49:59 PM
If Russia Ukraine war don't impact on Economy all over the world, I do not expect Bitcoin downfall $10,000 in any way. If the current bullish trend continues as the market has been behaving positively for the past couple of days, we will soon see Bitcoin level at $27000 or $28000. Many experts believe that btc will stable at $27000.
Don't you think that growth has begun and will continue like last year from July? Do you think bitcoin will pump to $200,000?

$200k? not sure if that is a mistake or if you are talking about the next bull price.

Anyhow, we just had a good rebound, price is going crazy in the last couple of days and hitting $24k and obviously the next would be around $28k max for this month.

But we will have to wait, seems that there are a lot of sellers when we hit that $24k levels. So we might have to wait for $10k if that is the price that majority of us are going to buy huge amount of BTC.
1976  Economy / Speculation / Re: Which crypto Youtuber called the top at 60-69k and told they would sell? on: July 20, 2022, 10:18:00 PM
Take everything with a grain of salt if you see this so called crypto Youtuber. And I guess everyone should make their analyst on when to sell and when to buy.

And for sure, if you have a poll here, many community members doesn't follow these Youtuber because you really don't where their advise is coming from, maybe they do good TA, but still it doesn't mean they should be trusted or whatnot. And remember that they are also making money from Youtube, so they may say whatever their viewers wanted to hear.
1977  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Macau's Casino Operation Continues Despite The Latest Outbreak on: July 20, 2022, 09:41:46 PM
There has been a lot of variants, but it seems that the vaccine is effective so we try to get back to our normal lives just like any countries like in Mcau.

So for sure, the casino's there are still operating 100% despite the report of the new variants. Of course precautions is needed and we must be all aware of this safe practice by now. Even in other countries, businesses have open up in the last three months or so, everything is trying to get back at their feet.
1978  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: July 20, 2022, 01:15:13 PM
A nice game developing between Carreno-Busta and Alex Molcan. Alex taking the lead now 5-2 in the first set, and If I'm not mistaken, Carreno-Busta was the favorite as far as betting goes.

Haven't bet on this tournament yet as I'm looking at the Thiem vs Delbonis at the Switzerland tournament. I wanted to see if Thiem has recovered already. I might do a multi betting with him at handicap and on the Rudd vs Lehecka match.
1979  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 20, 2022, 12:43:37 PM
.... I can't believe the Suns earlier planned to let go of Ayton.
It's all part of negotiations in business. I read that Ayton was eligible for a $179 million contract and it's safe to say his agent pushed for that figure. The Suns were patient enough and explored other options until the $133 Million offer from Pacers. Ayton and his agent probably realized they couldn't squeeze more so they just settled with that amount. Suns management played their card well and got him at a cheaper price.

Yeah, but still it doesn't make sense. I mean we could clearly see that it has affected Ayton's performance last year to the point that he has to be bench in the decisive game 7. And just one year ago, you can see that he really made it almost to the top if not for his inexperience playing against the athletic and freak Giannis. So $133 m is a lot of money and he has to thank the Pacers for that offer, because now the Suns know that Ayton is worth keeping for and hopefully his relationship is not tainted with the managements and the coaching staff.
As long as he stays with the team, he needs to fix that relationship if there's already a problem. He has to be professional and give the expectation of the management, he is still young, there's still a bright future ahead of him, so who knows maybe he get max when he renew.
Time to prove that he  worth that contract, for sure the demand coming from the fans force the management to keep him.

I mean the negotiations regarding to trades are all over the internet and most around social media channels, fans are the big

influencer as sales of merchandize and the ticket  will be affected if the management will not listen to them, and yes it's a business

Ayton and his camp just take the advantage of the situation to maximize his value.

Even before this big contract, Ayton had already proven his worth to the team, so I guess there's nothing to prove more, he just have to continue playing hard and must be healthy so he could help his team all the time.

Yes, but the Phoenix is not yet sold right? that's why he wasn't offered a big payday 2 years ago.

And we are just confused because we all know that he has proven his worth with the Suns average almost 20 points and 10 rebounds if I'm mistaken. And as others have said, it takes an offer from Pacers to realized how big Ayton is for them and in NBA in general as the Pacers are willing to give him that big amount of money.
1980  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo vs Golovkin 3 (September 17) on: July 18, 2022, 04:50:35 AM
Fans would want to see the fight ending in a KO rather than the decision so once and for all controversy will be over. Both GGG and Canelo are great fighters and they have their own fan-based, so we cannot really prevent from people thinking that the decision was not fair because as a fan we are sometimes biased.

I think a KO match won't happen as both will try to avoid it. During their first two fights, both shown that they don't want to be KO and just try to remain stronger on their feet. But even the KO result will not happend, I think they will give us a good fight as they know what fans want to see them once they face each other on the ring.

It's not that they are going to avoid it, if the KO present itself, boxers can't stop it specially if they are caught napping. But both have a granite chin, so whoever touches it, even a natural 175 lbs like Bivol didn't put a dent on Canelo's chin. Same with GGG, he has.a solid chin as well and throughout his career, he was never knock down.

So it's hard to see to see the fight ending that way. It will still be up to the judges again for sure. However, as we discussed pages ago, judges might be biased for Canelo as proven in their last 2 fight.
