301  Other / Off-topic / Re: Does having children have an influence on gambling habits? on: March 29, 2024, 06:59:19 PM
When you have one or more children, you have heavy responsibilities. Sometimes you're on a tight budget. Can being a parent change our playing habits? Are losses even harder to bear when you're in charge of a family? What are your experiences in this area?
If we are going to say raising a family burdens you financially, then gambling shouldn't even be something to consider as a responsible parent/guardian... because if the tight budget you working with you blow your account, this means twice the hustle to replace what's lost and you don't want this..and if you constantly  worrying about losing then gambling isn't for you as bad and good days do exist.

But in an instance were you have some free resources available..and just because one has to raise kids doesn't mean you can't spend a few bucks on yourself... besides a healthy mind needs to rest & energize to have the strength for tomorrow.. otherwise stick to your limits and you should be okay.
302  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What's happening to kucoin? on: March 29, 2024, 03:14:50 PM
Am pretty sure Kucoin being in the business for such a long time know how to deal with such issues and it won't be the last either!
It's just unfortunate that it's its own users that spread all this FUD to try cause some panic in the markets that could cause the dumping of coins which is nothing to celebrate about.. Tbh I wouldn't be surprised if these are hired guns trying to siphone it's users to themselves especially that they are among the big exchanges we have atm .

Otherwise, bad news affecting an entity such as Kucoin actually trickles down to everyone having an interest in cryptocurrencies and we shouldn't celebrate this hurdle.. Just hope this ends with a fine and we move on.

304  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you been kicked out of a casino? on: March 29, 2024, 10:55:56 AM
Have you been in this situation before?
It's a pleasure to hear your story.
Not in a brick and mortar setup... but on an online platform as I used a strategy I found online to play some casino games and fortunately for me was winning regularly with this YouTube strategy... but in the end casinos support told me not to gamble with them anymore because of this & I closed ties with them as it was clear winners aren't welcome... and btw that casino is here on the forum  Grin

I think I was technically kicked few times from online casino. I guess it was due to my internet connection and lags, so I restarted page several times and god banned for 5 or 10 minutes. Can this be considered as kicked?
Technically I wouldn't count this, this sounds like cloudfare not giving you aceess to a platform for whatever technical reason..

I cant imagine what a person must do to get kicked if he isnt drunk or under something else. Guards can always chill such people. But to get kicked, person must be really stupid to continue misbehaving after being warned few times.
Gross misconduct always gets people kicked out, and worse off if you aren't a high roller you will certainly be shown the door.... Cheating players do also get kicked out and if it gets to the worst get a ban...
305  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Going all in and losing the bet on: March 29, 2024, 08:51:42 AM
Then I was greeted with Ace card, minimal possibility for equal card right (i.e, Ace), so I go all in, and guess what happens, the result is Ace means I lost the bet.

Then I have all sorts of thoughts blaming casino, like do they manipulate the result of the game when user goes all in. I am sure they are all fair, it's just that the possibility of losing the game may be minimal but it's never 0.
One or two people running out of luck and losing a hand in this fashion is normal, and that is all part of gambling but the fact that we all have experienced this can't be a coincidence  Roll Eyes which leaves that impression of manipulation by the house because it's always that all in bet and it's over for you !!!
But then again, gambling is a game of chance and if you go "all in", your winning and losing chances stand at a 50-50 probability and we can't blame the house which is why proper risk management is a must to play the long game!!

I think Hi-Lo is a simple card game and also a popular game played in online casinos, where players have to guess whether the next card will be higher or lower and use a random number generator. So there is no guarantee that we can guess the next card, and in my opinion there is no strategy to win in this game because this game really relies on luck
As long as a player isn't selfish or greedy , and with the right bank balance you can actually win, because we have strategies out there that have been tried and tested that players have used to walk out with a profit. .. For example the infamous martingale is underrated but in the right hands is a killer strategy that players can use.
306  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin to the common man. on: March 29, 2024, 04:12:07 AM

But with all the challenges faced by the average man, many have given up hope in this light(Bitcoin) .
Patience is one key factor to acquiring success through Bitcoin .
Bitcoin is a lot of thing's and not limited to be used as an asset to invest in that will put your patience to the test, for a common man that's living in a country with a dying currency that is in free fall..you will appreciate a digital currency such as Bitcoin that has no boarders and is understood by everyone and can ease your burden of trade and stabilize the exchange of goods and services, otherwise if you have joined the Bitcoin world for the wrong reasons, you won't see any good in it!!

If only the common man would have to be patient, then a guarantee of life long success can be attainable.
Patience is an attribute that very few people out there have and takes experience in the markets for one to develop it at the least , but whatever the case to survive in these markets one way or another it does come like a 6thd sense!!
307  Other / Meta / Re: [Theymos] To reduce tension from adding more merits source on: March 28, 2024, 07:34:33 PM
Your proposal is not different than reduce requirement for Full member rank to 70 or 80 earned merit. So why don't propose to reduce the requirement?
Seems we took the long route when the shortcut was as discribed above ,  "reduce the requiremen" Roll Eyes

And I think constant airdrops could complicate the process and create a problem for the mods with threads such as when is my airdrop, where is my merit and this is not the time for self inflicted problems...and btw, proposal to reduce rank requirements isnt a bad idea, but is the current system broken..I dont think so and the fact that the forum is here to stay no need to rush the process lets keep it as is as it wont be fun chatting with legends everywhere  Tongue!!

308  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Don't make your bets when you're tired on: March 28, 2024, 06:20:23 PM
Totally agree, and I think we have several supporting evidence to stop people from doing this, but I guess most players love to push their luck just to prove a point and learn the hard way.. by losing their funds to the house!!

Btw, gambling while feeling tired is as good as being intoxicated which disadvantages you as you get impatience most of the time which is a recipe for failure, you have no voice of reason and ultimately just become over confident to the point of going all in and throwing out the art of risk management just because you want to win in a fast way.

Emotional stress is one of the biggest thing that could actually affect anyone when gamble because you would need every part of your brain to be functional and active when playing
Guess this is the phase gamblers get into zombie mode and play without reasoning, total disaster!!!

310  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Rich or poor gambler, who should risk more? on: March 27, 2024, 10:20:55 PM
I don't know about other people's gambling experience,  and I will tell that if you want to win... limit the number of games on the betslip to tilt the odds in your favour and put a decent amount of money that you can afford to lose, but the second you choose to inflate your winnings by making  some insane accumulator your winning chances are lowered instantly !!!

So coming back to the topic, I assume if the Rich gambler isn't taking risky bets then they are more likely to be profitable unless they are greedy which guarantees a bust , but for the other person without the needed funds to stake.. for a tangible profit to be realised they are likely to take  much higher risk as they try to win big from smaller amounts.
311  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who among you here is gambling at work? on: March 27, 2024, 09:50:58 AM
I worked in an online casino before in my country, since our platform was new at that time, our bosses gave us money on our account to try and play different games from different gaming platforms. Try the platform before it is released. And as time passed by and our platform was released,
Perphaps your boss wanted you guys to beta test the platform and report any bugs and the alike which I don't understand as game provider does this before giving it out to casino's etc...Or maybe the boss just wanted you guys to pass time and familiarise yourself with the games so that you help new players one doors are open to the public... otherwise this is more of not gambling at work as this was part of your Job, hope you won some big multipliers  Wink

one of my co-worker still plays, but this time on different platforms. I was not sure if it's allowed but our manager just let him play since he is the one who bring lots of profit in the company. I may no longer work there but still it's a fun experience to try out and play different platforms as if you are really playing with your own money.
Guess your co-worker got hooked to gambling while beta testing, but how does he manage to gamble and mix work together  Roll Eyes Hope his 100% accountable for money on his till because gambling has alot of temptations that can make you use money that was meant for something else to be used here.

Ukraine is something else at the moment, just when I thought Iceland would try to hold their 1st half lead till somewhere around the 60th minute when goals usually come but the comeback kings had other ideas, first half goal disallowed and then ~9 minutes from the break of the the first half these guys equalise and I had my fingers crossed that they would play extra time and win it from there...but that 84th Mudryk goal just denied me a valuable point and am now waiting for a Wales qualification to get on the scoreboard, let's go team Wale's, can't lose two valuable points in a role!!!
316  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ UEFA Euro 2024 in Germany ⚽ - Qualifiers on: March 26, 2024, 06:20:47 PM
60 minutes into the game and we have only one goal on target in the Georgia vs Greece game Roll Eyes, not sure if the stage the competition has got simply produces less to no goals but this is definitely a boredraw...but then again such games can easily change in a blink of an eye shoulf a goal come, which will force the other team to want to equalise and tie the game, otherwise I have seen more cards in this came than goals & hope this will change soon.

Inplay prediction Georgia 1-0 Greece

** Come on Ref/VaR save us from this boredraw**

318  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: March 26, 2024, 10:49:39 AM
The deal that may be very hot in the near future is the race to sign Everton's Jarrad Branthwaite. In addition to Real Madrid paying attention to him, Premier League giants are also jumping into the race including Mancity, Man Utd, and Tottenham. It can be said that this deal is making the Premier League fight. Everton only accepts to sell people if they receive at least 60 million pounds. Jarrad Branthwaite is a product of Everton's own training facility, very young, only 21 years old and of British nationality. He has had a pretty good season despite Everton fighting a relegation battle.
I believe Branthwaite's career would have improved a lot if he had been transferred to a bigger club like Mancity. In the past, Mancity also took John Stones - a player also produced from the Everton training facility. Thanks to working with Pep, Stones has been raised. This is also something that Branthwaite should consider.

One thing I know English player's play for, is their dream to be called for internationals and get regular playtime in an England jersey...if Jarrad Branthwaite was to get to sign for Real Madrid, I think his chances to make it to the England team get slim  because the league isn't watched as much and maybe not at par as the EPL unless you are a Jude Bellingham who's made a name for himself in Spain.

Otherwise joining neighbouring clubs such as Man City, Man Utd, and Tottenham this gets you in a competitive league and if your ball game is good, chances of getting a Southgate call to the England team are also high as fans do get to see their big performers.

So for me, I see this lad remaining in the EPL!!

320  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Stop gambling if you don’t have free time to do it on: March 25, 2024, 07:09:28 PM
I’m always a victim of this mistake before when I’m still allure on online casino. I keep playing every night after work. I always play until midnight which makes me consume most of my rest time for my job preparation tomorrow.
Sorry to say, but you sir need some quality rest!!! And if. In your daily gambling dates you haven't been winning, I would suggest you stay off your gambling table for say a month just to allow your mind to rest and have a different perspective on gambling altogether!!
Lastly change your gambling time table so that it doesn't negatively affect your productivity at work..say maybe stick to weekend gambling.

This is an advice based on my experience, don’t ever insert gambling on your schedule if you really don’t have free time for it because it will always result to disaster in both gambling and your life.
They say time is money, so this whole free time tag doesn't do for me, but weekends are a good time to give gambling a shot and if you are into Sportsbetting you will get some quality games from the big leagues... otherwise take that time off gambling or find a hobby that can take up that free time you have.
