I've had a couple of dealings with FatManTerra, he seems like a reasonable guy.
Doesn't look like anyone reasonable would invest his life savings into stupid shitcoin, and then trying to teach everyone about Bitcoin privacy. I don't care what kind a deal you had with him, but I obviously need to check history of anyone who claims something about Bitcion and(or Chipmixer. If Craig Wright say something I always have to go back to his Faketoshi history, and I don't find his words relevant, it's the same thing for this Fat guy. So it has everything to do with Chipmixer because he was the one who mentioned it, I was not talking about Terra because I never used that crap. Sure, he can have his own opinion, but it's not only his anymore when he shares that in public on twitter.

Did anyone noticed Cryptochanger.to exchange topic in Service Announcements? They created topic on November 11 and they are updating it all the time with some bogus shitcoins addition, but they are always keeping thread locked, and don't allow any questions or conversation: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5420515.0cryptochanger.to member: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=3515460I think is is borderline scam behavior and I think member who posted this topic should be given negative feedback for this, but I want to ask other DT members first. That is why I added my neutral review until I hear from you guys, so please examine this ''exchange'' and see if people should be warned about cryptochanger.to. cryptochanger.to Updated 1 second ago Domain: cryptochanger.to Created on: Wed Aug 17 09:37:09 2022 Last edited on: Thu Aug 25 02:21:07 2022 Expires on: Thu Aug 17 09:37:09 2023 Primary host add: None Primary host name: emerson.ns.cloudflare.com Secondary host add: None Secondary host name: sandy.ns.cloudflare.com Archive: https://archive.ph/WAPZxOne more thing I should add, this is their duplicate second topic, so they are breaking forum rules with creating duplicate topic in same section. Second topic was created on November 6 and it was first open for discussion but then also locked: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5419625.0They claim that bitccointalk forum is unmoderated?! Very inconvenient for them We will close the thread since the forum is unmoderated which is inconvenient.

They don't update it because they don't want to. I don't think so, and even if they wanted to keep everything perfect it would be impossible to make everyone happy in crazy world we live today, including kyc regulations. They probably have financial benefit and percentage earning from listing all exchanges on their website, but they said in public that they can't guarantee anything, so there is always a risk using this exchanges. I think you still have a chance to provide some documents (one way or another) and send them to this exchange, yes I know this sucks.

First time I see this CoinGecko phishing scam, and it's interesting that you can't do anything on website until you connect shitcoin wallets like metamask or walletconnect . Even clicking on X in right corner is not doing anything, so my ultimate suggestion would be to stop using shitcoins and their wallets to avoid scams like this. Even normal metamask is tracking your IP address and everything you do, and who knows where all this information is going. There is obvious spelling mistake in domain name and it was created yesterday so everything is clear: Domain Name: couingecko.click Registry Domain ID: DO_288685375a0ea59fbdd94c6f027f2075-UR Registrar WHOIS Server: whois.epik.com Registrar URL: www.epik.comUpdated Date: 2022-12-02T12:40:09.261Z Creation Date: 2022-12-02T12:01:56.471Z Registry Expiry Date: 2023-12-02T12:01:56.471Z Registrar: Epik Inc. Registrar IANA ID: 617 Registrar Abuse Contact Email: email@epik.comSimilar domains are used and probably owned by same scammers, as website structure is the same: coingeckgo.click cooingecko.click boggedfiniance.click

I don't know what happens if we feed the AI with LoyceV post, but I guess the AI could imitate his writing style, language nuances, lateral humor etc.
Oh no! We don't need more LoyceV words cloning and multiplication, but he is probably going to be first to notice someone is using his words and style of writting. Combining post from more good members would probably get better results, but I will say again that any account will be busted when someone ask him a question and start real conversation with him. btw anyone remembers what happened with famous LoyceValenzuela account?

I know that Bitcoin is changing... and the recent release of Bitcoin Core is 24. However, since I lack knowledge on coding I am curious what major changes were made to the Bitcoin. Is the block structure is the same? What about consensus protocol? I appreciate if someone could explain those changes in plain English with examples.
Core principles and Bitcoin base protocol didn't change, but there was a lot of bug fixes and small improvements since early Satoshi days. We now have different address types starting with 1, 3, bc1 and recently Taproot protocol was implemented, there is much more wallet clients now. There was several attempts to make bigger hard forks but this only resulted with forked shitcoins with much smaller prices and irrelevant trading volume and transactions. There is no easy way to explain this in a simple way if you don't understand coding, but you can study history of Bitcoin and check out code changes for yourself. You can always check change log from Bitcoin Core to see most important changes: https://bitcoincore.org/en/releases/

We need everyone to report this site to Google so that it will be taken down I don't know why scammers are starting to target this website, and this is not the first time because recently someone posted another similar link in forum with .ch domain name. This is no guarantee that google will take down any website even if lot of people report it, but why stop with IanColeman fake website when we can also report fake ChipMixer website with xyz domain. Ultimate solution would be for google to stop accepting money from scammers for advertisement, but they surely won't do that

Ma joj... Idioti!

If i create a paper wallet , i got a public key and private key. so From using public key we can send BTC from binance. whenever i need to send BTC to binance from paper wallet , How can i do?
With paper wallets you usually have only one receiving public address, just copy that and paste it in Binance exchange, but remember to choose Bitcoin mainnet, not their fake tokens on altcoins chain. I don't understand why you would use paper wallet for withdrawing from centralized exchnage, unless you plan to hold this for long time, but keep in mind that this coins will be connected with your identity (Binance=kyc) if you don't mix them.

I reached out to BitcoinLixin here and twitter over a week ago. He has not been active on here for a while but is on twitter. FYI I think that you can reach him much faster on Keystone discord or telegram channel. Someone else is probably handling their twitter channel, but he has his own accounts for contacts. The device SEEMS secure, but if you can't be sure it's the device that is supposed to be in the box what's the point.
You still need to verify on website to confirm your device is genuine, and I agree they should improve packaging, but don't expect to get better security with better package, or with void stickers. I know you can't open Trezor wallet without destroying packaging, but scammers can easily clone this...especially in China

It looks a bit like a phone booth, but it's a full node made with what I had at home: an old android smartphone and an old 3.5'' hdd
This is very interesting to see, it could be even better than using Rpi if everything works ok, and it is certainly better than to throw away your android phone in garbage. I guess phone needs to be connected to power all the time, but I am wondering how is it handling hard drive space, can you also use 1TB micro SD card or faster SSD drive? It's nice to see code released on github, but you should add license information if it's open source.

Also, what FatManTerra fails to understand is that people do not need to click the donate button. From his thread:
Did anyone check his twitter posts, other than his ChipMixer speculation theory? He joined Twitter in May 2022, he has a lot of followers and he is exposing how crypto scams work, but how can you do that while investing in shit like Terrra. In his own words, he invested heavily in the Terra ecosystem and lost 30% to 40% of his life savings in Terra collapse Now this guy is trying to educate us about ChipMixer, and he probably never used it in his life to see how it works.

The fact that AI-generated content is so difficult to detect suggests that progress in this field has been extremely rapid. It is remarkable how quickly advances are being made in this space.
I don't think it's do difficult to detect posts like this, especially if they are repeating the same style. With few simple questions asked in topic or sent in PM I could quickly determine if I am talking with real member or not. For sure this can happen. And, as far as I can see from the various example I see around, ti might well already be the case. If you search for that, you'll see dozen of AI- based services selling AI generated blog posts, Longform, twitter thread and so on.
If this is really the case than we should start reporting posts like that, suspected to be AI generated, in same way we report low quality spam posts. I would even go as far to temp-ban members who are doing this repeatedly, and full ban can be applied for extreme cases.

I know how to erase the computer to factory settings. My concern is that someone would be able to use it to generate the same seed that I created. Is that possible? I'm probably overthinking things, but just want to be sure that the seed I generated on Electrum won't be generated by the next owner of the computer.
There is nothing easier than to generate new seed words (in other device or offline) and transfer your coins to freshly generated addresses that only you can control. However, I would still uninstall Electrum, erase folder and format hard drive, just in case something unexpected happens. If you do all I said there is almost zero chances someone else will have your coins.

Thanks for the suggestion. Yeah, posting to the bitcoin reddit wasn't the best idea . I will definitely get around to posting to r/PrivacyGuides, and I already posted to r/CryptoCurrency. Don't give up so easily and don't get discouraged I think you received much better constructive replies from Monero community, and r/CryptoCurrency are known for deleting posts if you don't have enough of their ''karma'' or whatever is called. r/Bitcoin can be pretty strict and focused only on Bitcoin and development around it, mining, and maybe with few added news but that's about it.

Noted. Will update this on website.
@Nmnsth can you confirm this information I found on internet, that you raised $1 million in your campaign and can you tell us why you did this? Is this old news or you working on some new model of hardware wallet, more functionality for current model or money will be invested in marketing and spreading word about Cypherock? Creating some campaign for reviewing your device, and being more active in Bitcointalk forum could be a good thing. https://mctech.live/hardware-wallet-startup-cypherock-raises-1-mn/

Very weird hardware wallet if you ask me, since it depends on a splitted seed that is only stored at four cards. If you need to set up a new hardware wallet you can not put on the seed in just any device but you have to hope that they are still on the market in that moment. Also you are lost if the card is not readable anymore in maybe 20+ years.
I think this approach is much safer than what most other hardware wallets are using today, especially if they are closed source black boxes. Some DIY signing devices are also using this approach of not storing keys and secrets on device, but you import them quickly with QR codes, or slower manually. I am not supporting or defending Cypherock, but they are doing something in a differently and I applaud for that. By the way, thank you for this very helpful thread.
This information should still be verified, don't trust me aka some random geek on internet that could be wrong I just wanted to know this information myself and I couldn't find it anywhere, so I decided to collect everything in one topic.

As a matter of fact, Chinese local board used to be among the most active ones and then in the mid 2018 their numbers fell down drastically. Japanese used to be active as well, but around the same time their numbers went down as well.
I didn't know that, but I usually didn't check activity in other local boards, until you started posting your regular monthly reports. Do you have some stats about that, or could you maybe create special end of the yearly report for all local boards from the time of their creation? For example you can show what local board was most active in 2014, 2015, 2016 ... right up until 2022. Interesting topic about history of local boards in forum, first one created in 2010 was Russian, Spanish and German: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5205448.0
