2361  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Which best for long term investment? Hardware wallet or Software wallet . on: March 09, 2023, 07:59:46 PM
For people who truly want a hardware wallet without giving up real identity, go to the Dark Markets that sell fake I.D. for Bitcoin. Use fake I.D. to open a P.O. Box in your local post office, use the same fake I.D. to buy your hardware wallet from manufacturer's website.
Why would you go through all this hoops of buying fake ID and paying extra for that and PO box when you can probably find perfectly good hardware wallet in your local area or country?
There are official resellers and it would probably be cheaper to go with low cost flight and buy wallet directly in some other country if it's not available in your own.
Paranoid people can always make their own DIY signing devices, from regular devices like RaspberryPi Zero and similar devices.
2362  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Wallet that allows Multiple Mnemonics on: March 09, 2023, 07:50:43 PM
No, lets say I am managing 100 peoples crypto wallets... if that makes people understand better. I would what a place where I can easily view the wallets, transact, swap , etc .. obviously i don't expect to swap and transact all wallets from one screen but at least view all balances.
You are not an exchange, and even they don't have 100 private keys and seed words.
They all use just a few keys and they can generate infinite number of address for their customers...this is obviously much safer.
You can try to be smart doing different thing but I bet you would soon mess sup something managing 100 backups and keys.

I don't even have a safepal hardware wallet, I'm literally only using it for this function. I know my security, we use trezor shamir backups but this is beside the point.
You obviously don't know much about security, since you are using closed source safepal app, and you didn't explain what exactly you want to achieve.
If you already have Trezor just use their own app that is 100 times better, safer and it's open source.
2363  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: At what point exactly do transactions in the mempool start getting purged? on: March 09, 2023, 07:09:04 PM
I have said it a few times, you CAN run a node on a RPi3 you can run a node on a 1st gen i3 with 2 GB of RAM. BUT outside of tinkering you really should not.
Maybe that is true but it's not permanent solution for this mess that was made with ordinals and NFT spam goin on Bitcoin blockchain.
I think it would be good to somehow upgrade Taproot and introduce some limitations that could prevent things like this from happening.
Speaking from non-developer stand point, but this was obvious side effect as result of introducing Taproot fork, nobody want's rollback but we seriously need zo think about one more soft fork.

mempool space is probably keeping track of all unconfirmed transactions but has its own algorithm to compute the default "Purging" fee rate.
Timechain calendar is showing the Purge, along with all other information shownon Mempol.space website.

2364  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: [unofficial] CoinDebit NO-KYC pre-paid cards? on: March 09, 2023, 06:14:43 PM
So that means you need to register an address for it while using a US IP address, right?
You don't need to add your physical address for CoinDebit  virtual cards, but they opened beta applications only for IP address from US, so they might refuse to issue card for you with different IP address.
I would also use separate temporary email for registration instead of regular email address, to reduce any potential leaks in future.

That'll make it like a Walmart card then.
No they won't, this can be used almost anywhere, it's not  a gift card.

Though I am not sure how hard it will be to expand to non-US merchants, considering that worldwide prepaid cards have become quite hard to find nowadays.
I am sure that even now people applied for CoinDebit cards from countries outside US, so they will check if everything works or not during this beta phase.

I am missing my Copper Membership that was paid for.
You should first double check if receiving address was correct, but what fees you used when you sent your coins?
Mempool is really full right now (blame it on ordinals) with many unconfirmed txn, so you either wait until transaction is confirmed or you pay more fees if you used RBF in your transaction.
You can check mempool state on mempool.space or any similar websites.
2367  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Doing some work for Saxydev, Earned $90 but Never received the Payment.  on: March 09, 2023, 03:43:34 PM
Thank you for bringing us back on track, I've been curious as well. Last we know was that Saxydev entrusted all the payment proofs to someone he trust via PM to preserve his identity, despite FatFork explained several times that there will be no way to trace his ID throught the said proofs
I am not giving up just yet.
Maybe we can still track this guy and stop him from scamming other people.

No update  Grin ,
already give up about the money the moment i created the Flag  Smiley
Is it ok for you to send me a PM with your Monero public address so I can confirm that address didn't receive any coins so far, and you can also tell me what wallet exactly you used?
If you want, you can send me all other information you have from Saxydev, including all his accounts in different platforms or email addresses.

PS
I won't reveal any of your informationin public if you don't want that.

2371  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Doing some work for Saxydev, Earned $90 but Never received the Payment.  on: March 08, 2023, 09:14:59 PM
Did anyone realize Rizzrack finally withdrew his opposition towards dkbit98's flag? I wonder why and what changed his mind.
Anyone can do whatever they want with flags, support or oppose and they don't have to give any explanation at all.
Some people learned the hard way when I warned them about scammers, and maybe they can find the truth only after they personally got burned.
It was funny to me that some people thought I was not serious about my deal with Saxydev, but I was serious and he did break a deal.

Let's get back on topic, does anyone know what happened with c0ldbrewz and his Monero payment from Saxydev?

2373  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Foundation Passport Official Thread on: March 08, 2023, 07:49:04 PM
Please test it out (if you're comfortable with a beta release) and report back with any issues, feedback, or suggestions you have! The official release should go live in about 1wk, pending any issues that are discovered in the public beta testing.
I am expecting n0nce will be testing this new firmware, but I like new ability to export multisig configs with QR codes or SD cards.

Maybe you can tell us more about new integration with Bitcoinkeeper app, you posted about that with your twitter account.
I was following them for some time and it looks interesting for multisig setup but I never tested it myself, they support many hardware wallets.
2374  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Wallet that allows Multiple Mnemonics on: March 08, 2023, 07:32:06 PM
If anyone uses the safepal app on android/iphone its honestly the best you can use it for mnemonic imports its not only a cold storage app, and when you load up the app all your balances refresh.
No it's not the best app at all.
Safepal app is closed source junk and I wouldn't use it or recommend it to anyone, same as they hardware wallet device.

Has anyone found a wallet that allows multiple mnemonic recovery phrases to be inputted and view all balances at the same time?
I don't see a single good reason why you would do something like this, and I only see security risks.
Nobody in the right mind is going to follow many addresses for bunch of coins from multiple seed phrases, but you can just track address balance, that is simple solution.
If you want to import multiple phrases you can just use multiple wallets, safest thing would be using multiple hardware wallets.
2375  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [Android App] 🔥 Crypto Analogy - Coin Tracker. Coin Stats. Crypto news & more🔥 on: March 08, 2023, 07:02:14 PM
Crypto Analogy is here to assist you in finding the key coin stats, having the best coin tracker containing thousands of coins like Bitcoin, Ethereum and every other cryptocurrency, discovering various market stats and exploring the most important crypto news.
Is Crypto Analogy app totally free or you have some paid features, and why releasing only version for android and not for iOS?
I try to use mostly open source software and apps, so I would appreciate if you consider releasing your code on github for more transparency and for review.
There are already several alternative apps that are open source and have many features like your app, and I really don't need to read crypto news in app.
2376  Local / Hrvatski (Croatian) / Re: Novosti on: March 08, 2023, 06:43:48 PM
Lako je, postaneš član neke stranke i beskičmenjak bez stava, podmitiš neke ljude i onda sve možeš s puno para  Tongue
2377  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can you 'Will' your bitcoin to your children? on: March 08, 2023, 06:28:57 PM
In a case where you have five children and you don't have much physical assets but you have a enough bitcoin that non of your children are aware of it. Now your age is advancing, you begins to prepare "WILL" and there is no way to divide and share bitcoin account to the five children! What will you do? Since non of them are aware.
It depends if you want to split your Bitcoin to five equal amounts for each child, or you want someone to get more and others less coins.
To avoid all the complications I would split and prepare coins in advance, every kid can receive exact same seed words (12 or 24) but each of them will have unique different passphrase.
That way they could all access one main account, but separate accounts would not be shared between them.
This is easy to do with hardware wallets creating multiple accounts.

Can you "WILL" the private key to your favorite child or call them together and reveal the private key to them? Or what will you do?
I don't think private key alone is safe enough, so it's better to use something like multisig setup.
Whatever option you choose, having multiple backkup options is needed, to avoid single point of failure.
2378  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin scaling problem on: March 08, 2023, 06:19:16 PM
I know that Bitcoin scaling problem develops as more users join bitcoin network but has this problem be resolved and if yes how is it been resolved.
Bitcoin scaling is not problem at all when you learn about Lightning Network and other second layer solutions, that can help a lot and introduce many features not available on Bitcoin mainnet.
I don't see scaling as such a big problem but in pervious years we saw periods with lot of transactions during bull runs, that increased transaction fees, but network still worked.
In fact, Bitcoin is up 99,98% of the time, that is more than any other network in the world since internet was created.

Please can you explain the On-chain, side-chain and off-chain. I don't really understand them and how they work
It's not a simple answer, but you can learn more about all other layers for Bitcoin:

2379  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is a P2P exchange? on: March 08, 2023, 06:13:48 PM
P2P on Binance is a very convenient feature, it is clear that Binance acts as an intermediary, they are like a guarantee that the transaction will be successful. You can also see the rating with the percentage of successful transactions, which is very convenient.
That means that  in case if Binance website is down for whatever reason, there will be no more P2P and all funds could be lost forever.
If you are going to trust CZ with all your personal information and coins just because of convenient features than get ready for rude awakening.
P2P stands for person-to person, not Person-to-Binance-to-Person, but people can use whatever they want and learn the hard way.
2380  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Best and Secure HWW ( Hardwarewallet ) on: March 07, 2023, 05:32:09 PM
What would be your first 3 choices?
Why would you care what are my or someone else three wallet choices?
There are no perfect hardware wallets but anything that is open source and exist for years is good enough, that is Passport, Keystone, Bitbox, and Trezor.
However, you really don't need to buy 3 hardware wallets to create 2 of 3 multisig setup, any old smartphone can work fine as one of co-signer devices.
