Long time reigning UFC welterweight champion Kamaru Usman is ready to go to sleep in a boxing ring for dirty sexy money. Seems like all UFC superstars are willing to get baptized by boxing superstars for good paydays. First McGregor, then Woodley and now both Ngannou and Usman.  By the way, there are only 3 remaining belt holders in light heavyweight since lineal champ Artur Beterbiev already unified the IBF and WBC. Bivol holds the WBA. The WBO holder Joe Smith Jr. already lost to Bivol few years ago but still managed to become champion. And I think Beterbiev and Smith are already in negotiations for a three belt unification war. This means Canelo can collect all these belts in only two fights. Seems like he will be doing a legacy indeed. On the other hand, I believe Canelo will finally win the highest paid athlete this year if he gets past Bivol. |

Bayern Munich won't be champions forever, another team will definitely start to play better. But Bayern has been a very good team in recent years and we don't see much of a German league team that can actually beat this team. Maybe next year Dortmund will have a chance if they make better signings, but probably Bayern will be champions again  It's not that much about being able to play better. It's a lot about the money. Bayern has a dominant position and they acquire talents from their opponents quickly, and by doing that destryoing their opponents teams. As soon as there is some competition emerging you can wait for the news of an offer for their best player by Bayern. Bayern acted very clever in the past and they haven't stopped doing that. The way it currently is you could already bet for Bayern on being the champions for the next 5 years as well. That is exactly how I see it. But you also have to see that it is still the players who sign the contract with Bayern Munich. And that is a point which I don't understand at some of the players. Many young players leave their clubs where they have a good standing. And at Bayern Munich, the competition in the team is so big that they don't make it. So the players have to be a bit more realistic about ithemself. But maybe they a too narcissistic with themself. And even if the players don't make it because of the competition in the team, Bayern has achieved one thing: Weakened the opponent. This is all about the money. Players might have their rights to choose where to play but money matters most of the time. Why renew a contract when Bayern is offering a bigger pay? And when a current team matches Bayern's price, still the latter have better opportunities like endorsements and future deals. And matching an expensive Bayern price will eat a large chunk of a team's salary budget. IMO the best way to make a league competitive is to make realistic salary cap where all teams can afford. And there should also a limit on minimum spending to make sure all teams are utilizing their salary caps. Because in spite of a salary cap, there's still location issues where many players would prefer. |

I am now curious as to which citizens gamble most. It should be the whole betting volume of a country divided by its total citizens. I cannot find one reliable source. Maybe because tourists are flocking to places with the biggest betting volumes like Macau and the US? And that made it harder to account the betting volume per country? So they just come up with many numbers like most losses per adult and country, top gambling revenue per country and so on.

Very surprising indeed. I thought the list will be dominated by the US, Macau (China), Japan, Malta and the UK. I cannot imagine Singapore is top two. Although Singaporeans are the second richest citizens in the world. Their government is trying to discipline its citizens when it comes to gambling. And Singaporeans need to pay entrance fees when they enter a casino which is odd. Well, my country is not on the list. However, if the statistics is taken by continent, then it would have be first country on the list. I am not surprised to see the US topping the list. I am interested in Greece. I am diversifying my bets to gain more experience on this site. Pretty good odds especially to the underdogs in boxing and mma. I was planning to bet on Denver earlier. Getting back from a 1-3 situation is not common to them. I believe this will be a close game and GSW might not cover the spreads if they still win. One thing that only stopped me from betting yet is Denver's lack of firepower. Is their current line up enough? Monte Morris scoring over 20 points in their last game is unusual and he may not reach that score again.
Over the last years in NBA, I think this season's playoffs is one of the most difficult to predict. At least for me. I used to win a lot during playoffs first round matches but currently I am losing.

I also wish to see that, but I think this fight will never going to happen. It must have happened after their second fight, as it was a very controversial fight. That time their skill level of boxing was equal. Now I see that Canelo has advantages over GGG and it wont be fair to have a third fight right now. I really agree on this. Trilogy should've happened right after their two controversial fights. Now I hate seeing this old version of GGG moving up in weight for the first time in his career against a prime Canelo. This time I will bet on Canelo stopping GGG. That's why I am hoping for a Bivol upset against Canelo. One thing I still dont understand, why Canelo choose Bivol instead of Beterbiev? Beterbiev is one step easier than Smith, who Canelo already beat. Bivol is two steps lower than Smith. Because Bivol is easier opponent ?
Canelo belive Bivol is a good match up, and he is a champion, so I understand him. Or, Beterbiev is more dangerous opponent (17 wins, all by KO). That is why Canelo has chosen either easy option/money, or uses Bivol as a preparation for Beterbiev. Or he has several fight left in his contract, he will face Bivol, then someone who will be easy to win, end career and transform into promotor Since Canelo left Oscar dela Hoya's Golden Boy Promotions, he is a free agent and until now wanted it this way. This will allow Canelo to fight on any tv networks and promoters. And since he is a superstar and the biggest draw in boxing, this becomes possible. There were only two best offers for Canelo. Both around a hundred million 2 fight deals. 1. DAZN (Matchroom): Move up to light-heavyweight against WBA champion Bivol. And assuming Canelo wins, he will move back down again to super-middleweight for a GGG trilogy. 2. PBC (Showtime and Fox): First fight will be against the undefeated WBC middleweight champion Jermall Charlo. I can say Bivol is the most difficult and then the young Benavidez, followed by Charlo. GGG is like the bonus easy money here. Why judges use 10 point score system instead of just choosing who won round? If a fighter looses round, it does not matter if he did it with 9-10 or 8-10 score. He has lost that round anyway. But this 2 point difference, can play a significant role in end during calculation. I dont like that judges have "entertainment point of view" approach. They value striking more than wrestling. I also dont understand why there is such a huge difference between judges inside octagon. Like Mazzagatti and Dead Is it possible to create or find an universal judge. That wont do early stoppage or wont stop until fighter get few dozens of unanswered punches in face from full mount. The 10 point must system seems fine for me. It will account deductions and it will justify very dominating rounds that deserve 10-8 or even 10-7. Although this is a bit complicated in mma unlike in boxing where knockdowns serve as basis most of the time. When a strike lands, it hurts and diminish someone's effectivity as the fight progressed. Wrestling is just like putting yourself only in a dominant position to launch strikes or submit your opponent. |

Before the start of the playoffs I was really rooting for Philadelphia 76ers to finally grab that Larry O'Brien trophy. Embiid and Harden accompanied with solid young players and some veterans. Many of their guys are armed with deep playoffs experiences. I think Miami, Phoenix and the young Grizzlies cannot beat the 76ers. Probably only Boston and Milwaukee can match them. I was supposed to bet on Philly and Bucks but I am regularly betting my balances so I cannot stuck them for too long.
