2421  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Crawford vs Spence on: October 06, 2022, 10:41:07 AM
Jaron Ennis is the mandatory opponent of Spence and this guy has an awesome record he has 29 wins and 27 knockouts and is touted to be the next Floyd Mayweather, Spence is going to get less money on this fight and he will be in trouble against this guy because this is a worthy challenger, this could be the guy that can stop the Spence - Crawford to happen if he beat Spence, Spence should face Crawford because there is huge money that he's going to take than fighting Ennis.

I would love these sanctioning bodies to start their mandatories now. I'm sick of Spence and PBC playing shit for many years and nothing serious. But I know that these sanctioning bodies can be negotiated secretly except maybe the IBF.

I have here the current top 10 rankings of the welterweight division taken from wiki. So yes, it is really Jarron Ennis as IBF number 1. I really really hope that the IBF starts calling for a mandatory defense. I actually believe that Spence will also duck Ennis as he is too risky with low returns. I can smell PBC and Spence trying hard to tell IBF to not declare a mandatory defense since Spence moves up soon.

The welterweight division is stacked with young prospects that are very dangerous of which Bud and Spence might rather move up in weight for bigger money and new title achievement goals. The division got Vergil Ortiz, Eimantas Stanionis, Jarron Ennis, and former undisputed super lightweight champion Josh Taylor might also move up after his next fight. It's a shame sanctioning bodies are ignoring Radzhab Butaev after his very close decision defeat to Stanionis. I believe these guys will beat Keith Thurman. They are also probably the reason why Danny Garcia move up in weight rather than fighting them.
2422  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Dmitry Bivol vs Zurdo Ramirez on: October 06, 2022, 07:01:11 AM
Moneywise, Bivol would try to make Canelo activate the rematch clause if he wins against Zurdo. And it is also dangerous for Bivol to pursue a unification fight with Beterbiev because he is probably the underdog despite the 3-belt champ's age. And Canelo will never be interested to fight a beltless Bivol. But these fighters from the former Soviet Union are more glory hunters and money only comes second. Beterbiev and Bivol's team might want them to fight Canelo and Yarde respectively for money purposes but we heard these 2 champions during interviews on who they want. Both Beterbiev and Bivol said they want to face each other because they want to become undisputed.

I don't see Bob Arum protecting Beterbiev to face Bivol here knowing his fighter is the A side and probably the slight favorite but only due to Beterbiev's age. Beterbiev is a beast, he would've re-arranged Canelo's face and body if they were the ones fighting. Someone can correct me if I am wrong but I believe Beterbiev is the last one to knockdown and hurt our current heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk. And we know Usyk is another legend in the making. Bivol and Beterbiev need to fight each other if they want to enter the Hall of Fame. But DAZN and Matchroom should allow Bob Arum and ESPN to promote and televise the fight to turn this into a reality.

As you said, Bivol is not prioritizing Canelo and he won't be if he will come out successful in his fight against Zurdo Ramirez as a fight against Canelo is just a pure money fight with no glory to make. He already proved his talent against the undisputed boxer and upsets Canelo, that said, a rematch from Canelo's camp is the least of things he thinks of.

Canelo have two choices if Bivol turns out to be the winner in his upcoming fight, first is that he has to wait because chances are high that Bivol will pursue Beterbiev first and second is to forget having a rematch because there's also a high chance that he will have the same result. And there's no roadblock for an undisputed fight in LHW because Bob Arum openly said that he will allow Beterbiev to fight after his title defense.

That's right. If Bivol prioritized money, he could've accepted Canelo's offer to let the rematch happen at super-middleweight instead of light-heavyweight. Bivol could've agreed since he is a small light-heavyweight anyway. Bivol could've asked for more money guarantees.

Canelo still has a rematch clause but at light-heavyweight. I believe Canelo loves challenges too especially since he is nearing his mid-30s soon. Maybe he can tell Hearn and DAZN to let Bivol fight Beterbiev at Top Rank and ESPN. Then he fights the winner.

In the UFC we have some genuine fighters who are not getting paid as they should be. In boxing, we have dumb fighters who barely possess any skills and who are getting paid like crazy.

Many times personality, charisma, and roots exceed over skills on who's getting paid most either in the UFC or boxing, etc. We also got guys like Masvidal who's not the most talented in the UFC but he is paid higher than the likes of Covington. Ryan Garcia is not even a world champion yet he is paid more than some of the current world champions. It's always like that. It's not the hardcore fans that bring the bulk of the money, it's always the casual fans.

Have you guys watched the games today? The Phoenix Suns just won by 4 points after overtime against the Los Angeles Lakers. CP3 is still showing signs of his greatness. He is amazing.

The Lakers meanwhile are starting to get it together. Bron is back with limited minutes but was performing well. It is Westbrick that wasn't doing well. This guy needs to stop taking volumes of shots, this isn't OKC where it didn't mind losing games. AD as LA was able to ma hasn't played with an injury.

EthereumMax seemed familiar. I first saw this name in the trunks of a popular boxer, I think it was Tank Davis. I was curious about it but I never tried to search for it too. Kim Kardashian deserved it. Anyways, this should not be much of a big deal to Kim. That penalty is just like dust to her.

These celebrities should be liable for the products and services they endorsed. It is part of the so-called social responsibility of a good citizen.

Fun game by the New Orleans Pelicans versus the Chicago Bulls.
The bench players' performance in the last quarter of the game made it look like it was a regular season.  Cheesy
NOP 129 - Bulls 125

The Pelicans look great, and Zion looks good (I can't tell if some weight was lost). They are a solid team and their bench looks promising too with Willy Hernangomez who won the Fiba Eurobasket MVP.
If healthy, I think they have a great chance to make a top seed. They will probably be one of the favorites this season.

I don't usually watch pre-season games because they aren't serious games. But I'm also excited at how the healthy Pelicans will end up this season. Their line-up is already good so all they need now is to perform well. I heard that Zion is on a seafood diet. Hopefully, it's not a giant octopus or tuna per meal. Cheesy

Chicago Bulls acquired veteran Goran Dragic and Andre Drummond to boost their line-up this season. So I am also hoping they can also perform well. I want to see Vucevic bring back his Orlando Magic stats.

We have here the groups and their game schedules. I have to say that Team Secret should be able to make it into the upper bracket.

Group B though is a very tough group. Wildcard Gaming and Infamous are most likely the weakest teams that will drop into the lower bracket. I am very excited to see if T1 players are able to utilize this break and worked more on their chemistry and strategies. Their first game will be against Liquid right away and that's like a deciding factor already if they are indeed a serious team enough to compete at the world level.
2428  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: October 05, 2022, 02:42:35 PM
As far as I know, Francis Ngannou does not have an existing contract with UFC at this time. Moreover, he said that unless certain terms and conditions are met by the UFC, he would not sign a new contract. I have also heard that he recently had to borrow money from someone to live. Furthermore, it is not difficult to understand that the relationship between Dana White and Ngannou is not at all a good one. So, I really don't know if the demands of Francis Ngannou will be met.

Moreover, I do not really understand how someone like Ryan Garcia can earn more than Francis Ngannou! If anything I think UFC is actually earning more. Therefore, it isn't going to be hard for Dana White, the president of the UFC, to pay the fighters a little more in order to keep them happy.
Even though Francis Ngannou doesn't get paid higher than Ryan Garcia, but do you think $100,000-$500,000 per fights are low? I don't think so, he's must be have a luxury life style so that's make him to borrow money similar like Mike Tyson. Ngannou said the UFC rules that's make him not want to sign the contract, but at the same time he said he wouldn't fight for $500,000 only, so this mean money is the reason why he doesn't want to sign the contract.

Ryan Garcia is just handsome and have undefeated record, that's the reason why he can be paid more although his skill is suck.
$500,000 is a big money but it is also small considering UFC revenues. The reality is, UFC stars are underpaid while many boxing stars and superstars are overpaid. Boxing and UFC numbers are now at par with each other. It's just that the UFC is giving its fighters the small cut while in boxing, many of its stars and superstars are getting huge cuts and at the same time they also get guaranteed purses. Boxing promoters and networks many times lost millions of dollars on failed PPVs yet they continue to overpay and give guaranteed purses to their stars and superstars because they know that they can earn big in their next events.

Meanwhile, I woke up this morning seeing the news of Swede Khamzat Chimaev being detained in Russia after planning a short vacation in his birthplace Chechnya. His manager denied the rumors but probably to stop it from spreading.
2429  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Dmitry Bivol vs Zurdo Ramirez on: October 05, 2022, 02:05:45 PM
If ever Bivol wins this fight, I do not think that his priority is Canelo.  I think Bivol is eyeing title fights so possibly Artur Beterbiev.
No way, challenging Beterbiev is just make Bivol career will end since Beterbiev might become the winner. So it doesn't make sense for Canelo challenging Bivol anymore, there's no belt on their fight. Bivol vs Beterbiev will become a big match since both of them are the only have belts on light heavyweight division, rematch may possible to happen too. I don't see many good boxers on light heavyweight division.

We never knew until these two great boxers Bivol (if ever he wins against Ramirez) and Beterbiev face each other in the ring.  I greatly agree this would be a huge match if ever the deal between the two camps is sealed.  But of course, Bivol need to face Ramirez first and Ramirez promised to beat Bivol and bring back the title to his country.
Bivol will have a good chance to win this fight in my opinion. And if he does, his manager will look at what fight is best for him financially. And it seems that it will be Canelo, in my opinion.

The unification fight with Beterbiev may have to wait, yes they are the two best boxers of the division, and they need to face each other. But Arum will protect Beterbiev and so he will let him face Canelo to be soften up. And if my memory serves me right. Beterbiev is injured.

2430  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Fernando Martinez vs Jerwin Ancajas rematch - Oct.8 on: October 05, 2022, 12:58:17 PM
So it looks like Nonito Donaire is keen on continuing his career if he can get meaningful fights. Donaire is now contemplating moving down in weight in order to achieve his dream of becoming a 5-division world champion. Donaire is turning 40 next month. I honestly don't understand how he made weight at bantamweight so this is more shocking to me if he can indeed make the superfly limit. Is he willing to do it only once or maybe twice or maybe even more? The current world champions are:

The Ring/lineal
Juan Franciso Estrada
43-3-28 KOs

WBA
Joshua Franco
18-1-8 KOs

WBC
Jessie Rodriguez
16-0-11 KOs

IBF
Fernando Martinez
14-0-8 KOs

WBO
Kazuto Ioka
28-2-15 KOs

The biggest names in this division though are also old and past their primes yet still very capable of winning; former P4P number 1 Chocolatito Gonzales, and Estrada. But Donaire might target any of the champions rather than the bigger names. And Donaire might also consider Ancajas if it retakes his old IBF belt from Martinez. Donaire already dispatched a compatriot Filipino earlier before the Naoya Inoue fight so Ancajas is another target if it becomes the IBF champion again. Although Ancajas might also move up in weight after this fight with Martinez citing difficulty making the weight limit.

Do Francis Ngannou and Jon Jones even have existing contracts in the UFC? Maybe Jon Jones still has remaining years or fights under his UFC contract. But I haven't heard Francis Ngannou signed a new UFC contract since rejecting an offer after his victory over Gane. Ngannou must have rooted that the proposed exhibition fight with Tyson Fury becomes a reality. Now both Jon and Francis want big paydays yet Dana seemed okay to let these 2 become inactive.

Is it really that hard for Dana to pay big, especially his big stars? It's well-known that UFC is earning billions of dollars annually and I read that fighters' purses are only about 20% or less of its revenues. The good thing about the UFC is they can make great fights easily compared to boxing. But it is hard to swallow when a non-champion prospect in boxing like Ryan Garcia is earning more than Francis Ngannou.
2432  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is NFT's hype over? on: October 04, 2022, 01:44:19 PM
NFT will never be over. Its market may drop in times like this bearish season but it won't last long. There are more metaverse projects starting to develop and in the next few years, this will become the next big thing in crypto. From Bitcoin to Bitcoin+altcoins then comes Bitcoin+altcoins+NFTs and then the next will be with metaverse. NFTs will become a huge part of these metaverses.

I am looking at some of the next good projects with potential and many of them are connected to NFTs and metaverse. Lifeform, for example, the creator of HALO NFTs worked with Binance Labs and will launch its product for public minting of NFTs that are applicable to the metaverse.

RIP for the guy. Another death for boxing, another day of mourning. What could be possible changes in boxing to avoid future casualties? Boxing is a sport for the warriors though. These guys know that death is always in play once they enter the ring either for a real fight or a sparring session.

When there's a boxing casualty, it always leads me to remember when a boxing promoter tried to stop the UFC from becoming mainstream. I think it was Bob Arum or Don King, calling MMA as a sport for barbarians and branding it as very dangerous and it needs to be stopped. Correct me if I am wrong but I haven't heard of any deaths or fighters in a coma in the UFC or in MMA in general.

We are in the month of DOTA 2 TI. Until then , we just entered into the week with last chance to qualify for TI and I must say that Secret is doing massive training for this games and I heard that Puppey is simply not accepting the fact that there is a chance for Secret to miss TI + the fact that they have a really massive fan base in Singapore and Asia so I do hope this is true and they are training like no other training session.

Yes, Puppey and Team Secret are one of the most popular players and teams here in the SEA. But every team is also training heavily as well. I don't think they will qualify for TI. They can get wins and probably enters the upper bracket but they will fall once again and come out short. Puppey ain't in TI for the first time if they failed to qualify right? This must be the ending of the era of Puppey and Kuroky.

I'm rooting for Virtus.pro to get a slot. The other slot is up for grabs by those 2 Chinese teams, T1 and Team Secret.
2435  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Naoya Inoue vs Paul Butler - Undisputed Bantamweight Bout - December 13 on: October 04, 2022, 07:34:39 AM
I particularly know that many people go for Inoue, his category and way of fighting shows that he is a boxer who manages to do many things accurately and efficiently, I think these things are good to take into account, but Butler has many good things and characteristics special ones that can make you give a big surprise.
It is actually good to see that there is a division of thoughts on who ia going to win and who is your bet.

Both has good stats but it seems that many are for Inoue based on how he has beaten Donaire two times and as well as his past opponents.

Butler has a good stats as well but it is like many will not change their minds on how impressed they are with Inoue's past fights.

Yes, I agree that both fighters are preparing to the best of their abilities to get the win. There is too much at stake here. The winner becomes the undisputed champion and the first ever bantamweight undisputed champion since the 4-belt era.

But I cannot deny that I am one of those that belittle Butler's ability to win here. It's just that the credentials and stats probably all belong to Inoue. The fight venue alone will make Inoue feel at home and will further boost his morale. Inoue has every reason to win here. But I have so much respect for Butler for taking this suicidal fight. At least he never hides his belt in England and tries to defend it against contenders. This is history in the making and may the best man wins.

Brooklyn Nets starting to look like a fun team to watch again.
The first five are Irving, Durant, Claxton, Simmons, and Harris. I am just glad to see them all back and healthy again. Harris is feeling it who made 2 threes in 15 minutes.
Simmons defensive help can be seen and Irving being a playmaker will be a game changer for them.
The 2nd team looks solid too with Patty Mills, Edwards, Morris, Royce O'Neale, and Sumner. Seth Curry didn't play yet.
A win for the 76ers without Harden and Embiid. Their roleplayers are pretty solid too.

I'm glad that we are finally seeing a healthy and complete Brooklyn Nets in the opening season. I am not a fan of Kyrie and Simmons anymore but I love this season to be more competitive, I want all the teams to possibly compete well so I like what I am seeing with the Nets. Kyrie should understand that the world doesn't revolve around him. The Nets would be a serious contender if they can set all their egos aside and work on their chemistry. I want to see KD's remaining NBA years fruitful even if doesn't mean a title rather than staying in a mediocre team.

Pwede ba metamask lang ang gamitin pang connect at claim?

It's surprising that this coming weekend's UFC Fight Night is a closed-door door event with no fans and even the media isn't allowed. Earlier, there were rumors that it was Mark Zuckerberg who rented the whole event. But a few hours ago Dana White confirmed that there is no truth behind Zuckerberg renting the whole event. Although it seems fishy when the way Dana was explaining the whole thing like telling the reporters that they needed breaks and that they can stay at their homes eating pizza while watching the event on tv. Maybe it was Zuckerberg then or other billionaires but they wanted the public not to know it so Dana came up with funny excuses and alibis.

It is surprising, that if this is all true, why Mark Zuckerberg has chosen to rent such a boring event. I mean why only a Fight Night, but not a numbered event with UFC stars. He sure has money for a such a high level event.

I will believe more in a story, that UFC Fight Night: Dern vs. Yan event was so boring, that UFC did not manage to sell a lot of tickets, and to prevent showing partly filled venue, then decided to come up with such a funny story.

I dunno how it started about Zuckerberg renting the event. Maybe it also has to do with his MMA sessions with a Chinese guy early this month. And Zuckerberg had a conversation with Dana too.

But it could be that the UFC failed to sell the majority of its tickets. I am not very familiar with ticket pricing but UFC Fight Nights should not be that expensive. But maybe this event should not be held in an entertainment city like Las Vegas where there are many great events happening especially during weekends.

On the contrary, I think the Jordan Clarkson will get traded the soonest and I was hoping that he will go the Lakers again and play with Bron.

I don't care which team but I would love to see Jordan Clarkson traded to any teams that are capable of reaching the playoffs. I don't want him to stay in a rebuilding team and waste his prime years.

Clarkson with the Lakers will be good for the team and his career too. He can be a perfect alternative when Bron and AD take their rest. He can even play in the first five to confuse the opposing team's defense. Schroder, Clarkson, Bron, and AD together in the court would be offensively deadly.

Speaking of Ryan Garcia, and since you mentioned Tank, he detailed a club confrontation with Tank Davis:

Quote
“I actually did see Tank in the club,” Garcia recounted. “He definitely … he’s definitely … he’s a tough guy. He was very low-key, in his hoodie. I went up to his table … and we said, ‘Yo, are we gonna make this fight happen?’ And I guess he got all offended by that. Got all worked up and I was like, ‘Yo, what you on about, man? Ain’t no respect here? He responds with, ‘Nah, there ain’t no respect here.’ So [I said], ‘Oh, it’s like that. OK, it’s like that.’ Then he grabbed my chain, but I wasn’t worried about [it]. There were so many security guards there. I knew he wasn’t going to take my chain or do anything, really. He just wanted to seem tough.

“So I said, wow, ‘It’s like that, huh?’ And then he responded again, ‘Yeah, it’s like that.’ Then he had to let go and I said, ‘You know what’ — I said something to him. He knows what I said. Not gonna repeat it on Live, but just know, the fight, that’s where it really happens. Outside the ring you can act tough all you want. Inside the ring it all changes.”

https://www.boxingscene.com/ryan-garcia-describes-altercation-with-tank-club-says-he-just-wanted-seem-tough--169381

Just another funny story between this two, hopefully we can really see them in the ring together. Specially Ryan, he is doing a good job building this up.

I'm waiting for this fight press conference, wanted to see what Kambosos will say to Haney after he was defeated in a dominant fashion. Or this time Haney will dictate the trash talking, hehehe.

I wish they just traded bombs in the club. Who cares if they get cuts and black-eyes and get arrested. Both are cherry pickers. Tank was a legit world champion at super-featherweight but it's been years now and he never fought a real belt at lightweight and super-lightweight. Kingry is still young but he should've been fighting the other top names and champions. I still don't get why casual fans love Kingry and Tank. It's also not a coincidence that those 2 pricks are the only big names that are fighting outside of ESPN and Top Rank except for Kambosos who is about to lose again to Haney.

Kambosos is becoming silent now. Probably preparing for something big in order to surprise Haney. Or maybe he is silent because trash-talking and losing again will turn him into a joke even to his Australian and Greek fans.
