322  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Forget Bitcoin - Memecoins Like Pepe, FLOKI and Bonk Are the Big Gainers Now on: March 04, 2024, 04:29:12 PM
It's not too hard to predict. The marketcap of bitcoin is huge, bitcoin has half of the marketcap of all the crypto. For a coin with a marketcap of 1 trillion dollar to double, investors need to pour more than another trillion. PEPE with a marketcap of 3 billion can easily triple on an investment of 10 billion.
The only reason why bitcoin is more popular is due to its adoption, acceptance and consistency. It's a less risky option and we all know thousands of crypto are going to outperform bitcoin, but the problem is we are not sure which would be it definitely.
323  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: March 04, 2024, 04:08:22 PM
The Sri Lanka vs Bangladesh turned out to be a close thrill. Sri Lanka batting first made a good score of 206 which seemed too large for Bangladesh to chase.
But Bangladesh were good with the chase and needed just 12 runs in the last over with 4 wickets remaining. That's generally considered an easily achievable feat on T20. Specially when the team has achieved 10+ runs on average for the rest 19 overs.
The last over bowling of Dasun Shanaka didn't turned out good for Bangladesh, they lost 2 wickets and fell short of the target by 4 runs.
324  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Potential Upside in Exchange Tokens on: March 04, 2024, 01:50:34 PM
There was a boost in price of Exchange tokens in the last bull and we could expect the same this time. The thing that's a bit changed than the last time is volume of Exchanges happening in centralized and decentralized exchanges. I don't have the exact data but DEX at the moment might be making larger amount of transactions than centralized exchange makes. That means the growth could be much larger on network tokens that act as gas for the transaction. There would also be boost on dex tokens as there are incentive for larger number of transactions and centralized exchange tokens too would enjoy the price boost in increased traffic.
325  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: March 04, 2024, 01:28:44 PM
In another League 2 match between UAE and Scotland, Scotland easily won over UAE. UAE batting first were packed at 132 and Scotland chased the score with 8  wickets remaining at the 24th over. Of the two games played, they lost to both Canada and Scotland and are going to play a mach each with them.
The performance of UAE seems to be decreasing. Canada and Scotland are not the strong team in league 2. Netherlands, Namibia and Nepal are probably the better team and UAE was expected to compete with them but are struggling now.
326  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Premier League 2023/2024 Discussion Thread ⚽ on: March 03, 2024, 05:28:49 PM
Early goal by ManU and an equalizer by Foden. It was 1-1 for quite a time. Manchester City attacking and Manchester United defending. It looked like ManU would be able to make it a draw. But with consistent attacks and Foden was able to give Manchester City at the 80th minute and with the Haaland converting a good assist to a goal in the injury time.
The game now ended as expected Manchester City getting the full points on Manchester Derby and Remaining unbeaten against ManU this season. And more importantly keeping a close race with Liverpool for the title.
327  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is your strategy to win in this bull run? on: March 03, 2024, 05:13:44 PM
My strategy is not selling early and not selling all at once. Although I regret for not holding as much as I could but I have better options today than the last bull.
I've already sold some amount of bitcoin as it hit my first selling point, I have several of these selling points increasing to as high as above 100K for bitcoin.
I have similar strategies for most of my altcoins. Except those, I have some coins and Liquidity pairs staked which I don't have a plan of exit at the moment.
Might not be the great strategy but atleast I'll not have complete regret for doing or not doing something.
328  Economy / Economics / Re: Reckless financial decision ? on: March 03, 2024, 05:02:33 PM
Do you think a celebrity who turns down a multi-million dollar deal solely because the organization doesn't allow him smoking weed is a reckless financial decision?
Keep in mind this definition of reckless financial decision - It entails when a person makes choices that involve significant financial risk or lack of consideration for the potential consequences.

What other reckless financial decision do you know or have heard of?

When it comes to rich people, the money is generally not an issue. So, they want to live their life as they want. And when you can afford, it's better to live your life with your standards. What's the use of money when you can't enjoy it. That might be the understanding of the celebrity in question.
Celebrities are expected to have an ideal image and many brands still believe marijuana would hurt the brand image. It's an advantage of not being a celebrity that people like me are never asked by the employer not to take marijuana or alcohol.
Marijuana could be bad if people are destroying their life and finance being high all the time. It's not an issues when you are enjoying at your spare time.
329  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: March 03, 2024, 02:43:00 PM
When New Zealand bowled Australia out by few runs in the second innings we had some hope that New Zealand might win the match but just as Australia got all out in the second innings as quickly as New Zealand got all out in the second innings. Australia secured a big victory by 172 runs with one day in hand in this Test series due to New Zealand's quick all-out. Australia went a long way towards winning the series with a 172-run win in the first match of the two-match Test series. If Australia wins the second and final Test match, New Zealand will be whitewashed in Test series and T20I series against Australia but if New Zealand can win then they will be able to go back to level in Test series. Since the New Zealand series was whitewashed in the T20 series, New Zealand should come back in the second Test match and not be embarrassed by the whitewash.

The first inning of Australia's batting is what carried Australia to the win. A 172 from Cameron Green on the first inning and he was again the highest scorer for Australia in the second inning and even took a wicket. It was his game. Nathan Lyon was the star bowler for Australia, he took 10 wickets in two innings and was very economical. Newzealand could not bat well on both inning.
I don't know if there are changed pitch condition for test matches or not but we are seeing most of the test in 2024 to be low scoring one and I don't remember one being draw. Most of them even finishing on the 4th day. New zealand need to work hard to save themselves from a whitewash.
330  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin's last big rally in this cycle on: March 03, 2024, 12:48:04 PM
With each historical top lower than the previous ATH, I think that Bitcoin tends to consolidate itself in the market and become more stable (than it is today).

I believe that this cycle has great potential to be greater than the previous ones, I cite as a basis the performance of Bitcoin this year, where Bitcoin almost broke 64K USD, almost reaching the ATH even before the halving, this is unprecedented, imagine what it can do happen the following year, which is usually the leg with the highest increase.

We know that this is due to the highly positive moment for Bitcoin, ETH approved, institutional money coming in.

To be honest, I hope I'm wrong and that the infinite highs continue.

It's too early to say so. Surely there won't be infinite rise but there are good signs that shows bitcoin can beat its last all time high.
One of the reason why bitcoin would make another historical high is the institutional investment on it that decreases the liquid supply of bitcoin in the market.
With limited supply, there are greater chances of quick rise in price. There are correction after every sharp rise and fall. Considering the accumulation that have been going on bitcoin, I believe, we have already in the ultimate bull, after some correction, Bitcoin could push above 100K as everyone believed.
331  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Odds for approving a Solana spot ETF? on: March 03, 2024, 11:24:22 AM
I don’t think it would be but even if it would, I can’t say it will be happening any soon because Bitcoin which has been doing great as the head of them all was approved not too long ago. I think Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs will go on for a while before anything else. But then, if there wanted to go on right now, don’t you think that the next spot after Ethereum would be a battle between BNB and Solana? In as much as I like Solana, BNB is a big name too.

Bitcoin ETF has paved the way for other ETFs to become realities, so there's no need for them to go through all the scrutinies that Bitcoin went through before it's approval, I'm quite optimistic that Ethereum, ETF will be approved in May, or not too long after that. When Ethereum, happens, I believe that the process will become less demanding for the other top altcoins to be approved, SEC can decide to space a time frame for ETF approvals.

Like you I also think that it can become a Battle between Solana and BNB, although I see BNB having an edge, but that is not taking anything away from Solana, both are good to go.

Trust me, there is big need to scrutinize all of them. Just because Bitcoin is a great cryptocurrency doesn’t mean that every other cryptocurrency is good too. Of course I am not necessarily talking about BNB nor Solana but these people need to do their job to be sure they are approving something that they find valuable for the public. If they want to follow the trust of Bitcoin, they could have just approved top 20 cryptocurrencies ETFs but that can’t be the case.

When the SEC and people accept crypto as ETF, it's not difficult to include every popular crypto as ETF. Solana do have some controversies but that haven't stopped people from investing on it and using the network. The ETF on the other hand are just for investment, the people investing in ETF don't care much about the technology but the potential price boost for the ETF. If the SEC makes necessary arrangements for ETH to be listed as ETF, it would be an easy way ahead for Solana. ETFs are approached by the investment firms and SEC either gives them approval or ask for clarification. Investment firms would surely be forwarding a Solana ETF sooner.
332  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: March 03, 2024, 01:55:56 AM
You are right. Key players make winning look easy when they are in form, but Real Madrid plays as a team and does not depend on a single play to win a match. I knew Real Madrid could struggle to win against Valencia, but not for Valencia to win against Real Madrid.

Basically, Valencia is not a worthy opponent for Real Madrid we know this season no one can compete with them it's just that recently Real Madrid hasn't been playing optimally and they often draw with some drama, honestly, I'm not surprised to see Real Madrid playing like this because they are already safe at the top of the standings so playing a draw or even losing does not affect their position, this is normal in situations like this. We won't see moments like this in the Premier League because the competition there is very tight and losing one point is very impactful.
I know Valencia is not a worthy opponent for Real Madrid this season, but I think Valencia knows how to play against Real Madrid even when they are not consistent. I was not surprised to see this match end in a draw because if Real Madrid couldn't win against Valencia, it would end in a draw. The La Liga title race will be open again if Girona can win against Mallorca tomorrow. Real Madrid will be leading Girona by 4 points if Girona beats Mallorca.

Real Madrid also have to play carefully because Valencia can also turn things around. Luckily, the match still resulted in a draw with a score of 2-2. Valencia is also a strong opponent even though they are currently in 9th position with 37 points, while Real Madrid remains in first place with 66 points. Real Madrid must maintain their position and must win the next match. Meanwhile, Girona will have a good chance to overtake Real Madrid if they win against Mallorca and Girona is also overshadowed by Barcelona with a difference of only 2 points.

That was an controversial way to end the game by referee. The referee blowed the final whistle seconds before Real scored. I have never seen a referee blow a whistle when the ball is close to the goal line. It either needs to be cleared or kicked towards the center
The possession was totally dominated by Real Madrid but Sevilla took the early lead by two goals both due to the mistake of Real Madrid defense, the first one was impressively built after dispossessing the defense while 2nd one was blunder from Real defense.
Their might be no team replacing Real Madrid in la liga but they do need to work on their defense if they want to secure the title of champions league.
333  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: March 02, 2024, 06:40:22 PM
This round only shows until now what all the people think before and this is, the only two serious contender are Real Madrid and Manchester city, like the past year, i dont see any other team in that level, maybe Inter again, but i dont think they can beat Manchester City or Real Madrid in a head to head.
After this stage, many teams will be noticed and the level of seriousness because teams like Arsenal and Bayern Munich be cause they also have good team that can compete for the Champions league together with Manchester City and Real Madrid.
Nonetheless, this second leg will give us the most hint on who to be the favorites because even Manchester City and Real Madrid can be surprised at any moment of the competition.

It's sad to see Liverpool failing to qualify for the champions league last season. If they where here, they'd have been an interesting option considering their recent form. The long gap makes the teams much different than what they were during qualification.
It's easy to predict most of the team reaching top 8 except for a few and top 8 is going to be the interesting one where even the large teams would fight with one another.
Surely Real Madrid are again the favorite. I don't think anyone could compete against them, both bayren munich and barcelona are having bad times, Manchester city and PSG too are not in their greatest and Inter milan too might not pose the threat to Real.
334  Economy / Economics / Re: What is The Negative Effect of Inflation on Household Savings? on: March 02, 2024, 05:54:51 PM
You just kills your desires and limit yourself to absolute needs to save some money in case of need.
But the inflation specially on the housing and healtcare is so huge that you can't expect to get a house for your family in your lifetime and your family is destroyed if anyone gets a serious illness. Most people are barely surviving on their salaries.
As a result people are being carefree, saving less and not rearing child. The rate of childbirth had been lowest in history and our generation might be the largest part of the pyramid even when it moves up.
That means the whole of our economy needs to be adjusted for accommodating larger old dependent population.
335  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: March 02, 2024, 05:32:58 PM
OMG!!!! What an amazing moment for nunez. He has been helping liverpool to score three points after i thought that if liverpool will be getting draw against nottingham forest. Liverpool is still securing the first spot and manchester city may get three points from manchester united.
There will be no chance in the current standing and what a hero for liverpool in this match. He has come with a solution to score at 99 minutes. This is an amazing moment to see that how nunez is as good as salah.

Nottingham forest 0 - 1 Liverpool. Nunez's goal at the last minute helped liverpool. What a hero!!!!  Cool Cool Cool Cool

Liverpool got a very dramatic victory. I thought that Liverpool would get an easy win, but I was wrong because it turns out that Nottingham Forest has a pretty good defense which made it difficult for Liverpool to create opportunities. Luckily Liverpool was able to maintain their composure until the match ended, and because of their persistence, they were able to get good results. Even though they could only win 1-0, but this meant a lot for Liverpool because the burden they felt in this match would be shifted to Man City and Arsenal.
It's hard to believe and it's a truly extraordinary result. Darwin Nunez's spectacular goal at the end of the match clearly made Liverpool's grip stronger at the top of the standings and even though he couldn't field a full main squad, Klopp was able to mix up his team very well. Today Liverpool fans are very happy and the Reds players have really shown a winning mentality.

It was all attacking by Liverpool and defending by Nottm. I at the moment thought it was going to be a draw but Nunez did succeed in giving the rebounded ball direction of the net at the last minute. More than anything, they saved the humiliation of being drawn by a team fighting against relegation and being replaced by Man city on the 1st position.
Another unpredicted result was the 2-2 draw between Chelsea and Brentford. This further undermines the chelsea's position.
336  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Acquired knowledge from cryptocurrency indulgence on: March 02, 2024, 04:58:33 PM
I have in a hard way realized about diversification. Not only the diversification of coins but also how and where you keep them. Diversification among wallets and exchanges.
I have concluded that a defi farms, LP staking won't make you rich. They either give tokens that are highly inflationary or the rate balances to be equal or lower than bank rates.
The only thing I believe in are trades. Good trading plans can might give you more returns even in the sideways market.
But what beats almost all of them is hodling, If I had only held every bitcoin I bought around 18-20K half a year ago, I would have tripled my portfolio now.
337  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Women's Cricket Prediction & Discussion - T20 & ODI on: March 02, 2024, 04:20:51 PM
In the 9th match of Royal Challengers Bangalore Women vs Mumbai Indians Women team, Royal Challengers Bangalore Women team came to bat and scored 131 runs losing 6 wickets in 20 overs. If Royal Challengers Bangalore Women team could have given a target of 150 runs in this match, they could have won very easily but they won by this run.  Royal Challengers Bangalore Women team has to perform well in the bowling line. Let's see which team will win this match.

132 was the target set by Royal Challengers Bangalore which is a low one for T20. There are no run saves below 150 in the tournament. Mumbai Indians are looking to easily win this game, They are at 69 for 1 wicket at the end of 7th over that means they just need 63 runs from 13 overs but looking at their strategy, they want to finish it quicker.
With this win, MI would jump into the top of the table. This league have limited numbers of game and we are already into the mid and all four teams except for Gujrat have a chance to be the finalist.
338  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Israel-Hamas War on: March 02, 2024, 03:26:19 PM
Israel and Hamas-led Palestinian militant groups are currently at war.  News outlets are covering the said war and most of the time, Israel is being put in a spotlight (actually, even in social media, most is condemning Israel in this war).  I am just curious why?  As I research about the origin of the war, they are the one who started it?  (I am not here to support Israel here.  War is war and both sides are at fault and there is no good side in war.)

Israel has the support of US and the west and most of the media rhetoric in the world is controlled by the US and the west as they control the money and the press.
Being open societies, the US and the west have divided ideas about who is right and wrong but there's nothing much the people differing in opinion than the government can do.
I guess we have became cold enough for not being affected in anyway for people dying. It was the case for Africa, millions in Africa died and are dying due to famine and war and we are used to turning a blind eye there. We do the same for middle east and specially Palestinians. Israeli life lost are counted but not Palestinians.
339  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: March 02, 2024, 02:47:35 PM
It's an unfortunate game for the Real sociedad. They are nearing a loss to Sevilla, at 84th minute Sevilla is up 3-1 against Real Sociedad. And I don't see them coming back.
Not only it make the race of Real Sociedad to the Europa conference League difficult but it would also make them demotivated for the Champions league knockout game against PSG. They were already 2 down and likely would have lost to PSG anyway. Last season was the best one for Real Sociedad but the current one looks worst for them for some years.

On another match, Celta Vigo comfortably win over Almeria, making them a few more points away from relegation. Another Game today, between Rayo Vallecano and Cadiz would further clarify the relegation race.
340  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: March 02, 2024, 01:45:11 PM
Juventus started poorly, they're currently winning games but they managed to fine themselves in second position on the Seria A table. They were close to Inter Milan but with previous meetings, it looks like they're also experiencing tough time and this event have denied them the necessary points earned. Juventus stats are impressive, they've come along way and this is really a bold step for them after all these years of terrible performance. Massimiliano Allegri have more time to packaged his settings and also enchanced his team with unique qualities.

The loss of Juventus against the two weak teams Sassuolo and Udinese were the most unfortunate otherwise it has been a good season for Juventus.
There were a time when it was just Juventus winning the serie A. They won it 9 consecutive seasons. They are failing to do so for the last 3 seasons and most probably, the same is the case for current one. But the thing that's positive for Juventus is they are sure to get qualified for Champions league. They failed to qualify for either Champions league or the Europa league last year. The return of coach Massimiliano Allegri and great form of serbian striker Dusan Vlahovic has made Juventus to rise higher. Yet, they are of no competition to Inter Milan.
