1021  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What would happen if the major holders of bitcoin all decided to sell it all? on: February 18, 2021, 06:22:20 PM
Most of these major holders were/are actually exchanges. It's not their own coins. And a large number of whales have entered the market in the form of institutional investors. They are more predictable and follow a predefined rule for buying and selling than individual whales making the impact of individual or a group of individual's effort of manipulation of price worthless.
1022  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Online Education, the future of learning? on: February 18, 2021, 04:57:06 PM
With real and virtual world coming together more than ever, we are defining new meaning to learning and working. With the shift, we should also need to shift on the ways we handle them. Online education have many more benefits than real world education with less cons. And when people don't need to travel or can reach to many from far away, the cost of education and learning would too decrease. Blockchain could help both with transferring, managing and paying for knowledge worldwide.
1023  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Shall I HODL DOGE? on: February 18, 2021, 02:23:35 PM
Doge has surprised analysis and predictors now and than but with so much hype and support from interesting people like Elon Musk, Doge can't be considered an investment as its supply is unlimited and they are being overtaken by many of limited supply coins. This month was the all time high for Dogecoin ever. More than twice a month ago. Its probably a good time to sell.
1024  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which coin did you make the most money from? on: February 17, 2021, 04:45:38 PM
On the perspective of ROI, I made the most with Vechain. Made something like x5 in just a couple of months, that was at the last bull run in 2016. Made a lot from different coins and lost a lot on others and it has always been a learning experience. Was early to sell my bitcoins holding for 18K while watched it rise over 40K and now 50K.
1025  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: btc vs ethereum on: February 17, 2021, 04:29:24 PM
I totally agree with your opinion, ethereum is more useful than bitcoin, but bitcoin is indeed more popular and has become the mother of crypto, so it's only natural that people are more familiar with bitcoin than ethereum. And alone, I prefer Ethereum to Bitcoin

Yes, People are more familiar with bitcoin. Bitcoin is most popular cryptocurrency. Some of company start accepting bitcoin. So, If i say about my opinion then i choose BTC for paying.

Ethereum may have better use case but bitcoin has much more advantage over Ethereum on other factors.
Ethereum is still unlimited while bitcoin has a much lower and the generation of new coins are even harder. On the other hand, transacting bitcoin at the moment is cheaper than transacting Ethereum. That two points already makes bitcoin a better option.
1026  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: We should not buy outdated and overvalued coins on: February 17, 2021, 04:03:53 PM
There are many things that defines and directs the price. Bitcoin is not special for its use case but people trust it due to its nature and decentralization. Bitcoin could easily be called outdated and overvalued. But it don't mean it won't go any higher. Everyone should research and know your preferences. Adoption and use case could make it easier to predict. Decentralization in my view are more important than technologically advanced tokens that are controlled by some institutions.
1027  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Cardano is most likely an outdated an overvalued coin on: February 17, 2021, 03:28:31 PM
I am not following cardano closely but they haven't been on the spotlight for their platform or any good way that I know of.
They have been here for years, they have a good community and following, but they don't have any popular tokens, dapps or smart contract on their platform while they've been calling themselves an alternative of Ethereum. They are thriving on staking but not sure how sustainable it is.
1028  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best Altcoin to invest on: February 17, 2021, 02:40:56 PM
Much difficult to go for one at this moment. I don't think ETH would be a good option as it's fees is already making it hard to trade. BNB too has increased a lot but their fees are still low enough and the exchange binance going strong. Tron is another alt worth holding. They haven't had a large increase and they have a larger usebase. Litecoin still can be good option as a cheaper bitcoin alternative.
1029  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Do you trust the co-vid19 vaccine ? on: February 16, 2021, 09:47:19 PM
I always avoid medicines and antibiotics but a vaccine AFAIK are bits of the virus itself. It would have some immediate symptoms but actually bring immunity against similar types of viruses.
I got my first dose of Oxford/Astrazenca vaccine yesterday. A night of fever and pain and now I'm back to normal.

1031  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Myanmar issues on: February 12, 2021, 01:48:32 AM
Myanmar had an infant democracy. You can't expect it to be an adult overnight and killing it abruptly is not a solution.

Myanmar is mostly composed of Bamars with clear majority while 100s of other minorities are fighting for recognition. This coup had made them come together to fight against the military rule. I just hope the transition back to democracy would be peaceful one.
1032  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are Bitcoin's fees overpriced? on: January 15, 2021, 07:05:58 PM
Bitcoin fees this time (the bull run of 2020/2021) was one of the lowest you could go with while transacting money. And it depends on what you compare with. It was much cheaper than international bank transfer, western union and even ethereum transactions for most of the time. At the peak of it's price, I transacted some bitcoin for a fee as low as 7500 satoshi ($3) while ethereum required a fee of $5. This fee was cheaper than what I used in last time in 2017. Thanks to the segwit development and adoption. We may need to find cheaper ways to transact if we want to see the prices par $100K.
1033  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Is Dying on: January 14, 2021, 05:56:25 PM
There are many quick and cheap coins, many of them decentralized to make payments. There are several reasons why most people are in bitcoin but the most prominent way people think about bitcoin is a rare asset with unlimited price and hence a good investment. Bitcoin's nature makes it more like a rare collectible value than a day to day transacting coin. And this specific feature would make it survive and thrive for a long time.
1034  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Whats the cheapest way to buy BTT or Tron? on: January 12, 2021, 12:16:03 PM
I'm not a big fan of Justin Sun, Tron or BTT but there are many reasons why it could be the next big thing in crypto. The cheap transaction fees even in the bullish market have brought many people to tron ecosystem. Tron and BTT both have some ways of staking and getting a profit. I have a good amount of Tron frozen which gives me voting power and I vote for those who provides an incentive. I have staked BTT and they are still too cheap and they could double anytime as they gets more exposure.
1035  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Forgotten coin that has the potential to make you rich on: January 11, 2021, 04:58:03 PM
There was a bit of bullish trend on altcoins but it was short lived. The most incredible increase was on Ethereum and Bitcoincash lately. NEO and other popular coins too got a price boost. And it's a bit wrong to compare the price boost of Bitcoin to other alts as most of the popular alts are utility token that have their use case. On the other hand bitcoin is a rare asset that are being held in large amount by big companies and manipulators.
NEO and GAS's importance lies on the use of it's blockchain which still seems to be a rare thing for independent developers and clients.
1036  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin regret story, Need advise! on: January 10, 2021, 02:05:35 PM
You have not lost everything. I know you have move forward a lot to look back but there's always a place to start it from the scratch.
If you are still interested in trading, try to learn the market and other investors. Don't jump all in but keep playing with your money till you get a good strategy that works for you. Even in that case don't jump all in and diversify your holding on both trading and passive interest. There are many legit and trusted platform like binance that provides you the flexibility of both saving and trading at will. Keep experimenting what suits you.
1037  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH high gas fee on: January 10, 2021, 01:04:32 PM
Was just transacting a token last day but the fees for slow transfer (metamask) was over $12, was thinking of doing a Uniswap but realized, it would not go through my ethereum balance and was forced to deduct the fees manually (more than half to about $5) and wait for 12 hours to get my token deposited to a centralized exchange. The fees are excessively high but even with manual low fees, the transactions are being carried out with lower fees if you are ready to wait.
1038  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Partnerships must not be taken slightly on: January 09, 2021, 02:17:31 PM
Partnership just for the shake of creating a buzz delivers nothing. A number of useless tokens fighting for the same genre making a partnership brings nothing. But a number of coins of which some have some sort of finished and usable product or service, could bring on more value to itself and the ones it partners with. For an example among the ones featured in the graphics, Gemini already is a trusted wallet and trading platform. Anyone partnering with them would bring some level of expertise help to them.
1039  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Privacy coins suits DEX on: January 09, 2021, 11:43:02 AM
Privacy coins are getting delisted from some centralized exchanges but I do feel that the best place for privacy coins is DEX exchanges because of their anonymous use cases, also I think that privacy coins represents the real decentralization than other projects trying to claim decentralized..

The problem with this is that most current DEXes support on chain transactions not cross chain and even if they allow you to trade coins from different chain they achieve that by wrapping coins in centralized way.

This is the reason why we don't have privacy coins in DEX. And furthermore DEX doesn't allow a direct way to convert your fiat to crypto. They deal with crypto to crypto conversion only. Some of the privacy coins are already being traded largely P2P without the involvement of Centralized exchange. Though there always would be a risk of being scammed when you are dealing with unknown people with privacy coins.
1040  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: (Yes or NO) The 2020s belong to DEXs on: January 09, 2021, 10:02:28 AM
Yes. It does. With so much of friction between the authorities and different coins and tokens, people would keep moving to DEX as DEX keeps improving. A lot of people are now aware that DEX are much better for specific exchanges and they are collecting good enough volume. The only improvement it needs is an automated interblockchain smart contracts to exchange coins between different blockchain to actually blast off.
