321  Economy / Gambling / Re: Duelbits.com | Casino & Sportsbook | VIP | Instant withdrawals!|ARGENTINA & AVFC on: October 16, 2023, 03:39:46 PM
The problem will be resolved if the source of the problem is clear from the duelbits side. Duelbits is not a casino that was born yesterday. Building trust with a good reputation is not an easy job and takes a long time. Duelbits has done well from the start until Duelbits 3.0 was launched. The launch of 3.0 is a sign that duelbits will not stop in its commitment to maintaining and caring for everything it has done. Enjoy various new things.
Don't forget the giveaway provided.

Yes talking about the launch of 3.0, if Duelbits is reading this post then hoping that Duelbits will soon launch a party for the users on the occasion of Halloween. Maybe an artwork contest just like another casino or maybe something else or unique that Duelbits has to offer us. There was one contest that I participated in a long back ago but it was then shut down and never came back. I think we also need to activate the games and rounds section one more time for the competition of “highest multiplier”. That would be fun to see in play.
Also I’m getting tired of reading the same thing about the peeps not getting their money or they complaining about identity verification. I think it’s best we divert to new topics such as contests. :-)

art contest
higher multipliers on the 31st
maybe some themed games for halloween (everybody loves pumpkins!)
are all cool things that I'd love to see on duelbits by the end of the month

regarding the scam accusations
maybe duelbits could create a costumer support topic here in the forum separate from this one but not sure if this would work

Yeah, time to grab the best pumpkin from the market if Duelbits takes it seriously and announces the contest soon. Smiley
I am more or less immersed in art contests because there is one famous from the other casino and it's surely leaving out great impression on the forum members. Everyone engages there, it also publishes the company name in a positive way. Best way to reach the hearts of players and make them play in the casino at least ones. It's like having both things done single-handedly, marketing the company, and making players engaged and happy with the contest.

Yes, you are making a good point about the support thread. They are really making this thread toxic with their continuous talks about the scams and other sorts of accusations. It has to be about the casino, its ongoing promos, social media engagements, and all that good stuff you know.

This is why I have tried to change the topics many times, but I am like a needle in haystack in those long conversation. lol
322  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Antminer S19 95TH setup on: October 16, 2023, 01:28:41 PM

Hey,

i am doing a similar setup as yours. Were you successful with the transformer?
[snip]
try and find a 50amp single pole circuit breaker.

and it needs more than  10 gauge wire it needs 8 gauge and there would be a proper plug to carry that much current.

If OP and others are going to be serious about their mining set on the scale of what @philipma1957 does then better follow their threads. I have been a secret follower of their threads and seen all the types of experiences that they have shared. Whether it is setting up a new miner, bringing in a new mining rack that can hold a big set up, or may be cooling down the entire mining farm, they have always seen putting their actual pictures and explaining what is happening at their facility.

I think that is the best way to go with it. You also share your experience and we can visualize the entire project with pictures. Please start checking out what they have done in the past. Moreover, there are detailed set up threads for dummies where one can get every bit of knowledge on how to proceed.
323  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Additional details and explanations regarding merkle trees on: October 16, 2023, 12:47:59 PM
Sincerely it is deeper when you keep reading about the tech behind blockchain and how it works. I have tried to create a topic regarding blockchain and how it works in the beginner's section when I realized I needed more and more learning each time I created a new topic. It's still pending work right now but such discussion is always encouraging to me and definitely to those who need such info.

The way everyone is explaining it here is like legend-level. I got more hundred questions after reading all of them. Lolz.

one of the application of a merkle tree is the block header: you need to able to prove the transaction data inside a block didn't change just by looking at the block header... It's impossible to add all transaction hashes to the header, so we use a merkle tree.

This way, when a miner finds a block header whose sha256d hash is under the current target, the block can no longer be changed, since changing any transaction in the block will change the merkle tree and invalidate the block

After reading this, I wanted to understand how a block can be changed or edited if this process is entirely irreversible. Merkle tree as I am guessing is also a chain of blocks containing the info and it keeps growing as the new data is received. What makes it different from the block and its header?  So those are different components on the chain.
324  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: benefits of having mature accounts at 3 casinos (personal experience) on: October 15, 2023, 04:41:05 PM
I don't know why I thought mature accounts would mean aged casino accounts but after reading the write up got your interpretation Tongue, anyway why not call them VIP accounts especially that this is what they simply are and their incentive of all these of bonuses, rains, spins etc
Otherwise in a competitive crypto gambling market, these companies need to be creative and first Shand experience shows what they have going is working to keep their customers.

I am not sure when I will have a VIP account at my favorite casinos but looking at the current speed of mine things are really slow and easy going. Roobet & Duelbits are the top most on my list and I am trying to wager on them a lot as compared to other ones. However, having multiple accounts also makes me choose the best one first and ignore the other one. This also limits my accounts from reaching to them to the next level. It was even harder to reach silver because every time the wagering requirement changed. The rakebacks and showers are only helpful if you are in the highest position in the casino VIP club. Well, all the players can do only one thing, maybe get one account matured first before moving to the other one. OR simply wager more when there are flash promos during festive seasons. This can actually boost the entire volume of wager siwftly.
325  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: October 15, 2023, 04:15:35 PM
I think the more bets they can offer on big soccer leagues, the more people that will start using freebitco.in its sportsbook. When I want to place a bet on a tennis or soccer match, I always check the odds, as thanks to the parimutuel betting system, they can really be interesting and higher than compared to standard casinos.

Freebitco is not a complete sports book like other sports betting sites and they have limited betting options. You will not find all the bets available on their site. You can find bets on NFL, Rugby World Cup, Formula 1 , English Premier League and many other sports. Lots of matches and sporting events still missing on Freebitco, like i do not see any bets on current Cricket World Cup matches.

Anyways, they still are increasing the number of matches to bet on their site as if you go back a year earlier,  we used to find very few matches for betting at freebitco.

I think they are taking baby steps. If you would have checked freebitcoin few years back then there was not even betting section. We only had multiply BTC game, free roll, and Earn BTC section. Even before that it was only faucet and simple site with actual FAUECT logo on the website. I still think they have come very far now. They added premium feature like FUN holding after their partnerships started. It again grew to partnerships with various external casinos where you can avail promos based on FUN. Later the betting section came in like it was trial and now it has succeded to decent range of sports betting, currency betting and other as you can see from the list.

They will keep growing it for sure since its a success already. If they are reading this then please add cricket also. I think there are plenty fans of cricket from all over the world that would be interested in such bets.
326  Economy / Economics / Re: These are the top 100 brands by value in 2023 on: October 15, 2023, 01:05:41 PM
The fact that they are dominating when we are in an economic crisis is just amusing. They surely have the world-class management team and marketing team to make the company grow both financially and as brand value. We are positive about the top 4-5 companies since they are the old players in their respective fields with the hallmark of "work culture". These values will also grow in the future as we move further with technology, get over the economic crisis and there comes revolutionary acceptance of high-end techs. Most of them are tech companies and it's sad to see none of the biological/drug-based companies is making any progress with their balance sheet. It's obvious reaction to see that TikTok is also on the top list. Just a simple video-sharing platform taking over brand value. It's not even Instagram/meta, which was supposed to be older than TikTok.

I'm not surprised by the list, but I don't understand why the evaluation is so low for some of them. I distinctly remember that some companies got over $1 trillion evaluation on the past, so seeing $300 billion as the top was kind of weird to me. I googled it, and it seems that there are companies (that includes Apple and Microsoft) with over a trillion in evaluation.
I assume the stark difference is due to brand evaluation being different from company evaluation...? Or why is it like that? If it's the same thing, how can the numbers differ so much?

OP's information is incorrect, most of these companies are worth trillions of dollars, not just a few hundred billion dollars as the OP article stated. Apple and Amazon are companies worth nearly 3 trillion USD, and if I remember correctly, Apple is also the first company to reach a capitalization of 3 trillion USD in the world. That's also the reason I often say the cryptocurrency market is too small compared to the world, the total market capitalization is only 1/3 of Apple's capitalization, we are nothing compared to the world economy.

Well if that is true then you should quote the reference for the same.  Smiley
327  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is there an alternative way? on: October 15, 2023, 11:06:22 AM
You can generate an address offline and send funds there.

Or can have a paper wallet. just print it and keep it safe somewhere. You can keep sending Bitcoins to this address without even trying to open the wallet and check your balance repeatedly.

You can keep the private key safe, do not enter it anywhere (that is don't import it). It would be untouched, offline, and uncompromised unless and until you expose it to someone or import it to the wallet. This way you can have added security. All you have to take care of is the paper that you printed on. Try not to forget about its fading ink, print more copies if needed but don't store them in one place together.

I think there is no other way you can be safe. Plus, having limited storage methods makes it more uncomplicated and easy to use. The more the way the more user gets confused as well.
328  Economy / Economics / Re: Are short-term rentals to blame for the lack of housing? on: October 15, 2023, 10:32:01 AM
That's really high rent considering you get no facilities that are basic amenities these days. I think it would be bad to rent and live if that is the case in your country. I would rather buy my own house and put the money in my bank account as EMI instead of the rent. I am not sure others think about it but Rent is a waste of money. You are just giving it away to someone for using their property that you will never own in the future. All you can do is leave that house and change the location for let's say less rent. Maybe someday homeowners try to doge us because they may wanna sell the property or come and live there by themselves. Those types of challenges are always there. So instead of going nuts like that better go to bank, put up house project proposal based on salary as income. Have decent low interest rate home loan and pay the bills ontime. It will boost your credibility, top ups can be done for furnitures and much more.

I am seeing many comments in the thread that are mixed in nature however I would like to welcome the casino as first Timer. I am seeing an amazing project to be honest. I mean the design is superb and anyone can fall for this casino in blink of an eye. I am wondering why I haven’t seen this casino ANN already. The fact that you guys have your own 21 in house slots makes me wonder how did you do it? I have seen 2 or max 3 casinos who were able to make their own slot games. Having own slots make it helpful to understand how much casino is investing in their own branding. I am not sure when I will start playing on this platform but it definitely is I want it kinda platform. Good luck guys.
330  Economy / Economics / Re: Not your keys > Evergrande collapse triggers bank run in China on: October 14, 2023, 08:54:49 AM
That’s what happen when you give hopes to common peeps and then invest without studying the whole thing. Many of them are not even trying to learn what’s being layered out for them in the near future. All they see is structured documents, well established names and without studying further they just get attracted to it in no time. If we speak about the APY in the crypto sector it’s just worst than that. That’s literally digital asset with simple base of white papers, some Cool looking sites with no utility in reality and yet peeps fall for that. Imagine how much they are looted in presale and post sale of such coins.

They don’t even run a physical company many times. All they have as asset is a laptop in the backyard and programming skills giving out false impression of having million dollar worth company.

From where they gonna payback those millions of dollars in interest. Well what we can say terrifying ways of loosing your money.
331  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Seedphrase security - Pros and Cons of offline storage on: October 14, 2023, 08:17:21 AM
I think you are making it way complicated. I am already having 3-4 different wallets that includes one hardware wallet and other paper based wallet plus (going to change soon) mycelium wallet. I have properly stored the seed phrases by writing them down on paper in the perfect sequence I received. I have made one digital copy as well and have stored them in password protected drive. I don’t think you need any further security for your seed. If you are going to be “too” careful about it then you will definitely end up making mistakes and then my friend that’s gonna be Issue someday. Just keep it simple and traditional. Let us not try to make a big deal on how to store them safely.

Just Store it in similar ways you save your gmail password or password for gf or bf Instagram account.  Wink
332  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: October 13, 2023, 04:54:32 PM
Win a Lambo Round 9 concluded with a provably fair draw that crowned User 13517688 as the lucky winner of the Lambo.

At the end of the Golden Ticket Contest, User 13517688 proudly held 266,282 tickets, with a whopping 1,564,201 tickets in the pool.

Well, it's no surprise that this user became a winner, as he had 17% of the total number of gold tickets. Honestly, it's crazy that one user had more than 266k tickets because it also means that this user probably wagered about 1331 BTC to get that many tickets, or he just bought them for ~66 BTC. In that case, winning 7.44 BTC in the Lambo lottery is just a consolation prize for that user.

Haha, so that guy just called us poor in 1000 different languages. That’s crazy amount of money and I would literally never be able to wager that much money in next 10 years also. Until now I know one member who is holding nearly 1.8 BTC on their freebitcoin account and I thought he was the richest one but looking at the above calculation and users capacity to trade, man there are many riches out there. That guy alone is making most of the revenue to freebitcoin. This is just cream layer for him. Big congrats to that person. Also looking at the profile he might just option out for Lamborghini to be delivered at his doorstep.

So what’s the stuff about waiting for this particular block and how is it utilised to decide the winner anyways?
That's how they designed the provably fair lottery. They could use the hash of 10, 15, 20 or any number of blocks into the future.

For the lottery to be provably fair and the winning ticket to be chosen completely randomly, they use the hash of a block that will be mined in the future and is unknown when the tickets list is published as the client seed.

Ok now got little more idea than what I used to know about the lottery system. Well at least I got chance with 47k lottery ticket and increasing the number everyday with WOF and random purchases. Let’s see how it goes.

The tickets list for round 9 of lambo lottery was published a few minutes ago on freebitco's twitter.
The hash of block number 811989 will be used as the client seed and the winner should be determined soon.

You can use the link below to download the tickets list, if you can't get the link from the tweet.
http://lottery-lists.freebitco.in.s3.amazonaws.com/lambo_lottery_round_9.zip

Ahh interesting. I was under the impression that we already have the winner but it was another previous round. I don’t know what’s the process behind selection but it seems they have to study everything throughout. I mean initially I thought it’s just like simple lottery where user automatically gets selected by System.

So what’s the stuff about waiting for this particular block and how is it utilised to decide the winner anyways? The tickets list is huge and now excitement is getting off the roof to see who won the grand lambo. Good luck to everyone who had GT on their accounts including me.  Tongue

Edit:

We have winner. I posted just after the result.

CONGRATULATIONS TO THE GRAND WINNER
334  Economy / Economics / Re: No petrol/diesel car sales by 2035/ Reality or dream? on: October 13, 2023, 12:10:58 PM
That’s not gonna happen. Government is lying for sure. Get this, most of the taxes for government are coming from the fuel selling. If they stop the sell of fuel then how they will keep up with the national reserves. Tons of gallon is utilised every now and then just like that. From the vehicle to generators and powering emergency services to military vehicles you name it. This is definitely dream because we don’t have other means of fuel or energy producing technology that can beat the oil or gasoline. Green energy is still not as efficient as it supposed to be. Neither it would be beneficial for the Government in terms of making money and foreign reserves on import and export. There bunch of things that will restrict this from happening. Maybe a small country might do it but not everyone through the world.
335  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Ledger's laying off employees. Thoughts? on: October 13, 2023, 11:02:32 AM
That doesn't seem good to me considering the fact that I am having Ledger bought in late 2018. Since then I have never explored other wallets considering I will have to invest more money in my wallet than I could save up in it. Instead, I am using the same wallet to date. In the past, I even lost it once due to home shifting and careless handling of the same (learned lesson already).

Now is not the time for this company to shit around like that.

Should I be worried about its ongoing operations?
From your worries, it's good to differentiate between two things: "Ledger disappearing", and "Ledger lying about the seed phrase never leaving the hardware wallet". I'd worry about the latter, but that's something for another topic. As for the former: If you're worried about relying on Ledger's servers, you shouldn't have used them in the first place.
I like to test my backups before funding a wallet. So here's a test: get an offline air-gapped system without storage and running from a Linux Live DVD, copy Ian Coleman's site, and see if you can reproduce the private keys and addresses that you have in your Ledger from it's seed. Be careful of course not to do dumb things with your seed, and wipe the system's memory (by turning it off) when you're done. I've done this in the past, and it gives me peace of mind that I can restore my funds without any hardware wallet.

Ok task accepted.

But I’m dead scared by just reading the process itself. Lolz. I think I will have to right down the step by step workflow for this since I am not very much experienced with this stuff.

If I am going to do anything like this then I will first move my coins to other address temporarily off course. Then I will do the dummy run as mentioned above. I don’t want to be victim of things that I don’t know. Even when I am normally using ledger I would triple check the shit.

But thanks for the info, reminds me that I have revise and recall my deed phrases in my photographic memory.  Tongue

What I read on the website tells me they are also in the process of launching a new feature that can help us restore the ledger if we ever forget seed phrases. They have not explained it in very much detail but it seems they are going to do that based on "Identity verification".

Pretty much fucked up when we call it a decentralized system. However, it's not available for everyone, meaning you have to enroll in the program.

Anyways, if they have an ongoing project, but they are also laying off the employees, what future does it have?

Fact: My ledger is still holding pretty awesome, I turn it on rarely. Sometimes I have to turn it on to check if it's still operational or not. Lolz.
337  Economy / Gambling / Re: Duelbits.com | Casino & Sportsbook | VIP | Instant withdrawals!|ARGENTINA & AVFC on: October 12, 2023, 02:59:58 PM
Yes we had similar one before if my memory is correct. I’m not sure for which game the bet slip and odds were like this but the response was pretty awesome. It’s nice of Duelbits they are bringing up this partnership. Makes me more close to casinos efforts to entertain the users and show the seriousness in the business. On the other front I am very much interested in spooky rewards. In the last post of mine that is the fact I brought up since we are moving closer to Halloween now. I am hoping that there should be some Flash hours to play with booster spins or something on selected slot or maybe all of them.  Grin
Good luck to all the Duelbits fan who will be playing on the above game and upcoming spooky reward arena.
338  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's the Future of Bitcoin without the Inventor? on: October 12, 2023, 02:32:44 PM
Somehow title did not match the OP, to be honest. I thought you were talking about the inventor, Satoshi, and how his existence or non-existence works for Bitcoin. In anyways is going great with him present or not as you know very well we still don't know who Satoshi is. The source code that he made has already proven its full-proofness and has been running well since then.

I think we need only on-going adaptive development for this code. Since its open to all the greatest developers are already contributing their knwoldeg for its further developments. That is how its gonna survive for the time to come. No one can really screw things up due to it's irreversible blockchain feature. The concept will keep running and thriving for ages.
339  Other / Meta / Re: Huge site outage! on: October 12, 2023, 12:35:07 PM
Great, I thought it was my end that broke the connection. Anyways this is not the first time this happened but after a long wait I started to break down myself whether it’s my end deal or what. Tried checking from different connections also.

If this is response to DDos attacks then is it a mechanism to save the data from blowing up OR is itself a problem within our servers?

Just curious whether this is a wake up call for the admins to make the site more protected from such attacks? I think we need to bring up the discussion of adding 2FA one more time.  Tongue

Edit:

Ahh wait just checked the tweet sneak peak from @EarnOnVictor, it seems we fried some hardwares. Hmm.
