1241  Economy / Economics / Re: Central Bank of Nigeria to limit cash withdrawals on: December 07, 2022, 06:29:25 PM
With economical point of view this is amazing step taken by Nigerian government. The currency conversions should be taken into consideration. Checkout @franky math which tells the actual story behind the scenes. The amount of cash that’s being noted in the bill is optimum for both individual and businesses considering the fact that it is well above the minimum wages and also required daily amount to live in the Nigeria. For us as foreigner it might look like assault but it’s not!! The cashless system will bring power to the economy. However, they must educate everyone to use and adopt it smoothly.
1242  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would Bitcoin no longer be Bitcoin if it were adopted by everyone in the world ? on: December 07, 2022, 03:01:16 PM
Though it would be a lot less attractive as an investment instrument when it reaches 'peak' adoption, why would bitcoin lose value if it's capped at 21 million? Especially if we're making the assumption that it would be the only running currency.

That would be hot currency of the era. Limited supply, increasing demand and most importantly increasing population! Man that would cost hundreds of dollar a Satoshi and still it would be difficult to break it down considering that is the last unit of it.

May be by that time cost of production would be high comparatively and there may not be anything worth few bucks. Or on the other hand it may happen that we will measure everything in Satoshi unit only since fiat wouldn’t be around. Fun but impossible.
1243  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: So USDT is what's keeping TRX alive? on: December 04, 2022, 05:35:24 PM
TRX is so dead that I recalled it after reading this thread and title of it. Couldn’t help it but there are so many projects out there which were really good when they started and they also had enormous volume in the initial days. TRX is one of the example which is just getting dragged along the way and doing nothing about it. It does have good volume but it does not have purpose. Such coins are deadly for long term investments and one should be careful about it. Even USDT is talks with legalities so it’s either bitcoin or directly fiat for me!!
1244  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: First time of owning bitcoin on: December 04, 2022, 04:59:29 PM
I remember my journey of owning first bitcoin was through social chatting over the internet. I used to do lot of paid to Click accounts back in 2014. So I met this guy over ptc site from whom I asked help regarding getting bulk referrals etc. He used to take 5-10 bucks and bam on the following day I used get lot of referrals and that too clicking ones.

When I curiously asked him one day how he is doing it then he said “peeps can do anything for Bitcoin”. That was time when got crazy curious about it. I asked him why everyone wants bitcoin so much and if I am paying you on the dollars then how are paying them in bitcoin?

Al the questions started flooding in. Then I slowly started to learn from him about peer to peer buy and sell. Got my first coin from LocalBitcoin. It was dam good journey.

Today here I am with my own Mining Rig, Nano Ledger S, earning bitcoins from multiple platforms and also teaching others about it all the time.

Thanks to that one unknown person whom I never met but he became good friend along the way. (Note: we talk very less these days, we never seen each other but only Chat now and then, miraculous!)

Henry Ford was famous for saying if the public knew how the economy really functioned, that there would be a revolution by tomorrow morning. Was his prediction correct? I'm not quite seeing it.

I think he is partially right. The problem is not with the peeps neither with their understanding of the economy. The problem is with the system itself. There is always difference between how earning for every individual differs based on their jobs/skills and on larger picture their location (country to country for that matter).

However, coming back to what happened with FTX is fault of either their accounting and management team who screwed up the math, projections and they were not capable to handle it when crypto went more and more bearish with the time.

I see it as failed management of FTX and if not then it’s something related to internal conspiracy!
1246  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The goodness of long-term investing in cryptocurrency on: December 04, 2022, 12:34:30 PM
The theory is good but there is a catch! We do need to understand that the market which we talking about is highly volatile. Meaning, it’s not like general market (share and stocks) where you can see fortune five hundred companies working day and night on a product or services and thus making us realise whether it is going in the right direction or is it going in the wrong one.

Based on that assumption we can actually make decision on long term investing or short term.

For the volatile market along with the fact that we don’t even know who is behind the project or who is running the finances it’s always a risk for long term investment.

1247  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: 5 Bear Market Mistakes to Avoid on: December 03, 2022, 07:11:45 PM
Or there is one single good advice follow on the bear market - HODL.

That is the best friend in this market and you can literally do miracles with hodling process. We can save ourselves from loss, if we do a cold storage then we can stop loosing our heads over panic and FOMO situations and get out of the trouble just like what you mentioned.

A true HDOLER will never ever go through the trouble that you mentioned. So easy than minding five different points.  Grin

I am still confused why the conversation related to art competition and repeated winners is still on. !
I think it’s very natural that if someone talented is in the class then you can’t beat them with an argument but with your own presentation and skills.

I think I already put up one good point few posts back that they have already made few categories so that everyone can compete in most fair way possible.

Moreover I am happy that they are still hosting the competition, no casino has been this much consistent.

I think they are doing great.
1249  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 15M BTC goes into self custody on: December 03, 2022, 06:19:11 PM
Finally something of good news after long time. If Satoshi is out there then he might be happy about it considering peeps are actually going back to normal methodology of using bitcoin. All custodial wallets and p2p preference of transacting. This is what was needed during this period and also as we know that recession is at our doorstep it’s better that bitcoin goes all dormant and trades stop for a while. This is just to relax the community who love to see bitcoin in dollar value all the time. Thanks to FTX lesson. It did good.
1250  Economy / Economics / Re: Notable people on current and upcoming economic issues - should we be worried? on: December 03, 2022, 05:39:37 PM
What kind of protection?
Crypto is driven by public ledger and crypto is going to work until there is no one left to trade it in between two wallets/peers.

Though there remains no one to exchange it then also bitcoin is ideally going to be there forever over blockchain which is permanent and has already made N-nodes thus preserving all the bitcoins that were mined, transacted, exchanged, stored and more.

Quote
They preserve a blockchain's transaction history, sync, store, copy and distribute data while also validating new blocks. They continuously regulate rule adherence, creating a trustworthy database that stays honest.

If you specifically talking about what will happen to bitcoins value then it could go to zero in terms of “fiat” measurement.

However Bitcoin is still going to exist. 1BTC=1BTC
1251  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A single alt coin which gives you profit multiple times? on: December 02, 2022, 03:25:27 PM
For me it’s REMI coin, however sadly the project got doomed and they closed their doors after 2-3 years of journey. It was not scam neither team ran away from the investors. But with the time there was financial issues with the project and they had to close it down way early than what roadmap stated.

I made whooping profits from it. It was easy to trade with low value. The only thing that kept me going on with this coin is, direct owner contacts through various social accounts. They were prompt and energetic. I think that was keeping the project on track and investors interested. Miss it.
1252  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | Crypto’s Fastest Growing Casino 🦘 on: December 02, 2022, 02:53:32 PM

Yes there is still lot of time left for the art contest as the last date is 31st December which gives us almost a month from now also but thinking it other way around then if you are competing with such good artist then you really need to give best to stand a chance but for me winning is secondary and participation in these contest and getting motivation seeing others work is more important. So will try my best rest all depends on how contest goes.

Well as usual it’s gonna be highly competitive. However I am very much impressed that Roobet team has decided to “categorise” the art contest as per nature of the art. That makes it relaxing somehow because we won’t be comparing apples and oranges anymore. The apple is apple and orange is orange this time.  Wink

I have literally lost my faith of winning by last contest. Somehow digits artwork is far more challenging than crafts and it impresses everyone so the former one always loose.

Hope so this time there is some light towards the winning! Good luck to all.
1253  Economy / Economics / Re: Somebody’s been on a gold-buying bender. It’s not clear who — or why. on: December 02, 2022, 02:13:03 PM
How is it possible that we are not able to trace the source who is buying? Kinda started feeling gold is more integral as compared to bitcoin if we are not able to track down heavy metal like that?

Also Russia can be in picture because they already have oil as precious asset with them and if they want overpower others then what could be best way than buying another precious asset like Gold and that too when global recession is piling up day by day.

Russia might have thought this through. What world needs most right now is good financial reserves in the national treasury to survive the upcoming apocalypse. But without any strong proof it would be just conspiracy.
1254  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ponzi scheme scammer uses BTC to cover tracks on: December 02, 2022, 11:24:37 AM
You should search for this term on the Google “QNET”.

You will see stories of peeps around the globe who got scammed in millions of dollars and nobody knew how to recover the same. Though there is proper channel, valid registration of companies and if you go and complain about it to the authorities they will have answers to every steps that you took at the time of investing money and why you lost it.

When you register for the schemes they will add you to the down line and they will gift you holiday packages and take you to big 7 star hotels overseas and have meet ups.

They will literally brain wash you with all those pleasures and leisure trips and you will find yourself at a spot where it feels like dreamy and you can’t get out of it.

If you lodge complain about their fraud then they will simply tell court that they spent money on your trips, present all your photos and videos and airplane tickets and stuff.

They will cover A to Z trails and that’s why they are running smoothly till date.

The only difference is, it was used to be in fiat currency and now BITCOIN is way to make it more private and easy to convince.

The November price betting was really surprising because of ETH. The price landed on to the range of $1251 - $1500 which had the odds of 4.63x
Those are some pretty good returns. As for the December price betting, if we look at the history, the price might actually decline because of the holidays.

Yes they were good odds and very less number of peeps actually bet on it because of obvious reasons. No one thought that price would move to such great extent. However that is how it works, those who are taking risks by betting on high odd windows will always get amazing rewards for it. However, that happens rarely and this was the rare chance to get most of the money back from all the previous losses if any.

If you watch carefully then there are peeps who are also betting on very very high odds and the price range is more than 20-30% drifted. That kinda risky bet they take. :-D
1256  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why everybody is panicking ? Its a game of greed and fear ! on: December 01, 2022, 06:04:52 PM
It’s a game of patient and who HODLING for really long period of time. Bitcoin is something which is greedy of time! It’s slow but it’s highly effective getting valued for itself with the time. If we are going to invest into crypto and mostly focused on bitcoin then definitely irrespective of the trend whether it is bearish or bullish one should be best hodler in the market. As far as greed is considered we are humans and we have survival instincts to beyond and try our luck. That’s what happens in the crypto. They keep trading even they have gotten something.
1257  Economy / Economics / Re: A Hundred UK Companies To Adopt Four-Day Working Week With No Pay Cut on: December 01, 2022, 05:35:11 PM
This is fine for the information technology field or what they call it a white collar job; but I highly doubt that it is going to be Share of Manufacturing companies! For them it is impossible to tackle the need of world whether it is car production, clothe production or simple paper production company they are going to run 24x7 due to the fact that they need to keep feeding their distribution channels, retailers and the pipeline is always moving. In fact many truckers would do overtime just to catch up with the Timeline.

I am not sure how 4 days of work would -work! This is definitely not possible in the Asian countries. The clock is literally insufficient for the amount of work that’s done here. May be Europes gonna be lucky one to tackle this.
1258  Other / Off-topic / Re: Dangerous life of crypto-billionaires on: December 01, 2022, 05:10:43 PM
Interesting how the article is connecting all the dots and making it feel like it’s the truth. But I don’t think we should make big deal out of this. They are billionaires and they always do many things in their lives that we don’t know of!

They might be on drugs, booz, weed and what not? They could be having bad lifestyle which is leading them to die in their sleeps.

It could be merely mechanical fault in the helicopter and much more.

Just the way you have stated a prediction in one way, the above one is to look at it in another. I don’t think we should take this seriously.

###################BEST TIME TO HEAT UP RIGS###################

Most of the miners / non-miners think that when we are in bearish market we are loosing the time and energy that is being spent on the mining. However, I think exactly opposite to that. I have kept my miners running 24*7 without any further hesitation. I am loosing lot of patience now and then but I have made my self prepared for the worst!

I want to make good example of HODLER out of me and this is one of the attempts to do so!

In my journey I have already profited from the miners, I have recovered my ROI's and stuff. I am in the 4th year of mining. Though first two years were little harsh as I was learning it but now everything is on track.

I know that market will revive itself and all my HODLING's will turn green soon!

- HODLING MINER  :D
1260  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: FTX drama stressing people for no reason | How to stay neutral on: November 30, 2022, 06:19:29 PM
Yeah this is going to stick for a while now. In amazon is now making mini series based on the FTX collapse which means we are going to remember the FTX drama for very very long time. I just hope they do it as positive lesson for crypto community and future generations who are the new aspirants to take bitcoin in right direction. They must not make negative impression with this series.

Neither we should keep talking about it any further. I think what’s happen is happen, now it’s time to learn from it and go ahead with more decentralised storyline. Smiley
