1021  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | Crypto’s Fastest Growing Casino 🦘 on: March 04, 2023, 06:10:26 PM
Congratulations Roobet for the new partnership. That is just beautiful to see how Roobet is working hard towards more injected marketing and growing at the same time. Roobet has become one of the most rewarded gambling site in my view. I knew this since the time I got on to it. In fact Roobet was the one where I started my Crash game trivia and enjoyed a lot. I still remember how Roobet gave participants few bucks to try out the game and guess what I made 50-60 out of it right in the first transaction.

From those days up until big partnerships, Roobet is definitely doing great things. Keep it up Roo team. Hope to see more such future endeavours and growth. <3
1022  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Births Another Set Of Millionaires As BTC Nears $24,000 on: March 04, 2023, 05:23:19 PM
Great, so finally bitcoin is getting recognised as more of a hodl asset rather than spending it as soon as it moves a dollar up. Lolz. I hope this will bring more attention towards its long term use case rather than just spending it on bullish trends. In fact the more they will resist selling the more it get valued.

However, it’s also sadden to see that peeps are still believing their bitcoins are in safe hand by keeping them on the exchanger. The shift I. The exchanger reserve is good to know but not in terms of safety really.

The hodling shift of cold storage should increase a lot with the time. That would be concrete thing to know man.
1023  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Did they not know about the importance of Bitcoin? on: March 04, 2023, 03:59:03 PM
Bitcoin price history

Martti Malmi aka Sirius
Laszlo Hanyecz aka laszlo. He made a Bitcoin Pizza day. One person is less known, BitcoinFX who engaged in that Pizza deal.
theymos. We all know about theymos.  Smiley

I am getting to know this for the first time and wondering why these guys are not that much active on the forum.

By the sirius profile link isn’t working and for laszlo and bitcoinfx both links are same profile.

Anyways, coming to the original post I’m pretty sure bitcoin held least importance at the time because most of them just used it as fun stuff or may be just to “try it out”.  But I’m sure nobody ever thought about the future of bitcoin in that way.

We live by our senses. We see what’s happening in our surroundings and accommodate that way. However, at that time bitcoin could have been just not much interesting stuff for them or they had fun sending it and buy something for it. That was their achievement.

I’m still happy those events happened. They gave us big time learning.
1024  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How would the world be if Bitcoin wasn't created on: March 03, 2023, 08:31:54 PM
Ultimately graphic cards would have been very cheap and gaming industries would have been way way slower in making the modern GPU.

Formation of bitcoin has revolutionised many things in the world. Whether it is forcing develop new powering CPU or establishing huge mining industries around the globe we would have missed all of that.

All the countries would have had those boring financial budgets and none of the financial institute would have been so much active.
1025  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: In the best interest of investors, Bounties shouldn't be paid in Tokens on: March 03, 2023, 07:19:49 PM
I get your grudge but bounties are meant to market their own products and in fact they pay in tokens because they can safeguard their real money which was /is invested by investors. If they start paying in other tokens then they will have to buy them for real money which they raised from the investor token sales. It will turn around on them if project failed eventually. In addition to this, giving their own tokens will start publishing about it right away. Peeps keep talking about I have this coin that coin and thus it gets marketed that way as well. I hardly think there are any projects who experimented like this and got success at it.
1026  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Willing to invest on bitcoin but having some challenges. on: March 03, 2023, 06:46:45 PM
I think it is both risky and profitable for this guy to invest in the bitcoin. Imagine if he buys bitcoin today by connecting in favourable conditions but somehow goes dark for next couple of months. Let’s assume he bought at 20k mark and when he returned online after getting favourable conditions and saw that bitcoin has gone above 50k USD. Imagine his happiness and fruit for his “cold storage”.

But, obviously we know very well that crypto does not work like that all the time. The reverse condition is also true in this regards where he could have had opportunities to sell at higher prices but by the time he reach his wallet it could be reversal of the same.

I think stability and connectedness to the internet is vital part here.
1027  Economy / Economics / Re: My survival strategies in this harsh economic conditions on: March 03, 2023, 05:51:04 PM
I liked Low spending on celebrations and growing crops at home. The most economical ways to grow your balance as well as save some on junk foods really. These days peeps tend to spend big chunks of money on celebrations. They would care more on decorations and what others will think about it rather than being simple about it and spending more on let’s say donations on those holy days, feeding the hungry kinds stuff. Anyways, even if they don’t do it then they can save amazing amount of money.

Growing crops at home is another trend that is viral. Peeps who love gardening should take up this seriously and learn to do “hydroponic farming”. The cheapest  and less space consuming type of farming. One can smoothly do it and also save up there. Great article to learn basics of savings.
1028  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: March 02, 2023, 07:13:49 PM
For FUN or ETH I doubt we will see much movement in price, since ETH has gotten in PoS last September the price change has been not as big as it used to be before moving to PoS which had a lot of volatility,so I exclude betting on ETH and FUN and would only bet on Bitcoin price.

Isnt it abit too early to conclude that you wont be betting on ETH or FUN? I mean March has just started so there could be some interesting movement on crypto this month and of course if there is any big movement on btc then eth will definitely follow the positive trend. I do wish we will have positive trend onward till the end of the year but yeah its just stale there

I am not sure but I think ETH and FUN are slow mover since very much long time. At least I can bet on the fact that FUN is slowest token that moves around here. I am observing it since very long because of my premium membership and to keep track of my returns.

Every 15-30 days if i Check the price then it’s somehow unchanged all the time. I’m not sure if it is just me or everyone else observed this?

Anyways, now I’m not concerned about FUN betting but more or less my returns for staking. I really thought FUN would be much more higher by the time of maturity of my coins but it seems it is going to be another long wait.
1029  Economy / Economics / Re: Benefit from Higher Education? on: March 02, 2023, 06:54:19 PM
Education is prerequisite for proper understanding of how business works or rather how the word works. You gain huge experience from the direct / practical approaches, and no one can disagree on that. However, you can not do it or furnish the knowledge with proper guidance which comes from the education.

Obviously the education that you will pursue has to be same as that of your business nature or at least it should directly associated with the finances and marketing.

The last two are pillars of the successful business. If someone is strong at it then they could pick up good pace at business.
1030  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Robbery that attacks Bitcoin Holders on: March 01, 2023, 06:45:28 PM
Flaunting about what you own is one thing while living with it peacefully is another best thing. I am pretty sure they studied him very well before going so crazy around him. They knew where he is staying, with whom he is, and what are the security aspects around the Villa. It’s not like he is way to much popular to be knows by everybody but the fact that he already caught up in the mess.

Anyways, I think it is more important to understand that he was safe and sound after the incidence happened including his gf. The scenario could have been different crime scene but instead they just lost money and nothing else. Hope so he has learnt his lesson and will live to fullest.
1031  Economy / Economics / Re: The current situation in the country Nigeria. on: March 01, 2023, 05:20:47 PM
For this very situation Mr Satoshi has given us a way to be free from the que in front of bank stop wasting our time. If peeps in Nigeria come together and ask for better infrastructure then it could change many things for them. I am talking about basic necessity of internet, cyber café or smartphones. Considering the fact that you are able to post here you must be having proper internet connection and access to multimedia device.

That is all is needed for every person in the Nigeria so that they can start using bitcoin. Imaging if from merchant to Retailer to consumer everyone starts tagging stuff in bitcoin (without converting to fiat) then they can raise the standard immediately and earn huge along the way.

They won’t be needing any sort of bank. They have chance but they should take it wisely.
1032  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you say about this investment plan on: February 28, 2023, 07:04:18 PM
There are better option than this. Stablecoins aren’t that good in managing their legalities when the time comes and thus eventually they fail. With SEC and CBDC watching over the Stablecoins far more strictly things are now going wild really. Many Stablecoins projects are trying to keep up the 1 buck price by forcing the money into system and most of the time using money that belongs to the investors. This could be risky bet in the long terms. Crypto space has many more options but not limited to this. Best way you should go for other portfolios and earn back let’s say on staking.
1033  Economy / Economics / Re: Is renting an inevitable waste of money? on: February 28, 2023, 06:47:44 PM
Renting is only good for businesses with high margins and possibility of gaining clients locally or “pull nature”. For example banks!! They always rent their spaces and wouldn’t buy any fix property for their branches except the Head quarters or registered offices. Most of the time they do this because a branch could get closed due to low customer retention or particular location may not be beneficial etc. Though it happens rarely in the banks. However, there are other businesses like restaurants, storage units etc who will be on rented space only.

However, they are businesses and they are managing it on the profits.

But when it comes to the renting home, we are literally giving away money in the hands of owner. It would be far better to choose bank loan and own the house and pay EMI instead of rents.
1034  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bold step to invest my fiat in Bitcoin on: February 28, 2023, 06:27:18 PM
That is good to see buddy but you bette tjee increasing your stakes over the period of time. Now everyone always measure bitcoin in terms of their local currencies and considering the fact that you already have highly competitive prices against dollar, the bitcoin must be insane figure. Looking at the screenshot itself gives whole picture of it.

I would suggest you stick to your plans and do not listen to what others has to say. You have benefit of getting higher money when world will be earning X USD sun their locality, you will be earning huge Niara for sure. Just do the math properly. You could be local heroic investor soon.
1035  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Anonymity vs. KYC: The Pros and Cons of Cryptocurrency Exchanges on: February 26, 2023, 06:10:27 PM
On one hand, KYC can help prevent fraud, money laundering, and other illegal activities.

Technically, yes. But in the grand scheme of things, KYC does more harm than good. We couldn't count now how much platforms(inside and outside the cryptocurrency space) have been hacked and with their databases breached.

Yup, having KYC always has been harm actually. With more and more projects coming to life they will start asking for KYC as mandatory step for user account verification. This is not just limited to exchangers anymore but also to the new alt projects with high throughput.

It’s literally getting equal to having a bank account opening process and submitting everything to the world. One thing is sure, you can’t trust exchanger and how big or secure they claim themselves it won’t matter. There always be someone smarter to hack into it.
1036  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Bitcoin Disrupting our Financial Landscape? on: February 26, 2023, 04:13:00 PM
Definitely it has brought mega changes to the financial system. If there wasn’t stepping in of the bigger authorities like SEC, CBDC, and overall government then we would have said that bitcoin had no impact on the global system.

But it did move all of them. Bitcoin made everyone to think about it and change the rules and regulations for every country. There are agendas about bitcoin in the Intenrational meet ups so definitely it has become something different.

As far as developing countries are concerned there are only few who are really trying to squeeze it in. For example, Nigeria, Thailand, and some part of Asia. But yes, it’s making that inevitable change which is needed in the banking system.
1037  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 13 years ago Theymos sold 160btc at $0.003 per 1, lowest price ever recorded on: February 26, 2023, 03:14:28 PM
That is really amazing fact to see and read about. Wow I did not know peeps were so much excited about bitcoin at the beginning. You can clearly see the enthusiasm from the Reddit thread and also suggested thread after you open it. All of them mesmerise the beginning of time where everyone was curious about the new technology, it’s mining on the pentium machine and much more.

This was the excitement which made bitcoin what it is today.

Sadly, no one talks about it with the same curiosity. Now a days it’s all about how high it can go.

Interesting but you can not prove it is a cheapest price for Bitcoin. You must to have something, other deals to compare.

The first successful trade with Bitcoin is Pizza for bitcoins?
It equates to $41 in 2010

$41 for 10,000 BTC and 1 BTC was traded at $0.0041, 41 cents. It is a higher price than theymos' deal.

This does not matter because OP clearly stated that theymos’ lowest “price rate” transaction. Not the volume to be precise.

1039  Economy / Economics / Re: Rules of Taxes on: February 25, 2023, 04:55:00 PM
What you explaining is related to tax slabs. Basically tax slabs are done based on the income of person or entity. Irrespective of the profession, category of work and nature of work one can get benefited from the tax system only if they don’t fit in the tax slab.

For example, in my country around 10,000 USD per year is considered as low wagering and Non Taxed slab. However, single Penny above it Will be considered as tax slab of 5%.

This percent will increase based on the amount of income one individual is having. The maximum tax slab in my country is 30%. For businesses GST is another type of tax that needs to be paid monthly or quarterly.
1040  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Your bitter-sweet experience in trading that you can't get over. on: February 25, 2023, 04:17:42 PM
When it comes to trading it’s always bad experience for me. Lolz. The thing is I am not able to grasp TA to very professional level. For example, I have always advised peeps to have proper knowledge of TA and FA while making your trades. I am able to do that because I know how fusilier look like when you learn something but you fail in the practical reality. My only bad experience is when I tried to go for multiple coin portfolio to achieve those dream profits. Soon I got the feeling I was shaking while making trades even when I calculated the risk up front. I failed in 1-2 coins and it impacted my decision making process on the other ones thus they failed in sequence as well. I just hope that you will get lesson from this as what to do and what not.
