1221  Economy / Economics / Re: Forget a return to office: We’re living in the age of side hustles on: December 15, 2022, 01:57:11 PM
Definitely we are living in the era of side hustles. With all the reasons plotted above there are also valid reasons like need of “multiple income” sources considering increased cost of living while less salary hikes for the fixed salary jobs.

There is even craze of doing “moonlight works” everywhere. By definition it means one person joining 2 or more than 2 companies at the same time to earn more money. This tells us the story that living has become very hard. If you don’t have bank accounts full of cash then you have to keep struggling with side hustles and moon Light work.
1222  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The reason Dogecoin could fail in the future on: December 14, 2022, 08:21:17 PM
Dogecoin gained popularity due to its low cost as well as its welcoming community.

Dogecoin gained popularity because one billionaire was bored one day and he thought to make joke about meme coin on the twitter. The billionaire is none than Elon Musk who made the craziest funny jokes about DOGE coin and it's possible applications in his virtual space. It got pumped like crazy because peeps thought that it has billionaires back and they can safely earn millions of dollars out of it.

Only few of them were able to gain huge amount of money from this incidence. I mean they might have been investing DOGE at right time and opportunity. Those who were going FOMO did investments at very wrong times and lost till the last penny.

Definitely fact check needed before saying anything about DOGE.
1223  Other / Off-topic / Re: Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL) on: December 14, 2022, 07:52:35 PM
Quote
Okay, back to the main gist. If she fails to make repayment on the loan plus interest within the said date every month, her access to most of the functionalities on the device will be locked. Since then she has been thinking, who really benefits from the Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL) -  the customer,  the company or the BNPL vendor(third-party credit specialists that manage the BNPL program)?

Not funny. Those who do not understand what exactly BNPL is and how it works then they should not really use it. BNPL is not offered by any third services out of the blue. The funding is provided by major finance companies and banks to the third party services who are "agents" and get commission for bringing such potential customers.

These all services are linked to or traced back to your CIBIL!!

That's most critical part of your life if you know what it is. If she misses payment then her status will turn to defaulter and same will reflect in her CIBIL report.

Missed a small repayment of phone? No issues, CIBIL got you covered. Now, the day comes when she wants to buy her dream house and go to the bank for loan application. Oops, it just got rejected, know why? Well because she missed repayment on BNPL!!

That's why not funny.

And as far as recovery is considered its insured by reserve banks. That's entirely different book subject.
1224  Economy / Economics / Re: This could be the biggest news in 2022 on: December 14, 2022, 07:24:49 PM
Really, just 15 millions. Looks like micro finance bank. With the current era and the market valuations 15 million for bank is literally cheapest deal in the history. I mean big businesses take that much credit loans for their CC accounts and you telling us they bought entire bank with just 15 million bucks.  Cheesy
Bitcoin group might have made nicest move while making this deal and definitely best men were at work on that day.

Looking at the news it seems they only had limited 150,000 shares. This means the price per share was only $100?

I think that makes sense why it was completely bought.

Good example if you compare with the crypto coins. For example, no single person can own entire bitcoin economy because it is distributed ledger (public) and its almost next to impossible to be owned by one person.

Because in todays date if someone wants to buy 100% share of the Bitcoin then they will need to pay $ 329,596,623,538 USD.  Cool
1225  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cold storage dilemma on: December 14, 2022, 06:56:38 PM
Taking your facts in consideration even paper wallet is far more safer then. You know there is fact, if you try to hold something far beyond its capacity then it could burst out badly. Well whether it is materialistic thing or non-materialistic it applies to both of them in similar fashion. So when you have your bitcoins stored into something; be it hardware wallet/paper/normal app/paper etc then you will start thinking too much about its safety then you will be more worried about it and once you worry too much you will start making mistakes.

If you just store it in normal wallet, have its private keys stored properly and just keep calm then I am sure your bitcoin's gonna stay there forever unless and until you access and move them.

And about the multisig, yup we can advance as time moves, just keep it normal guys, nothing moves unless until we move it.
1226  Economy / Economics / Re: The Labor Market Is Broken on: December 11, 2022, 08:44:29 PM
This makes “freelance” industry go top of everything. No wonder how they keep hiring employees in contract basis and start paying them only half of what fixed salaried employees earn these days. All the big companies lay off employees and literally get contracts with the third party Client so that they can handle their businesses at cheaper rates. It’s really getting admixture of substandard and standard practices in the field of employment. Not good for long term economical standards.
1227  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why I Disliked Bitcoin on: December 11, 2022, 08:22:15 PM
In my country adoption is so high that government is now trying to impose 30% flat taxes on it so that users either can’t use it all or may be they want big share from the pie. In anyway, that makes sense how bitcoin is highly demanded in my country. Unlike you I have not started using bitcoin at 95% daily basis because of the fact that I need to pay 30% taxes but I have started saving money into bitcoin instead. This will ensure that I am in crypto sphere all the time and when time comes in the future I will be able to trade it freely. That’s the point here. If anyone’s lagging behind then now is the time to upgrade to bitcoin.
1228  Economy / Economics / Re: A new dimension in the FTX saga: Sam doesn't read books! on: December 11, 2022, 07:42:31 PM
That’s not FTX saga, this has become publicity of SBM SAGA. The name is everywhere man, it’s so boring to hear it again and again. I mean what the hell, that dude is now famous because of the negative publicity. Now look at the news media like this bringing up shitty facts about SBM and how he does not read the books and what are his thoughts…..why the hell anyone would want to know about him we already got to know what kind of personality he holds after his mismanagement or may be conspiracies that gave rise to FTX incidence. That’s really shameful.
1229  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Starbucks Launches Beta of Web3 Odyssey on Polygon Network on: December 11, 2022, 07:22:32 PM
Cool this is masterpiece man! I love the whole idea of hunting the tickets and stamps to go through the “journey” of Starbucks. They have come up with good utilisation strategy of blockchain. This will do both the things, help spread the word of blockchain and ultimately the crypto world (by means of NFT) and also flashing their coffee everywhere on the blockchain. This is really cool idea tbh, and I hope they get grand success in it. In addition to all, it’s a Starbucks so their NFT’s will definitely go crazy High over the period of time. Peeps will love to buy them all the time.
1230  Economy / Economics / Re: Do your work. on: December 10, 2022, 06:52:26 PM
Amazing, that reference to the value to volume is really nice. Many peeps still talk about how the real estate prices have gone off the roof and if they would have bought a piece of land 15 years back then it would have been so cheap etc etc.
However they forget that before 15 years back the value of fiat was also high for someone earning an investing in that particular year itself. The salary that is given and the hikes that are given actually deceptive, they mean nothing because every year “everything” gets costlier in the same ratio. Funny but that’s how economy works.
1231  Economy / Economics / Re: Have Satoshi dream failed? on: December 10, 2022, 05:59:28 PM
We are surely at the stage where presence of authorities has increased a lot with the time. I find it intriguing because they were not that much involved when bitcoin was really new and it was considered to be a bubble and nothing more. As spons as market gone crazy so as to governments fabled by the universe of bitcoin.

However, you can not deny the fact that if we are living in this world then it’s not up to the bitcoin (p2p services) to have transfer methodology. Bitcoin is just an alternative to traditional system with vision that everyone can have free will of transfer, pseudonymous and without any limits.

We still follow we still vote and we will keep doing that. It doesn’t mean bitcoin failed or Satoshi’ vision failed. It’s just part of it with complex stage.
1232  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My first sponsored Bitcoin seminar on: December 10, 2022, 01:31:24 PM
Cool, you did a good job by presenting this seminar. Many of them thinking it’s not needed but I believe it’s indeed needed in the region where bitcoin outreach is not that strong and peeps really need to hear about it from someone trusted. For this, definitely we need local hero’s like you who can keep spreading the good lessons about it.

You had courage to arrange sponsored seminar like this, go in front of those peeps and teach about it.

You can create your own lessons from trusted sources, have modules for step by step teaching. :-)

Good luck mate. Congratulations.
1233  Economy / Economics / Re: Use your money wisely. Invest or Deposit ? on: December 09, 2022, 08:04:49 PM
Frankly speaking that’s lot of money man. You need to invest it smartly and kee growing it further. Now let’s not talk about banks because they are anyways giving us oranges for apples so that’s bad deal. With this much amount I would make multiple investment streams. Starting from best stocks from the Share market. (The real one). Will buy multiple of them with promising future. Then I will straight away keep buying bitcoin multiple times. I won’t buy it altogether but I will do DCA strategy to have lower BEP. This way I will be securing best of both worlds and make sure my money is growing slowly and steadily.
1234  Other / Archival / Re: Harsh crypto winter for all categories of crypto users on: December 09, 2022, 05:37:45 PM
There is no money inflow, there is no money pouring from the sky to pay inflated wages to hundreds of people, new projects are not attracting investors as much, there are no buyers, and the much needed clean-up time is finally here when a ton of useless stuff will finally be thrown where it belongs, in the garbage bin.
Anyone who believed we could simply have millions of people living from crypto by just creating coins and trading back and forth shitcoins is going to have a serious wake-up call, the only services that will not be affected that much will be the ones that don't depend on the value of the coin, gambling sites or merchants because they don't sell coins, they sell services or goods.

Yes, this is similar to thinking that we can get over with the recession by printing more and more money. That is FEDs psychology and method of working. But anyways we have already seen the consequences of such high money printing which comes out of thin air but it does not fulfil the vacates present in the ecosystem. You would be devaluing the currency and once the demand is over it’s gonna crush.

What @stompix stated about crypto is similar to that. Only in this case we have pre minted coins, we have the number but we are unsure of the demand. On fine day it could be heavy on the other day it could be zero.
1235  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What will you do in this case? on: December 09, 2022, 05:03:57 PM
I would ask them to convert everything into bitcoin or stablecoin for time being. Though the name of every asset which is in contact with FTX has been painted red one can still trust the Altcoins which were involved directly but to the extent where we believe they still have the powerful project idea behind them. Not all of them gonna be success. Some of them actually find such incidences as exit scam strategy! Better watch your investment carefully. This is why better choose bitcoin straight away and keep up with the market. Also let them also decide, try to be direction giver but ask them to decide themselves. No one is right in this market.
1236  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Trading Crypto With a Job.. on: December 08, 2022, 05:15:45 PM
That’s definitely not my pie. I would never risk my full time job and trading at the same time. First thing is you will not be able to focus on both with 100% accuracy which means either of the work won’t be doing right. Depending on your jobs nature you may choose to do it but it’s really not recommended. You could follow news on the go regarding the coins which you are trading but it should not become your habit. It may hamper your work quality and result into after effects at appraisals. At least these are my thoughts
1237  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Friends and Family members want me to invest for them, help! on: December 08, 2022, 04:54:50 PM
Whether such thought should come or not is different story however I would suggest you should stay away from such work. You can teach them about crypto and opportunities available in the space but you should also mention the risks present and let them do it on their own. I think that’s the best thing you can do. Even if they are not happy with your decision then also it’s entirely fine because it could be terrifying later if somehow there is loss in their trade or investment.
1238  Economy / Economics / Re: LMAO: Lagarde says Euro CBDC seeks to 'ensure high standars of privacy'. on: December 08, 2022, 04:08:04 PM
So similar to what Nigeria is doing, similar to what china and India and El Salvador. Basically agenda of every country is same, to bring prominent digitalisation within the country. This is either with the intention of making country free from black money OR this could be superseded in the view of crypto usage. So they might be trying to divert the attention of peeps from crypto space and let them know government has got their back. While the idea might seem elegant in the view of authorities like CBDC and may be SEC, it’s dumb idea. There is still large population who still rely on the cash and carry business.
1239  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Create wealth first before the use of bitcoin on: December 08, 2022, 03:46:51 PM
I think I have reverse psychology while using the bitcoin. You can actually create wealth by saving little chunks now and then in the form of bitcoin. If we are going to enter into the market with the attitude that bitcoin is going to make me wealthy and thus I need to buy half million worth btc right from start then definitely it’s gonna put wrong impression.

On the other hand if you start saving now and then every month then you can see how bitcoin is going to make you millionaire after few years.

That Time Wait wager is something magical.

It’s been 13+ yrs now, more 13+ will go just like that. We will still have life to live, better start saving in bitcoin and let it grow.
1240  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: BASIC TRADING UNDERSTANDING on: December 07, 2022, 06:56:37 PM
Great efforts making this valuable topic. The fun fact is while making such big topics we learn more it ourselves rather than the other readers because I know how much we spend on making such huge topics and by reading them over and over again.
Most of the points and your personal views are valid. No doubt that every trader has to be evaluator of every factors in the trading market. For example whether it is technical to factual analysis or just a simple logic behind the stop loss we all have to study it and execute that particular plan of action based on them.
