321  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do I succeed as a trader in 2024 on: December 28, 2023, 09:44:04 PM
As we enter the 2024, many people are making plans on how to achieve financial success and personally I have decided that trading will be one of my area of focus. I'm gathering information on how to go about it. Your opinion will be highly appreciated.
What you gonna do OP as a beginner is to gain knowledge first, you can try demo accounts as a practice as you can use this in actual trade. Focus on gaining experience, not on earning a profit. You will surely suffer losses in trading due to some mistakes but never be afraid of it instead consider this as a tool for you to improve. You can watch tutorials online and get some ideas there. But have to say that don't get too stressed and overtrade because this is not a healthy practice and this is one reason why you fail. Enjoy what you are doing, this is very important and if you find out that was not effective, stop for a while and think about the reason why before doing it again.
322  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Seems it's alt season... Any suggestions..? on: December 28, 2023, 09:10:05 PM
Just to expect this to happen when the price of Bitcoin arises for this is what we call the mutual effect to the altcoins.
However, you should carefully choose them OP and try not to fall into manipulated price increases because there are a lot of them. Have to look for valuable coins instead of looking at hyped projects especially if your goal is to sell them during Bullrun.

Seeing your list, I'm afraid I couldn't agree with them...be careful in investing in new projects, they are scams.
323  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Tapales for Unified Super Bantamweight Title - December 26 on: December 28, 2023, 03:46:09 PM
If only Tapales had the same power as Donaire, then maybe the fight would be more interesting, but you know, Donaire is unique, no Filipino boxer that has the same power as his.

Unfortunately he doesn't have that, he is just a technical fighter who are only good against boxers who are not quick and heavy hitter. Inoue is just too exeptional, he is fast and a heavy hitter, that's why his opponent can't make a mistake as that will certainly result to a KO. And as what we had witness, Tapales was trying not to create a mistake, but eventually due to the heavy blow from Inoue, he got wear down and Inoue has taken advantage on that.

I'm seeing post that some Filipinos are proud of Tapales, well, that's good because Tapales did well in surviving, and no boxer right now in the same divison and lower could level on Inoue's talent and skills.
324  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: License: is it a guarantee? on: December 28, 2023, 03:04:05 PM
Some users said it's give additional security, verifiable fairness, legitimacy etc, when to obtain the license is easy, just fill the forms and pay some money, that's.

In that case it's important to check the license providers of a certain gambling sites. I know there are plenty of license providers out there that doesn't have a good reputation, so it's one thing that has to be considered.

As a gambler, we should check if the lisence provider is reputable, and if the casino is reputable. If theses two are present, then I can say that it will help give you additional security as license provider have some standards to be followed before they'll issue a license.
325  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Anyone can succeed as a bitcoin trader on: December 27, 2023, 08:53:12 AM
Anyone - that is right but not all because not all are also willing to wait and not all are willing to correct their mistakes.

Trading as we know is risky, many traders can't bear it and so they quit after suffering losses. This means that only those who can carry the risk and carefully manage their emotions will likely reach their goal. Because this field is not just about money, I can trade because I have a lot of money, but this will involve proper knowledge and skills, a market approach, and a mindset that most traders don't have.
326  Economy / Speculation / Re: Your feelings if Bitcoin price takes your expectations unaware on: December 25, 2023, 05:01:23 PM
As a short-term goal Bitcoin Investor whose eyes has been on the Bitcoin market and has accumulated as much Bitcoin while expecting the bull-run markets to come and skyrockets so you can sell you Coins at a profitable higher price, and then you wake up lately maybe at night or sometimes in the morning and learns that Bitcoins value rate (Price) hitted the market even times 3 of what you expected for example, you awaits the market to hit $65K and then it hits $165K just at your slightest mistake of given the markets charts monitoring maybe few minutes or an hour break and then it depreciated unimpressively against your will probably even below your hodling value at your notice, how would you feel at it?
Disappointed about the situation however holders can take it and are still able to keep calm.
The reason why most people miss the opportunity to sell their coins during its peak is because of their greediness, the nature of most human beings. Most of the time we think that THERE is MORE, and then fail.

Honestly, it happens to me during the first bull season (2017). I miss selling because of the circulated rumors that more pumps are coming, yet I just found out that it was already the ATH price when I saw the price decline. I'd realize how important to deal with our greediness and fight against it because this is a huge factor affecting our decision-making.
327  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When do you take out your investment when in profit? on: December 25, 2023, 04:11:02 PM
A lot of my altcoins have pumped over the last month or so and it has got me wondering when the best time is to take out initial investment.

Is it too early to take it out once you have doubled your money , is waiting till you have done a 5x or more too greedy?

My best investment so far has been Myria - I got lucky with this one and bought pretty much at the bottom a few months ago and I took my investment out last week once it did a 10x so I am now holding a bag of Myria with no risk.

I have other altcoins I am holding that I am up 3 or 4x on but have not taken profit yet but thinking of doing so , just take my investment out then I am holding more with no risk.

What does everyone else do when it comes to altcoins?

If you have invested in altcoins and have made this significant profit as you’ve said, maybe it’s time for you to take out your profit from the investment. We all know altcoins are risky investments but when you’re lucky, you can make a lot within a short time. While many are totally shit coins, some fews that make it up to some significant points, take your profits from them before they also start crashing. You’ve made smart investments by choosing those coins you invested in, the market is not looking good for many altcoins now, and getting 3X or 4X profits from an altcoin investment should be appreciated. Take your profit now and leave is my humble suggestion for you now.
Whether it is Altcoins or Bitcoin, they are all risky but considering the common behavior of these altcoins, it is found to be relevant to not waiting it long to sell. A decision to sell is the best option for them once seeing it pump as we can never expect such momentum to take long, it just rises for a while and dumps after the surge. Missing the chance won't make us regret this will be difficult to expect it back especially if we are investing in hyped projects or those worthless coins (shitcoins).

We have to be smart when investing in altcoins. Some people will say patience is the key but must deal with altcoins separately and uniquely.
328  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who among you here is gambling at work? on: December 25, 2023, 12:29:12 PM
Yes, some may think that gambling is work is wrong while others may have a different point of view. I think as long as you can balance between the office work and gambling, and the office work is not compromised because of your gambling, then it may be on to gamble at work.
Yes, now everything is much simpler than before. Every person has a smartphone with Internet access. So what's the problem with spinning slots during your lunch break? Even and not only during vacation. )) But this kind of thing already looks like a gaming addiction. Everyone, of course, makes their own decision.

But why should your work colleagues know about this? There may be some very unpleasant rumors that will reach the authorities. Some companies have a very negative attitude towards such hobbies.

If this is a big deal with the company, this should not be done. Gambling during at work can be easily violated if the company doesn't have the internal control to prevent this from happening. I think they should implement such control effectively since some of their employees might be tempted in gambling. And they can't assume that there employees don't gamble since no one would say they gamble just to be hired for the job, but in reality, they are actually gambling.

Although we can say that the control is on us employees, but a company has interest to protect, if their people make mistakes in doing their job due to lack of concentration, that will affect the company as a whole, so prevention is always better as the potential problem is already seen.
329  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Wilder Vs Parker & Joshua Vs Wallin Boxing Mega Saudi card 23rd December on: December 25, 2023, 11:50:36 AM
You know what? I am actually really impressed that such kind of even was even managed. While we see how hard and long negotiations are with top boxers, but this time, in rather quick and easy manner UAE has organized an even with such stars. AJ, Wilder, Parker, Bivol, Dubois, Opetaia in single night. It is rare to see such. I dont care a lot about results (even though Wilder fight stands out from others), as whole event was great.

It was made possible because promoters are willing to spend a lot of money to make it happen. We have lots of rich people in that country, just like when they hosted the Fury vs Ngannou fight, both made a decent paycheck. There are even rumors before that they are willing to pay big money just to make a Pacman vs Marquez after Marquez KO Pacman cold but Marquez decline a huge offer, so we can say that there's a lot of money there.

Money not always open all the doors and help to make decisions. Even though UAE have lots of rich people, there are still limits of how much they are ready to spend. Take Fury vs Usyk for example. How long does it took those two to finally sign a contract? All those negotiations. A think more than a year have passed. And whole this event was organized in 2-3 months only. I am sure they did not just threw billion-zillion-trillion into boxers to make this event to happen.

Regardless on how and how long they go with the negotiations, what's important is that the fight is already happening. UAE has been competiting with the biggest venue fo boxing in the US, so with this, it gives more opportunity for the boxers who have better record and are exciting to fight because their market are getting bigger.

Follow the trend and we shall see what's happening, IMO, this is just a start, more and more big fights will be held in this country in the future.
330  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you take time to read the terms and conditions of casinos before registering? on: December 25, 2023, 10:01:23 AM
The gamblers are mostly lazy persons to read the complete rules of the gambling site.

Not only lazy, but also impatient. I believe not many bother reading rules, when they want to gamble here and now. Here is what I am talking about. Perfect example of laziness and being impatient. Spending few minutes before registration would have solved all of that users problems. And like Ive said, people refer to ToS or manual only when something bad has already happened.

Most of the gamblers will never read ToS, because they are at the casino to gamble, not to read. And a lot of them think, that if they were let to register, then all they do is correct and dont violate any rule.
They may neglect to read the TOS, rules, etc...but soon they will realize the importance of doing it despite even spending time reading because, in the end, they are the ones who benefit from it.

I could say I didn't read everything written in the Terms and Conditions, but at least I read those terms that I see as the most important among others. In fact, most gambling sites have similar rules, so we don't need to read but what we have to do is to ask and verify some things. Well, what most important is that we are aware of what we are doing.
331  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does casino streamers have influence in your gambling life? on: December 24, 2023, 05:00:52 PM
I came across on YouTube where a gambling casino social influencer was streaming about a casinos platform.
He literally brought out his phone and was illustrating to the audiences that it is just few steps to take the winning on your games which is making choice of your predictions, choose amount to bet and also indicate his hashtag referral code and click on confirm.
Immediately you get credited directly to your account that just you won.
I just smiled but I want to ask, how many of you guys develops interests on a particular casino platform due to the influence of the casinos streamers?
The more we get attached to these influencers, the more possibility that they will influence our minds and fall into their words.
YES, that sometimes happens to me, and had fallen into their tricks believing that they were telling the truth because what they are doing in streaming is tempting and we can say it was really happening. But as I have tried, it never going that easy, and simply that is why I could say that some of these influencers are liars and frauds. Yeah, they got paid to promote things that only happen to them, not in real.
332  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is Too Expensive For Me. on: December 24, 2023, 04:27:52 PM
If you really wanted to invest in Bitcoin, you'd better start now because it is likely possible that in the next few years, it will be more expensive than today. You don't need to have a huge capital, $100 is enough to start. Perhaps, you can add more if you want like adding $100 weekly or monthly, depending on your capability. It depends on your way of investing, DCA is a common strategy, you can try it either.

But if you are in doubt and think I CAN'T, nothing will happen to you aside from losing the opportunity. The market will soon to bullish, can't afford to miss it, I hope to consider it and find a way to invest.

334  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: December 24, 2023, 11:12:36 AM

I think OKC really miss the service of another big man Josh Giddey, he was out due to injury, and that Lakers were able to take advantage on that.

Indeed, he was one of their best players that played consistently with them, so missing him against one of the best teams in the NBA is really huge.

Here's his status, https://www.foxsports.com/nba/josh-giddey-player

He exit during the game with LA Clippers due to twisted ankle, but there was no report of a fracture or whatsoever, so I'm expecting that it's just a sprained ankle, he might miss few games but he'll come back for sure. I'm sure OKC won't struggle hard even without him, they are not like the Memphis though, but against strong teams, they will miss the service of Giddy. Hope he'll get back soon.
335  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do people make money with this web3 on: December 24, 2023, 06:57:27 AM
I have come across a lot of people doing pretty good and making money online

I ask them to help me teach me but no one has really given me the time, they are always claiming to be very busy.
They told me guy all this money we have is from web3 and I don't really understand what this web3 is all about.

Please I need someone to help explain it in a simple way so I can understand
Don't blame them either but rather think that they are helping you to urge yourself into searching to find the answers to your question/s. And you must be thankful that nobody offers you some help because that might be a scammer.

Well, understanding how this project works is what you need. Asking for a simple way, that is actually easy to understand but the question is if we can make it right. Do the reading and searches first before investing - a piece of advice.

336  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can anyone be a Bitcoin speculation expert? on: December 23, 2023, 01:52:44 PM
Speculation is normal for everyone because we even speculate for ourself to what will
be the price of the coins we are holding and the assuming is there but that does not give is the
right ti lure others to trust our prediction and invest with us because we have different treatment
and capacity to risk, in there we are all different.
Speculation is literally just talking about the bitcoin price and nothing more. I understand some people may feel a little off about it but that's just how it works and nothing more.

If you say that ı think it will go up, then you are speculating, it requires that little to consider something speculation and so that means whenever we have any discussion about the price of bitcoin then we should consider that as speculation and nothing more.

I get that it is not going to be all that easy, but we need to make sure that we are going to get a lot better with time on that. I understand it may not be all that quick, and I understand that it may not take that much time, but as long as we make it work, we need to do something that should be careful.
Yeah that's it mate as we are all allow to speculate , what I am trying to say is that others
are putting their speculation here as if we are in need to believe and follow what he believes the movement
they even asking us to invest with them and that is the part that I am not agreeing . so I say that speculation
must be shared but  not to be pushed .
It was speculation but we are happy doing this because that seems to be the nature of the crypto market. At least, having some basis for our speculation could be somewhat close to reality. So no way we stop speculating unless the market has been centralized and the price is manipulated but since it has not, therefore, our way of communicating the market remains. In fact, we don't need to be perfect but what we need is we can understand the market sentiment and respond with optimism and positivity.
337  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: STOP! Before you become a prey of a scammer! on: December 23, 2023, 12:59:13 PM

Another one would be a pump and dump group showing you how much they make a profit everyday through paid signals
In the end it would be a project copying others or a new one trying to cash on the trend.

After having a bad experience and losing the hands of these pump-and-dump groups, I swear to myself not to trust them anymore and not to trust someone who talks amount of money saying huge huge ROI after a few days of investing. This is the usual trick of scammers and we can see a lot of them in social media, particularly in telegram groups. We must be careful of someone (strangers) who shoots a message claiming he is an expert and tried to help for free because, in the end, this person will ask for something in return.

We have to learn from the people who have experience with this, we don't need to experience it before realizing that we are wrong.
338  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Tapales for Unified Super Bantamweight Title - December 26 on: December 23, 2023, 11:30:21 AM
Lets see on how long that Tapales would be able to handle those solid body shots from Inoue. For sure he do make out some preparation on how he would really be avoiding that.
We do know that INoue is really have that power and speed on which it is really just that right that they should really be that careful into this one.

He can't handle it if he would allow himself to get hit by Inoue's solid shots. Tapales needs to assert his power to Inoue as well so Inoue will not just bully him in the fight. If Tapales will hit Inoue and Inoue felt the power of Tapales, that might make Inout not too aggressive and he'll just play the chess game.

With that, I believe Tapales would last in 12 rounds and there's a possibility that he can win the fight.

Giving Inoue high confidence early will only make the life of Tapales miserable in the duration of the fight, so he has to be careful, his movement should be well calculated.
339  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do casino owners benefit from creating multiple casinos? on: December 23, 2023, 10:39:17 AM
It seems illogical as it might increase operating expenses without an obvious benefit.
It is easier to call a business decision illogical when you do not understand how the business runs and you are simply judging from outside as an outsider without little understanding about the profit-making side of the business. Know that these casino owners will not engage in trying to create multiple casinos if they have not run their evaluation and then made considerations. It is also likely that maybe the other casinos that they open after opening the first one will run better and be more profitable because of the experience they've gained from managing the first one. Experience makes you better at something.

Anyone business operator could easily create multiple casinos as we are in the online world already. I mean, the operating expenses aren't that high compared to what benefits the casino may rip in the future, with plenty of casinos, making more than one casinos will be able to compete among the money. I'm sure, those company who have multiple casinos running have focus on the branding of their casinos, they may have diffeerent focus on markets but their goal is to be both successful.

And yes, you are right, they are in the business so they know better the market, and once they open multiple casinos, that means they sees more opportunities to make it profitable.
340  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The risk and reward of having Bitcoin on: December 23, 2023, 10:02:34 AM
Here's the thing: the risk isn't built into Bitcoin itself, it's all about how you approach it. Jumping in blind is a surefire way to get your pants ripped off, but with some smarts and a healthy dose of caution, it can be a rewarding adventure. Doing your research "DYOR" understanding the tech and the market, and only investing what you can afford to lose – those are the golden rules that separate the thrill-seekers from the face-planting fools.

And let's not forget the FUD squad, the fear-mongering vultures whispering doom and gloom in your ear. They're the naysayers, the manipulators trying to sow panic and drive prices down. Don't let them get to you, man. FUD is like background noise in any volatile market, just another voice in the crowd. Listen, analyze, but don't let it drown out your own research and gut instinct.
Well, I just hope that everyone has that kind of thinking but as we can see, very unfortunate that many of us remain emotional, and even though we have knowledge and market experience, most of the time we lose control of our emotions. That was the biggest problem that I've ever seen and this is really hard to change a reason why not all investors went well and succeeded, many suffered losses and quit.

FUDs, negative news, social media - these things change one's mindset. I would say that investing is not just all about knowledge and skills but also, management skills and self-control.
