Hello Pakistanis. Great to see you all here. After seeing the current situation of bitcoin or all cryptocurrencies in Pakistan, I think bitcointalk is a great platform where we all can educate our fellowmen and raise voice in the support of cryptocurrencies.
But unfortunately this Topic dedicated for Pakistan is so dormant not like other active boards like Hindi and Indonesian they got their own boards for topics.

We are very few here we should encourage our friends and colleague to get involved not only in Bitcointalk but overall crypto field and blockchian. Pakistan is so far behind in technologies we are full of talent but not many opportunities.

We had one exchange Urudbit but it's closed now. I'm sure many companies in Pakistan working in blockchain but mostly they will be supporting or helping foreign clients only.

Hope in future it becomes somehow better.

Well we can only hope that the upcoming government takes crypto positively and make crypto-friendly regulations like those of Austria, Australia and Japan. Right now, State Bank of Pakistan has done nothing but followed Reserve Bank of India notification and almost copied the same.

See how Indians are trying to convince Reserve Bank about this matter:

https://twitter.com/Blockchainlaw91/status/985851541679587338

Probably if RBI decides to un-ban crypto, SBP will do the same. Roll Eyes

Cloak's team is definitely still doing a superb job, even after all these years. I remember many top names from back in 2014, but almost all of them are now dead (Namecoin, Virtacoin, Vertcoin, Blackcoin, etc), only those projects that kept up their progress, evolved with time and continued to remain competitive are still present on the first or second page of coinmarketcap.com. Cloak is one of those.

The price more than doubled in last 7 days, now standing at $15 (a week back, it was less than $6).
3203  Other / Meta / Re: @Admins: Merit not working as configured, trolls just don't care (no surprise) on: April 18, 2018, 08:18:56 PM
I'm sorry Carlton that I've to speak like this, but paying for posting is something so damn hilarious to even think of. I didn't expect to see such an idea from someone so senior. Bitcointalk is the best and largest forums of crypto-currencies, we all are well aware of it. I've been a part of two big forums (blackhatworld & emoneyspace) before, and have seen them getting dead within a few months just because of their bad policies, I don't wanna see bitcointalk suffer the same fate as them. Bitcointalk is currently almost in the top 1000 websites of the world (according to Alexa ranking), and I think each and every policy should be thought of a hundred times before being implemented, along with community giving out their inputs. And never mind, but this suggestion of yours, if implemented, would be enough for an instant death of this forums IMO. Tongue

Merit might not have been something super-effective, but now we all have to admit that, to at least some extent, it has worked out pretty good. I think considering the following options can be good for bitcointalk:

-increasing number of moderators
-creating more awareness of "report" button

I consider this forums my second home, and I'm sure many others think the same way as well. I don't want to pay for just speaking up (and mostly, just for helping others) right in my home, and I don't want to see it die either (like a few deaths of forums I've seen in past).

When a legendary speaks like a coward...

When will the bitcoin prices increase again ? Because, the prices have been bad so far. I am losing my hope for future. What kind of stuff will happen this summer?
3205  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Running at 145 MH/s, Earns 0.33 ETH/month, is it worth? on: April 18, 2018, 06:21:24 PM
Okay guys that gives me more clarification now.

So first thing is I am currently getting wrong hashrate and I assure that is because I have not overclocked it. I just bought it and installed on my own. I am running that one with the ethOS operating system and ASUS motherboard.

I will checkout the links provided for the overlocking and will do that immediately. However I will need to study that first as im no expert in that one to be honest.

And another tip for me is switch to monero! Okay what is the requirement for this one? can it be still ran on the ethOS or I have change the whole OS as well. Just new and learning in the mining field, hope you will guys explain this one too.

Thanks for the guidance. Appreciate it!

I don't have any experience with ethOS, but I've seen people around who do mine Monero on it. However, if you want my personal suggestion, here's what I'll tell you to do:

-Install Windows (preferably 10)
-Install latest Claymore CryptoNote GPU miner
-Use its integrated overclocking options and mine Monero

This is probably what I'd do if I were you.
3206  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Running at 145 MH/s, Earns 0.33 ETH/month, is it worth? on: April 18, 2018, 06:01:11 PM
-It's definitely worth it until you've some cheap (or free in your case) electricity.

-Each of your Sapphire RX 570 should be generating at least 27 Mh/s. Have you tried using some of the integrated overclocking options of Claymore miner? Which miner are you using right now?

-Monero is right now like 20% more profitable to mine than Ethereum, you should move to it.

-If you want to keep Ethereum, you may first mine Monero and then trade it for Ethereum. That way you'll get like 20% more Ethereum than directly mining it.

This thread is meant to be about walls isn't it?

Come on guys stay on topic. Heres a wall I just observed on the internet

If that's a sell wall, I've a feeling it'd look like this after a few days:

3209  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Crypto trading tips based on years of experience --- by Raja on: April 17, 2018, 08:14:53 PM
Just added the following tips:

- In crypto, the good thing is, you can always make a good comeback by being wise, even if you're left with 10% money you initially invested.

- If you think no one's more unlucky than you, watch some Youtube videos of victims of Bitconnect.

- Wait for quality trades (good chances), don't just rush up to trade your bitcoin or dollars again after every successful profit. Decrease quantity of trades and increase quality of trades. Don't trade while you're exhausted (or too much happy on previous trade).

- If you think you missed the chance by not buying something, don't be blue, try to find some other opportunity. There're always some golden opportunities available in crypto.

- Trade in levels. Buying and selling, both, do it in levels. This reduces the risk greatly.

- Try to "bitcoin cost average", if you buy something at 0.02 BTC price, and it goes down to 0.015 BTC, then buy more of it at 0.015 BTC so that you can get into profit faster once it recovers.

More coming up soon.
3210  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Rx 580 hashrates up and down on: April 17, 2018, 08:06:37 PM
Are you using any of the Claymore miner's integrated under-volting and/or over-clocking options along with your driver settings? I faced that very same problem when I had under-volted too much using the Claymore's miner, while when I totally disabled those tweaks, it started to work smoothly.

If you don't mind, please post your miner's command lines as provided in "start" file. That'd help more in guessing the issue.

MI has taken RCB position in points table because most of the time RCB will be at the bottom.
Lol actually , in every IPL season MI doesn't start well but then they pick up the momentum and win the matches continuously and maybe this match against RCB is the turning point for them in this season.

MI has taken RCB position in points table because most of the time RCB will be at the bottom.

Mumbai Indians have lost all of their matches till now. Today they have a match against the Royal Challengers Bangalore. They need to do something with their bowling, which had been horrible so far. What about kicking out Mayank Markande and Akila Dananjaya from the final XI?
What are you even talking about? Mayank  has bowled wonderfully till now.

This season as well MI started badly by losing out 3 matches in a row and today's match most likely they will win it which would be their first win . So now I think MI will start winning considering their past history and come back strongly.

What're you talking about? The match ended a while back and MI already won it with a huge margin.

Virat Kohli didn't play good at all IMO, even though he made 92 runs with a strike rate of almost 150, but RCB wanted something better from him, considering the strike rate of Rohit Sharma which was 180+. There's a bit of difference in both the innings though, RCB's wickets were falling fast, as compared to MI's inning.

It looks like things will get ugly Bitcoin is currently on its 2 hoursly chart it is forming a Head and Shoulders

Zoom out & relax. I'm liking the 3D chart atm:

I'm no chart specialist but isn't this almost a double-bottom?

Bad days for Electroneum. Seems like I made a mistake by buying a heck of it just a few days back, without thinking about the outcome of ASIC miners.

Right now, everything seems messed up with Electroneum. Recently, my withdrawal from Kucoin to Electroneum mobile wallet went through without any confirmation for more than 24 hours and then just disappeared. I've not received any reply to my ticket from Kucoin yet, and it has been more than a few days already. On the other hand, ETN's value getting crushed due to crazy mining (and then dumping) of ASICs. 3215  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [SELFKEY] ID Wallet for Citizenship, Incorporation, Fintech, Banking, Exchanges on: April 17, 2018, 05:48:24 PM
There is a lot projects on the market which provide similar service as selfkey, but somehow I have a feeling that selfkey is going to be one of the best, especially because they are a part of Neo ecosystem.

No, SelfKey isn't part of the Neo ecosystem. You're probably confused between two similar projects, and probably between TheKey (TKY) and SelfKey (KEY). TheKey is the project which is a part of Neo ecosystem, while SelfKey is Ethereum-based.

Thoughts on Bitcoin Black?
End to manipulation?

More free BTC from another forkcoin?

Probably. For me, bitcoin forks have been like:

Bitcoin Cash = Gaming rig
Bitcoin Gold = Woofer system
Bitcoin Private = Dragon Ball Super DVD

Now, lemme guess:

Bitcoin Black = Popcorns

Dinesh Karthik would have felt nervous in the match against Delhi Daredevils, with some people calling into question his leadership skills. He must be relieved after Andre Russell came good in the match, striking 41 of just 12 balls taking KKR to a score of 200. That eventually proved out of reach of Delhi Daredevils.

In the end, Kolkata Knight Riders beat Delhi Daredevils by 71 runs. This victory isn't just a loss of a match for Delhi Daredevils, but also a loss of run rate in the points table. They're now standing at second position from the bottom, with just 1 single win out of 3 played, and better than Mumbai only.

Next one, MI vs. RCB, seems like another good match is gonna be played tomorrow. MI should really wake up now from their slumber. Tongue

It is never to late, this price is stil low for this promising coin.

i was quite convinced by the project...just really wondering about the low activity here in this thread^^ well i guess chinese use differnt plattforms..

Exactly. I'm at the Telegram of ITC (the English one) and at their Chinese chats as well (WeChat and BeeChat to be more precise), even though I don't understand Chinese language, but there's a lot of difference in activity of Chinese chats and of English chat.

Last week's updates have been provided by ITC team at Medium:

Just entered 5 more tips. More coming as soon as I think of (or get through) them.

I think most of the clauses are correct.

If you (or anyone else) thinks that some of the tips aren't correct/good, please feel free to argue. If I find your argument good enough, I'll remove it.

Most of you are probably gonna learn the hard way, like I did, by making a lot of mistakes, but maybe keeping in mind a few tips can help you reduce the learning time of stupid mistakes:

1. Your goal is to earn BTC, not the tether/fiat. Trade BTC/Alt pairs, not USDT pairs.

2. Do not buy something that has been multiplied by 2 or 3 recently.

3. Paid trading tips, pump n' dump groups, Twitter, or other sorts of paid groups are most probably not going to give you the right suggestions, in fact, their main goal is to squeeze some money out from you! Use Twitter and other such platforms only for remaining updated and for educational purposes, not for decision-making.

4. Keep a good percentage of your trading stash in bitcoin, there're a lot of times when bitcoin makes a crazy move and alts get a heck of damage.

5. Never fall in love with any one coin only, otherwise, this love will damage you in the end as much as real-life love.

6. A time comes when you feel like all other alts are getting pumped up except for yours, in that case, just hodl. It'd be too late to jump onto some other alt.

7. If you're buying something that's about to get hard-forked leaving two coins (out of one) in hope of a pump, don't forget to dump it like 2-3 days earlier. It's a trend now, a pre-fork dump.

8. If something is obvious, it's obviously wrong. -Joe Granville

9. Good things come to those who wait. -Al-Quran

10. Never FOMO/panic. Never think "if I hadn't sold it, I'd have been sitting on a million". Never cry over the past, only learn from it and don't repeat the same mistake.

11. In crypto, the good thing is, you can always make a good comeback by being wise, even if you're left with 10% money you initially invested.

12. If you think no one's more unlucky than you, then watch some Youtube videos of victims of Bitconnect.

13. Wait for quality trades (good chances), don't just rush up to trade your bitcoin or dollars again after every successful profit. Decrease quantity of trades and increase the quality of trades. Don't trade while you're exhausted (or too much happy on previous trade).

14. If you think you missed the chance by not buying something, don't be blue, try to find some other opportunity. There're always some golden opportunities available in crypto.

15. Trade in levels. Buying and selling, both, do it in levels. This reduces the risk greatly.

16. Try to "bitcoin cost average", if you buy something at 0.02 BTC price, and it goes down to 0.015 BTC, then buy more of it at 0.015 BTC so that you can get into profit faster once it recovers.

17. Make one fully-researched decision without FOMO'ing out, and once you make it, stick to it. Finding absolute bottom to buy in at or absolute top to sell on at is pretty much impossible.

18. Very good and interesting analysis by @cy_stats on Twitter of altseason: https://pbs.twimg.com/media/DZstNL-XkAAKFZN.jpg

19. Always keep in mind the following pattern of BTC & Alts, as seen in past years:

*1) If bitcoin goes up heavily, all alts suffer.
*2) If bitcoin goes down heavily, all alts suffer.
*3) If bitcoin goes up slowly, only low volume alts suffer.
*4) If bitcoin goes down slowly, only volume alts suffer.
*5) If bitcoin stays sideways, every kind of alt grows.
*6) If bitcoin stays sideways for a few weeks (4+), all alts grow and low-volume alts go "absolutely" crazy.

20. Do not use leverage unless you're really experienced.

21. I personally do not include the coins I've in exchanges in my portfolio. Remember, as long as you've your coins in the exchanges, they do not belong to you. They belong to the exchange and you should always remain ready for a hack/loss of those funds. If you're not trading something, it's way better to take it off the exchanges.

22. If you're planning to have a big position in one of the coins, make sure to thoroughly investigate what's going behind the scenes (by joining its Discord or Telegram), else, you might find something suspicious later on which will be very annoying (and might result in a good loss).

23. Book your profits, don't be the one just "hodling" around. Hodling, in my opinion, works out when you're planning to buy something and then leaving it for a few years. If you're trading, it's not an option for you. Don't just sit back and look at your coins getting pumped up, remember, until and unless you take some profit off of them, that pump is actually useless for you.

24. Buying an altcoin that just entered a high-volume trading platform is simply a big gamble. If you're really planning to buy something which you think has dumped enough after a huge pump AND after getting listed at a high-volume trading platform, you better be ready for something awful. It's a pure gamble, by the next day, it can either get a huge dump or an awesome pump. I'd rather play a roll on FortuneJack instead of going for a trade like this ever again.

25. Before you buy something new, don't forget to have a look at its total supply & circulating supply. Moreover, make sure that there's not going to be an extreme addition soon into its circulating supply; like unlocking of founders reward or private investor coins can devalue your coin/token too much.

26. FOMO buying while the trend is overall downwards is stupidity. Place a buy order at around 3-6% less than the current price, there's a huge probability that it'll get filled.

27. Keep your portfolio as much diversified as you can. Don't just go "all in" in anything!

28. Want some charting skills? Don't forget to read this free guide: The Complete Beginners Guide to Crypto Currency Trading by @BigCheds

29. Never blindly follow anyone. Even if you join any paid trading group, make sure that you DYOR before jumping into any trade.

30. If you're trading alts having 1-digit or 2-digit pairs, have a look at this tip: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3326310.msg51257383#msg51257383
