What else can Miners like ASICS do beside mining Cryptocurrencies? Can they be combined globally to serve as Super Computers, used for other complex calculations, for stimulations, as extra computer processors etc.
Why aren't Miners using them for some of these purposes instead of dumping them after Mining Crypto.
Guess ASICS would become cheap if they can be used for other purposes?
Have heared from some people that ASIC can be used for complex calculations but as far as I know it's aimed for only one operation and that's mining. If they would be combined globally to create super computer, then imagine Bitfury and Bitmain, they would do many crazy things, imagine how fast you would crack any password and etc. Yes, for other purposes they may become cheap, it all depends how valuable that "purpose" is. GPUs were cheap, yeah? But when it could profit some people a lot in mining, they become very valuable, so can say the same about asics. And as it was already mentioned, heat is it's best side too. If you live in cold countries or anywhere in winter, you can have good heat system which can save your budget and even give profit. The core part of ASIC miner consists of only a chip, and it's *almost* useless if you don't use it for the purpose it's created. If you're only thinking of heating with ASICs without any mining, then it'll be super inefficient and cost you a lot of electricity. ASIC = 1 application, if you don't want it to use it for that particular application, you better throw it away. Maybe we can open an ASIC museum for old mining ASICs? |

My withdraw also processing. its already 4 days. They say its because i put wrong payment id. And they will recredit the fund. Just wanna ask did u guys already succeed with your withdraw?
Important question; did you really use a wrong 'payment id' or wallet address? If so, then it's your fault entirely and you have to wait for them to solve it for you. Cryptopia is flooded with requests all seeking support related to withdrawals and deposits, and depending on the value of your withdrawal, they will keep you waiting for a very long time. You can imagine that with so much shit they have going on they won't put much effort in trying to solve something only concerning $50-$100 worth of coins. Its wrong payment id. But the wallet address is correct. I got reply on first day i create ticket that i put wrong payment id and the fund will be recredit to my account. Then i ask them how long i have to wait. They answer we dont know, but we will do as soon as possible. This is the 5th day and the status is still processing. Its amount 3500 dollars. I've been trading with Cryptopia for years, and I must admit now that they're not scammers. They've a lot of bugs/errors and sometimes their "processing" can take more than a month, but still, they're honest. I've not seen a single person losing any of his funds due to their bugs/issues/server-overloads; it can sometimes get very frustrating for you, but at the end, Cryptopia's crappy support does succeed in solving whatever issue you have. |

Look at the abbreviation of ASIC carefully:
ASIC = application-specific integrated circuit
Application-specific means it's made only to perform one specific task (to run one specific application). So no, you can't do anything else with your mining ASICs if they're purposefully built for mining a specific algorithm only.

In recent times we watch England is completely different team they lost first match with very big margin but they come back very strongly and win last two ODI's as big margin which is really great and positive fight back from them K Yadav was good in only first match and create too many problems but in next two matches they play him very wisely I believe now England is in good shape and they are able to win next world cup which is going to play in England as well

BTW, during commentary, Saurav Ganguly predicted that final of world-cup will be played between the same teams (India and England) next year at the same ground. However, Nasser Hussain then replied that he's seeing Pakistan in the finals. Pakistan is a good team but most of the time when ever they are playing important game they just throw the match and lose it. So we cannot believe on Pakistan in final but in sports anything can happen. India are still struggling for the middle order batsman form which if not solved then India even entering semi final is also doubt. I am going with @Raja_MBZ because right now these teams only capable to do this Pakistan is every time very unpredictable team as we watch in Champions Trophy India struggle in this series but still team to watch and New Zealand is complete package good luck to all Upcoming Asia cup will bring a few matches between India & Pakistan, and they should be interesting. It'd be real test of both the teams, and we'll see which one is prepared more for the World Cup. Series between Pakistan and Zimbabwe is way too boring these days. India is struggling today in 3rd and final match as England won the toss and decided to field. India are 222/7 in 46 overs. So mostly will be reaching 250 max. Only if Indian spinners can take quick wickets they could win this series. Else it will be easy win for England. Kohli made 71 runs for India.
I am feeling today Indian batsmen was nerves which bring them down and Kohli wicket was key for English bowlers as they done great job against quality batting line up now if K Yadav and Chahal can do magic then Indians can win this match otherwise England is on course for victory and grab the series First match England got struggle against wrist spinner but now they have used same tactics against India and levelled the series and today also they restricted India from high score and the start was also good and they have overcome the wrist spin and I think that they will win the Match and the series Yes it's a good come back and we have to appreciate England bowlers because India batting lineup was very strong up to Pandya means 7 batsman everybody in good form but still, England bowlers managed to restrict them just 256 runs. Now they are heading to win this match and series England need 92 runs and India need 8 wickets i think England have full chance to win this match. England is playing against India superbly in current match. They're probably gonna win this series, and it's just awesome how they've made a come back after losing the first match by a big margin. EDIT: England won the series by 2-1.  We could've never thought that they'll win the series of three matches after they lost so badly in the first match. Well done English team! |
