2801  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Nano price predictions on: July 26, 2018, 11:27:59 PM
Nano still bearish; however, I'm expecting a trend reversal very soon:

As soon as it breaks out through that black resistance, it'll probably record one of the best jumps ever.

West Indies defeated Bangladesh by just 3 runs at the very end of the match when the victory of Bengalis was looking obvious. Awesome finishing by West Indies bowlers, they restricted the boundaries and didn't let middle order batsmen of Bangladesh hit fours and sixes.

Governments want to kill bitcoin simply because they're unable to compete with its deflationary nature.

2805  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ETC] Ethereum Classic: Immutable Smart Contracts on: July 26, 2018, 06:08:01 PM
im looking at buying a graphics card to mine ETC what is the better laptop and graphics card to mine ? whats the best graphics card to mine with ?

Mining with laptops (even with gaming/dedicated GPU laptops) is not profitable. The graphics cards installed in laptops are not powerful enough for mining and if you're going to try out mining with your laptops, you'll end up burning your laptop.

I'd suggest buying the GPUs like RX 580 or GeForce GTX 1070 for mining.

Today in second ODI West Indies with the help of Hetmyer late charge and good inning done 271 in 50 overs but now Bangla tigers doing much better just 11 overs and 80/1 look like they are going to take 2 - 0 lead in this series Shakib and Tamim playing really good 50 runs partnership just in 9 overs giving them edge for win

Now the partnership is of 72 runs, and they're still looking very comfortable. As of now, it's looking like they're going to have an easy win yet again.
2809  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: First ever 6 gpu rig , what to mine? on: July 25, 2018, 11:48:58 PM
Benefits of mining random coins : much more likely chance of exponential gains most likely , higher profit , more chance of luck

Mining random coins can lead to "exponential losses" as well. You might want to edit that in your post.

Mining and holding Ethereum is the safest bet, it probably will beat its ATH (specially in fiat terms) and at that time you may sell it all. IMO, if you're planning to mine & hold, then go for both, Ethereum and other alts. Swap between the alts (including Ethereum) actively after every few days.

Great! This is what type of TIPS I am looking for. All tips that are written here are  all significant , must remember and shall be carried at all times. Since i am just a beginner and not that well experienced as you, you have a great journey in crypto that it summarizes all your experiences into these tips. You were right, invest 40% in bitcoin because the market gives a crazy moves. I remembered that i lost a hugr amouny bec. Of insuffecient knowledge back then about the market movements.

I'm glad to hear that! Smiley

Dump incoming.

SEC delays decision until 21st September, 2018:

While the crypto community largely seems excited at the prospect of a bitcoin ETF, Atlantis Asset Management chief investment strategist Michael Cohn said any approval would be "insane," CNBC reports today.

"Then they're putting a rubber stamp on it as an asset, and I don't think governments want to go there yet. It just seems as though it's not something I'd want to put my clients into in any way, shape or form. You can only be embarrassed," he added.

Just a technicality: That's not the ETF that has made news recently and that everybody seems to be expecting. It is actually said in the article you linked:

Quote
Notably, none of the ETF proposals being postponed are from VanEck and SolidX, which are currently under discussion by the wider crypto community. More than 100 comments have been submitted for that proposal, and a decision may occur as soon as next month.

Wew!

Yup, seems like I rushed in posting that. Just wanted to be the first one to post here about that. Roll Eyes Sorry about that!

Thnx, good tips. I do a couple of things in a different way thou. I do not have 40%+ of BTC sometimes (sitting in alts mostly). About twitter. It can be really helpful in a lot of ways, there are some good traders who share their wisdom for free.

Nice to see you went through the tips. Smiley

IMO, having some bitcoin along with altcoins is a must. Look at the CoinMarketCap; bitcoin dominance has increased by 5% in the last few days and alts have taken a lot of damage in the mean time. Remaining all the time 100% in alts is not a good idea. Wink

In crypto-currencies, bitcoin works like a "reserve" currency. Bitcoin's "reserve" status means it definitely deserves a nice place in your portfolio.

26. FOMO buying while the trend is overall downwards is stupidity. Place a buy order at around 3-6% less than the current price, there's a huge probability that it'll get filled.

Can someone give text bat-file for eth+keccak? I write these: EthDcrMiner64.exe -epool eu1.ethermine.org:4444 -ewal wallet -epsw x -dpool stratum+tcp://us.bsod.pw:2330 -dwal wallet -dpsw x and all ok nsidde miner window, but at the BSOD pool i din't see my hashrate

You forgot to add -dcoin keccak at the end.

It should look like this:

EthDcrMiner64.exe -epool eu1.ethermine.org:4444 -ewal wallet -epsw x -dpool stratum+tcp://us.bsod.pw:2330 -dwal wallet -dpsw x -dcoin keccak

quick question is it even worth dual mining?
extra heat and elec and fees? it it making you more profit?

I'm mining ETH + XDNA (Keccak) these days and yes, it seems worth it; almost same electricity consumption, same temperatures but a little bit less Ethash. It almost feels like I'm getting something extra for free.

ok cool, what cards u running and how many in a rig? how much XDNA does it make a month?

6x RX 480 8 GB in a rig; and they're getting me around 2.5 XDNA daily (around 75 XDNA a month).

Plus I do use Claymore's integrated undervolting for less electricity comsumption.

I faced that very same issue recently with one of my RX 480 8 GB, and at last I found that the issue is unsolvable and GPU got damaged by heat & mining load. I'm afraid your RX 570 got damaged as well; however, don't forget to try a clean re-install of everything before you give up on the issue.

BTW, which miner are you using?
