tomorrow we have interesting ODI match between ENG vs AUS the ENG is already leaded 2-0 in 5 ODI let's hope the AUS will going to back winning track or going to lose the ODI series, I hope AUS going to win the 3rd ODI match come on AUS.
England is pretty much difficult team to beat especially in their own backyard, so much of transformation taken place in England limited over team that is already proven in the first and second odi, now Australia will have to play really well to win against England in the remaining matches of the series.

England just made a record of highest score in an ODI. They've successfully beaten their own record (against Pakistan) and scored 481 runs, which is simply awesome for a 50-over inning. Alex Hales and Johnny Bairstow played probably the best inning of their careers.

Australia yet once again in trouble. Bad days for them.
Unbelievable performance from England team. we all know England team is in incredible form in recent days but not expected highest score 481 runs that too against X champions Australia. really fantastic innings from Roy, Bairstow, Hales and captain Morgan. I don't think AUS can make at least 300 runs in this match.

England beat Australia by 242 runs. Awfully played by Australian team, they looked like amateurs in all aspects of the match (bowling, batting and fielding), the openers and the whole middle-order (including captain) performed poorly. Australian media is now putting the team into too much pressure and that could further worsen their performance. In ODI rankings, Australia has now climbed down to 6th position; good for Pakistan, they're now on 5th position.

This could be the next big thing. Still have to wait until December but it will definitely gain more attention. Targeting smart technologies and renewable sources is the way to go. Efficient mining makes everyone happier

I think you are talking about manner launch in December? Yes, that will be very big steps for ITC, and everyone is waiting for this launch.
I am more excited about October as they are going to release the public test network according to their roadmap and will it only last a month?
This is included in roadmap? I mean this is a part of roadmap? I didn't see that or I think I missed something here? I just checked that but I didn't find that at anywhere.

I have not seen this public test network related information on roadmap but I saw some tweets that testnet launch is in October

Pretty sure it’s been talked about but not in the visual roadmap they should add it if it isn’t but given the timing for the mainnet I’d assume easily that the testnet schedule would be as were expecting already

I'm not sure which roadmap you all are looking at, because the release of testnet is already present on official roadmap as provided at IoTChain official website:

It's scheduled to be released in upcoming October.

England have done well to bounce back after their defeat to Scotland. They have defeated Australia in the second ODI to take a 2-0 lead in the series. Once England scored 342, Australia were almost out of the reckoning. Australia crossed 300 runs, but couldn't overhaul England's score.

Australia has started to bat well but the middle order batsman didn't perform well so they couldn't win the match. In the middle order batsman couldn't maintain the run rate so at the end batsman was under pressure to score more runs and lost the wickets. But for England team it was good moral boast after losing the match against not so strong team in the world. Overall England performed best in the match compared to Autralia.

Its funny that in the last match it was the Australian top order that failed to score runs and the middle order was the ones that scored and now in this last match it was the opposite. Australia really need to turn things around or else they will lose 5-0 with the current way they are playing. At least the matches have been entertaining with many runs scored.

The third ODI between Australia and England will be played tomorrow in Nottingham, I hope Australia manages to win at least this one.

Australians are losing literally everywhere these days, think of this fan:

Ok, it is clear you are trying to help but please let this one go.

That source you posted is obviously outdated and clearly rookie targeted.

Mining is not the typical usage senario for desktop PC so please skip any article, guide whatever that is not specifically made for Cryptomining.

Anything below 20GB virtual memory will propably crash the miner. Even the OP states that VM should be 16GB or more.

I recommend he sets it to 25GB and try again.

Actually, when I decreased my RAM from 8 GB to 3 GB, I was facing some sort of application crash during mining (somewhat similar to @damba_'s), but decreasing the virtual RAM to 15000 MB worked out for me that time (it was way over this number before I decreased it). It's still running good at 15000 MB (just re-checked this number) with 3 GB RAM.

From what I can conclude, if you've over 4 GB RAM, you can set insanely huge values of virtual RAM like 40 GB or 50 GB (probably as big as your available secondary memory size), but if you've around 2-3 GB RAM, you've to set it lower and can't be that crazy.

Can this miner run on 2GB of system memory?
I had 3 gb ddr2, but one ram stick stopped working so I'm left with only 2 gb of system memory.
I tried to start miner and I get message: ethdcrminer64.exe has stopped working
I didn't have any problems so far with 3 gb of RAM.

Miner should run just fine on 2 GB of RAM. "Virtual memory" could be the issue here. It should be no less than 1.5x and no more than 3x the amount of system memory (RAM).

Just what the heck are you talking about? Virtual memory (pagefile) can be anything you want, there are no min or max, in fact the more cards you have the more Virtual ram you need, I have plenty or rigs running 50GB pagefiles.

You are confusing what Windows automatically sets with your 1.5x...

Please don't spread misinformation.

I remember I fixed that very same issue after I removed some RAM from my miner by decreasing the virtual memory. With 2 GB RAM, there should be a maximum of 6 GB virtual memory set according to Microsoft. In my opinion, up-to 8 GB virtual RAM should be fine as well for 2 GB RAM systems.

I'm pretty sure you've 4-8 GB RAM installed in your systems where you've set that much virtual memory.

EDIT: Here's what I'm talking about: https://www.ultraedit.com/support/tutorials-power-tips/ultracompare/increase-virtual-memory.html ... Read the last paragraph.

i found some used HP PCs that have intel CPUs in them and some good HDD and SDD (i need that for my gaming PC). one of them is HP 8000 elite with a C2D E7500, 4GB DDR3 ram, some HDD and SSD and a useless PSU. What i'm worried is it's motherboard which is obviously very old and i'm not sure if it can run newer cards (like rx470 or gtx 1060) i think it's a Q45 mobo.

for now i just want to mine with one GPU (most likely a gtx 1060 6gb as Zcash seems very profitable right now)

and i don't care about the PSU and and the case, i'll get a new PSU and build my own case.

With just one GPU, you look good to go. However, you'll have to make sure that your power supply does have at least one 8-pin power connector for that one GPU.

The bounced back well, special thanks to awesome performances of Jason Roy (120 runs on 108 balls) and the captain Jos Buttler (91 runs on 70 balls). From Australian side, only Shaun Marsh put up a good fight. Players like Finch, Stoinis and both the openers played a disappointing inning.

Can someone please give me some info on the upcoming hardfork and forward a link? I can't seem to find much on it

Ethereum Classic is not going to have another hard-fork. Recently, Callisto (CLO) was airdropped (not hardforked) at 5,500,000 block of the Ethereum Classic, you must be confused with that one.

The AMD blockchain driver was a patch released to fix the Ethash Dag file growth issue that caused Polaris cards to lose hash rate with every new epoch once the Dag file reached over 2GB. Starting with the Crimson Relive compute drivers that were released for Windows 10 v1703, AMD incorporated the fix from the blockchain driver in to the mainstream release drivers when the cards are set to compute mode.

The correct driver to use for mining Ethash on Windows 10 v1703 Fall Creator update and newer versions is the latest AMD Adrenaline driver and set the cards to compute mode.

https://support.amd.com/en-us/kb-articles/Pages/DH-024.aspx

Claymore updated his miner to be compatible with the new AMD drivers a long time ago. Some older miners that haven't been updated, like SGminer won't run with the new AMD drivers.

The latest AMD Adrenaline drivers are compatible with Windows v1803. The problem related to Windows v1803 is Windows feature updates tend to break compatibility and many programs, haven't been updated, so there are many mining related issues. That's why it's a good idea to defer feature updates until programs have been updated to be compatible with the update.

Well... I've updated to AMD Adrenalin Edition 18.6.1 Optional which was released 3 days ago from AMD (of course after sweeping previous driver for a clean install).  I've changed all settings to compute and.... still have the same issue.  Sigh... I believe I will be going with warrior's advice below if no one has any other suggestions.

I had such a problem. Periodically, this operating system performs an automatic update. After that, you can have any problems. I had a similar drop in Claymore Miner. After reinstalling windows everything will be restored. It will be faster than searching what exactly does not work for you.

It's unfortunate that a clean install of windows is the only way to fix windows updates  Sad …. I will give the thread about a hour or so for any additional suggestions before re-installing Windows.

Thanks everyone!

Go with the "Reset this PC" located at Recovery tab of Settings. This is the fastest way of fixing new Windows updates.

West Indies vs Sri Lanka 2nd test, SL batting lost 3 wickets for 90 runs. any guess on this test match?

Sri Lanka lost all the wickets on 253 runs and now it's end of the day. Seems like they'll have to show extra-ordinary performance in bowling now as 253 runs in the first innings ain't going to be enough. Only the captain of Sri Lanka (Dinesh Chandimal) played a good inning and remained not-out while all others failed yet once again.

I'm very disheartened today. Lost a major chunk of my bitcoin holdings (almost 0.38 BTC) on Bitmex even though I've been longing since $8000 with just 4x leverage (adding more & more after every dump to average it further down), but still at $6140, I got liquidated. With this, I can pretty much assure that $6140 was actually the bottom. It was only to liquidate me, hard luck. Don't comment that I need to risk only what I can afford to lose, I know that very well, just had some real bad luck (as well as confusion) this time.

For reasons like this, I continue to conclude (personally) that leveraging is not necessary, especially in bitcoin.  In bitcoin we are lucky to experience outrageously stupendous returns, and I we do not need to leverage in order to achieve such outrageously stupendous returns on our investment.

Leveraging is a power tool that shouldn't be used lightheartedly. An understanding of the underlying arithmetic helps. On Bitmex in particular, shorts that are leveraged under 1 can't be liquidated at any price and only become a loss if/when the position is closed.

Quote
Accordingly, if you just invest regularly, then the most that you can lose is 100% of what you put in - but if you employ leverage (especially using the margin trade vehicles supplied by exchanges), you not only can lose your 100% more quickly, you also lose it way faster, which causes a kind of magnification that if you employ 4x leverage than you can lose 400% - something like that.

Well, kind of, yes. For example, if you make 4 repeated trades that burn each of their 100% approximately 4x times faster. Other side of the coin: for example, if you are using a leveraged position as a hedge, so you can hedge 4x times as much for the same "cost" (margin), admittedly on a smaller range. Not necessarily 4x smaller, though. The arithmetic details can get tricky.

*sounds like a Bitmex'er*
2959  Economy / Gambling discussion / Gambling vs. "leveraged" trading on: June 14, 2018, 11:53:18 PM
Recently I tried leveraged trading for the first time at Bitmex, and ended up in a loss. It seemed similar to a gamble, where you deposit, place a bet and either win (and double) or lose everything. In leveraged trading, if you deposit & place an order and it reaches your liquidation level, you lose everything.

Gambling can't be compared to regular trading, as in regular trading, you don't win much and don't lose much either. However, if you're trading with leverage, then that trading can be considered something similar to a gamble.

Yesterday it was a disappointing display from Scotland against Pakistan. The TV coverage was not available and so I had to watch the match through online streaming. They started quite well, but in the end they couldn't handle the spin of Shadab Khan.
I think it was telecasted in ten sports but not sure. As we expected Pakistan won this match by 48 runs. 1st they made a big target 205 runs and later they bowled well and won this match.

Ten Sports have the broadcasting rights for the matches being played in Scotland, but they decided not to telecast the match in India and Pakistan. The match was only available in PTV Sports and this channel is not available in India. The online streaming channels were also not working properly.
PTV sports it's Pakistan local sports channel so it's not available in India. anyway the matches were not interested both matches went one side.

Youtube live streaming works out good when you're unable to find out the match being played on TV channels. Recently, the match between World Eleven and West Indies wasn't being broadcasted to any channel, and on Youtube, it was streaming smoothly.
