2721  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is this the end of Bitcoin ? on: August 19, 2018, 11:08:01 PM
Bitcoin has died approximately 308 times (and counting) already.

The most recent death of bitcoin:

"Bitcoin is useless as a payment mechanism and ridiculous as a store of value. It will continue to fall, because there’s just no value there," former PayPal CEO Bill Harris told CNBC on Tuesday, August 14.

Just makes me wonder how much they were signing up daily during the 2017 bull run.

December 10, 2017:

Bitcoin wallet provider Blockchain had half a million new sign-ups in a week

Now that is a better batting performance by India mainly thanks to Kohli and Rahane. Kohli was unlucky to fall 3 runs short of other century and Rahane looked good and was set to make a century as well. If India can get another 80+ runs I think that is a good total for them to bowl at and put England under some pressure in this series. Tomorrow will be an interesting day to see if England can get the remaining 4 wickets quickly or India pile on another 80+ runs.

A very good bounce-back by Indian batsmen but they'll have to continue playing with the current momentum tomorrow as well to cross the 375 to 400 runs aim (which I think would be good). The pitch seems to be favoring batsmen, and underestimating the batting line-up of England here would be a mistake. If India fails to cross 350 runs tomorrow, they'll be in trouble.

It seems like English team made a mistake by going for the bowling after winning the toss; the English captain probably thought that India is under-pressure and batting would be difficult for them, but a nice little opening partnership by Indian cricket team literally changed up English team's anticipated scenario.

Whoooo....why such sudden increase in price today?  Shocked Am I missing something?  Huh

It only happened at Cryptopia, and price remained the same at Binance/Bittrex. At Cryptopia, for a few minutes, the value of CLOAK was touching 0.0005 BTC (200% of actual price).

Seems like some pump n' dump group promoted it at Cryptopia. Roll Eyes

Because I think it is interesting project and dev can contact them to be part of it.

Interesting, I'll share that with Duke (Hush core developer) at Discord. Let's hope they can become a part of it.

India has lost the one-day series which has just completed.

Actually, it's been a month since the completion of ODI series between India & England. One test match has already been played as well since then, which Indian cricket team lost badly. Next one will begin in two days.

Bitcointalk user who has been put on ignore list the most = mymenace. Roll Eyes

I doubt it'll have any impact on value of bitcoin. As far as I know, they're gonna be like bitcoin "bonds" and not the real thing.

Hello. I am trying to set up a miner as a work project. The main goal isnt to make money, its just to say that I know how to set up a miner. The work computer has a radeon rx 560 2gb card. I was wondering if the program would let me run the miner with this card. Thanks.

Hello! Yes, it should work. Give it a try.
2739  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v11.9 (Windows/Linux) on: August 15, 2018, 01:09:20 PM
Among all the dual mining candidates alongside ETH, is there anything that continues to be profitable and is ASIC resistant ?

I was under the impression that the vast majority of people are using Claymore to single mine ETH now...

I switched to solo mining as well. Nothing's worth it to dual-mine. Previously, I was dual-mining Ethash + Keccak (XDNA) but recently XDNA changed its algorithm to (custom-made) "HEX", which can't be dual-mined.

I'm going to stick to solo-mining for now; IMO, you should do the same.
