OMG! Check out the Bitcoin Cash's quarterly futures at BitMEX.

1 BCH = 0.031 BTC right now, at least something to cheer on!

Change in the Foundation Council of the Cardano Foundation

https://cardanofoundation.org/en/news/cardano-foundation-statement-13th-november-2018/

Michael Parsons resigns - Pascal Schmid takes over as Chairman

Zug, November 13, 2018 - The Cardano Foundation today announced that Michael Parsons, Chairman of the Foundation Council of the Cardano Foundation, has resigned with immediate effect. Pascal Schmid, Council Member, will take over as Chairman of the Foundation Council on an interim basis. The Foundation is working to supplement the Foundation Council with suitable persons as soon as possible. Swiss national Pascal Schmid graduated from the University of St. Gallen in 2004 with an M.A.HSG in Finance, Accounting and Controlling. He acquired many years of well-founded professional experience as a finance and foundation expert.

This is a bullish o bearish news? I know there were some issues with IOHK, but this is the right patch to a renew of Cardano's foundation?

This is a very positive news. Cardano Foundation was sort-of hijacked by Mr. Michael Parsons, but thanks to the efforts of the Cardano community (including "Cardano Guardians"), it's now free from Mr. Parsons and can contribute towards the development of the platform once again.

UPDATE: IOHK might be working on a new roadmap for Ethereum Classic.

Anthony finally answered me on ETC's official Telegram regarding IOHKxETC:

"Sharding by 2020"... Seriously, sharding is taking way too much time. Ethereum will be left behind in the dust if other smart-contract platforms like Cardano successfully develop a 100% complete infrastructure for smart-contracts along with the side-chains before Ethereum's sharding is developed completely.

Firstly you do not even have up to ten activities yet and you want to start advertising for ico how sure are you that they are not scam why not understand the forum and build yourself before you venture into all this.

What? Do you really believe that reaching ten activity points will make the ICO look legitimate if it's a scam?

There's always the possibility of buying the copper membership if OP wants to get an access to some extra features of the forum.

If you really want to advertise your ICO on bitcointalk, I'd suggest that you get the signatures/avatar designed for your ICO and place a "signature campaign" in one of the following sections:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=238.0 (place it here if you're going to pay through altcoins)

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=52.0 (place it here if you're willing to pay through bitcoin)

If you believe in Charles Hoskinson (which I think he's the Gates/Jobs of Blockchain) he helped ETC rewrite 16,000 lines of code from scratch so itll work seamlessly w. Cardano, they recently set up shop in San Fran, Cali, and got Utrust on board, and Utrust has a partnership w. Pundi X Smiley

IOHK (Charles' team) is just wotking on Mantis client, I really don't think that they are working on other ETC's projects (like Emerald, sidechains, Geth classic and so on)

Check it out:

Interestingly, the IOHK's roadmap for Ethereum Classic is coming to an end.

It'd be interesting to see whether they really release a new roadmap for ETC next year or decide to keep all their focus only on Cardano from now on.

Like I said they're working, and they worked, only on Mantis client. I don't know if there are future plans, other then mantain Mantis (upgrade it, solve bugs etc....)

The funny thing is, even the maintenance of Mantis by IOHK is coming to an end by the next month. I've asked about the update of IOHK's roadmap for Ethereum Classic in Ethereum Classic's official Telegram, but it seems like no one's got any clue there. Roll Eyes

Thanks ! Grin

Cryptopia has still not resolved the "upgrade" issue and trading (along with the deposits) there will remain suspended until they do so.
2374  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Where is exchange that listing fee is cheap? on: November 12, 2018, 08:13:29 PM
Binance lists the projects even for zero fees now and has made the process very soft. Moreover, if Binance charges anything for listing, they donate it all to charity.

Changpeng Zhao (CZ) is a good guy. Wink
CZ knows how to conduct business well. All the coins they listed for free (we have only his word to believe) in the more recent months have generated very high volumes, which obviously translates into high fee income.

He uses the market in his advantage, regardless of what way it goes. Binance literally extorted ICOs because of the insane amounts they managed to raise. Now the ICO hype is over, he shifted his business model.

I'm not saying there is anything wrong with what he does, I even think he's doing a fantastic job operating Binance the way an exchange should be operated, but my only point is that not everything he is doing is done out of goodwill.

Behind his innocent looking appearance hides a firm business mind. He's a billionaire for a reason. Wink

Well, he's a successful business-man, that's for sure. Going from zero to billionaire in under a year is no joke.

CZ noticed that the money wasn't flowing into the crypto industry like it was back in December/January (when Binance used to charge millions for a listing), and hardly anybody was actually able to pay Binance's huge listing fee. He continued to relax the terms for listing with each month of this bear market, and finally, decided to make it zero for truly community-backed projects like Raven and come up with the best possible idea of donating all listing fee to charity.

This new policy came into play due to Expanse (EXP) though, after their team claimed that Binance was asking for a listing fee of 400 bitcoins for the EXP listing. Roll Eyes

I know you can never be sure with Bitcoin. But considering past weeks i dont believe in miracles in next 3 weeks. So basically I see only 7 left on that list.

You are seriously hurting my feelings.

Truth hurts!

I've got a feeling that bitebits would win this one.

- New Korean exchange Pure Bit just pulled an exit scam claiming 13,000ETH from its investors as we speak. Kakao channels are emptying and the site has been pulled.

But how it could be related to ETH I didn't understand what are you want to explain please tell us in clear words. If any exchange turned into scam than there is no fault of any cryptocurrency.

No sorry , off course is nothing about ETH, it was just a news i got from a website about  this exchange that scammed many users, just to let you know to be carefull where you deposit your ETH or other coin too

Nothing about ETH? I don't think so. 13,000 ETH scam = 13,000 ETH will have to be dumped somewhere crashing off Ethereum's value. Roll Eyes

13k ETH isn't even whale status. More like small dolphin. "crashing off Ethereum's value"....lol

They're enough to flash crash Ethereum on big exchanges at least for a few seconds. Look at ETH's current support at Binance for example, dumping 13k ETH there will bring ETH all the way down to 0.025 BTC each from the current value of 0.033 BTC (that's approximately 30% decline).

Is this project mineable? Or is just announced and the terms will be available soon?

Would you mind searching on this same page before posting your question? It has literally been answered a few times already here! Roll Eyes

I can't find this kind of info, sorry. Is this PoW, PoS, both or not mineable? Where can I find this info?

From Elixxir's Discord:

3.19. Does Elixxir use a PoW, PoS or DPoS consensus protocol?

No, the Elixxir consensus mechanism is not PoW, PoS or DPoS. Elixxir uses a novel consensus mechanism. Stake's only role in our consensus is to make sure nodes have skin in the game and have something to lose by acting maliciously. It does not influence the selection of nodes and stake is currently equal for all nodes, and ensures that nodes are incentivized properly.
