2921  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Gtx 1060 3gb obsolete now ? on: June 26, 2018, 11:29:18 PM
I have 18xGTX 1060 3G and i am still mining eth with same hashrate from 6 months ago, i am using windows and also old nVidia drivers

Well it's the difficulty that changes over time, not your hashrate.

i give up

i even installed the android wallet but wtf is this sh... pocket my nano  Roll Eyes

I wonder what exactly you're looking at that page. It's just a block ID of transactions containing an address of Binance (which is holding approximately 26 million NANO). Nothing wrong in there, it's not an individual holding all that major chunk of NANO.
2923  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [SELFKEY] ID Wallet for Citizenship, Incorporation, Fintech, Banking, Exchanges on: June 25, 2018, 03:01:11 PM
Selfkey's development team has been focusing on signing the SelfKey Identity Wallet with a Windows Developer ID certificate this week, as that unlocks the auto updater function for the application. Team are on course with the launch of the wallet and expect to release it by the end of Q2.
What date are you talking about? second quarter 2019 or 2020 .. lol

Second quarter of 2018. Yes, by the end of this month, probably 28th of June as officially announced.

SelfKey has performed extremely well in the past few weeks, better than around 90% of tokens; this upcoming identity wallet release is probably the reason.

Depends on which country you are based, sure is that in a while just in Venezuela they will be able to mine with no loss if we go ahead like this

Venezuelans think bitcoin is in a bull market. Cheesy

Actually, for Venezuelans, bitcoin really is still in bull market. Their currency has declined faster than bitcoin if last 6 months of "bearish" trend of bitcoin are considered.

See this:

*looks pretty bullish, this is BTC to VEF*

West Indies have made a very bad start to their test match against Sri Lanka. They have been reduced to 46/4 before tea. Although rain interruptions made it difficult to concentrate and the pitch became helpful to Sri Lankan seamers, I would have expected West Indies to play better.

Looks like West Indies is struggling against Sri Lanka in this one. Now West Indies is 5 wickets down for just 88 runs; however, Shane Dowrich and the captain, Jason Holder, seem to be gaining a bit of momentum with ongoing partnership of 35 runs.

Good move.

However, I wonder if they bought that premium domain name for millions from its owner. ".info" is the cheapest available domain name and (mostly) not used by big projects.

I'm tired of staring at these same old outdated images. As far as I remember correctly, this one is from late 2013.

EDIT: I've searched around; this one's surely from 2017. However, other than this one, most of the images circulating around these days are very outdated.

Interestingly:

In December 2015: Less than 1 percent of U.S. consumers (2 percent of consumers aware of virtual currency) have ever owned (adopted) virtual currency.

In March 2018: The survey discovered that 92 percent of the American population has not purchased cryptocurrency and only eight percent of them plan on investing in cryptocurrency in the future.

I AM Okay With That . Still Holding . I hope it will be fixed soon.  Undecided

Here comes the explanation:

https://www.reddit.com/r/nanocurrency/comments/8sw74g/android_wallet_issue_explanation_not_as_bad_as/

They used java.util.Random instead of SecureRandom. I don't know how in the world they made this childish mistake; java.util.Random is NOT completely random. It's predictable, and when it comes to making new seeds through it, things can get a lot worse.

Still, move your funds out of your Android wallet if they're present there.
2932  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][XRB]Cryptocurrency's killer app: RaiBlocks micropayments on: June 21, 2018, 10:29:26 PM
Immediate response:

Guys this is very urgent:

Move out your NANO as soon as possible if you've them on your Android wallet, just send them to an exchange if you're not sure what to do right now.

Could you please give more details about issue of Android wallet?

Official details haven't been provided by developers yet; however, as far as I'm aware, the Android wallet created keys with very weak seeds (similar to the thing happened with Android wallet for Bitcoin in 2014).

now that ETH is going to go PoS you are going to add more cards to the network with the hashrate skyrocketing??? OMG.......... people are just Fu---cking up this.

I don't understand, does this mean mining with a GPU will be more difficult soon?

Ethereum is going to Proof-of-Stake (PoS) from Proof-of-Work (PoW). No official date has been announced yet; it'll probably be the first quarter of next year.

Mining difficulty has been constantly rising for Ethereum (see the graph here); once it goes PoS, it'll be somewhat a trouble for GPU miners as then they won't be able to mine Ethereum. Still, once it goes PoS, you'll have many other coins (using mine-able algorithms like ethash, cryptonight, equihash, etc) to mine. However, imagine all this hash switching from Ethereum to other GPU-friendly coins, it'd definitely create a huge difficulty increase in those coins and it'd be quite interesting to see how the market reacts after that.

Today we have 4th ODI match b/w AUS vs ENG. i don't think Australia will come back in this match. England already won this series and leading by 3-0 if it goes 5-0 also no surprise.

Suppose if England play first batting today also we can expect a big score.

Very dull start by Australia. They are 38/0 after 7.2 overs. I am saying this again and again... If the Australians want their team to perform well during the 2019 World Cup, then they need to replace at least part of the old guard with fresh blood.
Australian batting is not bad today they scored 225/2, 39 overs completed. Aaron Finch got out for exactly 100 runs. head and Marsh also scored half century it's a good sign for aus team. I think still 11 overs left and 8 wickets in hand so we can expect 100 more runs. 330+ is not a bad total may be today aus have a chance to win this match what you say guys.
Finally Australia scored 300+ on this Series and give a target of 310 to England, but now the England team scored 144 for 19 overs with any wicket loss sure they are going lead the series with 4-0 today and very bad show from Australia team for this series.

England beat Australia by 6 wickets. Australian team did put up a good performance but that was simply not enough to beat England. They had a target of 300+ in mind and they did cross it, but English team is in good tempo these days and they achieved the target very easily.
2936  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ETC] Ethereum Classic: Immutable Smart Contracts on: June 21, 2018, 05:35:13 PM
It is a miracle that ETC can survive and survive from hard forks. The future development of ETC is still worth looking forward to.
News of coinbase integration of ethereum classic has also contributed to rise of price lately.

When will it be added?

The exact date hasn't been given by Coinbase yet. We just know that it'll be added in "coming months".

2938  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling vs. "leveraged" trading on: June 20, 2018, 10:50:46 PM
This thread motivated me to open an account @ bitmex to try crypto trading on leverage. Unfortunately, the USA is a "restricted" region? (It might be a state based restriction, rather than nation based)

What's a good exchange for leveraged trading, where I might have access?

The last time I tried trading with leverage on the stock market, I think the minimum account balance to do so was $2,000. One neglected advantage of crypto trading could be leverage with balances less than $2k. Generally higher potential profits are correlated with greater risk. Many financial and economic instabilities and recessions can be traced back to large investors gambling with toxic assets when financial bubbles pop.

"Regulation" prohibits people like me from having financial opportunities with leveraged crypto trading on bitmex. I know that people circumvent regulation via VPN/proxy/etc. But shouldn't these platforms operate on an equal opportunity basis?

From their terms of service:

By registering as a Member you represent and warrant:

i) that you are not a resident of the United States of America, Cuba, Crimea and Sevastopol, Iran, Syria, North Korea, Sudan, or any other jurisdiction where the services offered by BitMEX are restricted. If it is determined that you have given false representation as to your place of residence, BitMEX reserves the right to close your account immediately and liquidate any open positions at the prevailing market price.

At Bitmex, there's no minimum account balance required for leveraged trading. You're good to go even with a few satoshis. However, I must say that you're lucky for being in a restricted region. It ruined my savings of whole year in a blink of an eye. Roll Eyes

I'm never going to open that website again.

What is everyone getting for stock RX 470?  I been away from mining for a while, and I'm getting around 15Mh/s.  It seems low, but is the decrease due to the DAG file size?

No, you should be getting much more hashrate than that with your RX 470. At the very least, it should be getting you 23 Mh/s to 25 Mh/s. I'd suggest you to:

-reinstall drivers
-make sure that your graphics is not getting overheated and is staying below 88 degrees
-apply a bit of overclocking

BTW, are you using just one graphics card?
