Before this FTX debacle I hadn't watched interviews with either them because I simply didn't care, but having watched some now they certainly both come across very amateurish and not particularly well thought out in their opinions or positions. I wonder if many FTX users bothered to investigate them before depositing coins to their scam.
Well I have to admit and say that I used them few times for small amount of coins, only because they didn't have any fees for withdrawing Bitcoin, and I didn't have to pass any kyc verificatrion. I withdraw my few sats in last moments, and I think that few hours after that all withdrawals got halted and stopped, so I didn't lost any coins in this fiasco This was just my risky experiment and testing, and I don't suggest anyone to hold coins in centralized exchanges at all.

I wrote about Kollider exchange last month in The Lightning Network FAQ topic, and I am following it since then. It looks like a promising project, especially since it has it's own version of fiat currencies USD/EUR that are backed only by Bitcoin, so there are no altcoins or stable coins involved. If we want to reduce risk and switch from centralized exchanges, we need projects like this and more popular decentralized exchanges. One thing I don't understand is how and why they have Ethereum(USD pair there. Have you used them yet? I haven't seen your post until now. I made a topic about them earlier today after coming across them on Twitter.
I didn't use Kolider yet, since it is still in beta phase.

Once Coingecko (and other tracking sites) introduce that feature (which is just matter of time), I am pretty sure that Binance will be there at the first spot as well. Hell, they are listed as the top exchanges there as well. They are by far the biggest exchange at the moment, whether we like it or not so its expected to have biggest proof of reserve numbers.
I was not saying they are not on top by volume, but we are talking about proof of reserves here, and CoinMarketCap doing that is the same thing as CZ doing it, so I don't trust them. Coingecko already added information for Reserves in their standard page for exchanges, there are two options Available and Unavailable, and they are not owned by any known centralized exchange. It's interesting that Coinbase, Gemini and Binance US exchanges reserves are not Available for Coingecko right now, and it's the same thing for CoinMarketCap. https://www.coingecko.com/en/exchangesCentralized exchanges can now use this alleged proof of reserves, to lure new customers again to keep coins in their accounts... until the next exchange collapse.

Will this drama never end? I thought everything had been muted and discussed thousand times over. But again, the topic is about Royse777. Knowing your character, I just understand how you feel. This is somewhat like persecution.
I don't think this saga will end any time soon, some members just like putting more salt on old wounds, and Royse doesn't have thick enough skin to ignore them. Only reason I would understand creation of this topic is if Poker Player ignored Royse and disabled private messages from him, like some other members did. If you are going to start working as a manager, dealing with money and shady projects, you need to be ready to accept all the risks that comes with that. That means you can always be accused for being unprofessional or not doing a good job... so deal with it Royse.

-Our mixing protocol is not a simple CoinJoin existing, we have developed our own strategies through various methods to ensure a unique transaction per user while mixing the CoinJoin concept. We ensure that each transaction is unique and you will not mix your new transactions with old ones, of course. Thanks to your comment, this clarification is added to our about page.
Until you show us some proof for your claims, or ownership for larger amount of Bitcoins, I will consider your statements to be misleading. You first said that you are using CoinJoin, and we all know what that is, now you are claiming that you use something different that is not very well explained. This is contradiction because you only changed statement here and on your website after I asked a question about CoinJoin, so then you reply that ''your coinjoin'' is somehow ''better''.

@n0nce this was well written amazing review of Passport batch2 hardware wallet, and it took me some time to read everything. Hands down I think this is currently one of the best open source Bitcoin hardware wallets available in market. Some people could complain about lack of support for shitcoins, but this is only positive thing for me. Compared to it's older brother Coldcard, this is big step in right direction in every way, and solid improvement from Foundation edition. I can't wait to see what device is Foundation going to release next. I'd really recommend Foundation Devices to start offering 'accessories' in their shop; it's a good way to keep revenue flowing in, after a user bought your product. Especially for premium products (like Passport) that customers don't want to replace every year.
For sure they need to offer cases for devices, in same way like most people use cases for their phones. Same thing with batteries, and they could even earn extra sats for selling this, just look what Trezor is doing.

Part of the issue is, and I have said this before, we don't know what we don't know/ It looks like he is using an integrated random function of the phones OS to generate the entropy. Without a deep dive into the hardware. I don't know what information HMD Global gives out about that kind of stuff. And if they did, I probably would not be able to understand it anyway....
Workaround for this would be to generate secure seed words offline (using dices for example) and them import them in Nokia phone. Device doesn't have secure element but you could add PIN codes that already exist, and maybe add additional passphrases for better protection. I would much more trust offline generation of seed that random closed source secure elements for this work, so this applies for all hardware wallets. I would appreciate if someone gets a hold of one of this Nokia devices, consider testing this app with testnet and post your feedback here. I am also checking out local flea markets for this phones, so it's possible I will do the same in future

It's not so new device... I know they had presale of same hardware wallet model few years ago I think for $99. I also found old topic in forum from 2020, by member rohanagarwal94, but he was banned for posting fake miner software, so I don't know if he was really connected with Cypherock company. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5225800.0@Nmnsth can you please explain this? WalletScrutiny hasn't checked it out yet, but I hope with funding secured now, they will try it out. Otherwise we have to do it ourselves.. Someone should tag them here in forum or on twitter to check Cypherock, but I wouldn't be surprised if the code was not reproducible.

Somehow I missed that last year, but I believe you were referring to their " CRYPTO STARTER PACK"... In order to redeem the $25 voucher, it required users to purchase at least $60 through Coinify and on top of that, there was the following restriction: - I wouldn't be surprised to see such things again (especially for the latter part)!Exactly, it was Coinify thing! They would ''give'' you free vouchers BUT you needed to spend more money to use them... and people still had a lot problem even with this system. I don't know what scheme they will use this year, but I am sure they will involve some of their partners and complicate everything.

If you want, I can also try a long-lasting acid test. the short contact only creates a removable scult, in the long run it should only favor rust but I can easily do this test and publish the results.
Nice work testing steel washers! You could become European and Italian version of Jameson Lopp If you don't know he tested and tortured many metallic seed cold storage backups and he wrote extensive reviews. Maybe you can get some ideas for future testing by reading his reviews: https://blog.lopp.net/tag/cold-storage/https://jlopp.github.io/metal-bitcoin-storage-reviews/

And i want to make a project of building an hardware wallet (something like Ledger ) Please don't make it like ledger There are much better hardware wallets available today, and I would even say that market is oversaturated with hardware wallets. Where should i start ? i do not have any idea i saw some video on youtube from people who opened a ledger and saw all circuit there, i think there are 3 important circuit which are microprocess and basics circuit.
If I understand correctly you want to start making commercial hardware wallet device that you want to offer for selling to other people? In my opinion this is pure waste of time if you are single guy who is starting from zero without any background experience in making products. You would have to compete with some big players, so this is battle already lost. It's ok if you are making hobby DIY project, and in that case try to make everything open source and transparent. (btw i want to build an evm hardware wallet)
More blockchains, means more bugs, more work, and in near future most of shitcoin blockchains won't even exist, or nobody will use them.

What does the Bitcoin community think? Looking forward to engagement and constructive support …
I think you are wasting your time and energy with shitcoins like DigiByte, Syscoin and others you mentioned, but it's your project and you can do whatever you want. Current market conditions are not great and people are more interested in current market conditions then past events, that can be distorted with different points of view. You need to understand that people are not willing to send donations and make sponsorship for any Bitcoin related books easy, except maybe for faces that are already known in public like Andreas Antonopoulos etc. Anyway, good luck with your project, and remember to mention Bitcointalk forum as important part of Bitcoin history

I’m wondering if anyone has tried out BTCapsule. I would love to hear any feedback/criticism. Thank you.
Can this be tried and tested with Bitcoin testnet or only with mainnet coins? I would be interested in testing how everything works with testnet coins first, but I can't promise anything right now...because life stuff have priority. My suggestion is to first ask for code review from known bitcoin developers, and maybe record demo video showing how everything works for you.

The offer is good and I don't expect any other wallet provider to compete with it, but they don't ship worldwide, and using package forwarding service is not really worth it.
I can confirm they are shipping worldwide, and they are also using Amazon shop for Europe and United States; Asia is covered from Hong Kong/China I think. If Keystone website or Amazon is not offering your country for delivery, than you can try contacting them on their telegram group @KeystoneWallet or their owner @LixinLiu (their twitter account is also active). Note that I am not advertising Kesystone products in any way, just trying to provide correct information, so seller on Amazon is called KeystoneHQ and this is their official store: https://www.amazon.com/stores/KEYSTONE/page/0360EBE5-E20C-45DC-836C-59573EAE62F5

Get 50% off on Cypherock X1 with promo code NOSEED50 till Black Friday
That is a nice Black Friday deal but I think Cypherock X1 wallet is still a bit expensive for me, even with this discount price is $199 plus shipping. Shamir Secret Sharing converts your plain-text seedphrase to encrypted shards. Lose 3 of the 5 shards and still have access to your Bitcoin.
I don't know if you are official representative of Cypherock wallet, but if you are, canyou tell me if this Shamir Secret Sharing is compatible with other wallets that supports it. For example, I know that Trezor Model T and Keystone also support SSS, but I don't know if your is compatible with theirs. I said before that main problem with Shamir Secret Sharing is not standardized implenetation, so everyone is making their own ''better'' versions. One more question: I saw on your website that wallet is Open Source and code can be found on github, but is wallet firmware and everything else also open source? If you can confirm this I will add Cypherock X1 to my list of Open Source hardware wallets: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5288971.0

They are marketing this as their "biggest" Black friday offer to date, my expectations are up. Any thoughts?
Nobody can beat this year Black Friday offer for Keystone hardware wallet, that is up to 40% discount! Trezor is also offering very good deals, but I said before that I am waiting to see new device they release with secure element and I am not purchasing anything from Trezor until then. However, if someone doesn't have much money and still want's to purchase decent hardware wallet, Trezor One is still usable and ok for current BF price. I just checked and I can confirm they are selling the Trezor model T for 181$, not bad to be honest.
Still expensive for me. Passport hardware wallet is a bit more expensive but it's way better than Trezor Model T. Even Coldcard and Keystone are better, and they are currently much cheaper. Jade hardware wallet could also be considered, it's going to be airgapped soon with firmware update, and it's around $40 to $50.

So apparently and instead of giving discounts on devices, ledger is giving away:
Are they really giving away $20 and $30 dollars worth of Bitcoin to customer address, or they are again using their third party partners gift cards vouchers like this did last year? If this is the same kind of deal like last time I can tell you to stay away from this, because last year some people get tricked by this. I can't remember all the details but someone could search more to find what exactly happened with this. Go get Snake Oil vouchers quickly and do one more round of kyc roulette

After checking the exodus mobile app, it appears that the taproot support is not there yet. You can only use it on the desktop wallet for now.
It's weird, but I never tested Exodus mobile wallet and it's probably harder to enable this in apps. Just look at Electrum mobile app and compared it with desktop wallet, it's totally different experience, but they probably need different developers for this. More to add: Blixt wallet (open source)[1]. Just like exodus, you have to enable it from the settings:
Thanks, I just added Blixt wallet to my list of Taproot supported wallets. Is this Lightning Network mobile wallet that also supports mainnet Bitcoin transactions?

Windows Defender may flag BTCapsule because it was made with PyInstaller. I do not have $500 for a signed-certificate right now. When you generate an address, Google "Bitcoin testnet faucet" and have coins sent to the generated P2SH address.
This is fine because windows defender is not very smart piece of software and it false flags a bunch of things. Everything should be fine as long as the source code matches with windows version of BTCapsule and if this can be verified. I would suggest everyone to switch to Linux OS anyway.
