341  Local / Pilipinas / Re: [Discussion]Business idea gamit ang Bitcoin on: October 13, 2023, 06:48:08 PM
Bitcoin lending din yung isa sa unang naisip ko, though I doubt na may manghihiram sayo locally if bitcoin ang ipapaloan ay bitcoin din kapalit given na icoconvert agad nila ito into cash if locally, assuming na need nila ng fiat. Lending dito sa local board natin is pwede I guess sa mga taong need bitcoin. Pwede rin pagaging merchant ka ng physical goods like phone, sneakers or anything, bitcoin payment yung preferred mode of payment mo.
342  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Educational plan sa Bitcoin o Insurance? on: October 12, 2023, 06:17:53 PM
Ito ang plan ko. Kukuha ako ng educational plan na mababa lang then half ng salary(signature campaign at real job) ko ay ilalagay ko sa Bitcoin monthly then observe ang Bitcoin market in 4 years basis dahil ito yung tinatawag na crypto cycle tapos ilalabas ko yung half profit ko sa Bitcoin para ilagay ulit sa insurance and so on. Bali not totally all-in sa Bitcoin para may guaranteed profit while still invested sa Bitcoin regularly.
Ito scenario lang ito, "What if mag accept ng Bitcoin payment yung mga educational institutions in the future na malaki na yung anak mo"? I know risky yung Bitcoin market pero sa tingin ko ibahin mo lang yung dalawa at ang crypto cycle hindi naman yan forever, uncertain yan just because it happens 3 times ay hindi ibig sabihin ma uulit ng uulit yan. Yung real job mo ay pang real life na yan then yung earnings mo online ay ilaan mo sa Bitcoin or wag mong hatiin yung real job salary mo, maybe 1/4 lang nito ang ilagay.
Tama, bitcoin supporter ako pero may times talaga na maiisip mo na pwede parin mangyari to na baka hindi masunod yung anticipated cycle na hinihintay nating lahat which is wag naman sana mangyari yun. Still do risk management kahit bitcoin ang for me safest investment dito sa volatile cryptocurrency market. Gumawa parin tayo ng emergency funds even if may insurance kasi di natin alam baka need natin ng instant money, atleast may mabubunot tayo. I believe mas importante bumuo muna ng emergency funds rather than insurance. Insurance comes first, investment second and third is insurance. Personal opinion ko lang to, give me insights din if ever may mas maayos na priorities kayo.
343  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's your Favorite Altcoin and Why? on: October 12, 2023, 05:52:09 PM
There are 1000's of Alternative Crypto-Currencies out there, but which one do you actually use?

Post your favorite Altcoin below and tell us why you think so.

I don't have a favorite ones because they all serve different purposes, I just have a bias on other coins. One of the altcoins that I own and use is Ethereum for gas purposes and BNB for my trading fees on binance when I'm doing my trades. I think it's hard to choose a favorite altcoin today since everyone of them has purpose and of course different potential profit when the bull market comes. Majority of the altcoin where replaceable when someone better had been created, this has been proven many times already as the technology we have are advancing, this is why it's hard to choose a favorite coin, fundamentally.

Hi, thanks for suggestion, yeah, Littlemouse is cool, already heard about him/her  Smiley
About license, we are in process of issuing Curacao license, should be done soon, and thats why we didn't make any big activity here, we just tried to get a little attention, to get community feedback to close all common problems, and then finish license and start bigger compaign, thats it currently  Smiley

Without a doubt, having a license is very important to comply with government laws, currently governments have been very strict when it comes to combating money laundering and financing terrorism, so they have started to force casinos to have that having a license and then the license provider forces casinos to ask for KYC and in this matter of kyc another problem arises which are the cases of asking for kyc before the customer makes the deposit or after they make the deposit, and when the casino chooses not to require kyc before deposit, but at the time of withdrawal what happens is that customers get it right and win a lot of money and at the time of withdrawal the casino asks for kyc and accuses the customer of having too many accounts

so I hope that when you are licensed, you put a TOS that is more beneficial to your customers, in case you choose to say that they will only ask for KYC in cases of suspicious activities, then you need to detail in your TOS things that you consider to be suspicious activities, because once any customer is accused of being involved in some suspicious activity, then you will only need to show him proof and the point in your casino's TOS that he broke is the punishment that will be applied. I believe that with this your casino would be one of the few transparent and honest casinos in this market

about signature campaigns or advertising here on the forum to promote your casino, I think you have to look at this issue very carefully, because even if you run a signature campaign, if your casino doesn't have things that attract people, then run a signature  campaign may not bring you customers, in my opinion you should first ask people what they would like to see in your casino and then implement those things and run a signature campaign
Basically they need to redo or reconfigure their TOS after getting the license they are planning to get. Having a license means that you need to collect KYC from your customer, the casino might lose some players because of mandatory KYC that is required by the license but it can also attract new gamblers given that you have a license to show to them. It's a pros and cons in getting the a license if you are a new casino.

A signature campaign is not enough really, I think it's just a boost on showing what your casino can offer to the gamblers. Aggressive marketing gives a very huge boost especially when you are a starting casino.
345  Economy / Economics / Re: What would you do in this situation? Invest or save? on: October 12, 2023, 04:38:48 PM
$5,000 remaining is not that far anymore, I won't risk it with something else if I am near the capital that is needed to start my business. I'd rather do other work and try to reach that number. I don't think it will take a year to receive that much in a decent job.
A rushed decision would just make things worse and it mostly ends up bad so it's better to just have patience and wait for the completion of the capital. Who knows, while you are in the process of completing the required amount you might think of some new good ideas for your business. I mean, the excitement could make us think better while our adrenaline is pumped up.
That's true. If he choose to risk the $15k that he has right now, if he somehow failed to grow it to his target capital that he really want, I think it would be hard for him to comeback. There might be a chance of him being disappointed and not continue the original plan that he have. The $5k he needed to materialize his dream business, it would be better to just go all in and accumulate those $5k rather than try to invest it on small businesses that you are uncertain rushed decisions.

Nowadays it is almost impossible to rely on any type of review as almost all the review site is full of fake reviews. So, I do not rely on any review site regarding gambling. Regarding gambling, I only rely on the reviews/feedback/comments on Bitcoin talk org. It is easy to know from the forum about the site.
Anyone who finds himself in this forum and who also is a gambler has solve 50% of his problems as regards to scamming and scams. It is very difficult for an old gambler who is a member of this forum to play in scam casino. The reputation system of bitcointalk is working wonders and saving gamblers. When you check well the majority of scam complaints come from newbies who may not have known how bitcointalk works.

Almost every review sites now is paid. No one does a free review anymore and since you are paid, your conscience is somewhat biased and you may end up making a compromised review. I do not rely on review sites for anything.

True. I myself also rely in this forum if we are talking about scam casinos. There are numbers of forum members who likes to do their own investigation about casino especially if someone experienced being scammed by a scam casino. This is an open forum where everyone can post their own opinion that's why some newbies or paid people who are using newbie account who are staining other casino, I guess those who are doing fake accusations are just their competitors. Those accusations are being ignored or criticized especially if the proofs that is on the accusation is not enough. This is why I like this forum because forum members are the one who decides if it is a scam or not based on the evidences, it's like a court but members are the judges.
347  Economy / Economics / Re: Honda Now Accepts Bitcoin and Ethereum As Payment Methods on: October 11, 2023, 05:24:50 PM
Bitcoin is many people's investment and they won't want to use Bitcoin to purchase cars as they are nothing but liability, still people need a car when they can afford one, I already have a ride and I don't plan on getting another for the next three years, also it's not easy to import cars into the country as this is more costly than the amount you will be buying the car, so ridiculous.

There are many abandoned cars by car dealers in my country because they can't afford the clearance fee, they left everything and move on, this also makes car value to rise insanely high in my country.

I can use crypto as a means of payment, to buy some things online but not very costly things like cars, especially using Bitcoin, if I am going to use Bitcoin to purchase anything over a thousand dollars for example, I will make sure I get the Bitcoin back not too far in future, Bitcoin is gold and it should be kept instead of spending.
I think that the main point of OP is the increasing options for us bitcoin users. This can put other car brands into accepting bitcoin as a payment for their car. It's not about how cars depreciate or how unpractical it is compared in holding bitcoin. The more merchants that bitcoin have is the more options we have on how and where we should spend our bitcoin. Remember when tesla accepts bitcoin as a payment, I'm sure there are people who bought Tesla before using bitcoin. Also there might be other big brands that will come sooner or later after realizing the potential of bitcoin.

Imagine 3 years from now and we are on the bull market, you had a plan to buy a honda car. At least you got to experience buying something that is not that cheap using your bitcoin that you got for cheap. There's a satisfactory feeling about it that I think I will feel if I got a chance to buy that.
348  Other / Off-topic / Re: Keeping your gambling habit a secret. on: October 11, 2023, 04:23:40 PM
~snip~
It depends really on the preferences of a person. Some person might be comfortable with many people knowing their gambling habits, however some might find a hard time sharing it with others. And no matter what reason they might have, it's all valid. Perhaps some people have a negative experience about others knowing it such as others invading their privacy or prying too much on their personal lives to the point they feel like suffocating because others have so much opinion for them or controls how they should act. So I totally get it if some prefer to keep being low key and have only few people know about their gambling habits.
For reasons that each person has, they will continue with their choice because it makes them comfortable. The important thing is that each person who gambles will know what to do and see the reaction of the people around him and his environment. If they see it is better to hide their gambling activities, they will do so and vice versa. But whatever they choose, we should not blame them because we don't know the situation and conditions in their environment and what they are facing.
I agree with that. It is their life and they know their situation the most more than us. There are people who are comfortable in showing that he/she is a gambler, one example of it are streamers, they stream and flaunt their gambling experience over their streaming platform or social media because they want to interact with people who are also interested with gambling and also to gain followers and casino deals of course. It is just depending on how you see your situation and on how it can impact you as an individual who gamble.
349  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Possible measures to stop online gambling addiction. on: October 11, 2023, 03:55:58 PM
To be honest, I don't doubt or blame your opinion, but whether an addict will easily take the steps you mentioned above, in my opinion is very difficult, and depends on how confident the person is to stop gambling.

I agree with you, if someone who has stopped gambling addiction tries to find good activities such as hobbies, sports or social activities in their environment, that is a good step, and it could be without them realizing it. , slowly he will leave his gambling because he is busy with his activities. the new one.
An addicted gambler will need some support to get that done, they can't do it themselves because they are addicted and the urge to gamble won't let them go out and try some sports or anything, they will think why not just sit at home and gamble instead? So, a person who is addicted to gambling but has realized that the addiction is affecting their life and they want to get out of it will need a helping hand to get them out of the situation that they've got themselves into.

A friend can be the best support in such a situation. If you are addicted to gambling and you have a very good best friend who is always with you in any situation, they can help you get out of the addiction by taking you places and keeping you busy with sports and games or any other activity because a friend would know what you used to like before the addiction.
Yep, things that can make you busy really helps if you are trying to get out of addiction, no matter what addiction is it. As long as you are busy enough and interested on the new thing you are doing, the chance of you in losing that addiction stack up everyday. Actually I'm a gambling addict before and having different hobbies where I can put my money on was the one that ejected me from being a addict. I'm a bad on finance before but spending money on hobbies that I'm really interested before was the one who put me no choice but to not spend it on gambling. I don't have money to spend on gambling = I will not do gambling, easy. Though after escaping from addiction, I focus on finance and I stop spending on the hobby that I have.
350  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Not keeping records makes me a bad gambler? on: October 11, 2023, 01:49:12 PM
Good day crypto Famz, I will like to ask gamblers this question, is there any gamblers on here that keeps record of their wins and losses? Do you keep a record of all the pennies you use to gamble and also the result?

Someone whom we both have this discuss yesterday said this is a good practice, I still don't see a reason why because I don't keep record of my losses, I tend to only remember when I win a certain amount, if its good enough you won't easily forget, but apart from this I don't care.

So Famz, is there any benefits when one keeps record on their losses and wins? Is there any thing to gain when you write down all the money you spent in gambling and also how much you have made so far?

Not keeping records, does this make me a bad gambler?
I don't really take down notes on every gambling session I have. I also never did even when the time I'm still an addict and today where I play for mostly the entertainment I get from gambling. I think that it will just make you overthink if you have some list of wins and losses like if on average you are on a loss, there a chance that you might chase those losses into at least break even which can somehow make you deposit more and gamble more. The mental approach will be different on each of us but I think it's not worth putting extra time in taking notes unless you have a way that you can use it to put more wins on your account.
351  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Ever heard about financing a gambler? on: October 11, 2023, 01:28:19 PM
How will you feel if someone you know or just a friend of a friend walk up to you and ask you to finance them in gambling in exchange for a portion of their winnings? Does this even make any sense?

Because the only place this makes a bit sense is the skills base niche like forex trading or crypto trading, how can gambling/gambler be financed?

Have you heard of such before? What is the end result if you have?

Why would you trust anyone to gamble better than you can when it's all about luck?

Is anyone doing this on here?

Someone explained this to me, and I believe he is already a victim because to me it doesn't make sense, I believe he is been used because he lacks knowledge about gambling, do you think my judgment is wrong?

Basically I will decline his offer in financing him for the sake of his portion of winning. Even how much he try to convince me to invest in him, even if he show a winning streak, I will say No. it's just too risky and for me it's not right to ask someone to support his gambling vice. If he is confident with his gambling skills, why is he asking for someone to finance him? If he is a friend, the maximum thing I can do is to stop him from his action because it can put his life in danger given that he is collecting money from others and putting it on a very risky way of earning, once he failed to do his promise, there's a chance that the financers might do something to him.
352  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Time to invest AI coins? on: October 10, 2023, 05:29:43 PM
In my opinion, currently it's not just AI coin that are good to buy, because now cryptocurrency prices are falling, so all cryptocurrency are very good to buy now and hold until the next bull run comes, so don't miss out on investing in cryptocurrency at this time, because this is an opportunity for us to buy cryptocurrency at a low prices (including AI coin).
Yes, I agree with you that you can probably buy any coins right now because everything is at very low prices right now. AI coins may be more promising in the future, but if the bull season starts, the whole market will rise. It won't matter what the project is.
You have a point that any good coins can rise in value when the bull market comes, though it will be a different thing if it aligned with the trend given that it will have a greater profit potential when the token you have is aligned with the trend. When the bull market happen, coins will go up following bitcoin but when there's a trend, those token who are on the trend will constantly go up until the trend peaks and goes down or atleast at the bull market, maintain it's price. I think there are people who are anticipating AI token to go up and to have it's new trend, it's very possible given that it's the web2 trend after all.
353  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Nowhere is safe? on: October 10, 2023, 04:24:10 PM
With hacks occurring more frequently these days, I would strongly emphasize the importance of security. Whether it's a decentralized exchange (DEX) or a centralized exchange (CEX), no one is immune. First, we witnessed the Mixin incident, and now it's Galxe. It's crucial for everyone to assess the security measures of any platform before entrusting their funds. We all bear the responsibility to conduct thorough research before investing our hard-earned money
I believe that no system is safe, every system has a chance to get hacked by a good hacker. Though having a tight security makes it hard for a hackers to hack the system. Most of the reputable websites has a good security until they are hacked, I think the only thing you can do if you want to research about the system security is to search about the past incidents of that website and the available information of how does the website maintain their security. I'm talking about DEX, CEX, crypto crowdsourcing website or any crypto related stuff. It's hard to find information over the internet about security of each website in my experience. The only thing you can do is to secure your own assets in your own non-custodial wallet also carefully manage the external wallet access on your wallet if your wallet have one.
354  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: In Case of Global Conflict, Is BTC The Best Alternative? on: October 10, 2023, 03:32:15 PM
If somehow our country get involved with this stupid wars, I would absolutely transfer majority of my money into bitcoin instantly after hearing the news. This is to protect my money and if ever I plan to flee my country, it would be easy to carry my assets with me. No way that I would still keep some of my money in banks after hearing that kind of news. Though global war will be different because I assume that it will trigger bitcoin price going up given that mostly everyone who knows cryptocurrency will transfer their assets into bitcoin and other crypto. Though I'm not sure about that since probably internet will be affected when that happen.
355  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin millionaire: Lucky or possesses more qualities that we don't have. on: October 10, 2023, 03:10:03 PM
You only have a hard time controlling your emotions when you don't follow the simple rule, which is to invest only what you can afford to lose. Because if you do so, you don't have to worry about it because you won't have any problem when you lose it. the fact that people are stressed when they see the crypto market is in a bearish scenario, they didn't follow that rule and some of them even gone too far because they sold their houses or any expensive assets just to invest in bitcoins without thinking twice and also others are just way out of control because even the funds for their essential needs are used for investment in bitcoins.
It would be crazy to see some people who are willing to sell their houses or expensive asset just to invest on bitcoin without even researching. Don't spend something that is important to you or atleast a "needs" to you for something speculative and volatile like bitcoin with just the hopes of it going up in price, it's a bad way to make an investment. With the years of me on cryptospace, I won't personally sell my house for the sake of investing on bitcoin. I'm a bitcoin positive guy but sacrificing things to the maximum limit like selling important thing or things that can make you function is just too much risky for me. I believe that bitcoin will rise again but I'm investing on a more safer way where my daily life won't be affected even if bitcoin somehow crash.
356  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 95% of NFTs have a market cap of zero on: October 10, 2023, 01:59:13 PM
The business concept isn't unique but isn't in demand by the general public. NFTs can indeed serve as a presentation of an artwork collection, but many people create ones that are far from unique, like generating avatars with monkey images and glasses. Almost anyone can create these, even with automated tools like AI. This makes them entirely non-unique.

Initially, the arrival of NFTs was meant to facilitate artists seeking patent recognition for their work. As it turns out, the conventional methods are still more relevant than engaging in bidding wars over NFTs. NFTs have truly been a hype that adorned the world of altcoins. Many have been fortunate, but there have also been quite a few losses. It takes a wise strategy to maintain NFTs in the crypto world.
I believe that majority of people who flocked in NFT space don't really care about the uniqueness of the art. Most of them are just there for possible profits they can make even if it's a trashy AI art as long as it has a good potential in making a good profit. There are a lot of trash NFT that are obviously non-collectible but there are some that fetch on a ridiculous price because it is hyped by the community. Now that generating profit on NFT's are harder than ever, there's not much news about it and people are just not interested in it anymore. Which we can see from the decline of NFT top notch projects like bored apes that gradually lose it's value and those projects who are very anticipated before but has a zero marketcap today.
357  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you trade altcoins during the bull run or just hodl? on: October 09, 2023, 07:25:10 PM
Man just take some profit, roll some token into the next one, just play the musical chair game, and don't stuck on your coin maybe never got a pump.

I agree with you, because when we get a big profits from altcoin that we invest, so it's better if we take profit and leave a minimum of 10%-15% to hold for the long term, then my advice is from the profit we get, so it's better 15%-20% of the profit that we get to buy Bitcoin and hold it for the long term, because I believe the price of Bitcoin will definitely continue to increase, so if you invest in Bitcoin and hold, then in the future you will definitely get a big profits from investing in Bitcoin, so you don't will regret to hold Bitcoin for the long term.
I've been there, where I leave 20% of my altcoins in my wallet after I sold my altcoins in the market for profit. I personally won't do it again since most of those tokens that I kept back then when we are still at the bull market where still  in my wallet, rotting. It would be better if I sold those 20% at that time and buy bitcoin. We all have different strategy on how we can maximize out profits but I don't think that I will leave any alts in my portfolio again after I saw a good selling price. I doubt that those altcoin that I didn't sold will be going back to my desired selling price.
358  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If we lose in gambling, what do we need to do? on: October 09, 2023, 06:33:34 PM
Gambling is a place to spend money, although many gamblers consider casinos to be a place to earn money. But in reality, more gamblers lose their money at casinos or gambling sites. So I think all of us here probably have almost the same experience, namely losing a lot of money gambling

I also lost money because I lost on gambling, but maybe not that much. But I know there are people who spend a lot of money for gambling. In your opinion, what should we do if we have lost a lot of money on gambling? Do we keep gambling to win so we can cover up previous losses? or stop and work normally and leave gambling? Or do you have other suggestions?
There are many ways how gamblers act when they completely lost on their gambling session but for me the best thing to do after losing is to close the casino website and stay calm. Rest, eat outside or talk to friends or someone, there's a high chance that you won't hold a grudge and do revenge gambling. Though I think it's way better to control yourself first before doing gambling like having a strict budget on gambling. That way you won't think of doing revenge gambling on the casino. The more you think about it the more frustration you will have and if you end up playing again, the chance of you losing will go higher.
359  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cockfighting? on: October 09, 2023, 06:17:48 PM
I have heard from the history of my country that in the past cockfights were organized in different parts of our country. Although the game is not currently held but bull fighting is still held in different parts of our country but I don't know if any of these games are announced on any gambling site.
Bull fighting may still be a traditional gambling game so maybe we will have difficulty or even not find it on the online casino list, even in local online casinos for people from that country. It seems that several traditional gambling games still exist today because there is still interest from local people in betting on these traditional gambling games. And including cockfighting which still exists in several Asian countries and is entertainment for the people there. And if cockfighting is a culture, it may be in the country for the long term.

online cockfighting is legal in  several countries and so you can easily find it over the net. and still raking billions of dollars. and it seems that PH is leading on this one. then india, indonesia cuba, or france.
one can check this article - Countries With Legal Cock Fight Bets in the World just don't mind the gambling site they are recommending here. do your own search of the site.
the existence of this betting type seems to be more on the tradition of the area. how they evolved thru time and sustain this traditional gambling game.
As a local resident of PH, I think the masses in our country are more familiar with cock fighting rather than poker or at least in my area. There are at least 2 physical cockfighting arena in my city and it's neighboring city and there's no legal casino around. I live on a province in the Philippines and it is easier to find cockfighting arena than casino to be honest. Even my late grandfather raise cocks to fight in those arena! This is why I didn't get shocked when an online cockfighting casino rapidly grow in our country. I think cockfighting is a norm here.
360  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you like Meme Coins (Pepes project)? on: October 09, 2023, 03:48:27 PM
these coins first show huge hype and then after some time they turn into shitcoins. So investing in these coins is very risky. Even your total investment may be over. These are basically funcoins that exist today but not tomorrow
memecoin basically created for short team, create hype, sell their shitcoins and then vanish. Doge and shiba somehow able to stand in crypto market and rest of memecoin still getting vanished after come to market. nowadays pepe inspiring people to invest on memecoin but not all memecoin will become pepe when memecoin nature is launch today and vanish tomorrow. Even i still doubt how long pepe can hold its existence, Besides pepeverse can't do anything yet, websites showing roadmap but nothing is fulfilled by team
the thing with meme coin characteristics is that there are two category of meme coin honestly, the ones that truly considered by its community as "innovative" sort of something like pepe, shiba and the likes which also sometime got supported by some huge influencers.
or is it just some random meme coin which generated every day like a shitcoin with no base as its value at all in which gonna be vanishing into thin air
shiba is definitely different same with doge or other meme coin that has reached hundred millions valuation.
I don't even consider meme coin as an innovative token. One example you have is pepe which is most likely a literal meme that has no proper road map, I can't consider a token innovative that has no proper road map or even a plan to be sustainable enough to survive in the future. What makes the meme coins alive even the hype is gone is the community support and those coins that you mentioned has a strong community base, the community that is formed around those meme coins are literally the one who keeps the price from not crashing.
