My best suggestion would be to head over to btcjam and loan at high amounts over there. You can make easy bank there.

terrible advice.

Why is that terrible advice? I thought you could get arbitrations or whatever there/

default rate is high.  Will an arbitration get your money back?  No.
search the forum.

Ah sorry. I haven't used it myself but since it's so popular I'd assume it's safe to use.

Sorry about that.

Talking about loaning, what about bitfinex? I thought that was good?

It is a money grave. They don't count defaulted loans that are not "100% never to be paid back" in the statistics. So if you read about profitability from them, lol.

"Who wants Free Money?"

Everybody, but there is no such thing in the world.

Hhat about that time I found the free 5 dollars on the sidewalk? :3

Someone else lost it.

I knew someone would say that, but someone always loses it. In any transaction. The statement "never any free money," in my opinion is misused. Plus, the government prints lots of money we have no financial backing for.. out of no where.. they get it free.. we don't.

In my opinion.  Smiley

If the government prints money, everyone who held FIAT before the printing will lose collectively!
344  Economy / Gambling / Re: Primedice vs Dicebitco vs Edendice on: August 13, 2014, 12:17:28 AM
Man I feel like people are just picking PD because it's the most popular. Popular doesn't usually mean the best...

It is the oldest and iirc the one that invented offchain betting. Also they always paid everything (even if there were some delays). Eden and dicebtc need to prove themself trustworthy!

I personally think dicebitco.in has already proved themselves. Been running an LTC casino for 6 months straight, and hasn't scammed.

There's no need for the admins to scam, they're making tons anyways. They've given out multiple cashouts as big as 30-60 BTC instantly without a problem (usually PD has terrible withdrawal problems)

What else is going to make you trust them?

When they hit >10000 BTC and not run away with deposits.
345  Other / Meta / Re: New legendary rank? on: August 13, 2014, 12:15:55 AM
I think the gap is too big between senior, hero, and legendary. 6 months at least. I think there should be some more ranks to diversify things a bit.

why?

Ranks have a certain consistent scheme.

15 --> 30 --> 60 --> 120 --> 240 --> 480 --> ~960

It is no accident, that they made it the way it is now!

$ 0.002607 (-41.74 %)
0.00000457 BTC (-40.68 %)

stellar is drop because many people dumping all his stellar which just got from another giveaway,
maybe tomorrow is up again, maybe.

What giveaway? I was thinking that the facebook giveaway was the only one active rightnow

It is, but everyday new people on the waitlist get their coins.

But that is not the reason, there was a huuuge dump, way bigger than a giveaway could be.
349  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Last difficulty ... +20% ? Well ... if you play, you must work ! on: August 12, 2014, 11:13:35 PM
Next diff ~ 19% and it is still a week to go. This will be hugeee >22% I bet

https://bitcoinwisdom.com/bitcoin/difficulty

I don't think it will be above 25% but it is already over 10%.  My guess would be around 20%.  This of course because I decided to get back into mining to try out an S3 - figures.

You missinterpret the stats. It is already @~19.5% but there is still a week to go, so we will likely see >22-25%. No way it will be around 20%

351  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Will my college dorm room be able to handle 3000W? on: August 12, 2014, 11:10:33 PM
One S3 is probably manageable if he has AC or can leave a window open for a breeze.  That's like a large TV and a stereo system - commonplace in most dorms.  Running anything beyond 1 S3 means that any other heat from computers, TVs, stereos would make the room quite toasty.

Larger TVs and Stereos are not running with full capacity 24/7. Stereos have a max output of that wattage. So you can't really compare the heat of those two.

So, I have a serious question. How can I increase my BTC without BIG risk?
I just know with.

- Extremely high volatility Speculation Trading ( High Risk -- High Reward )
- Gambling ( High Risk - High Reward - Experience and factor luck ONLY)
- Providing a service like in cex.io ? ( the price its joke ) , Service Contract for 5 years ? ( not interested . i have personal reason )
- High volatility Speculation Trading ( middle risk --- middle reward -- )

Gambling can be profitable, if you have a very good strategy. You can even have very little risk, if you do it right.

- Start a business
- Help other business in some way

Gambling can be very profitable, IF YOU ARE THE HOUSE!
353  Economy / Economics / Re: If it is only buying and selling on exchanges, how do you think they are profita on: August 12, 2014, 11:06:43 PM
Most of the exchanges make money through transaction fees, which can be pretty big.
and even the difference between buying and selling.

you are thinking about service provider, not exchanges...

360  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does martingale really works? on: August 12, 2014, 06:51:53 PM
Ignoring what? You didn't answer my question... Cool

I answered it...

But to make it obvious: Yes it is luck. Because you got a situation that happens only 99.9902% of the time. I doged the 0.0018% chance that it happens, and thus was lucky.

So a situation that happens 99.9902% of the time you call a short term luck? Did I get you right?

Exactly. And it is pretty logical. Luck describes a situation, where you perform better than you would on average. Do you understand that?

On average means that you should make an infinite number of rolls, but in practice you can't make an infinite number of rolls. Are you going to deny even that?  Roll Eyes

I already noticed that you are no fan of statistics..

Average doesn't mean infinite number of rolls or anything, it is a theoretical concept that holds true if your math is correct.

Okay, you said that "luck describes a situation, where you perform better than you would on average". What do you mean by "average" here?

If you flip a coin and win --> over average --> lucky
If you flip a coin and lose --> under average --> unlucky

If you win a 1% chance --> over average --> lucky
If you lose a 1% chance --> under average --> unlucky

If you win a 99.9902% chance --> over average --> lucky
If you lose a 99.9902% chance --> under average --> unlucky

Do you see some kind of pattern?
