A giveaway thread giving 100 Nxt per user for 1000 users would also create momentum. Only 1x per BTT account, and the account must have at least 20 posts.
In the Mastercoin Giveaway people should promote the project to get' em - I think we should use it too (but not so strict rules, maybe only a reference in signature etc).

I think I am ok now you should see 99nxt...

Do u see them in Unconfirmed transactions?
No! Up in My transactions..

need to get nxt onto an exchange

I'm back from the forest. Dedicated exchange on a premium domain name will be available within approx. 2 to 3 days.
Awesome! So what about the thread for trading guys? Do we really need it?

I think it will be better to play on the safe side and get advantage of these 2-3 days for familiarisation & testing!
I think we can wait a bit before start trading...
Sure and yes, we should first try to recognize and report the bugs, and we all welcome such an exchange. Still an internal buy/sell thread won't hurt and may add some more momentum (extra trade volume) too. It would be free, but yes, it needs more trusted escrow help. (in any case my advise is not to trade a very big chunk of coins here or there for a week or two)
Pouncer will open that thread and you can add your bid or ask there for reference. I ll open the bounty and giveaway thread tomorrow morning!

Where will you find the coins for this? No time to read upthread!
I am interested in providing escrow too and some coins for the givewaway...

C-f-B I send you a small tip again!
Did you get the 1 nxt I send before as a test?

No. As I said due to big time difference between ur server and the others all ur transactions/blocks will be rejected. Set correct time/timezone.
I think I am ok now you should see 99nxt...

need to get nxt onto an exchange

I'm back from the forest. Dedicated exchange on a premium domain name will be available within approx. 2 to 3 days.

Very good. Right now Nxt market cap is 800'000 USD. I hope with a good exchange we'll reach 10'000'000 USD very soon.
Can you elaborate some more on the first number?

1 mil NXT is sold for 1 BTC. 1 BTC = 800 USD.
LOL I need a break!

What is the PID of Next in CentOS?

R u asking me? I don't know. In Windows it looks as "java.exe".
Nice Wink
In my vps client when I got stuck and tried to kill nxt and restart it, I could not get rid of the .nxt files. They kept reappearing. So I figured the process was still active even though i rebooted again and again.

Now it is fixed.

But why this bug?

PS: I struggle to setting up this and figure out how it works - I want to make my local client to work as well. When I will finish with the technicalities I will be able to follow up on bounties, giveaways, faucets, escrow etc....

I have to delete all the files each few minutes for see the same information on both clients, It's only me? or are there someone else having this issues?

3515  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Nxt :: descendant of Bitcoin on: November 24, 2013, 05:01:03 PM
So I am running a local and an online node.
Online found a block and gained +3Nxt.

The amount is not added in local one! I have cleaned .nxt files and restarted...

Important note

Before sending a transaction set deadline to 3-5 minutes. Sometimes transactions don't appear in unconfirmed list and attempt to send it again may lead to double transactions. After 5 minutes u can try again.
The transaction window says deadline in hours!
3517  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Nxt :: descendant of Bitcoin on: November 24, 2013, 03:56:11 PM
I already have 4 orphans, wow!

So Total amount = the coins mined in the block
and fee = my reward?

Are these coins mined basically coins in a transaction? Is mining fee in transactions obligatory?

Total amount is amount that was transfered from account to account. Fee is reward for mining.
I get NullPointerException again...

But if no-one pays fees? What will miners get?

EDIT: Just saw ur edit..
3518  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Nxt Investors: Claim your account NOW! (launch tomorrow!) on: November 24, 2013, 03:53:18 PM
how do we calculate how much everyone gets from the 21btc that was transfered
https://blockchain.info/address/1BCN1ugdKdWd9pQ8Am9hMhtHZfmbXzxE8a

and how did other people claim without doing the secret paraphrase trick?

How many total coins were created?

1 billion coins total.
