IMPORTANT NOTICE TO ALL BTC TRADING CORP WEBSITE PARTICIPANTS
As a result of recent changes in the virtual currency regulatory environment, the btct.co and litecoinglobal.com virtual stock market websites will be closing down. The following is our current schedule:
Approximately a week ago, both sites were closed to any new users and new asset creation was disabled.
Effective immediately, in conjunction with this release, trading will be halted, all order books cleared, and trading re-enabled.
October 7, 2013, all forms of secondary market trading will be halted on both sites.
Approximately October 31, 2013, both sites will be taken offline. It is strongly suggested that participants take the following steps to protect all of their virtual assets:
All participants should take steps to transfer all of your BTC and LTC (and any other data you wish to keep, such as CSV trade histories) held on the sites to your personal computer or another trusted site.
All participants should make sure that their public BTC or LTC address is properly set in the Account page on the Settings tab whereby it can be shared with all issuers.
All “issuers” should have the contact information concerning their “investors”, and we ask that all “issuers” communicate with their “investors” as soon as possible as to how they will ensure that all are treated appropriately.
We regret this development. However, we want to do everything we can to minimize problems arising from this transition. It is our goal to keep this shutdown orderly and calm.

By the way, I am not familiar with mining but a quick question: Is merged mining in scrypt coins possible? I am interested in setting up aan ANC+MEC pool in Europe if so.. PS: MEC will go good with or without me I am sure, his developer is great but I think it is better to mine MEC with it's gravity thing and buy ANC who show better dynamics atm imho. WizzardTim does the opposite  I buy and mine MEC I believe MEC will be the winner, because of its dev and people believing in it. Kimoto has a hand full of surprises. ANC might implement Zerocoin first, but it will not be the only one, since Kimoto will implement Zerocoin too and the code is open. The only benefit of ANC is i2p, but after the Zerocoin implementation that propably will still be something, but not that large.. So, to sum up, I see that MEC is the winner for the following reasons: - It's diff algorithm - at last one rational diff alg / used for mining with no extremities. Kimoto has done a programming miracle
- Its website - nothing similar in the cryptoworld - cause the promotion is key on all these things
- Its website - translated in Chinese from the beginning
- Its exchanges - including a Chinese one from the beginning
- Its confirmation times
- Its a bitcoin fork - the only one that is based on a late bitcoin source release - thus including security /patches / lessons from the past
- The upcoming webstore and willingness of services creation. The price will get hiiiigher than expected, you'll see
- The beautiful wallet frontend - who can resist that???
- The mystery of its developer, who said we should be ready for a great journey
- The planned Zerocoin
It will be a journey, maybe one of the best chances of our lives / who knows? Believe and step in!!! Now is a good chance. It's not hard to see this community likes to pat each other's backs and post reaction gifs. This doesn't mean we're hyping it, it simply means we are happy, and showing our encouragement for sticking with MEC and watching our investments/trades double.
Now, you are the only person I see popping into this thread only when the price rises and talking smack when an issue occurs. Does this not say something about your maturity that you have to come into this thread butthurt over your decision to sell off your MEC at such an ignorant price?
I was trying to get a reaction out of you, I saw your butthurt and jumped on it, now look, the exact reaction I wanted, crying about pictures.
I too invest in ANC and a lot of other cryptocurrency, but I wouldn't jump on their thread and shitpost about images.
Read again, I was (and am) disappointed that this is not turning into a good investment - though it is perfect for trading & mining. Maybe in the future it will be THE coin don't know why not? But what discouraged me is the community, sorry. As for butthurt, trust me I have suffered much greater loses than about 1btc loss... Peace space bro. |

We have no delusions about our ability to control behaviour on a public and anonymous forum. We know what we signed up for when we chose it as our main communications platform. Bitshares is also a ponzi in the real world economy as well, but using the definition to demonstrate this is more complex. Not all bitAssets are necessarily ponzis, but it is very easy to show that bitBTC are a ponzi.
